[??/80]
The moment that the attack connected, Susumu’s heart split into a number of confusing pieces. Maybe that’s how she had felt when she had attacked him at first, like it was just wrong. He had never really wanted to hurt her or anything, and he knew that he didn’t, but that was just it. He didn’t her to be hurt, and he was afraid of her getting hurt. That was his fear. He was training two things simultaneously and he hadn’t even realized it until this stage in the game. He was overcoming his fear of her getting hurt, but he was also surviving just by being in a fight where each person had the intent to kill the other. Susumu had to overcome this fear of hurting his sister by going for the fatal attacks. He had to make sure and believe that she would be able to take care of herself. The only way that he would possibly learn was by committing to the fight and to the First Gate. He was going to nail this thing by the end of the session.
Watching the girl in front of him, Susumu only shrugged, still smirking. “We’ll see how you’re feeling at the end of the day.” He paused, winking. “If you’re feeling anything at all, that is.” He didn’t want to kill her, but he had to come at her as if he really did want to kill her. That was the only way to survive in this brutal world and it was the only way to be rid of this fear of her death. Well, not just her death, but this was also helping with Susumu’s fear of his own death. He was being attacked by somebody who really would kill him, even if she didn’t want to just like he didn’t. It wasn’t really something that was simple and easy to understand, but it definitely made sense. Susumu was going to overcome all of this, and he was going to do it right now. That was the only way he’d be able to learn the Initial Gate. He scratched the back of his head. This was troublesome.
The blood lust and rage that controlled his sister suddenly filled Susumu to the brink as a vein popped in the corner of his forehead. He was filled with fuel of battle, with the fuel that would drive him over the edge. He felt a sudden change not just within himself, but within everything around him as well. He suddenly became more aware as all his senses kicked into an overdrive, a hyper state of awesomeness. He felt as light as a feather, as if each movement was very simple, very lightweight. A smirk crossed over his face as the distance between the two was closed. She suddenly was past him and behind him. She was moving alarmingly fast, but with this enhanced state Susumu could semi-track her movements so that he was able to react faster than a normal person would’ve been. He could feel the chakra inside of him raging to get out. The vein had popped, but that didn’t necessarily mean the gate was fully opening. His body was still struggling.
The tail suddenly came dashing through the air in a stab toward Susumu. His body reacted very quickly, jumping high into the air and landing on the tip of the tail itself. He went immediately into a body flicker as he pushed off of the ground towards his sister. She had tried to kill him, but now it was his turn. His fist would come first, though he was almost positive he would be cast aside by the tail, if she had mastered it that fast anyway. If his fist did connect then it wouldn’t kill her of course, but it would definitely knock her some feet back. It was nice to have this strength, this power, this adrenaline coursing through your veins, but Susumu felt almost too powerful. Could somebody be afraid of having too much power? He thought it was possible. He knew it was possible. Only time would be able to tell.
