Harue thanks Vlad for confirming her mission complete, taking her reward and putting it away as she wandered towards Yuri's office to meet up beside her pink beast. "Um.." She smiles. "I-if you need me, Lady Yuri, I'll be there for you."

Nervously, Harue ushers her beast out the door and the two leave the Keep.

    Inoryu entered the keep and made his way to the binders detailing the missions available set on the tables. He browsed them until he found one that suited his particular needs. The description detailed mission credits for training, and he felt compelled to take advantage. He entered Vlad's office with the mission paper in hand, "I would like to accept this mission, please."

Description: The Kage has commissioned a new scheme in order to promote grow within the village. The series of missions are aimed at ninjas who wish to progress to the next rank, boosting their power so they are able to better compete for the rank of Chūnin, or Jōnin. Money is a powerful incentive to all, the missions also serve as an easy way to meet the exam perquisites, meaning that the ninjas should have no excuse on why they were unable to progress to the next level.
Objective: –For every 40 tp someone gains in techniques (not skills) they will receive a mission credit, along with a suitable reward. Please note this mission will not be backdated, you must come in and request it before the training commences.
Reward: Depends on Techniques learned Ranks (D ranks = 10k Each. C ranks = 20k B rank+ = 40k)

[An'ei Sekitan]

Houkou would enter in the keep of the Kusakage, the Mask of the Demon Dog on his left hip, and his blade Dog Star on his right. A hand would pass through his white hair, crimson eyes taking in the surrounding just to be sure there was no danger, an old trick that this dog just could not shake; it was a helpful trick. Each step reported the clack of metal at the bottom of his black boots, which reached halfway up his calf, the soles made of some kind of metal. Today he wore his Chuunin outfit for the most part, at least the cargo pants, black and tucked into his boots, which were held up by a second belt that did not hold his blade. Black tank top on his body, complimented by the Chuunin jacket, which happened to be white. A slight jingle of metal to signify the piercings in his ears and the chain that ran behind his head under his hair, also metal.

Today he was dragging a body with him, severed in half, pulling it by a handful of hair that only partially covered the red forearm guard on his right hand, his left hand still free and the guard uncovered. Crimson eyes would fall upon the boy that was there, going over his mental recollection of shinobi that made up the ranks in the village. This one was a Genin, young, but older than his daughter. Yamanaka Inoryu, if he remembered right. Practically a stick figure, he wondered if this kid was any use in a fight up close, deciding that if he was Yamanaka like Kiru, that was probably not the case. Stepping up next to the kid, practically towering over him at six feet and three inches of height, as well as out weighing him by at least seventy pounds of muscle, he wondered where these kids came from. No matter, he had more important business. He only waited long enough for Vlad to finish with Inoryu.

“Vlad,” he would begin, lifting the body he had dragged in from the last mission, “Here is the proof of my complete mission. Kiru was an asset, although I was forced to act. The mission was a success within the parameters set though, so no sweat.” He would wait for his reward before he spoke again. “Also, I would like to begin the next mission, if at all possible.” He would produce a sheet of paper, pushing it across the desk toward Vlad, which had the completed mission on it and the mission he wished to begin.

Description: Heike Tsutomu, the C.E.O. of the Shirokiya Corporation, has held a very clean and honorable career dealing with the acquisition and resale of fine art such as paintings, sculptures, statues, and other decoration. Lately, rumor has it, he has fallen from grace and began dealing with illegal arms and weaponry as well as narcotic substances. He has even gone so far as to send men to fetch people from the streets to peddle his wares. For these crimes the man has been deemed worthy of death.
Objective: Travel to Aokusa and assassinate Heike Tsutomu, head of the Shirokiya Corporation.
Reward: 75,000 Ryo (1 Anbu Cat credit )

Description: In the southern lands of Kusa no Kuni's countryside a religious cult has been gathering and causing extreme pain and distress on farming communities not sharing their religious views. The leader of this cult is a woman named Kuga Taree and word has leaked she plans on launching a crusade against Aokusa, viewing it as the source of blasphemy of the country. The mayor of Aokusa has sent requests for at least one team of Kusagakure shinobi to intercept and stop the invasion before they progress too much further.
Objective: Stop the revolt by eliminating the religious leader Kuga Taree
Reward: 75,000 Ryo (1 Anbu Dragon Credit)

Vlad groaned as he looked over at the two of the new arrivals that had made their way to his desk. He first turned his attention over towards the Genin first. Looking over his mission request, and stamped it and gave it back to him, "There you go... get lost." He then turned his attention over towards The Dog. "You know... a simple mission report would have been fine, we have Anbu confirm stuff like that." Vlad looked over at the... half of a body. Vlade shook his head, "Whatever, mission complete." Vlad then looked over the mission mission that he wanted to under take. He grunted a bit, "Alright... give me about... 30 minutes, to find to others. They'll meet you at the gate."

[Inoryu]

    There was a choke that Inoryu stifled. An overpowering, offensive smell filled the room. A moment later, a shinobi of the Grass entered into Vlad's office after him. His eyes followed the smell to a severed corpse hanging from the towering ninja's hand. Now he really was about to retch.

    The ninja was larger than Inoryu, by mass and weight, and obviously a chunin, with several metal pieces on his person that jingled with every step. The genin could neither move nor speak as the newcomer and Vlad conversed casually. He had to get out of the room. The presence of the severed corpse was overwhelming, yet, for reasons he did not understand, he forced himself to stay.

    At that point, Vlad had approved his mission and he was told to get lost, but Inoryu's curiosity wouldn't allow him to. This new shinobi that had appeared, with white hair, piercings, tan skin, muscles and crimson eyes, was a Chunin; a leader of the village. Yet, Inoryu had never met anyone like him before. So enigmatic his presence felt. His mission has been successful, according to Vlad, and the severed corpse hung in his hand by its hair was proof. But who was the man that the Chunin of Grass held? What had the man done to deserve his fate?

    The thoughts that Inoryu naturally gravitated towards somehow made the smell of death more offensive. All he could do is believe that the man had been incredibly evil, causing mass suffering systematically as well as possessing deep, dark psychological traits to warrant such a fate. The Yamanaka wondered if he would ever be asked to do the same. And could he follow through? Of course he could. He was a ninja of the Grass, and a Yamanaka prodigy. He would live and die by his father's principles, and one of those principles was that the most valuable of ninja always executes within the mission parameters, completes the mission, and follows orders to a "T".

    So in a way, Inoryu figured he was looking at a role model, a stark juxtaposition to Densho Kirigaki, his friend and former academy teacher. Densho was tough, a skilled ninja, and excelled at being a teacher. But where Inoryu saw a light in Densho like a beacon for the village, the Chunin that stood before him was a shinobi of shadows and Inoryu wondered where on the spectrum he belonged. He felt intuitively similar to the shinobi before him, holding half a carcass, but he also felt that he hasn't been truly tested as a ninja. He could train alone out in the wilderness, and even thrive out there in the jungles, forests, and grasslands of Kusa no Kuni, but he hadn't been on a mission to truly test his character. Inoryu tried to imagine the journey that the chunin before him undertook to become what he was today. Inoryu would only stand stalk still, holding his hands to his mouth and nose. Frozen in the room,  all that he could do to hold down the contents of his stomach.

[An'ei Sekitan]

Houkou could only grin at Vlad, that wolf’s grin that he could never truly shake when he smiled at others, all others besides his daughter in any case. While Vlad was easily annoyed, the Kusakage’s assistant had grown on him a little, almost like that companion you bothered just to bother them, even though you liked having them around. Yeah, that was Vlad.

“I figured they would,” he began, pulling the body from the desk and turning from Vland and Inoryu, “But, as you know, I’m a man who believes in doing things himself. Can’t help it.” A burst of Katon and the body was incinerated, although the smell lingered a bit, the smell of burnt flesh in the air for a few moments before that too was gone. Only ashes on the floor. Janitor would get that. “Well, off to do Kusa’s work again.”

Houkou could feel the eyes of the Genin beside him as he began to step away from the desk, about to head off to his next meeting, but he stopped and turned toward the boy. A fellow Shinobi of Kusagakure no Sato, probably gunning for the spot of Chuunin, but it would be a tough road for the boy in his state. Holding his hands to his nose and mouth, disgusted by corpses and blood, probably too naïve to realize that this was his life now or perhaps just coming to the realization that this world was brutal. You have to be brutal to survive a world like this. Or perhaps that only used to be the case… Removing himself from his self-reflection, he would raise a single eyebrow at the boy, the piercing gaze of his crimson eyes upon the young Yamanaka.

“Yamanaka Inoryu, correct?” He asked, although he already knew the answer was yes, but allowed the boy to answer first before continuing. “Noticed you have your mouth and nose covered, but are watching me rather intently. I don’t blame you. Odd scene. However, you’re going to need a stronger gut if you’re going to be a ninja for Kusa.”

Houkou would rub his chin for a moment, the reach into the pocket of his Chuunin Jacket, producing a pack of cigarettes. Placing one of the sticks between his lips, he would hold his finger up to the tip and light it, taking a good puff and exhaling the smoke through is nose.

“Maybe I’ll see you when I get back. The last Yamanaka didn’t have the stomach for this type of work either, passed right out. We will see if I can fix that gut of yours, because I detest weakness and won’t have it in my village.”

With that, Houkou would turn from the boy and head toward the door, opening it to find Sekizen standing before it, the huge black Worg that could bite a man in half, icy blue eyes regarding him.

“Time for the next mission,” Sekizen would ask, a gravelly tone but clearly in Common.

“Yeah, let’s get to it,” Houkou would reply as the doors would close behind him, he and the Worg in the process of walking away to the next killing field.

[Inoryu]

    The Yamanaka merely watched as the body disintegrated by fire, for a brief moment filling the room with an even more repulsive smell. He held back another reflex as the musk stifled his senses.  However, he would gather himself as the musk alleviated and nodded when the Chunin asked his name. After some words about Inoryu's gut, and "fixing" it, he would nonchalantly head out for his next mission. As he made his exit, Inoryu was stunned to find a large and deadly predator waiting for the Chunin. Instinctively he went into defense mode, but wondered how effective it would be against a creature such as that. Eventually, the chunin and his canine companion was out of sight.

    Inoryu waited a brief moment to exit to not appear to follow the ninja, at the expense of Vlad's annoyance of him, pushing Vlad's tolerance threshold for as long as he thought he could before he would move to forcefully escort Inoryu out. By the time he exited Vlad's office, Inoryu was all clear; not in the presence of Vlad or that mysterious Chunin. He would try to get back into the routine of things, but this encounter would cause him to ruminate about what it meant to be a ninja and would initiate a longing to define his own meaning.

    Inoryu returned to the Kusakage Keep and made his way to Vlad's office. When he arrived, the genin already had papers prepared with the details of the missions. He would be polite and not speak unless spoken to, patiently waiting until he was addressed. When he would be addressed, he would hand over the papers.
    
    When Vlad would go over the second set of papers, Inoryu would respectfully request that Vlad withhold the selling value of the armours created from his rewards. As it would be available for rent or purchase by all Grass-nin, he preferred to purchase it right then and there. He had already equipped the armour on his person to make carrying it to Vlad's office easier. The dark metal served as protection around his head and torso in a majestic display. The shadows in the room would also appear to be deeper around him due to the special material he used to craft them.

    After Vlad was finished with the transaction, Inoryu would also ask if the Kusakage possessed any books that might aid him as an artisan. He knew of Vlad's reputation for how he treats genin, but he decided to take the risk. He had to ask even though it may mean being scolded or worse.

Vlad finished looking over the Genin's goods and mission completions, and then glared at the boy when he asked if the Kage had any book that would help with crafting. "No..." Vlad said plainly, "But I'll tell you want. You can find such books in special book stores around the world. We'll pay you 200k for each one you can find." Vlad handed over the money to the boy for his completed mission and then leaned back in his sit as he began to read his books once again.

[Inoryu]

    "200K? That's seems like a worthwhile endeavor," he thought. Determined to find one of these books, he bowed respectfully towards the legendary Ikebana and turned to leave. There was nothing else to do but to grab a late dinner and get home. His stomach growled as he was reminded he hadn't eaten anything for over six hours while toiling away at The Shining Seed. After his biggest pay check ever, he was in a celebratory mood and decided he would go out to the local Kusa no Kuni barbecue.

    Inoryu would enter Vlad's office revealing two newly crafted pieces of armor on his right arm and shoulder. He would wait patiently to be addressed by the Red Thorn and hold out the mission form detailing the policy of The Shining Seed, "I've crafted armor for my right arm and shoulder, and I would like to purchase them now please." He would thank Vlad and exit after the transaction was completed.

Decimus entered the kusakage keep. "Good day, I know I am still on the Thirst for power mission and I am still working on my training!" Decimus said as he walked up to Vlad with a slightly apologetic look on his face. "Some stuff happened and I got delayed, however I am not ready to turn in this mission just yet. I have some here with another request." Decimus said hesitating a little. "If it would be possible I would like to go outside of Kusagakure to gather herbs and nuts. When I come back again though I do promise to turn in my mission and pick up another one to help Kusagakure a bit more!" Decimus said waiting for Vlads reply. If he would be denied he would simply go back to training else way it was time for a little trip outside to just escape the busy life here in Kusagakure while being bale to connect with nature in the form of gathering.

Vlad looked up at the Genin as he came and and started to rattle off excuse after excuse. Vlad didn't really care, and just rolled his says. "Yeah fine kid just go." Vlad gave the kid a slip to show to the guards at the gates. After handing him the slip Vlad sighed and then leaned back into his sit as he went back to reading his book.

Decimus was about to leave to turn around again and look at Vlad. "I attended the inauguration of the kusakage a while ago. Little late with collecting my reward but better late then never." Decimus said as he waited for his rewards before finally leaving the building.

Ameya sleepily passed up the two guards, one in the courtyard and the other just inside the doors. She instantly felt lost, but looking at the tables set up, decided they probably had the information she needed. She was told that she had to take missions. That had been weeks prior to today and she finally mustered up the energy to go out and make some money. She was running low on ramen cups anyway, so it was inevitable that she would come here in order to take on missions. The first table she walked up to she noticed that it was full of "D" rank missions. Instead of reading through them, she just grabbed the first one that she saw.

"Who do I even give this to?" she said to herself.

She started wandering through the doors, ending up in the courtyard and the dining area at least four times before realizing that she kept walking into the same doors. She wandered through another set of doors that she found and then somehow ended up going back out into the courtyard. She was completely lost and flustered. Eventually she found herself standing in front of an older man that was much larger than her.

"Umm . . . I have a mission. Can I do it?" she said to the man. She had no idea that she was talking to the exact man that she needed to be talking to. To him, it would probably seem like she was competent enough to know what to do. The reality was that he wasn't the first person that she said this to. She asked every single person she came across. At least now she would be able to finally take her first mission.

Objective: A rare breed of feline as escaped his master’s home, find and capture this rare feline without causing it harm.
Description: Lord Ryan of Kusagakure has lost his precious, rare, Feline named mittens. He is still in the village, and is most likely near the fish market, as he loves tune. Tour objective is to locate Mittens and somehow capture him without causing him to much harm. Upon acceptance of this mission, a capture cage will be given to house the cat, should you catch him.
Reward: 14,000 Ryo

Vlad didn't bother to look up from his reading as he reached over and grabbed the mission and looked over it for a second and then handed it back to her, "Knock herself out... not leave." Vlad licked his finger and then gently turned the page as he continued his reading.

Walking back into the keep, she had a cage with her. She was able to find the same man that gave her the mission without getting lost more than once. She slammed the cage down, startling the cat, and then leaned on it as if the mission she just did was more exhausting than it should have been. “I’m done with this one. Can I have another?”

Vlad without paying much attention to the girl, marked her mission as a success, and then then went to approve the next one. "Get lost." Vlad said rather coldly as he went back to reading.

    Inoryu had been milling about in the common room browsing through the missions available until he found one that aligned with his goals. Description: The Kage has commissioned a new scheme in order to promote grow within the village. The series of missions are aimed at ninjas who wish to progress to the next rank, boosting their power so they are able to better compete for the rank of Chūnin, or Jōnin. Money is a powerful incentive to all, the missions also serve as an easy way to meet the exam perquisites, meaning that the ninjas should have no excuse on why they were unable to progress to the next level.
Objective: –For every 40 tp someone gains in techniques (not skills) they will receive a mission credit, along with a suitable reward. Please note this mission will not be backdated, you must come in and request it before the training commences.
Reward: Depends on Techniques learned Ranks (D ranks = 10k Each. C ranks = 20k B rank+ = 40k)
