Crimson Prison | AnBu HQ

Ground Level

Above the surface of Amegakure, the city scape and the hustle of the village's life dominates the attention of all, from children and woman and all in between. Each of these people whose life is innocent and not scorned by the touch of sin, know nothing of the life under the metropolis of Amegakure. For those that bite the hand that feeds them soon learn of the life that awaits those who give into temptation and fall to sin, or in simpler words defy the will of the Amekage.

For those that do fall into this category, they will find themselves heading to a place made to break the will of all who dwell there. Deep under the city of Amegakure is the Kage's prison, above ground the entrance has that of an abandoned building, of what used to be a mental asylum. It is rumored to be haunted, wails and screams can be heard and as a consequence it has been left to an existence on the outskirts of the village where the city scape has chosen to develop away from it.

Levels B1 - B6

But in truth this facades has been created by the Amekage and the ANBU of the Wolf Division. Upon entering the building is abandoned and run down, however for those who know the way. Following the various paths towards the basement, once in the basement one will find a hole in the wall which leads to an underground cave. Dimly lit and silent, the cave leads for some time on a slight downward slope, until you reach a steel door. From this point noises can be heard, clanging movement, shouting all the various sounds of life. Opening the door one will be presented with the prison of Amegakure, made of rust-less steel the hulking structure delves down deep with over 9 levels of cells offices and upon the deepest level there are various torture chambers and solitary confinements. The structure offers no luxury for the cell mates, they eat sleep and live in their cells.

There are no cafeterias nor yard time, this prison holds no sympathy for the incarcerated, from dangerous Shinobi to simple thugs. But regardless of the level of crime, the security remains the same, high-level and non-yielding, along the various platforms between floors. Numerous ANBU patrol the floors, mainly those of both the Wolf and Bear squad, assigned in pairs on patrol able to provide a combination of strength and submission in case of any security measures.

Overall within this deep cavern enemies of Amegakure reside here awaiting an end or an everlasting torture, those who withhold information find themselves in the grips of the Wolf ANBU. To say the least it is here that the true nature of the Kage's will is excused and his true methods demonstrated.

Levels B7 - B9

The AnBu headquarters is located directly next to the prison, why this is? It was originally conceived as a tactical plan as hiding under one's nose would be. Who would think to look in the prison for the elite black ops units in the prison itself? It was this keen thinking that led to pockets of rooms being good and perfect strategic areas for meeting rooms for the individual divisions of the AnBu. Each division having an equally sized meeting room, living quarters when incapable of going to their own homes, a mass training arena in the center of it all, and finally a mass meeting room for the AnBu commanders of every division or their temporary commanders when the commander him/herself cannot make it.

The locations of all this is directly below the prison, further below the corridors and different terrain that lead to all of this. The assessment of tunnels and gear are all highly centralized around the Wolf Division specifications as they run the show when under these grounds. No, their authority does to supersede the Dragon Division nor the Amekage, but their voice and opinion is heard higher than most others as this is their domain. Camera surveillance and proper security makes for this to be a high tech and well managed area for the AnBu, the safe houses, and the prison alike.

Rules:

1. No NPC can be controlled by anyone else in this thread besides the Amekage or the Wolf Division Commander. This means that should a Warden not be awarded to a PC character, the current Amekage or Wolf Division Commander will NPC the warden until a PC character is elected.

3. No one may enter the AnBu quarters unless given permission by the Amekage and/or escorted by a Commander of one of the AnBu divisions.

The Anbu units assigned with transporting Emi Hoshigaki moved through the city as discreet as any shinobi could, taking full advantage of the architecture put in place by the founders of the village so many years ago. The constant downpour that plagued the land made flooding quite possible, and with the buildings of the village mirroring that of skyscrapers, it was undeniably easy for them to maneuver out of sight of the public via village rooftops.

They came upon the prison, their HQ, from the sky, landing upon the roof of an abandoned building like the rain drops before them. In the public eye, this building was nothing more than an asylum for the mentally insane; established far from the civilians on the outskirts of the village, this was actually the entrance to what many have come to know as "The Crimson Prison".

The Anbu trio, with Hoshigaki in tow, would enter and begin their descent toward the basement floor, where the true entrance to the prison lay. A hole in the wall, and no longer were they in the makeshift asylum .. they had now entered the last stop for any criminal of Amegakure; the nine floors below ground level had almost always assured that once you were placed in here, you never got out.

Emi was no mere prisoner -- no, he had been in and out of this prison for as long as he had been a part of the special ops. It was assumed he knew his way around the prison quite well, and so they had improvised, detailing and remodeling a a unique cell just for their most prized jounin.

When he awoke, he would find himself strapped against the back wall. His movements would be extremely limited .. everything would be shackled: hands, feet, arms, ankles, and neck. There would be one Anbu guard there when he awoke, under orders to constantly drain the shinobi's chakra and keep it at the lowest point possible without killing him. Of course, he possessed such a large chakra reserve that multiple Anbu's would switch in while the previous took a rest.

If that wasn't enough, if the shark was ever able to focus and observe his surroundings, he would find no bars or anything resembling an entrance to the cell. The bars and metal were still there, but between them and him was an earthen wall, produced by a shinobi who credited themselves with a mastery in the art of doton.

It was located on level B5, in the western wing. Without the proper knowledge, it was hard to notice.

And it would be here-- under the land, hidden deep down in an abyss of ripe shackles, holding cells, and torture chambers would ~Emi~ find his new home.

enter: to kill 

The great crimson prison sat in an abandoned state. It was large and beautiful, yet dark and foreboding rising out of the shadows and rain with its towers and terraces. It was whispered the great halls held secrets and the passageways could empty into ghostly hauntings of the tormented. It was no mystery that the surrendered building which remained before her used to be a refuge for the crazy, in any case, regardless of whether the bits of gossip were valid or not remained a puzzle to her as this building stood even before her time, and she herself is viewed as an oldie. This prison was huge, and she has seen a few throughout her years. And it looked evil in the gathering dusk, staring with blank eyes, the rows of windows frightening in the lashing wind and rain. The structure was several stories high, with long battlements, high rounded turrets, and great towers that rose up all over the holding. And the majority of this structure was that of Amegakure engineering. The female was inspired, yet of course, she cherishes the period of old.


This was the Kamyuja’s first visit, and if everything goes well, hopefully not her last. Anbu agents dwell here with the convicted, and she wishes to join their ranks one day. But for now, she just needs to find one if not the warden himself. Laena stepped across the threshold. Alarm triggered her heart so that it thudded wildly. A thick stench of death permeated the deserted building. It was a cloud, gray and somber and edged with malice. Darkness also greeted her with such depth that she was not certain about whether or not she had her eyes opened. She stilled, her left hand resting on the hilt of her silver coloured katana. The scabbard rested against her left thigh, a thigh covered in leather as the jeans she appears to wear.


The woman appears dressed as accordingly: a crimson corset laced over her chest however designed differently so that her abdominal region is fishnet covered instead of the usual corset full brief. Covering her legs as stated are leather jeans, skin-tight, held up with a designed belt which holds her sword, a silver katana. She has throwing daggers attached to her thighs and gauntlets which cover both of her hands and arms. The steel design was taken after the Protean bloodline she once witnessed in her long past. And to sum up her appearance, she wears over the knee boots with steel design plates attached to the material. Usually the daggers would be in her pack with all the other gadgets, however, she chose to only bring her katana as her main source of melee weapon. She just hopes she didn’t make that an actual mistake. Laena, however, is confident in herself, but anything can change, that's what makes planning without information difficult.


Her sight finally adjusted to the gloom and through a quick yet thorough assessment [Observation], she sought out anyone to give her the direction she needs. However, only silence greeted her. Did anyone even notice her approach or arrival? Though some deep insight, possible age or some Women's intuition, she knew she was spotted and so with a strong clear voice she spoke: “Hello. I am here through mission.” And with this, she would haul out her acknowledged mission slip and hang tight for course.

To prepare shinobi for what they will eventually face out in the field, they are asked to execute a prisoner on death row personally. Though back in the day, one would be recorded doing so, to see if they lacked the empathy, now that is no longer needed. You will simply be asked to execute the prisoner.

Waking up

he first sensation that hit him was not very surprisingly the pounding ache of his head. As he normally did get little to no sleep and had woken up like that on several occassions, he was familiar with it. The wake up was however still unpleasant and what just made matter worse was the tempting smell of his own burned flesh. It took him a few moment until he hqd fully awoken, but as he was able to see around himself, he first of all saw the ANBU draining his chakra, but also how barren the cell was.

Traitor

Emi hissed through his teeth, trying to see if he were able to budge the guards psyche. He wasnt awake enough for any advanced moves, but since had a plan worked up since before, he needed to try the parameters immediately.

Though some deep insight, possible age or some Women's intuition, she knew she was spotted and so with a strong clear voice she spoke: “Hello. I am here through mission.”

They descended upon her like predators of the sky, swooping down like an eagle looking to catch its' next meal. They were shrouded in darkness .. tight-fitted, ebony robes adorned their figures. If she was as observant as she claimed, she would be able to tell the multitude (2) of blades that were strapped to their hips in a way similar to hers. Undoubtedly, instruments used in murders and assassinations, the true characteristic that stood out amongst these two ninja were the bone-white masks covering their faces.

These were the Anbu, but more importantly, these were the Anbu units assigned under Mae Sako and acted on her orders.

"We know why you are here...", spoke one of them. From the voice, it would be easy to determine him to be male, and the senior officer of the two.

"Please, follow us.. ", the other spoke. This one was female, easy to tell by how gentle and quiet she spoke.

They would lead the self proclaimed Queen through the architecture of the asylum, making their way to and through the basement which would lead them to the actual entrance of the prison. A literal Hole in the wall would see them through the grand prison of the Hidden Rain. Under order of their Captain, the two Anbu frogs bypassed introducing the kunoichi to the warden, instead they would lead her to level B3.

The journey was rather quiet on these higher levels as the less dangerous criminals were stationed her. The trio would come to stop at room labeled with the numbers 47 .. And the Anbu duo would go on to explain the prisoner chosen to be eliminated.

The to be executed was an elderly man, upward in the high sixties, with a beard as white as the snow of Yuki covering most of his face. His eyes resembled that of priceless blue gems, and though hidden by most of his facial hair, he possessed full thin lips. Height wise he was almost 6 feet and he was a little on the chubby sight weighing in at a whopping 387 pounds. He'd been imprisoned here for many years, even before the bloodied conflict between Amegakure and Yukigakure. He had proven to be very loyal to his home, as constant attempts at torture has revealed nothing of use.

It was time to rid him of this world. The ANBU watched with increased interest.. All that lay before her and him was the barred Steel door. All she needed do was push it open.. It would close on its' own behind her.

Rage simmered as she maneuvered through the building. They took their bloody time, appearing like ghouls, arm with swords and dressed to intimidate even the darkness, imposing and one of each sex. She was impressed, but also pissed. They noticed her the moment she walked in. Not like she was trying to hide. But damn it all to hell, they took their bloody time getting to her and that was what really annoyed her.

She did another quick inventory of her body while she followed the two. She could move fast if needed. She never minded a good fight and most likely, any minute, she’d be welcoming one. But another thing bothered her, why wasn’t the warden here leading her. It seemed fishy, and she was one who liked things in perfect order. Not a good start.

So a hole in the wall was the actual entrance to the prison and not the building itself. Why do people make things complicated? Instead, she was left following two Anbu down to into the pits of hell, silent also that she wondered if this was a trap for herself rather than someone else. She was about to draw her sword when they stopped on the third level and before a room labelled with numbers forty-seven. In unison, they turned toward her and spoke for the second time.

The explanation was straightforward and before she knew it, they showed her the barred steel door. Her rage continued to build. But what they had told her, she needed to stop thinking of this prisoner as a simple prisoner. He was a threat. And normal tactics wouldn't work. At first, she was simply going to go in there and kill him, be done with it. But now things were different. She'd have to outsmart him and keep him off guard.

A plan formed and she took a few calming breaths. Anger was the last thing she needed to use against someone with his probable background.
“You two wait outside.”
And with that, she walked up to the steel doors, looked at the old man staring back at her through the barred rods before opening the door and allowing it to close behind her with a final clank.

“People often shit themselves when they die.
Their muscles slack and their souls flutter free and everything else just ... slips out. For all their audience's love of death, the witnesses seldom mention it. When our hero breathes his last in his heroine's arms, they call no attention to the stain leaking across his tights, or how the stink makes her eyes water as she leans in for her farewell kiss,” She pauses, staring intently into his eyes. “I mention this by way of warning, if the unpleasant realities of bloodshed turn your insides to water, be advised now to give me what I wish to know otherwise the last thing you will see is your insides on the outside, your blood on the walls. Your angels won't be claiming your soul for a while, I'm a very patient woman my friend, and I will make sure that your dreams for a swift end will last to you a lifetime of pain and suffering. You think the Anbu of any nation are good at torture, you haven't met me to know what torture really is. You will find out what I do to happy ever afters what a blade does to skin. Now … what say you? Will you spill your guts or … will I spill them for you?”

Dead silence.

Not even the mice made a sound.

And then …

A soft rumble echoed from within the small cell. At first, the sound was mistaken as part of the building, but it grew louder until all that was heard was a throaty, huffing like roar. The prisoner was laughing laughing! He deemed the Kamyuja no threat, instead, he found her amusing, funny even. Rage boiled up within Laena as she stared down at the old fool. He threw his head back and roared his laughter as if he were a lion. The Anbu behind her, peering in from outside let out a slight snicker themselves which only poured the gasoline over her building rage. To think this big bastard, tall as a stink insect with meat on him, chained to the cold hard floor by his wrists and neck laughing at her as if he knew something she didn’t. Laena gave the cell door a quick glance over her right shoulder, her eyes flickered a bright lavender colour for the briefest of seconds. No one was going to laugh at her without repercussions.

Wasting no time she reached out, her hand a blur of motion, slapping the man hard enough to send him flying from his roasted position sharply toward the right, his head snapping back like a jackhammer. An audible cracking sound reverberated through the cell as blood splattered across the concrete floor. The chain tying the man to the floor had wrenched him back so viciously that Laena was certain that his collar bone was what had snapped against the whiplash. The prisoner gave out a startled, pain filled cry and collapsed in a heap on the floor. Basking in her building fury, the Kamyuja stalked around the side of the prisoner and bent down beside him. No one was laughing now, were they.

With a brief look toward the door, the two guards continued to peer into the room but their rigid appearances told her that she had their attention. It was a pity she could not see their true expressions beneath the masks, but her imagination was running wild. Perhaps as wild as the so-called lion within the room. Laena grabbed the choker encasing the man’s neck and jerked it back roughly, forcing the prisoner to look up at her with wide eyes. “Did that hurt? Oh, I am terribly sorry. Here, let me help you up.” She said gently, wrenching her arm upward with such force that the man was dangling slightly due to his knees being bent and the chains around his wrists pulling taut. That told her that the man had had not stood his full six feet for quite some time.

With being a slip of a woman, Laena was considerably strong and misleading. She knew the Anbu behind that door were thinking about her display. This made her smile inwardly. At the sound of strained gasping sounds, the Kamyuja locked gazes with the prisoner, having momentarily forgotten about him while locked in her thoughts and dropped him to the floor. He collapsed in relief and began panting. Leaning over his shoulder, Laena spoke the words softly: “Any last words? Or are you going to tell me what I want to know?” It was a challenge, a subtle warning. But was he going to answer her?

Silence. That was the sound within the room, that and the very faint whisper of a shuddering body. It would appear his body had might reached its limit, that it was frozen in place due to pain, fear and maybe even old age. He didn’t make a sound, not even when she asked softly, politely. However, silence screams a thousand words and his words won't be pretty. She slowly stood from her rested knee and gripped his beard with her left hand.. It was saturated with sweat and smeared with his blood.

“Now I know what you are thinking but let me tell you, old chap, cock is just another word for 'fool.' But you call someone a cunt, well..." The girl smiled. "You're implying a sense of malice there. An intent. Malevolent and self-aware. Don't think I name the leader of your pathetic village a cunt to gift him insult. Cunts have brains, chap. Cunts have teeth. Someone calls you a cunt, you take it as a compliment. As a sign that folks believe you're not to be lightly fucked with.”

The silence was replaced with the sound of steel grating against the metal of her silver scabbard. With her right hand, she pulled forth her katana, causing that sound, making him sweat all the more knowing his death was coming. “Now normally when I talk, people spill their most darkest secrets. Anybody wishes not to die in the end, they lie, cheat, yet you seem too willing to die, to take it like a man. I am disappointed, old friend. I expected more of a fight from you.”

With that, she pulled his beard with her left hand to reveal his neck, and pressed the blade against his Adam's apple, resting above the choker. Their eyes collided, his wide with fear, the whites overlapping the actual colour of his eyes. She smiled with glee at the tears she caused. “Be grateful, the cleaners will have a whole body to shove into a bag. But I will be claiming your head.”

Snikt.

A neat line formed and flesh parted like the sea. Blood poured next, not enough to satisfy her thirst for she promised it on the walls, but this will do. In the end after all, what's dead is dead. And she made a point with the anbu. With a little bit of pressure and the blade pressed through. The head rolled to the ground. The headless body slumped over. Laena took a step back, and in one practised motion, resheathed the sword. By then the cell doors had opened and the two anbu had entered.

“Well. That felt good.”
She smiled at the male and turned to the female.
“I know. Right now you’re feeling strangely but vividly alive. Bag the head, would you?”
And with that turned and left the room. Ten thousand to kill people. Not bad a deal...

The ANBU units assigned to overwatch the century old Chunin had been taken back by her display. Sure, they had seen much chaos and death in their ninja career, but never had they watched one kill so easily, let alone find so much joy in the art of taking a life. The elder Yukigakure native's body slid to the ground, quiet as velcro, as the head detached from body and rolled toward the two operatives. As she made her exit, they got to work cleaning up the mess Celaena had ungratefully left.

This was Amegakure.. enemies from the past remember it as the Crimson Rain because of all the bloodshed.

Regardless, Mae Sako would be pleased once she received word of the Chunin's exploits from her operatives.

The constant chakra drain kept the Hoshigaki from properly gathering his strength; he would find himself in a constant cycle of waking up for a second and then falling back asleep again.. If, what he was experiencing truly was sleep; the plan was enacted with the idea of keeping Emi in a state as if he was drugged. Sleep deprivation was a powerful thing, and the torturers of Ame's past had passed down the technique.

In and out, it would be a moment where the jounin would find himself in his normal state of mind. His chakra would be low of course, but he had his mind and his focus. The two ANBU assigned to his cell today had slacked off for a moment— there was no one draining his chakra, the two ANBU were in front of him 2 or 3 meters away, and while in limbo perhaps he would've seen a handseal or two being performed before a hole opened up in the wall directly ahead, which on the other side lay the door to the cell.

It wasn't much, but the shark had a moment of opportunity.

Upon her conscious choice the white haired maiden discretely known as Izanami found herself to the prescribed location where she would care out her work. The form that she obtained, gave simple information that she followed closely. The details being just vague enough to leave the kunoichi wondering what more could she possibly have to know. Upon many of the mysteries that she has yet to solve, her affiliation with this gloomy village remains one of them. The darker beauties of this confusing world always seen to test her thoughts the most, but one can only question something so much, without wanting to seek definitive answers.

As the rain pours steadily, Izanami would curiously examine the run down building before her. The structure looking to barely even hold a soul within its walls let alone house hundreds of misfortunate citizens, and rightfully shunned criminals of the like. Her crimson eyes, foreshadowing the events to come in an ironic manner as its hue was reminiscent of not only the prison's name, but also the blood that will most likely end up shamelessly spilled in favor of quick pay and momentary entertainment. She can only recall so much of her past life, but if there was anything to be sure of Izanami is certain that whatever killed her the first time has now left her terrible numb to the idea death by certain means. Anytime this woman steals the life of another being she can only wonder what it is they will feel afterwards. As she was robbed of that chance to know the afterlife...

Alas person inquiries were not of importance at the moment. The mission at hand was. Izanami, without a second thought would dawn her "second face" in means to not only to obscure her identity, but to help bring out the killer without her. If she was to end someone she would prefer to enjoy the act and gain what ever sense of pleasure she can squeeze out of it. Her all black leather attire, gave a bittersweet visual aesthetically. The only other colors on her person being the white mask, her piercing red eyes shining through the eye holes, and her bleach white hair. The rest of her was covered in a form fitting leather body suit, with open slits on the sides, along with a fur-hooded black jacket to act as an extra layer for the rain. Her waist dawning the Amegakure headband, and her feet protected by firm black steel toe boots. Equipment consisting of a small pack located on her lower back with various ninja tools, a quiver pouch holding numerous arrows, and a recurve bow hung firmly around her left shoulder.

Her movements so far were graceful in a very...nonchalant manner as she ventured into the building. Looking for the nearest personnel to properly show her mission form to so she could proceed and find out who she is supposed to erase.

Izanami would not make it into the prison on her own like she thought, as she was being watched, with eyes of a hawk, from the moment she entered the vicinity.

Undoubtedly, instruments used in murders and assassinations, the true characteristic that stood out amongst these two ninja were the bone-white masks covering their faces.

They said nothing, instead, the one slightly taller by a few inches would hold his hand out for the mission paper. Once the stamp of approval was noted, the two ANBU would shift upon their heels and lead the kunoichi toward her destination, through the abandoned building and down to the basement, where the true entrance to the prison lay. The journey would come to an end on level B2 of the prison, in front of a cell labeled with the number 11.

Her target was a boy, young and no more than 16 or 17. He was barely dressed save for the prisoner pants the guards had given him. His hair was black, and the color of his eyes matched. Small, skinny, almost and thin and slender as Izanami herself, the malnourishment of life in a cell had taken its' toll on the once healthy child. Why was a child being stances to death one may wonder, yet as she would enter the cell, the genin would hear muffled whispers...

What was he saying? It sounded deranged, yet there was one word you could hear clearly, or rather it was a name.

he scenario was far less exciting than Emi had believe to experienced as the prisoner of his enemies. It was almost as if he wasn't as important or big of a threat as he had assumed that he actually was. But that didn't really mean much more than that it was just a waste of time to remain in the cell, waiting to learn information from the council. So he in between the times that he fell asleep from the drain Emi made sure to figure out the different amount stolen from each one of the guards. Neither one seemed as accustomed to the technique as he was, but it did the job as well as expected.

When they did however neglect their task and allowed him to regain some of his strength, Emi knew that there were no point in not exploiting it. So he tried to estimate the time to get an idea of where the patrols were, before he bit down on his inner cheek and clenched his powerful fangs into his own flesh. The result was far stronger than the flesh could handle, resulting in him feeling how a chunk actually was bitten off. It was however not the effect that he was going for, but as the taste of blood hit him, Emi felt the powerful surge of chakra rush through his body. If the guards had been doing their task they would have surely noticed it, but as the seemed distracted Emi had been able to relax slightly from it before he channeled it.

The idea to escape was far easier for him as a master of the element he was fully surrounded by. So while being completely quiet Emi activated one of his favorite stealth jutsus without the need for handseals and merged with the stonewall he was pressed against. While in there, he was able to fully control his movements in the building which would allow an easy escape. But since he still wanted to gain more information from his distracted enemy, he traveled a few levels up into a storage room and began to break free from the restrains while inflicting pain upon himself to recover more of his own chakra. The area was silent and the knowledge that even those he had believed to be allies had betrayed him made him feeling lonelier than ever. Who could he actually trust? The only ones he felt safe to call friends were Zuruel and lady, but at that moment he even doubted that friendship.

The unsettling sense of the building might have ran through her system, but a sense to at least thoroughly observe her surroundings weren't even an after thought. Careless? Of course, but that sort of thing can happen when Izanami finds herself concerned on very few thing besides her well being.

However she wouldn't patronize the situation. Although she wouldn't care how these two figures, perceive her she would at least cooperate. What moved this ordeal along faster. Their masks, peaked her curiosity. Mostly because she reflected the accessories upon herself. Her mask is like another face to her. But these...ANBU operatives. She wonders how they feel when they wear their masks... She wonders...how it feels to live two lives at the same time, where one treads on a darker path than the shadows themselves... Or to start off within those shadows...only to terrorize the daylight...

Of course, business is business and as of now she doesn't need to think about such things. Once the two operatives began to lead her into the actual prison itself rather than a facade, her body began to warm up from the inevitable chill of the atmosphere. Her mind wasn't concerned about the others trapped behind these cells. Her thoughts were running through the options for who she might be tasked to erase. The echoing steps between the ANBU's naturally quieter feet and Izanami's boots were meshed with the ambiance of every other noise throughout each floor. It seemed the further they go...the quieter it gets. Or perhaps the beasts and monsters just aren't awake or interested.

Nevertheless Izanami would find her trip to be of moderate length, so her target must not be all that important. At least she assumes the worst ones are deeper in the facility. But...in this situation any of these damned souls that are placed on the kill list must have been disliked enough to warrant a demise. And so upon seeing such a youthful candidate before her. She couldn't help but wonder what kind of crimes he had committed to be placed on death row. Such wasted youth...a pity. Although as her eyes continued to watch him she would easily notice the whispers despite their low volume. The eerieness sure did it's part.

It's the fact that this boy before her was young that hinted that he shouldn't be underestimated. No target should be taken lightly until the last move is made. In this line of work its either the job gets done or doesn't. And so...her face behind the mask wouldn't have changed. No sympathy or empathy. Only...curiousity. She cared not to make a show out of this.

By this time Izanami was standing within the cell with this teenage male. His features looking somewhat wither due to the time he has spent in poor condition no doubt. Her crimson eyes illuminated softly within the din lit cell. Her distance between the boy and her would be well out of arms reach.  She only needed to be close enough to see him properly. By then she would catch the name he very faintly uttered. Jashin...

[Izanami-no-Mikoto]

Hearing that tingled her ears in a weird way. And upon hearing it her curiosity stirred...

Her mind couldn't help, but want to run through as much knowledge as it could search through in a short amount of time. Her head slightly tilting towards the right in an subconscious manner. With her interest in what this boy is running this high, she figured a short banter would suffice before she pulls the plug. With a clear and audible voice Izanami would speak directly towards this boy in an attempt to draw his attention away from mindlessly whispering. And of course loud enough for the ANBU outside to be able to tune in if they would like to. But...for the most part she was only going to ask this for herself. "So...that name you speak...Jashin. Who or what is it? Seems to be an odd set of words to be whispering in a cell..." She would question casually.

While this was happening, Izanami would ready her weapon of choice for this target. Preparing as she speaks in a relaxed manner. Her recurve bow, going from a holstered position to a firm grip within her left hand in front of her. The other hand of course taking the natural action to retrieve an arrow from the quiver fastened properly on her back. Placing the arrow in a ready position with the back end gently held between her middle and index fingers. By then she had already asked her question which meant that it would be up to this deranged boy to answer. Her bow and arrow already set up for use. No matter how curious Izanami didn't want to spend much time on this. And in all honesty she doesn't expect much out of a mentally twisted subject such as this.

Her body in a routine manner would prepare itself with each motion. Her eyes firmly locked on the target in front of her. Her feet naturally placed in a secure stance for marksmanship. Her arms then slowly but surely raised the bow upwards until it could hold a soft aim on the boy. Giving him time to respond in whatever way he wished to as long as it didn't show signs of hostility. Otherwise Izanami wouldn't be afraid to make a quick shot. But...in this state of mind she was calm. Far less...ubstable and violence prone as some of her other times...The masked white haired maiden was fully in tune with this situation. And in moment she was going to take her opportunity to finish her assigned job with or without her question being answered.

Description: One of the four stances a user may learn as they are able to learn just one if they wish. Hard to maintain, so mainly used by expert Marksman. Some elite Marksman use the oblique stance. In this stance the Marksman places his/her toe of the left foot nearest the target on a line and pivoting the left foot forty-five-degrees to the target. The heel of the right foot is then placed in line with the toe of the left foot. This allows the bow arm to remain in a position where there will be optimum clearance of the bowstring when the arrow is released. The target should be seen clearly while using the oblique stance.
Limit: Must be a Marksman.

Of course...as suspected things would go in a turn for the unamusing. This boy, showed signa of possibly being snapped out of his trance. But it simply was no use. Perhaps she was doing him a favor by taking his life. Either way it was going to be to her and everyone's benefit to not waste a minute further. Her oblique stance was already see. All she needed to do was send it.

"Hm...on second thought. I have little interest in such things." She would say out loud instead on keeping it to herself. Her voice was cold and bittersweet. An alluring sound that was given a dark after taste by its uncaring nature. Her patience was running low in terms of keeping this boy alive. Letting him mess around with his head was more dangerous than it was intriguing. And so...within the see Her whispers and haunting silence. The sound of stretching fibers of string would slip it's way into the atmosphere. Izanami's right arm now poised for a very firm shot despite the point blank range. Her left eye now closed which left only one crimson orb to shine within her white mask.

Within the fading seconds. The boy would have finally paid attention a bit more. Granting Izanami a better look at his face. He was definitely young, and most likely lost to the world around him. Although he seemed pleased to be watching his killer now. To at her directly. The smile on his face showed it. Just before the shot Izanami could be given a brief word from him. Out of place, but most likely holding a lot of hidden meaning. One word in particular which doesn't exactly answer anything...

Yes.

A send off as odd as any other she supposed. And with that she need not to waste anymore time. The fingers on her right hand, would release their firm hold on the arrow allowing the string to push forward with power. The pure force of motion now sending the arrow on a collision course towards the boy's head. The collection of sounds to come mainly overlapped each other, but the only one that would be important is the distinct sound of Izanami's arrow quickly piercing through the boy's skull and completely impaling his brain.

The speed and force not only enough to pull his head back hard enough to also break his neck, but enough to place him harshly against the wall. The arrow firmly indenting itself into its surface. And with that would be zero response. The scene itself although sounding terrible would be relatively tame. Not much of a mess to clean as long as they don't let the head would bleed out too much. Though just to make sure... Izanami would holster her bow as she walks closer to the presumably dead young man. Her right hand firmly gripping the arrow by its base before roughly yanking it out of the wall and the boy's head.

Her expression behind the mask being far more emotionless than the actual mask now. With that she would leave the boy's corpse and exit the cell. Stopping only a few feet once she did in order to inspect her arrow while she cleans it with a rag retrieved from the small pack holstered on her lower back.

"My apologies if that took too long. I figured he'd be the talkative type...oh well. At least it's finished..." She would state indifferently. She didn't expect any kind of response from the operatives. As long as they didn't bother her for anything Izanami from then on considered the job done. And so with a casual pace she'd take her warranted leave...

Despite the two guards assigned to watch over the jonin had slacked off for a bit, it would seem as if everything was going according to plan. The Hoshigaki, no doubt in his haste to be free, and coupled with the fact that the current circumstances he found himself perhaps prevented him from thinking clearly, had misjudged the surroundings. The wall he was shackled to and pressed up against was undoubtedly metal, and he would find himself unable to phase into it and slip away as he had hoped. The only sources of stone within the room was the earthen wall that blocked his path to the door of the cell. Perhaps in the split second he noticed his attempt at merging with the wall had failed, he would be able to come up with another idea.

If he could, he'd have to act fast; the two guards would had finished doing whatever it was they were doing, and headed back toward him. The two hadnt expected the jonin to be awake so soon, and rushed to get him back under the vacuum that would steal his chakra. At all costs, they couldn't let him escape.

The two ANBU that oversaw the execution responded to the genin with a cold stare from the curtain of their masks; they were as indifferent to her as she was to them, but they respected her for her willingness to kill. She hadn't hesitated, and it had impressed them-- perhaps one day she would be apart of their ranks -- that is, if she truly had what it took.

misjudged surroundings

he Hoshigakis body got quite confused as it met with the solid obstacle which it hadnt anticipated. His memories had crippled his observation as he had felt utterly convinced that the cells still were covered in the marble like stone he was accustomed to. He cursed at his dozed off state as he knew it was the reason he didnt even confirm the surroundings in the first hand. So to make sure not to do the same mistake twice, Emi forced himswlf to take a brief check on the cell. Then he had to spring into action as the guards had seen his attempt, but with the new information he was able to make a new plan, a basix one qt that, but hopefully a functioning one. At first he would need to keep his distance to the guards, whixh he tried to do with the small amount of chakra he had left, by shooting out a beam of water from his moth. Since his entire body was locked, the only thing he could move with some agility was his head, which was all he needed for the technique. His target was both the guards, but also to make sure not to destroy the earthen wall, simce he attempted to fill the cell with his water. If it would cover most of the cells volume and been able to the guards Emi began to make the chakra in his fat have hos body rapidly grow while he tensed up hos entire body. All in an attempt to break the bonds.

It was time.

Itada found himself outside of the Crimson Prison, on the top of a building about fifty meters away from the run down mental asylum that hid many truths behind its' walls. He was looking toward the prison, facing south, at the exact coordinates he had given to the two shinobi hours prior. He had all his usual equipment: swords, kunai, shuriken, explosive tags, and for comfort he brough along his rebreather. Weapons were not the only tools the three Ame ninja would have at their disposal, as the Uchiha had brought with him the blueprints and schematics of the prison - 3 copies to be exact.

He had spent the last hour or so going over the plan — routes, guard positions, even the location of Emi's cell and how to reach it was within his data. All that remained now was rendezvousing with Celaena and Himaya, who would no doubt arrive soon. He prepared himself, storing a moderate amount of chakra(Healing Hands: Moderate) into the Byakugō no In seal.

The guards rushed back toward the jonin, but they hadn't expected that the Hoshigake would have had access to his chakra, let alone be able to use techniques. The surprise of the stream of water shooting from his mouth would work, albeit only halfway. The one on the right would have been fast enough to dodge most of the stream by dashing to his left. The other, who was positioned on the left, had been fully caught in the spout of water that shot from the shark's mouth. His body would fly backward violently, and would slam into the earthen wall that blocked off the jonin's cell. He would feel the pain in his back as he collided with the wall, but it would take more than that to take him out. For now though, he was at the mercy of the water as it forced him backward.

The one on the right, who managed to dodge the brunt of the water, had enclosed the distance and was not only a few feet away from Emi. Chakra focused into his palm, the ANBU outstretched his hand - enchanted with the vacuum that was the chakra draining ninjutsu, he attempted to get a grip back on the Hoshigaki.

Unfortunately, when his hand touched the jonin, he'd realize the man's arm was bigger than usual and was still growing. In moments, the restraints would begin to crack.
