Air Kick/Punch

Description: Range of this technique is 1 meter per Class Level. Duration of this technique is 5 rounds per Class Level. Target of this technique is line or cone shaped emanation. A more offensive technique found in Wind Release. Air Punches or Air Kicks are small, compressed formations of air that can be fired off from the limbs of the user. This tech applies an air blast in the sense that involves the firing of compressed or solidified air at an opponent in a distant fashion. This technique may be applied in conjunction with TaiJutsu techniques. User may apply this technique to the ground, spewing the compressed air within a radius. Radius of the technique becomes half of the user's range. These blasts deal 6 Armour Points of bludgeoning damage per Class Level.
Limit: Must know Wind Release.

    Inoryu was beginning to become more comfortable in his element, an improvement since just recently overcoming his fear of heights. He had confidence in the nine meter diameter platform that he stood on as well as all of the air around him. He was so confident in fact that to practice the next technique detailed in the scroll, he would perform a kata of gintsuki no seiko mei. Before he began, he executed the hand seal and chakra components to activate the technique. He then went to stand in the middle of the platform. 
    He started by dropping into the Drifting Snow stance. This kata wasn't to practice taijutsu against imaginary opponents, but rather he was his own opponent. The point of the kata was the defeat himself and improve finesse, technique, reaction time, kinetic linking, balance and acquire a new level of cohesion between all of his muscles. He started with brisk wind, the straight punch of the taijutsu form. From his fist, a compressed force of air shot out for four meters. 
    Inoryu inverted his stance by dropping his main foot back and switching his main hand to his off hand and performed another brisk wind, causing another force of compressed air to shoot out from his other fist. He then performed twisting cold, a technique that throws two brisk winds while inverting the stance between them and after the second brisk wind. Two more blasts of compressed air shot out from his fists and fired off as his body inverted to both sides. He stepped out and away with his main foot, leaning into the motion, and as he realigned himself shot out an elbow to his side; a technique called "Dancing Cold". Finally, he realigned the drifting snow stance, stepped forward as if he were executing another inversion, but instead of dropping his main foot back and inverting, he threw a surprise spinning heel kick dubbed 'spinning snow' which shot forth compressed air in a cone. He realigned himself back into the drifting snow stance and relaxed into a natural stance. He considered naming the kata "Flowing Iceberg," but didn't think about it too much. Rather, practicing gintsuki no seiko mai at such an incredible height for the first time strengthened his connection with the wind release, and where there once was fear was now transformed into exhilaration.

A user can propel themselves forward at great speed and distance by negating the effect of wind resistance. The user increases their Jump Good by +25 per Class Level.
Limit: Must know Wind Release.

    Inoryu's heart fluttered in his chest as he read the details of the next technique in the scroll. He absorbed the information and after a short moment, returned the wind scroll to his pocket. He had to take a few cleansing breaths to calm his nerves. He peered over the edge of his pillar and reaffirmed that he was indeed sixty meters up. Anxiety was building after the source confirmed that he would reach new heights. 
    He began to chuckle uncontrollably as a reflex to the anxiety. Perhaps he wasn't as over his fear as he thought he was. He looked over the edge of the pillar again and then up at the open sky. He began to reassure himself that no harm will come to him. From that moment on, it was mind over matter, and a simple matter of intention. He was determined to do it even more so after his unexpected response. He slowly weaved the four hand seals as his will power alone overcame hesitation. When the hand seal and chakra component of the jutsu was completed, he crouched down as low as he could and placed the fingers of his right hand on the platform. 
    Then, with one last deep breath, he jumped with all of his might. The wind release affected his trajectory by negating all wind resistance, and he found himself propelled to immense heights. As he shot through the air swiftly, he couldn't believe the heights he was achieving. The world became more distant, and his own space became seemingly infinite. The trees that seemed large on the ground now only appeared as just a small detail of the landscape. At the apex of his jump, where he seemed to float 110 meters from the ground for just a second, there was a profound feeling of freedom and joy began to rise within him. He used the air buffer to turn himself and face the Earth as he began to free fall. As he picked up speed, he was falling quickly. The joy that he was feeling became more profound and he immersed himself into that sense of freedom, observed the world with new eyes. As he fell, he saw his pillar begin to form in the distance and he used his air buffer to glide to that point head first. It seemed like a life time he was in the air, or perhaps it felt more like a transformation. He didn't think twice about it lest he took away from his experience. The nine diameter platform came closer and slightly larger in view as he headed directly for it. When the nine meter diameter platform was almost in reach, Inoryu turned himself in the air and landed on it gracefully. Such a sudden shift of perception to find himself a bipedal creature again on the ground. He stood there on the pillar, still exhilarated and immensely joyful, he was laughing and felt a happiness he had never known before. The fear was gone for good and he felt extraordinarily closer to the air around him. 
    Inoryu began to understand that the air represented something else besides, life, love, and self-cultivation. The air element also represented liberation. It was the profound release of the weight one had carried in their lifetime. The air is life in every sense of the word. It is joy and compassion. It is liberation and freedom. A new and potent love quickened Inoryu's heart.

Alter Winds

Description: Range of this technique is Touch. Area of effect is 3 meter radius emanation. Duration of this technique is 5 hours per Class Level. User subtly enhances or diminishes the effects of natural winds within the Jutsu's area, which is an immobile emanation around a point touched by the user as the Jutsu is performed. Within the area, natural (but not Chakra) wind effects are either increased or decreased by 1 step in intensity (Player's Handbook). The maximum wind force the user can affect with this Jutsu is based on their Class Level, as shown on the list below. Alter winds has no effect on Chakra wind effects.
"D" Class - Light
"C" Class - Moderate
"B" Class - Strong
"A" Class - Severe
"S" Class - Windstorm

    Inoryu opened the yellow wind scroll and took a moment to absorb the next technique. He was still high from the ecstasy of the last technique and naturally was eager to learn more. The alter winds jutsu would be the first jutsu he learns to impact the battlefield. He knew there were various glamours he could learn for deception, but the altar winds jutsu offered a new way of stealth. It could also come in handy in battle to stifle the enemy's ranged techniques, as a quick response to fires, sailing a boat, or attrition by other means. Determined to learn the jutsu, he memorized the hand seals.  
    By the wind scroll's standards, the natural winds that he was immersed in presently were light winds, 0-10 mph. It was a gentle breeze having little to no effect on the environment. Inoryu weaved the four hand seals and touched a point in the air by reaching out his arm and pointer finger in front of him. From that point, stronger winds began to emanate until nearly all of the second training area's winds became moderate. Even at the height of sixty meters, he could feel the winds nudge against his body and see the moderate winds pushing the grass below. 
    As the scroll informed, it was possible to effect winds to much a greater degree. S-classed ninjas had the ability to affect windstorm levels of wind and increase the degree of intensity into a hurricane-force winds. Not wanting to push the degree of winds, he would just estimate what class level he was and leave it at that. He weaved the four hand seals and marked the same point of origin so that the winds would revert to light winds. Instead of practicing the jutsu in depth, he opted to read all of the content pertaining to the altar winds jutsu and commit it to memory instead. [Eidetic Memory]

Aspect of the Four Winds

Effect: User taps into one of the directional winds to give them a bonus.

Description: Range of this technique is personal. Duration of this technique is 5 rounds per Class Level. Target is the user. User takes on the seemingly discordant characteristics of the four winds, making their actions and movements unpredictable. The user gains one of the following benefits based on the aspect they select at performing:
North Aspect: +1 enhancement bonus to Movements.
South Aspect: +10 competence bonus to Jump Good and +1 Fly maneuverability.
East Aspect: +1 luck bonus to Saves.
West Aspect: +2 luck bonus to Range Attack Damage.

Limit: Must know Wind Release.

    Inoryu was sitting cross-legged on the platform of his sixty meter high metallic pillar construct with the wind scroll opened and resting across his lap. He read through the contents, absorbing the material before standing, winding the scroll up again and returning it to his pocket. With newfound knowledge of the wind release came an urge to master it. He contemplated which aspect of the four winds he wanted to intrigue. After a brief moment, he decided on the west aspect as he could immediately test if he activated the jutsu. 
    He weaved four hand seals and produced a floating figment of a red balloon ten meters out in the open sky before him. He weaved the hand seals for the aspect of the four winds jutsu and intrigued the west aspect to enhance the damage of his ranged attacks. Finally, he weaved the series of another four hand seals that activated the air bullets jutsu. This way he could determine the damage output of each individual bullet and make sure the west aspect was taking effect. It was necessary to test the technique because the aspect of the four winds had mysterious enhancements, and if he were to merely fire off an air punch or kick, the figment wouldn't be able to stand a single attack even without the west aspect of the four winds. 
    As he aimed his right index and middle finger at the red balloon, he remembered that previously it had taken three air bullets to disperse the figment. He fired off one air bullet, and almost instantaneously, the balloon took the blow. The bullet shot through the figment effecting an entry and exit wound, but the figment remained floating despite the visible holes. Inoryu fired off another bullet and the second entry and exit wounds caused the figment to disperse. The aspects of the four winds jutsu was in effect, and he considered the aspects of the three other winds; the East aspect to improve mental resilience, the South aspect to increase maneuverability, and the North aspect to enhance speed.

Breeze

Description: Range of this technique is 7 meters + 6 meters per Class Level. Duration of this technique is 1 hour. Target is 1 Creature or object. User creates a light wind that blows against the target, from a direction of their choice. The breeze grants the subject a +2 bonus on saves against very hot conditions, severe heat, breath weapons, and saves against cloud vapors and gases (such as inhaled poisons). This Jutsu does not function without air or underwater. The user can only have 1 breeze active at any one time. If the user performs this Jutsu while another performing is still in effect, the previous performing is dispelled.
Limit: Must know Wind Release.

    Inoryu skipped the next jutsu detailed in the scroll. Since he acquired air supremacy, there was no need for a jutsu that would reduce the speed of falling. Instead he skimmed to the next jutsu, "Breeze." A jutsu used to dampen the effects of heat, hot conditions, breath weapons as well as vapors and gases. The jutsu would make him more adaptable to certain environments and conditions, and that alone gave him a new perspective. He saw great value in all of the D-rank jutsu of the wind release and it foreshadowed the immense value of the jutsu to come. 
    "Just one step at a time," Inoryu thought as he placed the wind scroll down a few meters away from him. He weaved through the four hand seals of the breeze jutsu and expedited a small amount of chakra for the release. His chakra transform inside of his body and manifested outside of himself. A constant breeze from the North placed Inoryu in a fixed vacuum of space. It seemed the jutsu was successful, but he wanted to be sure. 
    Inoryu would walk around the platform for a brief moment to make sure that the light, constant wind was fixed on him. It followed him everywhere on the platform. He would stop for a brief moment, just to enjoy the breeze and continue walking in another direction. The breeze jutsu made him adaptable, but it was also comforting, even pleasing. He imagined the many situations he could use this jutsu, including during a walk on a hot Summer's day.

Circle of Wind

Description: Range of this technique is personal. Duration of this technique is 5 minutes per Class Level. Target of this technique is the user. Light Wind encircles the user, leaving them in the center of a mild vortex. The user receives a +2 deflection bonus against ranged attacks. The user also receives a +4 bonus on saves against very hot conditions, including the negative impacts of mundane heat, and saves against cloud vapors and gases (such as inhaled poisons). This Jutsu does not function without air or underwater.
Limit: Must know Wind Release. Must know Breeze.

 
    Inoryu returned to the open wind scroll lying on the platform. The next jutsu was a variation of the breeze jutsu, the difference was that it targeted the user and have better effects. Not only is it more potent against very hot conditions, vapors and gases, the light winds had the additional effect of deflecting ranged attacks. Obviously the circle of wind jutsu conjured a stronger wind force, but it gave him even more adaptability. Not only did the breeze jutsu only target one person at a time, and can only be active on one person at a time, the circle of wind jutsu gave the user more benefits while allowing the user to effect more than one person with wind in this way. 
    He weaved the hand seals dog, dragon, bird, and serpent, then a vortex of wind surrounded him. The circle of wind didn't interfere or lessen the effect of the breeze jutsu in any way. Instead he realized that the breeze jutsu complimented the circle of wind to further protect the user. He could still feel the North wind gently bearing down on him, and the circle of wind encircled the breeze. He now had even more resistance to heat and gases as well as  deflection from ranged attacks.  
    Just to be sure the two jutsu would stay in effect, he would move around the platform. Indeed the two jutsu were fixed on him and went with him anywhere as long as there was air, and not underwater. Even if he jumped for 50 meters, the two wind jutsu would remain. As he returned to the wind scroll, the North breeze and circle of wind accompanied him, and he watched as the open wind scroll was pushed by the wind in his vicinity. He grabbed it quickly before it could be further repelled.

Cooling Breeze

Effect: User releases a breeze capable of drifting gasses away.

Description: Range of this technique is 20 meters. Duration of this technique is 5 hours per Class Level. User creates a Light Wind (approximately 9 mph) that originates from a point they designate, affecting all creatures, gasses, clouds, and fogs in its path. Any airborne vapors, fumes, clouds, smoke, and gasses drift away from the point at a speed of 25 meters per round and dissipate in 1/4 the normal time. In addition to the effects noted, the cooling breeze can do anything that a normal breeze would be expected to do. It can move wind chimes, scatter pieces of paper or parchment, cause candle or hearth flames to flicker, and so forth.
Limit: Must know Wind Release.

    The parchment fluttered rapidly in his hands until he straightened out the piece he wanted to read. The effects of a few jutsu were still active, and the two most obvious ones effected his person. Since stabilizing the parchment, he read the contents of the wind scroll and was ready to put it to practice. He carefully rolled the wind scroll up and locked it before sliding it gently on the platform out of the effect of his winds. The scroll gently skidded to a halt on the platform and rested outside of the effects of winds.
    He began by weaving the hand seals the jutsu required- dragon, boar, bird and ox, a simplified version he theorized from the series of six. He took a small amount of chakra from his chakra network and designated the emanation point ten meters ahead of him, five meters away from the edge of the platform. He waited briefly before weaving another series of hand seals. He couldn't feel the effects of the cooling breeze jutsu due to the active jutsu on his person, but he could see it. A figment of a single bird's feather appeared near the cooling breeze jutsu's point of origin.
    The result was the silver, black-tipped feather riding the winds. The feather actually gained more height as it was pushed away from the emanating point and rode the wind past Inoryu, higher than it began. He followed the feather with his eyes as it steadily rose and flew further into the distance. It reached the end of its ride about twenty meters away and began its gentle fall down to the Earth. The feather would fall slowly for the entirety of the sixty meters while simultaneously swaying and changing positions, sometimes the natural winds carried it. Inoryu estimated that it wouldn't reach the ground for a full minute.

Yuri walked into the training ground as she usually did, but this time she was accompanied by a detail of Anbu. They all spread out around an 200m radius just outside of the training grounds. They were going to remain there to stop anyone from wandering into this section. There wasn't really much to say about the area they were in, it looked much liked any other space in the area. It was a just an open grass clearing with trees line the very edges of the battle ground the Anbu had prepared for the combatants. Yuri walked into the center of the area, wearing her usual attire.

As she got towards the middle of the area her clothing began to darken in color as she was getting herself prepared for battle. Her green dress turned black, and shuffled itself to a tank top and loose fitting sweatpants. All of her articles of clothing were made of paper, and would provide her with added defense if needed. Her cloak turn black and with gold lining as a hood formed over her head, and cover her eyes. She had develop this in response to her fight with Houkou that she had yet to have. Covering her eyes, and removing the urge to stare into his sharigan eyes. This could be easier achieved thanks to her Byakugan, that she activated under her hood, once again to add a bit of misdirection to her opponents.

Her Hyoushi Blade and her Antirrhinum or Snapdragon Blade, rest at her side. Her Little dragon spirit that could be seen by a fellow Byakugann easily, rested on her left shoulder above her blade, and Mr. Nette, her Y'al spirit was floating upside down above her. She stood there, and her red hair blow out from under her hood, and an elegant smile stretched out across her face. "Whenever you're ready Dark Hand."

Followed Yuri, it felt as if a parade with the Anbu. The attention was rather enjoyable though, as the spotlight was one of many things he covets. Godric had his usual Multi Sword holster, stocked as well on his left hip and Benhime on his right. Also various things on his person stored in his slot containing appareal. But other than that, he wore his typical long coat and cloak. His hair silvered upon the dim light. His eyes matching the color.

They flared to the white of the Byakugan, no need to hide who he was. He was proud of who he was. His intensity falling upon him as he found his spot 20 meters to the south of Yuri. It was still night time of course because he only travels at night. Though he may burst into flames with the sun, it really is no harm to him, yet his clothing become scorched and thus need to repair. An annoyance.

Godric then raise a right hand in the air and with a twist of the wrist, "Begin..." Ladies first this time. Thus the start of another fight. This time he will be contemplating his movements a bit more in depth...

Deep Breath

Description: Range of this technique is personal. Duration of this technique is 5 rounds per Class Level. Target of this technique is the user. User lets out a quick cry and instantly feels their chest swell with air, as if they had taken a deep breath. Strangely, the user feels no need to exhale. The user's lungs instantly fill with air, and continue to refill with air for the duration of the Jutsu. When the Jutsu's duration expires, the user can continue to hold their breath as if they had just gulped down a lungful of air. The user can perform this Jutsu with an instant utterance, quickly enough to save themselves from drowning after being suddenly plunged into water.
Limit: Must know Wind Release.

    High up in the sky on his pillar platform, the sun was at the highest point in the sky. The sun light encompassed the entire hemisphere and provided light to the parchment Inoryu was reading. He was absorbing the content of the wind scroll, reading about a jutsu that fills the users lungs with air without needing to inhale or exhale. It was another jutsu that enhanced his adaptability, Inoryu was quite fond of the lower techniques of wind release for this reason. He memorized the hand seals; ox, dragon, monkey, rat, and weaved them in two seconds. 
    A high pitched cry escaped his mouth as if he were a crane and he felt no need to exhale as his lungs filled with air. His breathing stopped, but at this time he didn't need to. He sat down where he stood in a cross legged fashion, and rested his hands in his lap, thumbs touching, the left hand over the right hand with palms facing up. Without the necessity of breathing, he would purely focus on emptying his mind. He used the sensation of stillness as a focal point. 
    Inoryu meditated until the effects of the deep breath jutsu wore off. In that time, he mentally withdrew from his windy environment. His mind was clear, and he sat in the comfort of the North breeze. As thoughts came and went, Inoryu found himself deep concentration. The deep breath jutsu lasted for two full minutes and he held his breath for even longer. At that time he knew he could reapply the jutsu and he could continue on without the need to breathe, but in the spirit of self-improvement he was ready to learn the next jutsu.

Flying Weapon

Description: Range of this technique is personal. Duration of this technique is 1 round (or until discharged). Target is 1 throwing weapon. As a result of this technique, the user's next throw with any weapon of light size or smaller sees its base range increment doubled.
Limit: Must know Wind Release.

    Inoryu absorbed more of the contents of the wind scroll detailing various wind release jutsu. He was reading the details of the flying weapon jutsu; a jutsu that sharply increases the range of a throwing weapon. As an master of throwing shuriken, Inoryu found this jutsu to supplement his art of throwing. It wouldn't hurt to increase the range of throwing weapons to further enhance his long distance capabilities. If his calculations were correct, he could produce a silent image at a range of 240 meters and be able to hit it accurately. 
    So he learned all that he could about the mechanics of the flying weapon jutsu from the wind scroll, the hand seal component as well as the chakra execution. When he was ready, he weaved the hand seals to produce a figment of a red balloon 360 meters in front of him through the silent image jutsu. It was merely a spec of red in the vastness of the air. He weaved the hand seals for the flying weapon jutsu and expedited a small amount of chakra to be transformed through the wind release. Then when he winded back his right hand in the overhand throwing stance, a shadow clone of a small disc appeared in it in a puff of smoke. The wind release immediately enhanced the throwing weapon with the range increment of 15 meters to twice that. 
    He threw the weapon at the figment, the small disc sailed through the air towards the target. He did not give the red balloon figment substantial chakra so a single, successful hit would cause it to disperse. Inoryu went over his calculations again to be sure they were accurate. He remembered when he focused on the art of throwing, or more specifically, the far throw taijutsu. He examined the supplementary far throw jutsu's effects, allowing accurate throwing up to the fourth range increment without aim and further range increments for every supplementary jutsu there was to aim with. With the flying weapon technique, the base range increment of the small disk was doubled from 15 meters to 30 meters, and due to far throw can be thrown to 120 meters. Then the added range increments for the far shot, extreme range, flawless marksmen and eagle eye jutsu allowed the disc to have a full range increment of 240 meters. It wasn't the full extent of the range of the silent image jutsu, but it was an extreme distance for an accurately thrown shuriken. He watched as the flying disk sailed the distance until it impacted the target, causing the red balloon to disperse before drifting down to the end of the third training area.
