Rain!
And it had rained forever. Roze shook herself like a dog, trying to get rid of the slight moisture that crept down to her arms. The petite girl was sitting under an old, tall tree which gave her cover with its wide, thick branches, yet it let few drops fall down to its roots now and then. It was warm rain, thus the Yamanaka with sun yellow hair and those rare orange gold eyes didn’t freeze in her hide. Instead she was smiling, enjoying the scent of the fresh, lively nature, even giggled nervously when the clouds roared somewhere far away from her. Of course, all of this was the Amekage’s fault. He had dragged her here, slammed a head band to her hand and abandoned her then. She had no house, no stay, no shelter, only a small tent, and of course she couldn’t place it in the middle of the village. Thus, she was lost in pouring rain now. Everything was his fault, not hers.
It started to seem that the rain would never end, but at least she had a fairly dry and comfy seat, reserved only for her to the show of ‘Nature’s Joy.’ Well. Actually, she had something else in mind.
The girl took a small, shaky breath and moved her hands down from her lap slowly, pressing her palms against the dust dry ground. Roze wasn’t only a poor little wanderer now, she was a real ninja – and, she would be the best! A small, mischievous smile rose to her lips when she thought about it, how would Naga-kun react when he’d see what she could really do? Little did he know, she had been trained by the most self-confident and loudest master in the whole continent! As Master Wing Chu Maya had told her:
“If you really, truly want to become a ninja, all you need is guts.”
The Yamanaka took a deep breath and closed her eyes, concentrating first to what she felt under her palms. Dry, light ground, not thick in surface depths, most likely. In other words, easy target. Next, what was inside of her? Another deep breath and the young woman focused to her precious gift, the chakra which ran inside of her, easy to reach. With all the peace her concentration gave her, Rozy guided the streams of her chakra to her hands, and opened the ‘gates’ there to force her chakra to the ground below her.
Ground was so much different than her primary ‘element,’ water. First of all, it was… solid. Had she ever tried to force her chakra into solid things? Under the girl’s small palms could be seen a familiar glow of chakra, but the process wasn’t going as well as she thought. When it found small routes, made by the smallest of animals, her chakra mixed in the ground, but very, very slowly. And, the purpose of it wasn’t quite filled: She found escape routes, her chakra didn’t really agree to pour in the ground itself. And the girl felt it. In her frustration, Roze let her canine dig in the soft flesh of her lip lightly, but enough to keep her sharp. The slight pain was followed by a deeper breath and new attempt, as the girl tried to push her chakra in the ground, mix it forcefully with the element. Such way was a bit tiring, though, and Roze was the kind to get easily bored and frustrated.
The girl sighed sharply and removed her hands from the surface of the ground, where only small hand prints would show that she had been here. With a small pout, she watched the marks she had left, shook her head and leant back to the trunk of the tree to take a look of the nature’s show again. It was still pouring, like someone had cut open the skies. Roze gazed boredly the wet ground, she’d have to wait for it to dry before she could try to find her way back to Amegakure again… And with that thought, one of her usual light bulb moments came; her eyes widened slightly and gained a curious gleam, and with that the girl crawled carefully closer to the border of her dry area and the wet ground: It was as clear as white’s and black’s would be.
In her new position, the Yamanka leaned forward carefully and placed her palms to the surface of the moist ground, giving a small shudder when the water poured on her before so dry and warm hands. The girl tried to ignore the bothering element, took yet another of those ‘calming’ breaths and closed her eyes, repeating the earlier process, but now mixing in the knowledge she had about water element, too. With water, the power element of nature, she had got so far that the girl could create water out of nothing for her elements. And, water was all around her, always, she could sense it. This time, much of her friendly nature force was in the ground, and she sure knew how to handle it.
Her chakra tried to find its way in the solid ground again, but this time it slipped in easily, reaching for the water sources inside the ground like to meet old friends. Yet, some of the water had sunk deep, and the glowing energy had to push through the rock and sand, all kinds of ground materials to find it. And, this time the process didn't even strain the source of the chakra so much, it felt so good to success that the usually proud Yamanaka didn't even mind pressing her hands to mud. After all, wasn't mud supposed to have some kind of good effect on skin?
It felt strange, how she was everywhere, her chakra crawled deeper and deeper in the ground, like an over-excited mole. It felt great, actually, thus the fresh ninja didn't really notice when it started to get harder to guide chakra in the soil - she didn't stop before a sudden wave of dizziness hit her, and the girl had to move her hands quickly to her sides to support her body. Slightly surprised, the girl sat there for a small moment, calming down her breath - when had it become so fast, anyway? And now she felt a bit cold, too. A dark glare was given towards the gray clouds up in the sky, and the girl crawled back to trunk of the shelter tree, just to curl up there and fall asleep in seconds.
