Keen Sight (second Learning) Rank: "C" (Special, See Description) Skill: Supplementary Effect: While the Byakugan remains active, the user gains an insight bonus to Observation checks. Special: --- Drawback: Must have the Byakugan active. May learn up to 6 times. Description: Each time learned the user gains +5 insight bonus to their Observation and Sense Motive checks so long as the Byakugan remains active. When the user learns this technique the 1st 2 times they train it as a regular "C" Rank Jutsu. When the user learns this technique the 2nd 2 times they train it as a "C" Rank Jutsu +10 Training Points. When the user learns this technique the 3rd 2 times they train it as a "C" Rank Jutsu +20 Training Points. Limit: Must be in the Hyūga clan. Must know Byakugan.
Kyodai was about his business of strengthening the legacy of blood in him. He uses the Byakugan just about every day and slowly by sheer repetition and paying attention to what he saw it was strengthening. He used it both in his hobby of investigation and in his work as a medical professional. Observing small details day in and day out made his sight more and more keen. He would practice observing details even when he need not have bothered.
Kyodai was determined to be something more than a second class citizen of his clan and considered a weakling. After that spar with Loki he realized he needed to get much better if he was going to survive this world of Shinobi. His being a simple Medical specialist would not be enough to save him. And the one advantage he could at least improve greatly upon was his sight. Right now it was rather weak but it could be trained.
He knew it could be trained for others have done it before but usually an elder helps. But HE refused to go to his father for this. While his father wasn't necessarily abusive, he wasn't sympathic with his son who was more medical than martial arts. Either way though his eyes were important part to either skill set. Even more so his eyes were especially important as he was both now.
Kyodai might be overworking himself but their was little choice in the matter. Those that work hard succeed more often than those that don't. So he worked his eyes and his other senses to sharpen them for the days to come. He wanted to be at his peak for the village and for himself. He knew people hated his clan and he would be one of the people having to defend it. It was the same with his village.
Kyodai trained his eyes by the simple means of constant or near constant use. It was a drain on him sure but all that did was also strengthen his chakra systems as well. It was an added boon to his abilities. Gaining endurance and control was partly the purpose of the exercises he set himself. And they were just little things like counting the rocks along a stream bed. But each little exercise in observation strengthen his abilities.

Kyodai did get some help from his father however. For his father was not as insensitive as it seemed. His father knowing how his son felt and trying to build up the boy's confidence made it seem like any strengthening exercises was Kyodai's ideas. But His father had planted the idea in Kyodai's head already before that. More so he would talk with his son's co workers and the people helping him giving them ideas to pass on to his son.
He was helping his son in his own way. Even if Kyodai confused him on the hard path that his son had chosen. Kyodai was somewhat aware of what his father was doing helpoing him strengthen his blood line talent. Not fully aware mind you but aware enough to appreciate it and pretend he didn't know. So both father and son are pretending to being unaware of what the other was doing.
But then again it was hard to fool a Hyuuga either which way. With the Byakugan active they could see the littlest details and read people. Kyodai and his father were no different in that regard. Kyodai's talents were only weak by lack of focused training rather than lack of strength. He may not be the strongest Hyuuga but he did have the talent for very fine control indeed.
Kyodai also had the memory and nack for picking up the smallest details. He would then remember the details as he needed to. His memory was near perfect when it came to anything he saw or read. This combined with the abilities of his blood made him formidable in ways he was just learning. And learning he was doing between the near death training of Loki or the ever constant trickery of Rael.
Even the presence of Tamako, Lance, and Daigo with their arrogant ways pushed Kyodai further and further into his training. As he trained the better he became and the better became the finer his control of his sight was. It was an ever building cycle once started was hard to stop. Not that Kyodai or anyone who relied on him wanted him to stop. His strength would only help those around him.

Shomenuchi Ikkyo Omote Rank: "C" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: A takedown with an elbow lock defense against a high attack. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Picture Initiate the movement by advancing with your right foot while vigorously extending your right tegatana into your partner's face. Your partner blocks with his right hand to protect his face. Grab his right elbow firmly with your left hand and push his wrist down with your tegatana. Having unbalanced your partner by bringing his arm forward and down. Pin his arm at a right angle to his body. When an opponent is on the ground, the user is free to break an elbow, dislocate the shoulder, dislocate the write, or even strike the controlled target. The user is able to redirect 10% of the opponent's fighting power back to the opponent when performing this technique as a counter. Limit: Must learn from an Aikido Master. Must know Basic Techniques.
Kyodai went to his little outside ring area that he cleared up just to practice various taijutsu. Here he was with the friend and mentor form the crisis center. His friend was finally teaching him some of the basic moves of Aikido. While Kyodai has yet to fully master the basics he did have an understanding of the fundamentals. So it was time to both learn new stuff and practice the old.
Kyodai wore a traditional Gi for this training session as preferred by his sparring partner. It was apparently a tradition that he had been ignoring out of ignorance. But today he had corrected himself. With a bow to his opponent he dropped into a traditional Aikido stance. For now it was a learning time, not for him to develop his own style more. It was a simple set up as the opponent did the same.
It was time to begin with the demonstration of the lesson his mentor taught him. Kyodai initiated the movement by advancing with his right foot while vigorously extending his right tegatana into the opponent's face. His partner blocks with his right hand to protect his face. Kyodai then grabbed his right elbow firmly with his left hand and push his opponents wrist down with his tegatana.
Having unbalanced his mentor by bringing his arm forward and down, Kyodai pin his opponents arm at a right angle to his body. That was the whole move he was suppose to do. He quickly allowed his mentor up. At the angle he was at he could have either broken something or followed up with a strike. But since this was practice it was just to let him go and to do it again.
Kyodai and his mentor would have to practice this over and over. For that first time they did it in slow motion. His mentor had been speaking Kyodai through the lesson the whole way. More was needed of course. For this was the walk phase and before he use it in an actual fight it needed to be muscle memory. It was a grab twist and pull really. This technique would have painful consequences if they were not careful.

Kyodai reset himself opposite of his mentor. The person that was instructing him was a popular doctor of the crisis center. Though that person was generally an unknown to those that visit. That doctor only works on extreme cases dealing with bad augmentations. It was actually Kyodai's own augmentation experimentation on his hands that made him run into the man. It was him that assisted Kyodai in getting the procedure done.
Kyodai bowed to him again and put his hands up ready for another round of the exercise. He was to keep grabbing at his opponents arm. Once he had the arm is was a simple twist and pull. This was actually a set up for further moves as well. It was known to be one of a set of elbow control moves. It could be used both offensively and defensively. In close combat if Kyodai mastered both Aikido and Jyukken he would have little challenge.
But Kyodai knew though very few would actually get within his preferred distance. Loki the other day proved that the reputation of his Clan was such that it would be rare. But he could develop some jutsu's that would force that. It reminded him that he should really learn Shunshin so he could have the rapid movement too. But that was distracting him from his current goal of mastering these moves.
Kyodai would go through the whole process with his mentor more than just a few times. Each time they would go through it a bit faster. Until at one point they were going at full speed. Eventually he would be advance enough to go into other moves from the counter move of the move he was using. Aikido was great at countering, so it was interesting. It was yet another soft style but very different from Jyuuken.
Kyodai would end the session sweating for it was hard work to keep up with his mentor. But it had been a very satisfying lesson. When done they went over how he did which was fairly well. It was part of his learning process to go over a review of the lesson to make sure it stuck. They talked it over a couple glasses of orange juice. It would replenish and hydrate them as they talked.

Wrist Release: Same-Side Hand (Elbow to Elbow) Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: This technique should be applied if the other party grabs you on the same/mirror side (eg., grabs your right hand with his left). Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Attacker grabs your right hand with his left hand. Move your elbow forward, bending it until it touches (or is very near) your partner's elbow. At the same time, snap your wrist out of the hold, leading with the blade, or thin apart of the wrist. Move away, keep your hands up. Tips It may be necessary to step forward to get close enough to make the release. If a step is necessary, step in the same-side foot (if your right wrist is held, step with your right foot). To help remember the technique, think of it as "elbow to elbow." Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know the Fundamentals in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
Kyodai was back with his friend from the Crisis Center again. This day he brought Kyodai to a training center that was in the village. Showing Kyodai around, the instructor was telling him that he volunteers here teaching self defense to all who wants to know it. He works only part time as an instructor and actually was only a Brown belt himself. Here Kyodai is free to learn as much or as little as he was willing to devote time to.
Once they found a place to spar the instructor explained to Kyodai that they were going to do something that works with Kyodai's soft styles. Breaking out of a wrist control situation would be useful against users of Aikido like Kyodai. Kyodai nodded the use of this and bowed his head as he slipped into the basic starting stance. Once he did so the Instructor grabbed Kyodai's right hand with his left.
He told Kyodai to step in with the same side foot and move his elbow forward. Kyodai complied with instructions as they go through the basics of a Wrist release. He kept bending his elbow until it was almost touching the instructors. Then it was tip for Kyodai to snap his wrist out of the lock leading with the thin part of the wrist. Then He moved away and put his hands into a defensive posture.
And that was the basis for a basic Wrist release. Of course Kyodai knew there was much more to learn. But first he had to get good at this first stage. He was barely out of the Fundamentals. He was actually granted a Yellow Belt for his level of understanding of Krav Maga. Amazingly he was starting to get good at his chosen styles of unarmed combat. It was a slow process but it was benefitting him.
Kyodai went over the wrist lock with his instructor over and over a few times. After awhile his instructor held up a hand to stop them. And then bowed to Kyodai. "That is enough Kyodai, I got to get to the center but you can stay here and learn some more. " Kyodai agreed and bowed back to his instructor. As his instructor left he moved over to a group of eager young students who were also Yellow Belt to continue the lessons.

He Pan Zhang (Rubbing Palms) Rank: "D" Skill: Supplementary / TaiJutsu Effect: The technique "Rubbing Palms", sometimes called "Hand of Golden Dragon", is the most effective among all known methods of all the pugilistic art which are anyhow connected to "Rubbing" movements. Training in this technique is also aimed at strengthening outer power of the body and rearing the yang force in it. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: The method of acquiring the technique "Rubbing Palms" is very and very simple. Taking thirty bamboo chopsticks, best of all, square ones. Gather the sticks in one bundle and tie it up with a thin thread in several places. It is necessary to tie the sticks so taht not to leave even a milimeter of space between them. The sticks must be pressed to each other so tightly that they may not move. Take the chopsticks with both hands, press them between the palms and rub the bunch to roll on each of your palms. It should be done with force. The left palm must also move in respect to the right one and turn the bunch with force. When you are exhausted take a little rest. Over time chopsticks will be pressed in a bunch even tighter. At last, they will be so close to each other that even a silk thread can not be thrust through them. Now one must proceed to training with metal chopsticks. The training method with metal chopsticks does not differ. You will be able to break something instantly, crumple any iron or stone thing. Limit: Must learn from a master of Dian Xue Shu.
Kyodai knowledge and skill was progressing to the point where one of the Master' of Dian Xue Shu in the hidden leaf village took an interest in him. For his preferred methods of attack and defense was similar to this style. More so he was a master medic and his knowledge of the human body was very high indeed. Hyuuga Jin would not teach him because of the whole branch and main thing. But that didn't stop the old man from suggesting one of his students help the young Hyuuga be started on the road of this style.
So that student of the old Hyuuga that was also a doctor of the Crisis Center watched Kyodai with interest for the purpose of teaching him. He saw that Kyodai regularly worked out both with his father for the style of Jyuuken, showing great precision and knowledge. But Also Kyodai had been learning Krav Maga and Aikido curiously enough. After a time of observation the student instructor came up to Kyodai and offered to teach him.
Kyodai accepted of course and with a wicked grin the first task the student instructor had set him was rubbing palms. It was a strengthening technique for Kyodai to perform. For one thing that was noriced that Kyodai's hands were to fine and still didn't put enough force behind his blows. It was fine for his soft styles of Aikido and Jyuuken but Dian Xue Shu required more from the young man.
Kyodai understood and began his strengthening exercises. Each night he would take a sheet of strapped together wooden chop sticks and press it between his palms. As he would press these sticks between his palms he would shift and move his hands in shuch a way to twist and turn the chop sticks. the purpose was to tighten them so tight that not even silk string could fit between them.
One he got to that point with the wooden sticks, Kyodai was not done. He had to upgrade to doing the same with a sheet of metal chop sticks. Kyodai continued the trend even with the metal chop sticks working them over and over taking breaks only when exhausted. As he practice Kyodai could feel his strength grow and so did his striking power. For even in his other martial arts the training showed, especially in Krav Maga.

Eye Strike Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: This strike to the eyes, another variation of the straight punch, is made with your fingertips. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Left-leg-forward fighting stance. Driving your legs and keeping your elbow down as long as possible, extend your left hand forward. As your hand travels out, rotate your shoulder and hip forward to add power. Pivot on your back foot as if you are crushing out a cigarette. As your hand is about to strike the target, press your fingers and thumb together to form a kind of spear blade. Your fingers should be tensed, which gives them strength and usually causes a very slight bend in the knuckles. This helps prevent hyperextension. Stab fingers forward at a 45° angle, rather than straight up and down. This allows your hand to cover the most surface area. This Technique temporarily blinds the opponent for 1 round. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know the Fundamentals in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
Kyodai was still learning Krav Maga in addition to his other styles. Krav Maga gave him a very different approach to self defense. He knew very soft techniques of Jyuuken that relied on Chakra point precision but left very little physical damage to the outside. That required attacking internal organs and attrition. Aikido gave Kyodai a kind of redirection and grappling set of movements that made more of an impact but required mostly someone elese to be the aggressor.
Not always was the aggressor so clear cut for offense could be used for defense as well. This is something Krav Maga understood. So too Kyodai was coming to understand in his lerning of Krav Maga. It held both hard and soft techniques defense and offense. It was a blend of a mentality of total awareness and preparedness. With his eyes he was fairly well attuned to awareness but preparedness was something that had to be learned.
And he was slowly learning this through the various strikes and basics of Krav Maga. So far he learned how to follow through on his strikes which Jyuuken and Aikido did not require. Krav Maga as a fighting style blended with his other martial arts more and just added to. It was an odd balance that Kyodai maintained with such things. But for him it worked and now he was learning a new kind of hard strike.
He was using what was called a spear tip strike. Specifically Kyodai was learning to aim for the eyes with a spear tip hand. It was a open palm hard strike that used his fingers for the destructive force. It required practice to be able to strike with it without damaging his own fingers much less accurately. It was too dangerous to a person's eyesight to test on a real person.
So for Kyodai's practice he was striking first at an dummy. Then he would add motions of a shadow opponent to compensate for the lack of motion in the dummy. For if this strike was to be effective it needed to be quick and accurate. It was as with most of the Style that Kyodai was coming into precision and speed were keys to winning. And winning could be life or death of himself or his patient.

Straight Punch with Advance Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: You can make any straight punch while advancing to cover distance. Begin practicing with a forward hand, then try other punches while advancing. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Left-leg-forward fighting stance. Driving with your legs keeping your elbow down as long as possible, extend your left fist forward. As your hand travels out, rotate your shoulder and hip forward to add power. Immediately burst in with an advance, pushing off with your right foot and oving forward with your left foot. As you punch lands, close the distance by bringing your right foot forward. Tips In most cases, the advance should be on a slight diagonal to keep you away from your opponent's entire arsenal of counterattacks. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know the Fundamentals in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
Kyodai was realizing that Krav Maga was more in depth than he thought. For it was baby steps in which he learned the principles and techniques of what was loosely called a style. He had several basic strikes down that required follow through. He even had an understanding of the mechanics and mentality involved with such a style. But it was still a different prospect from his other arts. Here it was more about an environment one creates about themselves than a strict fighting regiment.
In Aikido, as Kyodai learned it was all about balance and redirecting of energy. His Jyuuken was all about Pin point chakra laced blows to disable internal organs. Neither had the mix of hard and soft or movement of Krav Maga. And now he was learning Diam Xue Shu and that was another pin point style but this time with enough force from the fingers to induce a condition.
But Kyodai's mind was digressing, It was time to learn more from his Krav Maga instructor. HE was learning from on of the basic Blue Belts that was in the dojo of Krav Maga in the Leaf Village. It was now to add how to move properly while striking. There would be times he would have to advance on his opponent to neutralize him. And this was how to advance in a way that doesn't weaken your blows.
His instructor was also expounding on why it was better to approach from the diagonal. Kyodai liked how the various instructors in the dojo explained why each move was like that. It helped him get his mind in on the movements by working on the whys and hows of it. Most the time it was just because it works from his other styles instructors. But in Krav Maga he was learning why it worked.
He wasn't having to relearn how to punch so much, as learning how to punch within a movement. It was harder than it sounds because if one struck to late your power is cut down from a incomplete strike. Now when mixed with his other styles that wasn't so bad as power was not his main weapon. But he may need the power behind his blows in the future. Besides it was fun learning why something worked.

Connecting Evidence Rank: "D" Skill: Supplementary Effect: In many crime scenes the perpetrator leaves evidence that connects them to the crime. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Fingerprints, footprints, blood etc, are the obvious ones, but it could include finding matches that originate from a particular club, or a rare brand of cigarette. All this is connecting evidence. Some people are good at spotting evidence that is out of place at a crime scene—lipstick in a bachelor flat, a holodisk when the owner had no way of playing it, etc. This supplementary for those that have the knack of knowing which evidence should not be there, and maybe links the crime scene to the Perpetrator. User gains +10 to relevant Observation Checks. Limit: Must learn from Universal Miscellaneous. Must know Observation (75 Points).
Kyodai was at home reviewing various evidence from his collection that he did at the run in with the purple rich man. He was at home connecting the dots to better understand what he had in the way of evidence. It was a harder mental exercise than one would think. And it wasn't all a mental exercise for he had gathered evidence on Rael in multiple locations. It was a way of connecting the dots.
While Kyodai hadn't connected all the dots neatly, rarely was life so forthcoming. So it only bothered him a little that he hadn't solved the few mysteries he had on hand. And the mysteries were small ones about people's personal lives. These were the hardest ones to solve for little evidence stays behind to be analyzed. But that did not deter this young amateur investigator.
Kyodai had bits and pieces on a few of those mysteries and he didn't know how much they were connected. First was the mystery of Tamako and why she was away from the Hyuuga compound. As one of their princesses she should have either been safely in the compound or surrounded by guards. Interestingly enough since meeting her more of the Main House Hyuuga have taken an interest in him.
Kyodai was unsure if this was a good thing or not. For if they had interest in him it could me more privileges or it could mean more restrictions. With the Main House's control over his life it was a razor edge situation. Then their is Lance who seemed to have disappeared shortly after that incident. He seemed to know more of the situation but now he vanished for now, maybe he was on mission or something.
And lastly the illusionist Rael, now he was mostly figured out. After a few encounters with the young man, Kyodai got an idea where this man's loyalties lie. It was really simple with himself and perceived power. Now where that will lead is probably trouble but a danger known is better than a danger unknown. Kyodai either way knew to keep a closer eye on all of his associates.

Straight Punch with Retreat Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: A straight punch, particularly a jab, can be given in retreat. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Left-leg-forward fighting stance, facing the attacker. The Attacker takes a step toward you. Simultaneously send a left punch while moving your right foot back, pushing off with your left. As you punch recoils, bring your left foot back to recover into a fighting stance. Tips The punch may also be performed with a slight duck to avoid an incoming punch. •Variation: To make a cross while retreating you will need to retreat first, plant your feet and then punch. This requires more precise timing than a jab, making it a bit more complex. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know Straight Punch with Advance.
Kyodai had another day training in the Krav Maga Dojo that e had become a member of. Since his original instructor introduced him to this place he had been coming here when his schedule permits. The last time he was here it was training on how to advance while striking with a straight blow. But now was time to learn a bit of the reverse, how to retreat while still fighting.
Kyodai knew this kinds of lessons were fundamentals of Krav Maga. So must be instructed upon to advance in the style even if he could figure out how it works readily. That was part of his problem though was that he thought to much. And lessons like this one was meant to make his mind the quiet one and his body do the reacting. It was the basis for muscle memory, it wasn't really the body but it was a habitual reaction that leaves the acive mind out of the loop.
Kyodai began the practice like most others that he had. He would go through a warm up to stretch his muscles. Then he would go through even more basic fundementals of how and when to punch. This was what Krav Maga was all about a whole philosophy of defense and counter attack. It required hard work out of Kyodai to practice this all inclusive style for it didn't readily match his soft fist style.
But Kyodai truly did realize that working this multiple use style like Krav Maga gave him more options. In a fight he was more flexible than even most Hyuuga for he could hit hard or soft as the situation dictates. He practiced this retreating move at the behest of the instructor. It was hard to do by himself at first, but soon another more senior student was helping out. That other student had gotten out striking pads for Kyodai to focus on.
The student would pursue Kyodai around the large dojo floor with the pads as he would try to strike them. He wasn't using any of his special abilities that he had with his hands. For those were for real fights alone not training in a dojo. The fight against Loki had been life threatening so he had to use every resource here not so much. At worse he was going to get bruises and be sore.

Straight Punch Low Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: A straight punch can be delivered low-to the midsection or even to the groin. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: While the basic low punch is the same as a regular straight punch, special considerations require that this punch be practiced separately. This attack can be made in attack or in defense. Starting Position Left-leg-forward fighting stance. Begin a standard straight punch. As you punch, send your fist low while dropping your body by bending at the waist and knees. Do not leave your head up while punching down-this would leave you to exposed. Do not simply drop your body down before sending the punch-this telegraphs the movement. Retreat or continue with a further attack. Do not stay down and in front where your opponent easily punch or knee your head. Tips: As with any punch, send your shoulder forward to add weight. This is especially important with a low punch because you need to create a reaction in the opponent that inhibits his ability to counterpunch while your head is low. Practice tucking your chin and bringing your shoulder up to protect your jaw. Practice retreating up and out to avoid counterpunches. Also practice continuing with further attacks. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know Straight Punch with Advance.
Kyodai had a little extra time this day so he doubled up on his Krav Maga Lessons. Again it was another variation on a straight punch. But this time it was specifically for striking low. It was an interesting variation that had a lot of considerations. And it would have good uses for putting it in a combination. So Kyodai watched and listen to an instructor explain the technique.
Kyodai saw the exact movement he needed for an effective Straight Low punch. It pretty much a straight punch aimed low. It wasn't the punch itself that changed as much as how to defend yourself from counter attacks. And that is a valid concern when fighting in melee ranges. Though it seems with all the ninjutsu and genjutsu running around close combat comes second but that is only if you are not effective.
For Kyodai, in the family he was born into, Taijutsu is just as if more important than the other arts. But he has gone a long way to have his own style of fighting that is the same but different than his Clan's. And now he will have another kind of technique to claim mastery of. Basically he has to duck his head down while punching to help defend the face. It was a first step at preventing a counter attack.
Kyodai Would thrust his shoulder into the punch for two reasons. The first reason as that extra twist adds power into his punches. Well into his open palm strikes as he rarely used a close fist for his moves. Same principles were applying though, at least to Kyodai they were. The second reason as that adds a bit more between his head and his opponent. With enough force he can forgo a counter punch coming back at him.
Kyodai Practiced this move over and over with another student holding punching mats. He had to get not only the power down, but timing as well. For timing was as critical as power when in a fight. When he finally had the move down he called for a break. As soon as they broke apart, he gave his fellow student a bow of respect and went to where he kept his bag with a water bottle and a towel.
