Silence....
His return was quite swift, any second could jeopardize his mission and that would not be allowed. He entered the village, silent and ghostly, yet it was still home...from his memory.
Silence....
As he entered the streets, he felt their eyes peering at him, but he did not fear for they would know who he was. He was one of them, ANBU. His hand would go into the air, a signal of who he was and one would appear before him.
"Yondaime Mizukage....forgive us but we seek the password..."
Tatsu smirked, he had the password and had paid key attention to the lady's words. He would not flat out say it, only a fool would for ears could be false ones.
"The flames may scorch my flesh to nothing but a corpse. But like a phoenix, my soul shall be reborn."
He folded his arms as he looked into the eyes of the Jounin. The shinobi would nod to Tatsu before vanishing in the same manor as his appearance. From then on, all eyes would be gone from him, and he would be left alone to do his work in gathering supplies and such.

The logs, they were now in place, each of them tied together with a rope and each with the hidden explosive within the center to remain hidden from all eyes. He carried it over his shoulder as he walked along the streets of the village.
"How did it come to this...."
He wore no shirt under his black button up as his black short hung loosely from his waist, however still able to keep him from constantly lifting them up. At his side the two blades he would never leave for his life remained, the Wakazashi and Katana in their black sheathes. A toothpick twiddled from the corner of his mouth as he remained silent among the streets.
At the corner of his eyes, the local Ramen Shop caught his attention. He knew there would be no cooked Ramen within the store, however he found it quite the place to hang out, and possibly there would some valuable supplies to bring back to the underground base.
Silence....
The door opened fine, life count was zero so he proceeded. The evacuation truly caught everyone off guard for the owner didn't even have the time to clean up and clear up the dough for the noodles. This wasn't quite useful to Tatsu, however behind the counter were a bag of tea leaves. He wasn't one for drinking tea on a regular, but at the moment anything sounded good. ___________
A few minutes later, a warm cup of tea would find itself within his grasp. He drank it quickly however for he had to remain on guard at all times. He walked outside to find the wooden log's still where he left them. He finished the tea up and then placed small tea cup upon the step of the story before swinging the logs over his shoulder.
Screech....
This place was quite interesting when silenced as it was, but one sound caught his ear. He looked into the sky as a flock of birds flew passed his village as one something quite odd occurred. One fell from the sky down towards the floor. It landed nearly ten feet from his position....taboo.

Hinagiku had been searching around old mist, Yondaime didn't seem to be in sight. He was like the silent shadows, lurking in the thick mist. Although what did she expect, his years of experience and unusual silent nature would make it difficult to find him. Then if we added that she was but a genin, versed only in the basics. "Speak of the devil..." Just as she thought to pause her search, out of the corner of her eyes was a man standing around the old ramen shop. He was looking down for some odd reason and with no time to waste, the young Mizukage ran over to him. "I've been looking for you, it must be lonely to be here considering the circumstances."
For everyone that was here where jounin or ANBU ninja working behind the scenes. Most likely they were to gather the remaining belongings and bring them back to the base, discreetly. She looked to him for a moment before stating the real nature of her visit. "Yondaime-sama, will you train me? There's still so much that I need to learn and even jutsu that I already know could use some polishing up."

Muffled....
This is what she sounded like as his focus remained drawn into the fallen bird from the sky. I couldn't help but wonder what sort of sign this was, but then her final statement would catch his attention.
Silence....
He turned to look over to her with emotionless look. He was still in the transition of thinking of the impossible and the reality. He shook that off after a second and then lightly smiled.
"Training...sure-"
Flash backs, memories returning to him as he thought of his two students whom each killed themselves within a day. Would she do the same....would see break? No, for there was nothing to be broken...they killed themselves on their own will.
He took a few steps ahead as his left hand fell to his two blades. He smirked a bit as he looked up into the sky for a second, thinking about what it was he could honestly teach the new Mizukage.
"My Lady....do you understand the power of Illusion's?"
He was skilled in many things, but he took quite an interest in Genjutsu. Had see been skilled enough to be able to comprehend Genjutsu, they might be going somewhere. If she said she didn't, he would surely make her understand.

At first she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, her left in particular as she spoke about looking for him. Did he really comprehend what she said, thankfully her next line seemed effective. Once he confirmed his involvement, she would move her right hand to the tip of her hat. Her index finger covering the kanji for water slightly, her gaze concentrated on this man. He seemed distant for a moment before snapping back. An odd situation considering what he brought up next. "Genjutsu...well, I guess it's my best subject technically." She said this for good reason. Hinagiku was quite intelligent, written tests, ninja theory, history, she comprehended all of it and quite well. Hina's problem came down to performance. Simply put, Hinagiku didn't show an aptitude for ninjutsu, genjutsu, or taijutsu.
Well actually, that in itself isn't quite accurate. She had a high aptitude for ninjutsu but it seemed to only be universal genjutsu. Her nickname reflected on this quite well, Mistress of Basics. Booksmarts, pretty good chakra control and aptitude for universal ninjutsu. However when her academy teachers attempted to take her to the next level, nature manipulation...
"Why yes, genjutsu is a powerful tool. Branching into different perceptions, one can utilize different forms of genjutsu to deceive their opponents. There's Figment, Glamour, Phantasm, Pattern, and Realism. The last of which only a select few who truly appreciate genjutsu can wield. At the moment, I understand genjutsu of the Figment perception. Simple tricks, such as making an object appear utilizing chakra."
Without even thinking she had blurted out a rather textbook answer to the man's question. Her mind was actually focused on the failure to advance ninjutsu by utilizing nature manipulation. Perhaps it was only natural for her to be more comfortable with genjutsu. She did take the time to understand the art of genjutsu as a whole, understanding the foundation for figments. Something that existed only the imagination of those who perceived it.
"To be honest, I'm really only book smart... and good at the basics. My classmates gave me the silliest nickname because of it." She then tipped her hat, looking down at the dead bird. "Mistress of the Basics..."

He chuckled a bit to himself as he heard her ramble on about all the knowledge she had when it came to the subject. It seemed things would easier then he thought, and so he turned to face her. The smirked faded however as his eyes began to squint a bit.
Silence....
He looked into her eyes though one could assume she had something in her teeth. He saw something quite peculiar in her eyes, they were almost......off. He shook it off however because he didn't wish to scare her away.
"Hmm....well you seem to know a lot. I have studied the same perception, I've mastered. When one battles another, it is wise to understand the opponent first before using these sorts of techniques."
He turned away for a second to take the four logs he carried upon his shoulder and place them on the ground so that he would have his hands free. He then turned back to her.
"For instance, when one deals with the Uchiha Clan.....or the Hyuuga Clan."
His eyebrow would raise to that comment, surely he wouldn't know for he was already lacking in the full details of the situation around him? No, he was fully aware of what was going around him, and he could see it clearly.
"When dealing with either from these clans, you must know not to waste your energy on such techniques for they will automatically be overlooked....do you understand?"

So Yondaime-sama mastered the figment perception. He really seemed dedicated to that style of genjutsu. He no sooner gave her a little lesson concerning the usage of figments. Yet as he did, he looked into her eyes. She wasn't sure why he was doing so, the only thing that would return his gaze were that of the blue contacts she wore. Yet she almost felt like turning away. She had a little secret, one that wasn't even fully understood by herself. Could you imagine what happened when he stated his next comment?
"Uchiha and...H-hyuuga...?"
Naturally, she turned her gaze at that moment. Now looking down to the ground on her right side. Her hat tipped down to shade her face with it's white silk. Normally used to add additional shade for protection against the sun. Now it was just to block off direct eye contact. Deep down, she was scared. "H-he wouldn't know such a secret, that's just silly. Daddy told me he tried his best to hide it away for my safety. I should just be calm, cool, confident."
"I see."
A weak attempt, though she was trying to not freak out at the moment. As such, she then looked up to him once more. She established eye contact then, a small smirk forming by her lips. "I guess that puts us at a bit of a disadvantage." Was it even possible to get this little secret by Yondaime or did he just already figure the girl out?

"It does, however the Uchiha can only detect such illusions when their Sharingan is active, so its not always a failure."
He thought for a second of what sort of technique might be useful for the her. He knew plenty, and some that just weren't at her level at the moment, but he soon figured out which would be first.
"I believe I know the first technique I will teach you. Its called Keeping A Distance Technique, a useful technique when approached by a Taijutsu user. There are a few handseals, but it's all worth it in the end when the opponent realizes he will never approach you. That will be the first one I wish to teach you."
He scratched his forehead and thought about the technique and the requirements for it. He knew in order for her to be able to create the illusion, she would have to draw her chakra into the opponent's mind to disturb the perception of sight.
"Ok, I will tell the handseals, and as you create them, you need to focus pushing your chakra out towards my mind and the rest will work on its own. I'm going to repeat them slowly: Rat...Dragon...Monkey...Horse...Rabbit...Dog."
As he said them, he made the handseals simultaneously without the intent of effecting her mind. He wanted her to be able to successfully create the illusion in his mind, and then he would know she got it. After repeating them to her, he would step back and close his eyes.
"Ok....now create the jutsu and focus on pushing it out towards me." ___________
Keien no Jutsu (Keeping A Distance Technique) Rank: “C” Rank Skill: Genjutsu Effect: Causes the world to seemingly stretch out before the opponent’s eyes, creating a large distance that never seems to close between the user and the opponent. Special: “Hand Seals”- Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Horse, Rabbit, Dog Drawback: The user must remain in sight of the opponent and vice versa. Description: The user distorts the opponent’s vision, creating a seemingly large distance between the opponent and him/herself. If either the user or the opponent loses sight of the other, this effect is canceled. Limit: Must know Figment Perception

Totally safe, what a relief." Yondaime didn't seem to know the girl's secret. All was safe and now was the time to learn some jutsu. She perked up quite a bit when he mentioned the technique being useful against a Taijutsu user, she just so happened to know one in particular. First there was the seals that needed to be conjured for the technique. As he called them out slowly, she focused her mind on the intended action. "Rat." She called out in acknowledgement as she performed the seal. "Then Dragon." Creating the dragon seal flawlessly. She was a bit slow on the next one, due to the complicated positioning but eventually she'd form the moneky seal. "...Monkey." then she continued on at his speed, "Horse..." Her hands moving to the slow pattern."Then Rabbit." An easy seal for her, she easily performed it. "....And Dog, finally."
Now was the moment of truth, concentrating on her current teacher's mind. She could feel chakra welling up in her right palm as she extended it outward. She was aligning her palm towards his head, then she fired the blast of chakra. She was hoping it would effect his mind but the weak performance of the monkey seal, would probably cost her with this jutsu. "Um, I think I made an error in that technique, I'll try again." She paused for a moment, pulling out the seal order from her mind. The memory was slowly becoming engraved, just as it would for any other jutsu in her repertoire.
Once the seals were performed, she would try it again. The problem with this attempt was that her focus was soley on performance and accurately performing the seal requirements. In the end, she wasn't able to project any chakra to his mind. This caused her to blink and go back to the drawing board. "The figment in this genjutsu is the distance that is being created in the opponent's mind." She thought to herself, a good recap of the basics sometimes allowed one to clear their head and learn. In order to properly perform this technique she'd need to run through some drills.
The first drill involved channeling chakra to her palm. She repeated the cycled process quite a few times, this time incorporating the vision of the figment in question. As she imagined the distance away from Tatsu, the mental image began to become clear. For some reason that odd bird came into the picture, serving as a middle point. Once the basics were affirmed into her head, she was ready for her first successful attempt with the jutsu. Gathering chakra into her palms, she focused on the scenario at hand. She imagined Tatsu trying to attack her by gaining distance to use close range moves.
This powerful visiual image definitely inspired her to want to keep as much distance as possible. The hand seals were performed again, this time the first two screw ups. She held out her palm and launched the chakra directly at Tatsu's head, towards his mind. With the jutsu completed, she had to ask if the effects at worked on him. "D-did it work, Yondaime-sama?"

Silence....
It was quiet as she struggled to comprehend the technique. It was understandable, it seemed she was quite new to actually creating such a technique. He opened his eyes and watched her repeat the process over and over again hoping for the best.
He cleared his mind of the thought that this was indeed a training session, for had he continued under that mindset, he might overlook the jutsu in whole. He pictured this in another perspective, and odd one but it worked to draw his attention off the fact he was a test dummy for her jutsu.
Silence....
She asked him if the jutsu had worked, but the odd thing was he felt nothing take place. He raised an eyebrow to this and crossed his arms. He knew she was trying, and so he wouldn't go off like some teacher's would, plus Tatsu wasn't the type.
"Hmmm, I see your trying to force it. You honestly need to let it flow through you. Straining makes the process worse, just focus on a connection between our minds.....try and guess what I'm thinking for instance."
He would stretch really quickly and then scratch his neck as he got into a better position to stand and then looked into the girl's eyes again.
"Now when you get into that mind set, reverse, imagine what I should be thinking, imagine how I should be reacting to your actions...it always helped me in the process."

0/30 Take 2
"Hmm, force it huh? Alright, I'll have to take this slow and steady. Let's go through the steps and break them down bit by bit."
1) "Step 1, envision the purpose of this jutsu. To deceive my opponent into thinking I'm much farther away then I actually am." Nodding to show she understood his advice, she'd soon flip backwards a few times, creating reasonable distance between them. She wanted to change her perspective on the whole training session. This wasn't just a training session, this was a battle with a shinobi of greater skills and experience. She needed to get away, keep distance and do whatever it takes to complete the mission.
2) "Performing the seals correctly, this is a crucial step." Beginning to run in an attempt to circle her training partner, she began to perform the perviously mentioned seals. Normally if this wasn't a training session she wouldn't have the luxory to perform the seals so slowly. Ah but minor details like that can be supressed for now, the most important thing was that the process succeed. "Got it..." She affirmed to herself as she held the last seal. The next step itself, was quite obvious.
3) Exact the technique, or bring it to fruition. "To get a better edge on how my chakra is performing, I'll gain a bit more distance and use that technique as well." Lacing together two jutsu wasn't something beginners usually did but the exception always came to geniuses who possessed a bloodlimit. Launching the technique to what would seem to be the back of the jounin's head, assuming he stood perfectly still, was just the beginning. Now performing the necessary seals, she would soon awaken those special eyes of hers. "At this distance and the angle of viewing I'm at, it's safer to use this from afar. If he doesn't know my secret, there's no sense in letting him get the chance, even if I do need to use it for a bit."
Unfortunately, should her training partner be quite versed with the effects of Byakugan then he'd recognize that all too similar pressure; then it'd be giving away the girl's secret anyway. With the new insight on the situation, the veins around her temple popped up according, which looked odd with the blue contacts. They still serverd their purpose, analyzing the man's chakra system and the chakra she was trying to launch into his system. Continuing her attempt to circle him, she realized a crucial flaw in her last attempt. "He's perfectly fine, that's not right...I don't detect any of my chakra in his system at all."
It was rather disturbing news fir the young kage but for every problem there was a solution. In this case, careful watch of the technique was in call for. Performing the required seals faster now, she began to take everything into focus. Her goal was to distract her opponent into thinking what her perceived was real. If he was completely focused like he was now, then there was a possibility he could ignore the effects all together. From a safe distance like she was now, using the jutsu should be effective without much drawback and so...
Hinagiku could only watch as she extended her palm outward, attempting to send the chakra straight to Tatsu's mind and establish a connection. The first thing she realized was the range on this technique. She watched as the chakra just simply didn't make it to her target. "So, I've been missing this whole time. How embarrassing." See, even kage's weren't successful at everything they did or was it just due to her immense inexperience? "Um... Yondaime-sama, is there any more tips you can give me like...a way to use the range on this jutsu?" When in doubt, ask for a tip from your teacher everyone ^^; _________________________________________________________________________
Byakugan Rank: "C" "B" "A" Skill: NinJutsu Effect: Allows the user Special: --- Drawback: Byakugan user has a 360 degree field of vision, with the exception of a small blind spot behind the user's first thoracic vertebrae (as stated in the manga). This is demonstrated in an anime filler arc by Ranmaru, who created false chakra circulatory systems through the use of a d¨ jutsu (possibly a bloodline limit), causing the Byakugan to see inanimate objects as people and the objects themselves at the same time.
However, it is not considered canon in a filler episode that a Byakugan user is unable to see the workings of such an "illusion". Description: Can see the minuscule chakra pressure points. With the use of certain hand seals, it also has telescopic, X-ray, and thermal vision. The Byakugan is the key to Konohagakure's strongest Taijutsu, the J¨±ken, as it allows the user to see the chakra circulatory system of an opponent. Each level of its insight can therefore be mystified by proper means. When first learned they are capable of seeing up to fifty yards in a 360 Degree radius except for that blind spot. Each time learned this amount of distance is increased by ten yards. When the user reaches up to a distance of One hundred yards the amount of training is increased to that of "B" Rank Level Training. The amount of distance is still increased by ten. When the user reaches up to a distance of Four Hundred Yards the user is capable of seeing even further but with an amount of A Rank Training. Limit: Must be part of the Hyuuga Bloodlimit.

Silence....
She began to try different things, and since he wasn't in her head, he was unsure as to whether or not she took his advice. She had leaped back a distance from him making more space between them, however nothing still.
She would begin the handseals and so Tatsu would wait for some sort of distraction. Nothing but pure silence she looked at him, a look strain it would seem, she sure seemed to over work herself about this. She finally asked him a question regarded the use of chakra.
"Think of it this way....when you climb up the side of a tree, the feeling you get when you push your chakra into your feet as you focus on the connection between you and the tree. That is the connection you need, for I am the tree, my mind is the tree. Don't strain it or you will inevitably fail, but if you let it run smoothly, it work out."
With that, he remained silenced as his hands fell to his sides and his focus was upon her, looking into her eyes at a distance. He hoped she would be successful this time around.

[ooc: because its silent as she thinks in her mind the process and he stands there waiting for a reaction. When I say stuff like "Silence...." its because I am describing the sound in the scene, and sometimes I may even describe an emotion. I've started to write like this because my other character Ishi is a mute whom doesn't speak, so sound is an important thing to bring up....and looking back, I see I have made typos that need fixing....-_-. As well, this is a double post, and I must apologies but I have to leave this thread.]
He waited for her to continue her practice, however though he wished to teach her, he had a mission to accomplish.
"My lady, I must apologize, but I have to continue this training session later with you. You understand the basics of the technique, so just master it."
He walked over to the side steps of the Ramen shop to retrieve his four logs, the ones he had been carrying for quite awhile. He figured it was pointless to hide his explosive tags in them anymore so he slipped his hand in and grabbed them.
"Forgive me....I will try and return to the village as soon as possible. You understand the basics so you shall do fine. Farewell."
With that final statement, the Yondaime had disappeared in a cloud of mist, hopefully to return in time before the new Mizukage had learned the technique.

18/30
At first, she simply paused where she was standing. She couldn't help but blink once, then twice. Processing of the new tip he mentioned was rapidly in progress. Memories, notes, and other information that she could muster was now her focus. Hina was recalling how she learned the basics of tree climbing. It had come so easy to her, for it was rather basic. The connection that she needed to make with her chakra, measuring the exact amount needed for efficiency; to create the needed bond. "Bond, that's a strange word yet it's so important. Not just in jutsu but in life." Looking ahead to Tatsu, he remained silent; seemingly waiting for next set of attempts.
Before she could even form the first handseal, Yondaime now spoke up. There training session would have to be cut short for a moment, which was a bit disappointing. Releasing the Byakugan, her now intense look of focus would disappear and with it a slight pout. Yet as her eyes followed him, it would seem he was preparing for something. She couldn't help but wonder what sort of personal mission he was going to embark on. "What's with the logs?" One blink, then two were to follow and no sooner would Yondaime be off, a trail of mist remaining. Hopefully he would return in time to witness her perfect the technique.
"Alright so at least I was just reassured that I have the basics down. The next goal is to actually make this jutsu work. Though now I don't have a target." She couldn't help but laugh out loud for a bit. Realizing that Yondaime had actually volunteered himself like a living training dummy. Just the same, she turned to look to the ramen shop once more. The village really did feel like a ghost town. The added mist which decreased the visibility in different parts of the village didn't help much either. So when an unusual sound was heard from behind the stand, the Shichidaime got curious. Making her way over cautiously, she soon spotted a raccoon. "Of all things..." She thought to herself, noticing the little guy was eyeing some left over ingredients.
Now was as good a time as any to try out the jutsu once more, in fact if it worked on this raccoon, it would surely work on Yondaime when she saw him next. There was no time to waste, the seals were being performed quickly. Next, she concentrated chakra to her palm once more. It was within this moment that the critical process for the jutsu needed to be addressed and utilized. First, a connection needed to be established with the target. As she looked at the raccoon, she began to visualize it in her mind. She began to imagine the result of using this jutsu on the target and the effects that it would have. "Gotcha!" She blurted out without even realizing. The blast of chakra from her palm was directed towards the mind of the raccoon.
The poor thing was rather confused, Hinagiku's voice sounded so close yet when it looked out she was so far away that it didn't really matter. Instincts told it to be careful, keeping an eye on the target for a moment. Hinagiku seemed to be standing in the same place, not moving. Giving off the impression of a still object such as a tree within it's mind. Naturally, it was now preparing to dig into those delicious ingredients and yet...
"Don't even think about it you little rascal."
Grasped carefully within Hina's arms was the raccoon. Now that it was confiscated, she felt she needed to bring it close to the gates to let it loose outside. It wouldn't be much of a walk just the same.
