Greetings Everyone and welcome to the 2017 Advent Calendar. Today is December 24th, which means Day 24 of the Advent Calendar and the theme for today (If you couldn't see the big letters above) Is Christmas Eve! Yes, the day right before Christmas where people anxiously await the gifts that they are about to receive. For you all, the wait is almost over. Tomorrow, the final gifts prizes will be given out. But today is a little different than the other days. Today is a special event as the Advent Calendar nears an end. For this, I want to think back and hear your thoughts on the Advent Calendar. There have been 23 days before this, and 12 events (Since most were two day events), so I want to hear your thoughts! There are four things I want to hear about.

Listed below is the list of events from the various days that we've had. I know there are still a few that need to be awarded, but with the Christmas season, I've been having trouble getting around to them. Rest assured, it will happen. I promise you all! But your words here will help me out with future events that could be as grand as this or just something small throughout the year!

After 24 hours, I'll reveal the prize to you all. And As Always, All entries also enter you into a chance to win the five prize packages at the end. My favorite day was a tie between Snow and Gift Giver. I love descriptive writing and playing my IC character in letters. Both very fun!

My least favorite would be the candy canes. I... I don't like candy canes. I don't think I can even come up with a candy cane I'd want. Who invented these damned things?

My favorite prize so far has been a... oh shoot, I got a gem of reflection?! I totally forgot about the candy cane prize. I gotta go claim that for this account. Mm... okay, but I still don't like candy canes.

The advent calendar is one of the most enjoyable and bountiful of the OOC events and contests. Its tasks tend to be short and sweet, but not a dull participation. I do feel bad for people who may not be available during this time of the year to join us for the event, though, so that would be a big drawback. I would love to see similar moments of celebration for other major holidays!

1) What was your favorite day and why?

I really enjoyed the gift giving day and the letters. The gift giving was great since you could make someone happy. Writing letters was fun since you could express your feelings for someone yet stay anonymous.

2) What was your LEAST favorite day and why? (Don't think you'll hurt my feelings here or anything. I want to hear it!)

The snowballs. But that's a personal preference.


3) What was your overall favorite Prize and why?

I liked the event that had the option of receiving Thanksgiving rolls. It made things a bit more exciting since it was more random.

I liked that it was spread over two days or 24 hours. We live all across the world in different timezones after all. In addition, it made the contributions better since we had more time to make them.

[Skulking Shinzu]

1) What was your Favorite day and Why?

The gift giving for sure. It was nice to be able to specifically ask for stuff you need and to be able to make someone's day by giving them what they wanted.

2) What was your LEAST Favorite day and Why? (Don't think you'll hurt my feelings here or anything. I want to hear it!)

Probably the snowballs. Felt a tad guilty when I saw some people ended up with a lot less Ryo than others - but that's just me. It was still pretty fun overall.

3) What was your overall favorite Prize and why?

100% Day 5/6 - Twelve Days of Christmas. Bloodlimit change vouchers? Village tech scrolls? Crafting Vouchers? These were awesome rewards that went beyond the norm of just giving Ryo or items anyone can get anyway. It felt really cool being able to get these types of rewards because they really felt like 'contest-only' rewards. Hope to see more of this kind of stuff in the future.

Overall really great and fun event. Like mentioned before - I really loved the rewards for Day 5/6. Hope to see more of them in the future and a new variety.

1) What was your Favorite day and Why?

My favorite day was when we wrote the small story about the snow landscape, It made me rethink how I imagined myself in such a nice environment.

2) What was your LEAST Favorite day and Why? (Don't think you'll hurt my feelings here or anything. I want to hear it!)

The snowballs fight, I didn't want to throw any as I'd just hurt their happiness by doing so, yet I had to. The prize was also not worth it as I'd rather throw snowballs to give others money instead of reducing it.

3) What was your overall favorite Prize and why?

Well, we haven't received all yet, but as I've had the possibility to actually gain some items I've wanted with low % chance to find, that is the things I've appreciated the most.

4) Anything else you can give to me! What would you have done differently? Were you overall satisfied with the whole event? Would you participate in this again if it came up? What prizes would you have rather seen in this? Anything at all would be fine to put in this category. I just want to hear your overall and personal thoughts on the Advent Calendar.

I would want you to get one or two helpers doing this as it is still a lot for you to do, even if it is far less than previous year, we want you to feel you have the time to join the event as well

1)Gift Giving! I love interacting with other people and making them happy, gives a great opportunity to feel good!
2) I don't know, really. They were all pretty darn good. Maybe the captioning one? It felt a little less creative than the other submission thingies!
3) I'm a scrap hoarder! But I do like stronghold and other allowances too.
4) Honestly man, I'd love to see you get some help! Doing rolls and stuff could easily be made easier if we had "Gift Giver's Helper" or 2. It could even split up the PMs so there's less mess, like you did with the lights and Caela Hyuuga.

[Spectre of the Falls(Kuroki)]

1) What was your Favorite day and Why?
My favorite day was the days of thievery. It was fun having a hidden competition against others and still most people winning.

2) What was your LEAST Favorite day and Why? (Don't think you'll hurt my feelings here or anything. I want to hear it!)
It was a specific day I didn't like it was basically any of the graphics competitons because I couldn't really compete for my couldn't even really see them much less manipulate them.

3) What was your overall favorite Prize and why?
My favorite prize was the village scrolls. With So much change or absence of Kages I was not really able to get them and they are behind walls of not able to get for this or another reason.

4) Anything else you can give to me! What would you have done differently? Were you overall satisfied with the whole event? Would you participate in this again if it came up? What prizes would you have rather seen in this? Anything at all would be fine to put in this category. I just want to hear your overall and personal thoughts on the Advent Calendar.
I wouldn't have done much different. I wish more of the staff was able to help. But other than that I just eagerly await the hidden prize as well as the prizes that are still being sifted through like Gift Giver Letters, and the lights.

[Lianaly Fox]

My favorite event was Candy Cane, mostly because I really loved designing and coloring the candy cane, then trying to make a description out of it. I usually don't enter art contests, but that was still really fun for me :3.

My least favorite event was Snow, not because I didn't participate or it was hard, but I'm just so slow at making descripted essays that I ran out of tine before I finished it. Wasn't that surprising to me, but I just wasn't feeling it.

My favorite prize was everythprizeI loved each and every one of the goodies I got during this event. I found a use for every last one of them, even if I'm only going to sell them for more ryo.

Lastly, I'm very happy with the way the event is run right now. It may have gotten a little backed up, but you ran this very well either way. So keep doing what your doing :3

I did not enjoy anything where I had to physically make something artsy. The 12 days of christmas one confused me too so I just skipped it.

I haven't really gotten anything that interests me that much. Some Ryo and a few thanksgiving rolls. I'm a bit burnt out on those. Don't get me wrong money is nice. But none of the events that seemed worth the effort had anything I was particularly after.

The event really helped out newer members get some things they might need to jump start them. Some of the prizes were really cool! the jutsu scrolls from other villages etc. But they seemed to only be on one of the events or so.

1) Gift giving is always my favourite, it lets you make people happy and get them items they may struggle to otherwise get.
2) I can't really say having only participated in the gift giving, but I just never really liked the snow ball events. I can't explain why they jsut sort of grind on me
3) I always love a good scrap XD too many character ideas
4) It takes a lot to run this sort of event and over all I am very impressed and proud of you GG

I thought the events were pretty good, certainly tried to post in them all!

1) I only really did 2 events, the gift giver one and the snowball one, of the two my favourite was easily the gift giver one, as it allowed people to write IC letters to the gift giver as well as ask for something they actually wanted which was pretty cool, better then Ryo.

2) The candy canes event, I'm really terrible at that kind of stuff so I skipped it

3) My favourite prize would be either a scrap or an Event credit, I tend to change the flow of my characters build a bit in several areas a lot just to try to get it just right, besides having multiple characters it can be a bit of a struggle.

4) I think we should've gotten more chances to earn scraps and stuff like that, and less chances to get Ryo as it's something everyone already has, even if not a lot of, but overall you did a pretty good job man, I imagine it isn't to easy to run an event like this.

i really liked the day where we wrote a letter to gift giver IC, it was really fun lmfao. i like doing things like this ic tbh, when it involves the character

honestly the whole thing was great, even the ones i didnt participate in/particularly like. i love ryo as gifts, but also more of getting exactly what i want is fun too LOL, like the asking what i want and the actual gift exchange. hated all the math tho, as u know i messed up a bit haaaaaa

1) My favorite event was Gift Giver. Though we haven't gotten the prizes yet, I think it was fun doing and OOC event IC.
2) My least favorites were the ones that we had to color or edit pictures as I don't have a program for that
3) I liked a lot of the prizes, from rolls to event credits as they are something that would take more time to acquire IC but being part of community events rewarded us to those measures as well.
4) I think you did a splendid job Gift Giver. Giving more than one day was great because it gave everyone time. I would just like to see more OOC events that had to do with our character IC like writing letters. That was cool lol

I've only participated in like 2, but my favorite out of them was the snowball fight.. if not for nothing else but to critical to the jaw.. and also.. it made me sorta rich lol

My least favorite were the picture ones also. I can't color, can't draw..so yea. Also, the PM light thing.

My favorite prize was the money.. or if i somehow get that Kyuushi blade for Christmas then that would be.. or perhaps my poison.. hmm

I think you ran this event wonderfully. Much better than I could have thats for sure!

1) My favorite day would have to be the even where we wrote you letters; everyone was in character and it just seemed so personal for every character that participated.
2) Sorry to say, but Candy Canes are not all that interesting to me; it was still fun, but it was the least interesting.
3) It's not really about the prizes, but I did enjoy the energy gem I got. It's useful to me, and I can find a way to make it fit my character.
4) Everything was done with a rather fun thought in mind, and to get everyone involved so no one felt left out. You did a good job, keep it up.

Snowball fight. It showed me my true enemies here on the site o-o. Jkjk but that was really fun

Anything that required drawing or photoshop. That was a little hard to get into!

You did a wonderful job! Especially since you did it all by yourself and didn't really have much help. I think next year tho you should recruit some little elves to help you out!

The LIGHTS, as that is the only one I participated in.

They were all actually really cool and well handled, especially considering its one person by themselves. No least favorites here, they were all dope.

I havent won anything, but giving thanksgiving rolls was cool.

Ive never celebrated christmas in any capacity irl so i didnt participate because i didnt want to intrude on anyones thing/dont wanna be in the way. Was interesting to observe though. I'll possibly dip more toes in in the future.

Your help in this particular event has been most appreciated. As much as I am putting this event on for you, it is feedback like this that will help me most of all. When I did this few years ago, I fully believed I would never do this again because of the effort that it took. But seeing your feedback has made me realize that this is all worthwhile. I will do what I can to get some helpers next year (If it happens) so that I can get all rewards out in a timely manner. But for now, I want to give this to everyone who participated in this thread!
