Plot:
Many years ago, there lived a small family, a branch of the Tsubasa clan. The members of this family were known as the Herons because of their graceful nature, beautiful voices, and snow-white wings. They loved to fly, but abhorred violence, learning techniques only for their beauty and art. Their legendary pacifism was set to become a force of change in the world. After spending many years speaking out against the Ninja Wars, two members of the clan managed to arrange a great summit of all the daimyos in the world. Alas, with every peacemaker there are those who oppose them.
The country for this great meeting, chosen by random selection, was the Claw Country. Scant days before the summit began, the two Herons were flying together around the capital. It was then they died. It is said that the killer was a saboteur from the Claw Country. Sadly, without these two, the summit never came to fruition. The Herons slowly died out, never to be heard from again…
The Herons have not left this world. What is not known about the two organizing the summit is that they were lovers. By the time of their death, they had left behind three children: Madeline, Jacob, and Matthew. All shared their parent's love of peace and truth. Sadly, they were never able to know their parents as well as they would have liked. At the time of their death, Madeline, the youngest, was only 6 years old. Though all were shaken by the horrible circumstances, Jacob, the middle child, was altered the most. He already believed that some conflicts could not be settled with words, and ninja existed to 'mediate' those conflicts. When his parents were alive, he was ready to believe he was just a boy, not sure of how the world worked. After their demise, he simply realized he was right all along.
Jacob began training in the way of the ninja, preparing to destroy his parents' killers. Though Madeline and Matthew first opposed this plan, Jacob's eloquent and passionate speeches soon swayed their thoughts. Each trained themselves in different techniques, different releases, different fighting styles. Soon they were ready to destroy the Claw Country Capital.
However, there is still a final facet to this situation. There remains the child protector, Keila. Considered a prophet of Claw Country's largest religion, she is known as the land's great protector. She has spent her life learning the ways of many styles, including the legendary Paper Release. The problem presented is that Keila is a child. Despite her great clout, she is only 12 years old. And 12-year-olds don't like competition. Combined with paranoid schizophrenia, Keila is bent not only on killing the last of the Herons, but also destroying anything that gets in her way. Claw has sent for a ninja squadron, consisting of shinobi of every nation that will join in, to help them. The only question is, who is the enemy?
Location:
Claw Country. The battle will begin within 1 kilometer of the capital, and depending on the choices made within the event, may proceed to the capital itself.
Rules:
1] Standard site rules apply.
2] Death is enabled.
3] Two staff members decide you're dead, you're dead.
4] PM me for any necessary details. Do not clutter the thread with OOC posts. I suggest consulting with those of your own country over IM.
5] Each nation can decide who it wishes to fight. Both Keila and the Herons are to be considered enemies.
6] Each team of shinobi must at least 1 Jounin, unless there are 3 or more Genin/Chuunin.
7] A maximum of 5 ninja can be sent from 1 village. The ninja from a village constitute a team (e.g. all Cloud shinobi are one team).
8] Joiner cap is set at 30.
9] Depending on the actions of shinobi within the thread, the battle may take an unexpected turn.
10] All Player Characters can be killed by other Player Characters, including after the battle is over.
IIC Length:
2 Days. It is possible to withdraw from the event at any time due to personal reasons. If you do not notify me before leaving the event or if you cannot post, your character will be killed automatically.
Prize(s):
The bounty on the heads of each Heron is 20000 Ryo. All who participated in the killing of that particular Heron will receive that amount. Killing Keila yields all weapons on her person, to be divided evenly amongst participants.

General Apperance: Beneath their robes, all the Herons wear skin-tight bodysuits, made for combat.

Personality: Jacob is very bitter at the death of his parents. He was once a carefree child, but now is simply dark. He hates all ninja, as well as most humans in general. It is his belief that all problems can be solved only by war, and this is how nature mediates itself. However, his disdain for ninja has led him to believe the death of all shinobi will restore the world to its natural order. He intends to begin by bringing down the Claw Capital as a test of his might. Jacob is also slightly deluded, believing that he is capable of bringing about a new world order, an age of peace between deadly battles. He craves fighting, an effect brought by mental trauma.
Appearance: Despite his brutality, Jacob is quite beautiful. Although his skin has an ivory tone, it is offset by his piercing green eyes. He wears his wavy blonde hair extremely long, wearing a circlet to keep it out of his eyes. Jacob's robes are typical of the Herons, an alabaster colour with almost regal flair. Beneath this he also wears olive coloured leather gauntlets. Jacob's wings are snow-coloured, even lighter than his face. They are among the widest, and have a 16-foot span.

Personality: Matthew is the most peace-oriented of the three. Although he is willing to fight with his brother, he has always been uneasy about battle. Inheriting the greatest portion of his parents' love of peace, he once could not view others in pain without becoming sick. He has managed to refrain from the habit, although he often has to distance himself from the battle. Thus, during fights, Matthew will sometimes come across as cold and merciless when he is really just trying not to think about what he is doing. His love for Jacob has led him to take up the cause of killing the world's ninja, but he himself is not in favour of the idea. He feels he must care for his brother regardless of what happens.
Appearance: Of the three, Matthew appears to be the most delicate. His features are angular and prim, making the Heron appear to be some sort of prince. Like his siblings, he has light blonde hair, but his is more curly, stretching as far as mid-thigh length. Having spent more time outdoors than either of his two siblings he is slightly more tanned, appearing as a fair-skinned (but normal) person. In accordance with his princely appearance, Matthew's robes are also regal, his robe accompanied by a long cloak as well as tassels. As opposed to the knee-high boots his brother wears, Jacob has proper dress shoes, less suited for walking, but more for combat.

Personality: Madeline is the baby of the family, but she is also strong in her own right. Although she partially shares in the beliefs of Matthew, she is currently at the stage Jacob was in prior to the death of their parents: some problems must be solved by violence alone. As a result, the young Heron can be fierce in battle. Being a woman as well as being beautiful gives her an extra edge in combat, allowing her to distract her opponents before she strikes. However, Madeline prefers an intelligent route, forcing her enemies into a corner before finishing them off. As a result, she uses Genjutsu, particularly the Mateki Flute. Madeline loves both her brothers incredibly, and any time they are threatened she is prone to fly into a rage.
Appearance: Madeline is by far the most beautiful of the three Herons. Her skin, the palest of them all, looks completely pure and beautiful, free of imperfections. Her beauty is so great, some refer to her as a goddess. Her hair, long as Matthew's and straight as Jacob's, splays out in all directions, a halo of strands. Her green eyes, unlike Jacob's, have a soft, near mournful appearance. Madeline is very slim, making her long white dress appear fairly large on her. However, her clothing is by fair the simplest of the Herons', the only ornamentation being a golden belt made of filmy fabric. In contrast to her skin, Madeline's wings are the darkest, almost brown in colour.

Personality: To be brief, Keila is insane. However, she does not appear this way. When first meeting this young girl, she seems perfectly natural, or even better. She is incredibly intelligent, well read on many subjects. This is coupled with natural charisma and poise, as well as general kindness. However, this is all simply a mask for the true person inside. Keila has delusions of grandeur, believing she has been sent down from the heavens, a mighty god, to educate the people in the ways of the holy. As a result, she is not fond of those who do not listen to her message. Keila is extremely diseased in the mind, making her a deadly threat to opposition. Her ninja training also causes her to be a formidable warrior. Keila is the worst of both worlds, and itching to kill.
Appearance: Despite her horrible personality, Keila is rather-good looking. Her face, though pale and passive, is rather beautiful, offsetting her brilliant golden eyes. She wears her sapphire her at mid-back length, kept up by a red hairband. Matching this band is an amazing formal robe, made for her by the finest tailors. Several patterns adorn the cloak, along with hundreds of golden tassles. Beneath this Keila wears a more suitable shirt, made strictly for combat. She also wears large white pants and formal shoes to complete this curious and astonishing 'look.'

Description: The sound is produced by a multi-toned metallic plate worn across the ninja's forearm, which when tapped, can produce devastating vibrations. The attacking ninja takes a swing at their opponent intending to be dodged. Once the plate is directed towards the opponent, it is tapped, producing sound waves that the ninja then manipulates with chakra, guiding it to the inner ear of their opponent. With this technique the user is capable of pushing the soundwaves into the very pours of the human body creating a similar effect towards the very body.

This attack is more of a defensive type of attack in which the user uses this attack either during a block, or when the opponent himself blocks.

Effect: A specialized flute in which is used to allow the user to create devastating power from within the item. The flute is used for techniques to distort an opponent by using the knowledge of Sounds.

Drawback: The flute costs a pretty penny, and takes time in order to learn all of the strong techniques within the weapon. The weapon is somewhat strong but with a good blow against the flute the flute is capable of breaking.
Description: A somewhat large flute that is made out of bamboo. The flute is usually known to be of a nice dark brown like color. The length of the Bamboo Flute is thirty to thirty-five centimeters, while the width is seven and a half to eight centimeters. A small tie is tied around the flute as just a simple design to keep the flute somewhat of a delicate feeling. A picture can be found here.
Limit: Must be bought in the Instrument Shop. Capable of starting off with.
