The Taste of Otafuku Gai (Peace mission w/Leaf)

With the letter dropped off, it'd only be a matter of days before Konoha would finally get word and send for someone to get the team. In the meanwhile, there was no point in wasting valuable time. First she'd treat the team to some dinner at a beautiful restaurant. Then they'd have a training session in the morning. Patience was a virtue but Leaf really knew how to take advantage of it.

Stepping inside the establishment, she would wait for a waiter to come. This place really had good business sense for the moment Team 2 stepped inside, one was making his way towards them. "A table for four please." She said kindly and no sooner would they have to walk off to their table. They managed to get a nice window side view, Otafuku Gai really looked wonderful. Definitely an active, jolly village.

More importantly was what was on the menu. The place specialized in various Sushi and traditional cuisine. For herself, Hijikata would start off with 20 Gyoza, some salad, and a glass of water. The jounin was hungry and had quite the appetite. Minor appetizers before the main course would be taken down in-stride before getting to the main course. "Order what you like everyone, this is all on me." She'd say to make them feel comfortable. She's saved up a lot on her solo missions and would no doubt recoupe it with her active adventures courtesy of Team 2.

Leaving his gourd in the room, Tsuraiki followed his sensei around and walked into a restaurant. Tsuraiki didnt mind following them, but he wasnt really hungry. So walking in, and getting to the table, Tsuraiki then sat down and ordered something simple. (Cant think of something xD) He really wasnt too hungry, and he hoped that it wasnt just making him look as someone who didnt want to order too much because he didnt want to run up the bill or something along those lines.

Entering behind Tsuraiki and Hijikata, he'd seat himself at the table. Being more wary of his own gourd that Raiki's, he'd lay his next to him, making sure the top was seaed tightly. Then, turning to face the waitress, he'd look over the menu for a moment. The restaurant was filled with the delicious aromas of food, coupled with the view they had from their window-side seating. He smiled, then returned to his order. "I'll have some herbal tea and a salad, please." He was not very hungry to begin with, thus the reasoning for such a small order. Also, he felt rude ordering a lot as his sensei was paying for it.

OOC: Short and crappy. Where's Hakuro? Inactive again?

"Ahh..Yes. They're right over there by the window, table of four."

"Thank you.."

Owen bowed courteously toward the hostess after taking his shoes off. He looked over where the party was said to be sitting, he waited patiently for them to be finished giving their orders, then approached the group, placing the scroll on the table.

When he was closer, he got a better look at the party. There sat a young, brown haired boy, quite normal looking, a slightly older blue haired boy with a large gourd, a strange, white haired boy with transparent skin, and last but certainly not least, a beautiful black haired maiden with pigtails that fall just past her shoulders. There was something very strange about the young lady's eyes, Owen couldn't quite put his finger on what, but decided to ignore it, "Would this be the group of Mist Ninja here to discuss treaty matters?

His face was polite and honest, which would look qutie funny or cute to anyone older, seeing as how he's merely a sixteen year old young man about to discuss a peace treaty. He looked at the party in all seriousness, ready to recite the terms. He had been caught up on everything that had happened lately on his way here, the scroll explained it all.

Standing tall with confidence, he looked the group straight in the eye.

"Sorry we took so long."

OOC: Just to clear everything up, the person with the genin group is their jounin sensei (I NPC her, you know for interaction sake). since this has an IIC of two days, Hakuro's been skipped.

IC:

Hijikata would no sooner look up as the boys finished ordering. There infront of them would be a leaf ninja. He had hinted that he was a leaf shinobi by apologozing for taking so long,no sooner did she give a slight bow from her sitting position. "Yes, we are the diplomats for Mist good sir. Tsuraiki-kun will need to deliver to discuss the peace offers in this scroll with Hokage-sama and have him sign it. The rest of us are just here to discuss terms and to figure out what has happened between our two nations. Originally we were allies, only for an attack from Leaf..." Though she smiled and looked very polite, there was a bit of strain in her voice. Something natural, considering the circumstances at hand.

No sooner did she hand the scroll to Tsuraiki. It was time for him to test his wits as a diplomat and gain some experience.

Hearing the words of his sensei, Tsuraiki bowed his head a bit for the leaf ninja. Odd that he was the one to take care of it, but hey, Tsuraiki needed something. Hijikata-sensei then handed him the scroll. It must have been the peace treaty that they were sent with. So that much would be handled then and there. But Tsuraiki then wondered something else, and so he then stood up and looked at the leaf shinobi. Bowing more fully, Tsuraiki had a simple question for him.

"Is this to take place here, or are we to go meet up with the Kage and handle it there?" He would ask. If they were to handle it there, then Tsuraiki would be fine. But if they were to handle it elsewhere, or with the Kage, Tsuraiki knew that he would need to go back and get his gourd. Go figure he would leave that in the room, only to be the one who would take care of the peace treaty. But that was how things usually went for Raiki... Either way, he would be ready to take care of this. He wanted to get back to his village so that way he could continue his training.

[Iname]

OOC: Sorry for the wait. On vacation ^_^;;.

The Leaf genin would approach, and Iname would gasp. His membrane was currently in the transitional state. Hoping the boy would not notice, he quickly gathered chakra within his body. It spread among his skin, changing its texture and color at a fast rate. Within seconds, he would appear to be a normal human, and he would smile politely at the Leaf nin. The food would soon come, and he would begin to eat as he watched the situation. Hijikata had begun to explain to Owen what Raiki would have to do, and that they would have to discuss terms here. Questions raced through Iname's head as he heard about Leaf's attack on Mist. What had happened, exactly?

[I'm wondering if this should be left still until the Hokage revote is finished..i'm also wondering if it's possible to simply roll back and change what we've said to save the time and effort of recognizing and dealing with a new Hokage should that outcome occur...but I doubt it is.]

OOC: Hmm y'know, I think we might just get by without worrying much...Fina looks like he's gonna win and I've talked with him about it. So worse case scenario we'll just need to wait until the new Kage Tower and such is finished.

"Is this to take place here, or are we to go meet up with the Kage and handle it there?"

Owen shifted his attention toward the leader to the boy for a moment, "Most of the discussion can take place here, but it might be necessary for at least your sensei to speak directly with the Hokage. But..I don't think there's a problem with the rest of the group coming as well." Owen addressed the boy with a smile.

He turned back to their sensei, "I understand..I'll answer everything I can, the rest we'll save for the Hokage.."

He sat down on his knees with the rest of the group,"Now..any questions?"

"We can begin to discuss here, though ultimately, only your Leader can bring this treaty to life by signing it. Once we've obtained his signature we shall return it to Mizukage-sama. The one thing that is on all of our minds is Leaf's attack on Mist. A former Mizukage was killed by a member of Konoha. Why?" Her voice was not hostile at all but the question had to be asked. Once discussion took place, Tsuraiki would be the one to head back with Owen to see the Hokage and have him sign the treaty. Hijikata would also look to Iname, to see if there was anything he wanted to voice on the matter.

((Sorry, got some stuff going on, so Im just posting on this account. So... As Tsuraiki))

Hearing the words come from the representative of leaf, Tsuraiki was about to speak, but then he held it back as his sensei had some words of her own. Tsuraiki then wondered about that same attack, and why the Mizukage would plan an alliance with the leaf if the previous Mizukage was killed by a leaf ninja. Tsuraiki didnt understand it, but he didnt have to. The Mizukage had her reasons, and that was good enough for him, so he would continue to wait until he would be allowed to go.

[Iname]

Chin resting upon his hands, Iname would have his eyes close as he listened to the situation. Former Mizukage Tatsu had been assassinated by a Leaf ninja, and no one in Mist had any idea why. Suddenly, his eyes flew open, revealing their white color as his eyes moved towards Owen. "If I'm not mistaken, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the former Mizukage killed unprovoked?" He did not want to make it seem as if he was accusing Leaf of a crime, but it was true. As far as Iname knew, the Mist Village had done nothing to harm the Leaf. Now awaiting his answer, Iname would begin to sip at his tea as he lowered his hands into a more comfortable position.

"If I'm not mistaken, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the former Mizukage killed unprovoked?"

Owen's eyes moved toward the boy with white eyes as he asked the question he knew would come..Why did the attack in Mist happen. The truth was, he couldn't answer that question properly, he didn't know of anyone that could. Alas, as it is his mission to answer to as many questions as possible, he bit the bullet and answered as best he could, "I'll be honest, if me or anyone could answer that question properly we'd all be in a far better state than we are now.. Really all that I can tell you is that ill will has been set upon the village of Leaf in the the past, and it's lead to some pretty terrible things. Not long ago we had another Hokage go completely missing and unaccounted for..the most obvious explanation pointed to assassination, as you know the Village of Leaf has always been an undeserving target for various assassinations and attacks.." Owen paused for a moment, remembering the rumours he had heard that pointed to Mist as a culprit for the assassination. This had always seemed unlikely to him, and he wasn't one to believe rumours, so he had brushed it off as petty gossip. He continued his response, "This in turn spun off various actions and reactions that most of which, in the temporary lack of order, fell through the cracks.. Things have brightened up since then, however. All nations have their setbacks and triumphs, hopefully you're able to understand."


He looked back toward the leader of the group, expecting skewed faces for the vague response. He really had done his best, but he knew they expected more from him. He knew that was why they were here.

Hijikata looked at the genin with a rather serious expression. Her thoughts about Leaf shifted at that moment. It seems that whilst Mist was down and struggling, Konoha was too, perhaps in a state of chaos as well. However, he had reassured her that things were under control. There wasn't much more that the genin could do, now they would need to speak with the Hokage in order to resolve the issues or to gain better understanding of the situation.

"Thank you. I think, for our safety we should all come with Tsuraiki to see the Hokage. This treaty needs to be signed by him and we must witness it and take it back to Mist. Can you lead the way sir?" She looked to Iname as well as Tsuraiki now. Should Owen accept taking them to the Hokage, she'd exit following the leaf genin.

"Thank you. I think, for our safety we should all come with Tsuraiki to see the Hokage. This treaty needs to be signed by him and we must witness it and take it back to Mist. Can you lead the way sir?"

Owen nodded his head, "uhg..oh well.." He was quite weary from the journey here, and the sun had set nearly an hour ago, but he was prepared to take them back to the village's new location. It was his mission after all, and what kind of ninja would he be to slack off?

"Certainly. We'll leave immediately for the Hidden Village of Leaf."

He rose to his feet and dropped enough Ryo to cover the food, bowing quickly to the waiter. He then lead the group out of the restaurant.

After hearing the words from Owen, Tsuraiki wondered for a bit. But when he heard that they were going to be taken to the Leaf Village's new location, Tsuraiki wondered even more. So they had moved somehow? Sure, Mist was kind of doing the same thing, but either way, it seemed that the job that was supposedly given to Tsuraiki was just taken away as all of them were to be sent to watch the signing of the treaty. It didnt matter to him, so long as it got done. They had been there for awhile now, and Tsuraiki had some training he had to get done.

Before the mist representatives could exit, the entry of a cloaked figure would catch their attention and stop their progress. Although masked and robed, his voice would emerge from beneath the many layers of clothing. It was horse, deep and sluggish; it wreaked of insanity.

Owen had left, but the Mist Shinobi were stopped. Tsuraiki was unsure why, though he had a small idea. The village of leaf was a hidden village. To have a leaf ninja about to guide them to the village itself would probably be illegal and a highly punishable act. it was that way in mist, and it might be the same way as here. Tsuraiki stepped forward at the words of the cloaked man and said "Yes, We are the representatives of Leaf. We were about to follow him." He then pointed to Owen who was already walking off into the distance. "Is there something wrong?" He added, his leader-like nature taking place.
