Dante Runeska stood inside the kenjutsu dojo fo the Sand village. It was time for another of his lessons. There were many other students there as well, a good deal of them weren't even ninja. As a result, Dante refused to use any form of ninjutsu while withing those walls. After a few monthss of actual reflex trailning, the master of the dojo finally considered it tim to start teaching the techniques to her students
There wasn't any exchange of words. She simply stood in front of the class and did Mae-zuki for the whole dojo to see. It was a relatively easy move from the looks off it. However, many of the students were having a hard tiime with it.
Dante quickly rose up from the mat he was sitting on and prepared himself for the move. While staning, Dante slowly drew his sword out o his sheath, angled it forward to thrust, then returned it to the sheath. His trying to condition his arm to the way he would have to yank and pull on the blade. It took about five minutes of this before he considered himself ready for the move.
Now, Dante was infront of the practice dummy that had been set up for him. In a quit motion, he yanked the blade from the sheath and drove it into the wooden dummy. The blade simply bounced of the wood for it was too slow. Taking this into consideration, Dante resheath his sword to try again. Five minutes passed him by as he practice the simple blade thrust. He kept it slow at first to assure that he would aim it at the target properly. Once he had his sight set straight, he began to speed up and stuck once, twice, thrice. Each time, the blade stuck the spot, but never plunged in. However, he was aiming right.
He took a break for a moment and looked around. Kiho Fuji, the master of the Dojo, was eying everyone inside the dojo. At her glance, Dante returned to his training. She was very beautiful for her age, or so he assumed. He didin't believe someont could master anything at an age so young, but it was rude to ask her age. It also appeared that at any given time, she could watch how a student moved a blade and read their mind based solely on that.
Dante had trained on just this move for another half an hour. The other students were taken a long break. Dante continuously thrusted at the wooden figure. He didn't have to break. The chunin exams would be here any moment now. His dummy was beggining to get holes in it now from his constant thrusting. He was getting the move now. The movement was becoming more easier and he was moving far faster.
The other students had resumed to training by now, and Dante was still at it. His attack was begging to look like a flash now. It was fast enough now that every time he did the move, all that was heard was the initial scrapping sound of the sword being drawn from the sheath, the thunking sound from striking the wood, then the click of the sword hitting the sheath. After this, Dante's hand was beginning to shake, and the veins on his thin arms were standing.
He did one more quick strike successfully then prepared for another. Just as he was begging to pull the blade out the sheath again, Kiho Fuji grabbed his wrist to prevent him from pulling out the blade. When insisted on attemping to drawn his sword, she nimply flipped him onto his back in front of all the students. "Dante, it is time rest. If you draw your sword in between these thirty minutes, I'll discontinue your training in this dojo."
