Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Technique)
Rank: "B"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: This technique creates clones of the user. However, these clones are actual copies, not illusions.
Special: "Clone Seal"
Drawback: The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power.
Description: The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after 1 or 2 solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original. Shadow clones cannot be distinguished from the actual person even by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance. A characteristic that is unique to the Shadow Clone Technique is that any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. This makes the technique ideal for spying, since the user can simply send a clone to spy on a target, then have the clone disperse itself without returning to pass the information back to the user. (Cannot gain extra training points through training with Shadow clone.) User is able to make up to 5 clones at a time. Takes the amount of time to perform a "B" Rank Jutsu. Shadow Clones may travel between different threads within the same board.
Limit: Universal NinJutsu Technique. Must be Chūnin or gain Village Scroll.
0/40 Gained scroll from Isley the Amekage
The evening darkness had arrived earlier than normally and the lamps on the street was turned on to display the plain concrete road and stale buildings. A young boy was sitting on one of the poles while greedily trying to keep his warmth hide within his robe along with a very special scroll. It had been just a few hours since he had left the village tower with it - the secret scroll. His eyes scouted the streets and his ears were on guard after any and all sounds related to anyone following him, but he was safe. "Yeesh, I cannot be this paranoid, nobody knows I have it." But he couldn't convince himself. He would need to get his mind off of it, so he shook his head and took courage to himself and jumped down to the commoners. They reacted at first as they weren't prepared of him doing that, but after a few seconds they didn't even care to notice him. "Unusually many out?". For some reason people kept on walking very tight together with someone else and despite that the darkness had arrived there were more people on the streets than during midday.
Emi followed one of the streams, but stopped as they reached an alley leading into a famous restaurant "The Heart". There were a fairly short line in there, but what made him wonder was the sign "Couples only". A small breeze carried along a delicious scent of well-cooked meat, which the boys sensitive nose quickly recognized. An instantaneous growl from his belly made him realize how long it was since he last ate. So he decided that he would try to get into the restaurant. Since he was ninja, it wouldn't be especially hard to do, but he wasn't in the mood to actually sneak in, he'd rather like to just take the main door. So he prepared his hands and quickly formed the seals to make a genjutsu clone. But as he was about to realease the chakra necessary, he remembered his scroll. Kage bunshin. "Why not use the opportunity?". He nibbled a little on his tongue before he decided that he would try it.
So he hid in the darkness on the other side of the road and opened up the scroll, while still hiding behind his robe. The start of the scroll explained the main uses of bunshins in general and which kinds were used most in the different nations. That information was little to not interesting at all to the boy, so he skipped ahead a few feet. When the signs was up, he did however know that he had skipped a little to far, so he began to read right before that. The scroll then described the mayor difference between the kage bunshin and the elemental clones, that it actually was a more real copy instead of a controlled puppet. There it even made a warning that if the person using the scroll was suicidal or self-hating, the clones could actually go against the original. When Emi reached that, he stopped and re-read the warning a few times.
"Wait, how does that even work? The original can't even control the clones...at all?". His brain immediately tried to find a good way he could work around that, but when he began to consider training Zetsubô to attack his clones if they did anything, he come to the realization that he better just remember not to use kage bunshins in cases he couldn't know what they would do. When he felt confident in himself again he kept on rolling out the scroll, but immediately noticed that there were more warnings coming. "Sigh, come on!". He just briefly skimmed through them and then headed straight into the part on how to mold his chakra. Since he had learned more than the basic bunshin jutsu before, he knew basically what he had to do. But as the description told him to use his chakra to mold the ever-existing shadows within the world and the chakra itself, it got to deep for the young boy to understand.
"Wait? I can manipulate light and darkness? and it exists in my chakra?". He raised his eyebrow and looked around himself on the darkness. "I guess I can try using this". He thought and pulled out the information on what seals he could use to make it easier on himself. The first dozen of seals were almost identical as the ones he had used to make it easier to create the water clones, but then a few of them changed from his own pattern. So as he began to mold his chakra and send it out towards the darkness, he focused on those. At first it really didn't happen much as he had expected, but as he tried it a few more times he began to notice that a small amount of the shadows surrounding him started to deepen and become tangible. Curious on how they felt, Emi reached out his hand and touched one of them. It was as if he was touching the surface of water. The matter did however vanish, but it gave the young boy some extra motivation to continue on, he made some progress.
Since he had seen it with his own eyes, the descriptions became more reliable to his own mind and he got some inner pictures of how the darkness deepened into something physical and even harder than before. Emi kept his eyes shut and allowed the images come to him while he gently moved his arms around in circles on his sides. He send out a larger amount of chakra than before and felt how his arms got in contact with some matter, which he collected into a spot in front of himself. it wasn't very hard for him to shape it into one of his legs, it was one of the easier things, but he was still filled with pride as he replicated it almost perfectly. The matter appeared to be far easier to control and manipulate its shape than how it had been with water, but it required more focus from his part. Emi smiled and looked up on the ongoing stream of people walking by. He saw all the couples sitting in the restaurant, hugging, kissing and eating that delicious meat. The stomach growled again, but as he looked at the warmth on the inside, his heart ached briefly.
