Loki sure was acquainted with a lot of foreigners. Claire was trying to be polite, so she couldn't begrudge that much, but these people acted much more personally. Like they actually knew her. The Sakurai didn't like it. It was too suspicious. She had promised to try and trust her comrade - no, her sister - more, but this was just ridiculous.
With a sigh, she considered her options. She hadn't gotten a complete answer to her second question, but the rest was certainly of value. There was certain across the various islands to be far more than enough orbs for everyone present to succeed, which meant hoarding them in bulk wasn't a viable strategy, because it wouldn't allow the prevention of the competition's success. Likewise, direct combat had little value for the same reason - with no incentive to hoard orbs, there wasn't likely to be many if any kept on-hand. No reason to risk your life for nothing, especially when you could just visit another island if things were looking sparse.
She approached the informant again, and asked for clarification.
"Sorry to be a pain, but you didn't mention if the cannon would activate the healing effect, or if the portal dispel worked on effects that can't normally be dispelled like Geases. I doubt anyone here is under the effects of one, or has the capability of inflicting them, but when I heard about that aspect it sparked my curiosity. I like to help my Captain dabble in chakra research from time to time, so I'm very well versed in Chakra Lore.
"Anyway, if this counts against my questions you don't have to answer, but it was mentioned the cannon is mainly meant for people with chakra-reliant bodies. Does that mean that a normal person isn't allowed to use it, or can't survive using it? I have to admit, I'm kind of curious what it would be like to get blasted through the air in pod. Probably like some kind of circus ride."
