Kusakage Keep
The Kusakage Keep has been given the design of a medieval keep, using ashlar masonry techniques for the walls structure. Mosses of green and orange toned browns are scatted about the exterior to give it the feeling that it is not unnaturally out of place within the confines of the village. To each side and slightly above the large double doors that make up the entrance to the building are banners of green with the symbol of Kusagakure no Sato. After going through the doors there is a small area before reaching the Common Area with one guard on either side. One goes by the name Anistasia who is always seen with a broadsword at her side, almost white eyes without pupils always watching those who pass through the doors. Phelal is the second guard who remains ever alert outside the gates to the Kusakage's Keep building. Using his mastery over the arts of Genjutsu and mastery over the Raiton release, he helps maintain order in the building's area. Both of whom never seem to need to leave their post to sleep.

As soon as one passes through the doors of the keep, they find themselves in the Common Area, a place setup for people to take various missions, speak with others, or various participate in various other social activities. This is a long, almost hall-like, area which provides plenty of space to mill about with two long tables on each side of the hall with comfortable cushioned benches. On each table are several binders labeled either D, C, B, A, or S depending on what level of mission is within with two binders for each level of mission difficulty for each table. The tables on each side are separated by a set of doors parallel to each other, the first on the left leading to the Courtyard of the Keep and the first on the right leading to the Dining Area/Kitchen. Just past the second set set of long tables is another set of parallel doors on each side of the hall. The second door on the left leads to a hall which takes you to the Barracks where those with no home or who require breaks to sleep and the second door on the right leads to the Auditorium. Beyond that set of doors is a single mahogany desk with a solidly built attractive older male, with an uncanny intuition.
He goes by the name Vladimir Ikebana, He is in his early to mid 30s, standing at about 6'3 and is entrusted with certain decisions while the Kusakage is not present, he is also in charge of approving and paying out missions, granting permission to people who wish to enter the Armoury or Library screening those who wish to see the Kage in their office. He has shoulder length blood red hair, with a tight blood red t-shirt and pants, and wears a cross around his neck. He is an Ex-shinobi known throughout the village as the Red Thorn, Vlad the Impaler, and Bloody Thursday. He has the undying respect of the more experienced ninja, and in turn has respect for those who have earned it. He is easily annoyed by Genin, and come off as a bit of a grouch. He enjoys spending most of the day reading whatever book has struck his fancy. While retired, he still possesses the power and cunning he held when he was feared throughout the village and beyond, as he is not far off of his prime, if at all. *Challenge him at your own peril, little Genin *
Behind the desk is final set of parallel doors, the one on the left, guarded by two Bear ANBU whose faces are never seen, leads to the Kage's office while the door on the right leads to a staircase the leads either to the Armoury or the Library depending on whether you ascend or descend. On the back wall that are a few adornments, with the head of a fierce looking dragon stuffed and mounted sitting up near the ceiling. Below this are the portraits of the Dignified Kusakages that have come before each frame with a plaque stating their name and number; Yuuku: Nidaime Kusakage, Fina Sasori: Sandaime Kusakage, Hotaru Hanakora: Yondaime Kusakage, Raiel Kaguya: Godaime Kusakage, and Baek Ichinose: Rokudaime Kusakage.

Whilst most Courtyards are designed as an area open to the sky but paved with stone, the Kusakage's Keep has a one that is designed to be more natural. The side with the entrance has a small patio-like area with a stone paved floor and small tables and chairs and an overhang to shield a person from the sun or rain. Aside from that, there is no other signs of stone paving and instead the place is more natural with flowers and plants of varying species interspersed throughout the courtyard area without clumping too unnaturally and the center of the courtyard houses a small redwood tree.
