Obeying his superiors orders, though disliking the fact that was so equally as much, he dropped his hand from the door handle. Genjutsu didn't scare him, it only served as an amusement - the feeble, flashing images and mental alterations what a weaker mind couldn't fend off. He admitted, there was an aspect to it which fascinated him, but not enough to warrant any real research or interest.[/blockquote]
Staying at the top of the stairs, he would only watch as the "leader" lead the way to the bottom. He had intended on moving back to the door and opening it as soon as he was out of eye and ear shot, giving him a chance to try and rescue more patients. The commotion at the bottom interested him not, for how could they guarentee this Rubi's "Good" side was as good as it made out? For all they knew, the little girl was the victim in all of this - and in a hospital full of insanity, acting rationally was probably the worst thing you could do.
As he watched the improvised boss walk down though, he could see something at the bottom - a puddle. No, a pond. No, something bigger... and growing. The body of water was spreading upwards and upwards, covering the levels the stairs ascended as it did so. Looking about, he would try and find an escape route but would have no joy. Looking at the long corridor he had once started towards on is right, he glanced back and made his decision. He would flee down it, and quickly. Starting off at a sprint moments before the water flooded over the top of the stairs, he would make it twenty meters down the corridor before he too was caught up in the wave, and with it descend into darkness.
When he opened his eyes however, he would look about extremely confusedly. All about, the hospital had been removed and now replaced with...
A forest? Yes, it was a forest. It smelt, looked and even felt like a forest should do. Was this all Genjutsu? It must've been, for even the most powerful Mokuton couldn't recreate such greenery in such a time. Turning about on the spot, he would expect to see the others who had reached the top of the stair to still be there - but would see nothing. No one was there, waiting for him. He now seemed to be entirely alone...
