Opening of the Act [Event]

At the Whitebeard Tavern lies an group of unruly people, all good-hearted, but not what you would call the most obedient. Having stood for a long time, the place is run down, yet the people give the place its unique atmosphere. A rather wide three story building, it lies on the corner at the end of one of Yokoburi's busiest streets, giving it great business. But it was chosen due to its past history as serving as a hideout in times of chaos in the country. Seion himself used to frequent the place. He is still treated the same, but his status gives him the right to use the secret compartments found in this mysterious inn. Upon going through the secret hallways after confirming your identity as a shinobi of the Rain, you will be led by a young beauty to a small room with one large table in the center of it, several chairs accompanying it. At the farthest end of the round table lies our client, the man responsible for keeping the peace in the Capital, Hiko Seion. Sit down, have a drink of your choice and await further orders.

My mood changed as I walked through Yokoburi, Ame's capital. It was a normal busy day. I was headind towards Whitebeard Tavern. The atmosphere changed when I walked into a quite busy street. This street seemed much more busy than other streets in Yokoburi. I stopped and turned. I was now standing in front of the Whitebeard Tavern. There were lots of stories going round, about this place. It didn't seem all that interesting from the outside though.

I walked into the building, through the back door, going through the secret hallway. I confirmed the required information. I was then guided to a small room. I wasn't sure what to do but I figured I'd do whatever the young, beautiful woman told me. She brought me inside the room, in which there was one big table. I asked and got served a bottle of water. I noticed another person sitting in the room, at the far end of the large table. It was Seion, Hiko Seion. I had heard many stories about him, but nevermind that. I then walked up to him, bowed before him, and greeted. "It's an honor, sir Seion-sama." After that, I sat down, kept quiet, and awaited orders.[/size]

It had been several months since he had come here, since before he had faced off against the Rokudaime. There would be people in the city who might resent his actions against the once famous leader of Amegakure no Sato. There would equally be people here who would remember who he was, what he had tried to do to change the country, and his reputation as being a survivor, hard to kill. Today, the crimson-haired ninja of Rain would put those thoughts to the side, as his steps lead him to the entrance to the Whitebeard Tavern. He entered through the door, several of the faces recognised by himself, and others recognising him. Within a few minutes he was directed towards the far end of the room, to the back areas.

From here, he followed the passageway that lead to the more secreted parts of the building, back from the old days where the land was in far worse turmoil... though all the world seemed to be heading in that direction these days. He was finally shown into the back room, with one large table and several chairs, a meeting room. Already people were awaiting the presence of others inside, among them was the reputed Hiko Seion himself.

'An honor to see you, Seion-sama.' he said respectfully, bowing, before heading over to the table before him and taking a seat at the table. Others may yet arrive before the meeting began.

Ever so soft foot falls carried the shinobi of Amegakure into the country's capital, his silouette draped from head to toe in an ebony blanket. Protected by the extension of his cloak, obsidian locks seeped low, just a little past the shinobi's shoulders. Darkness surrounded much of the shadowy figure on this particular day, save for the creamy caramel-colored paint which coated Kamitsuke's portrait.

His previous visit to the capital had been on a mission to entertain the nobles of the town. In battle, he faced the previous Amekage in a friendly spar. To his misfortune though', he had been called here on more important, more serious business.

A delicate caramel appendage pushed open the door to the Whitebeard Tavern upon his arrival, and he stepped in, his identification as a shinobi etched onto his forehead. He was approached by a young lady a few steps in and led to the back areas of the tavern. Despite the apparent rush she portrayed when she grabbed him, her pace had slowed once they left the public area, and it gave Kamitsuke the perfect opportunity to observe her intricate assets.

He had been led into a room with a large table and several chairs set up amongst it. His eyes scanned the area, and there was one face he recognized. He bowed toward the Lord before he took his seat. He had positioned himself closer to Kinninata than the rest, and words escaped those thin, full lips.

"Greetings, Kinninata-kun."

Navigating through the capital and ever looking around at the impressive sites, Shadow almost get's lost, being his first time around here, but going through a more busy area he quickly notices a more rundown place, seemingly out of place, yet still so fitting, it was clearly the Whitebeard Tavern, his first destination

Going through the sturdy yet fragile looking entrance, the atmosphere was pretty common for a tavern, only with a much more interesting background. As he nears the counter his purpose is quickly recognized and he is pointed to a young girl that is to direct him through a hidden passage to a small room where few people sat, some from the village and the client, Shadow nods in sign of greeting to all and goes to sit down in a more reserved chair awaiting further actions

Saitoshi made his way through the bustling streets of the Yokoburi as the heavy rain from which the city got its name continued the fall unabated. He wore a heavy cloak that fell nearly to the ground with a hood that was pulled over his head, covering his visage from anybody trying to take too close a look. This was the first time that the young Genin had been in the capital. Taking care to make sure he was not being followed, Saitoshi made his way towards the Whitebeard Tavern.

The tavern itself was a little rundown, but upon entering Saitoshi could feel the jovial atmosphere that its patrons brought to it. Weaving his way through the crowd that had planted itself at the many tables and around the bar, Saitoshi lowered his hood. He made his way to a back room where he was greeted by a beautiful young girl in a low cut blouse that revealed much of her endowments . Unphased, Saitoshi pulled the left side of his cloak, revealing the symbol of the Amegakure engraved into a metal plate tied around his leg just above the knee. No words were exchanged, as none needed to be. This girls purpose was to lead him to where he needed to go, nothing more.

The girl motioned for him to follow her and turned, leading him through a series of dimly lit passage. Eventually they arrived at door and the girl indicated that Saitoshi should make his way through. He nodded his thanks and waited until the girl was out of sight before opening the door.

Inside the room Saitoshi saw a large table around which were seated other Ame shinobi and at the head sat Hiko Seion, the Chief of Capital Affairs. Saitoshi bowed deeply.

”Seion-sama, I am Sagura no Saitoshi, it is an honor to meet you.” He stood up straight again and cast his gaze around the room. He only recognised one of the shinobi present, Kamitsuke whom he had worked with during their Genin exam. He nodded towards him and took a seat near him to await the arrival of the others.

OOC: Looks like it was a good idea to wait after all. Sorry for the lateness, I thank all of you who have decided to show up. Latecomers who I haven't talked to already may PM me if they still wish to join, I do have a plot for them too. Now, let's get this show started.

With violet eyes, Seion would nonchalantly observe those who made their way into the room. Out of them, he acknowledged their greeting with a nod, raising a eyebrow when he saw a certain Sandaime. When everyone was seated, he checked a pocketwatch, opening it for but a few seconds before shutting it and placing it on the table.

"For those who have come here, the city of Yokoburi is indebted to you. While many of you know the gist of why you have been called here, I shall explain the details here and now. Or rather, I will show them to you. Don't worry, this will not harm you.

From the shadows, a hidden team of men, of the same number as those who have showed up, performed hand seals, linking their brain waves with each shinobi there. They were all part of Seion's forces, having personally been placed against danger in this mysterious situation. They knew what they had seen and as they showed the images from their minds to the shinobi, Seion explained the images.

"The people that you are now seeing are in reality, children. Harmless...and innocent. However, I do not know what they are, but these spirits or something of the like seem to possess, giving them each a power that rivals a highly ranked shinobi. As you see here, they can wreak both trivial mischief....and deadly destruction."

Images of a stuffed sewer, a destroyed market street, large illegible writing on several buildings, a great fire, would slide into the shinobi's minds. Some of them seemed harmless, others would classify as terrorism. Seion would let the images sink into their minds for a few minutes before he spoke once more. With a wave of his hand, he called for his men to stop the jutsu.

"Now I will split you into teams and give each of the teams a task.

Team 1, Terato and the Sandaime, Kininata. You will shadow a man who has recently come into the Capital, around the same time these incidents starting occuring. In fact, he was the only newcomer and has acted suspiciously. He is quite difficult to track, I must warn you. He happens to be around the red-light district most of the time. Take this scroll, which has the information that we have gathered so far on him and good luck on capturing the man.

Team 2, Kamitsuke and Satoshi, you shall be patrolling the area that has been most hit by the "spirited", as we have come to call them. There is a high chance of their appearing there once more. This scroll has the specifics on the locations and all the damages done, including what kind and all eyewitness accounts. Be vigilant and I bid you good luck.

Team 3, Shadow, you shall be alone for now, but another will be joining you shortly. Your job will be to stay at this cathedral. To be honest, there are no records of it having ever been built and no one can enter it. But as for what lies within, even my power cannot give you the answer. Beware of danger and do not hesitate to come back here for help.

Shinobi of Amegakure, may all of you be victorious in your endeavors."

A slight smirk appeared on my face, as Seion-sama finished explaining the mission. I got up, out of my chair and walked up to the Sandaime, Kininata. I figured now that we were in a team, I were introduce myself first, if he did not know of me already. I bow down to the previous Amekage, then stood up straight again. "It's an honor to get the chance to work with you, Sandaime-sama. I go by the name of Terato Yohiko." I said respectfully, with a quite serious face. I believed that, even though he wasn't the Amekage anymore, I should still be respectful.

My eyes looked over at the scroll, containing information on the man ,Kininata and I, are supposed to spy on. I took the scroll and carefully read the description. I pictured the man, described in the scroll, in my head, as well as I pictured Kininata and I fighting him. I felt good about this mission, anyone could see that. Reasons for my slight excitement were, that I for one had the chance to work alongside a once Kage, and the fact that the mission was of utmost importance. I put the scroll on the table, just in front of Kininata, somewhat giving a message saying "You read now."

I wasn't sure if I'd leave with or without Kininata, so I told the previous Amekage: "Sandaime-sama, I have no intensions of waiting in this room. With all due respect, I will start moving towards the Red Lights District, with or without you, yours to say. I do not wish to interfere in any business you have to settle before heading out to start the mission. We'll meet each other just before the point of entering the Red Lights District, Sandaime-sama." Having said that, I left the Whitebeard Tavern.[/size]

Saitoshi was to work with Kamitsuke again. He found this to be a favourable outcome; having worked briefly with him during the Genin exam mission he was familiar with how he operated and had found him to be a reliable partner.

Taking the scroll that had been given to them he perused through the information on the ‘spirited’, as they had come to be called, and the damage that they had caused. Some of the occurrences appeared trivial in nature, nothing more than the pranks pulled by restless children. Graffiti and senseless damage to property had occurred but then there had been more serious events, such as a fire that had destroyed half of a recreational park in the area. The area that they had been assigned to was quite large, with the damage spread across it.

Turning to Kamitsuke, Saitoshi handed him the scroll.

”Kamitsuke-kun, I’m pleased to be working with you again. After reading through the information I would suggest that we investigate the scenes of these occurrences during the day, talk to some of the witnesses perhaps and see if we can identify a pattern. While all of these events have occurred on a specific day at the toll of the midnight bell, it would be remise of us to ignore the possibility that this pattern could change. Perhaps at night we should split up, covering as much ground as we can and devise a way to alert the other covertly if we come across anything?” Saitoshi finished, offering him his opinion. He would wait, however, for Kamitsuke to read through the scroll before any firm decisions were made on how they would approach they task that had been laid before them.

Kininata observed the others as they arrived, and among them only one face was recognised - Kamitsuke. A warm smile came to his face to see the young ink-user again. "Greetings, Kininata-kun." He said as he took his place next to him, spoken softly to him. Kininata leaned over to him slightly, keeping his voice down.

'Good to see you again, Kamitsuke-kun.'

After a few minutes the last of the group arrived, and Hiko Seion began the briefing, though with a somewhat unusual style. Seion had been reputed to have some very skilled and unique men in his group, but Kininata did not expect this. The vividness of the imagery was disturbing initially, but his experience brought his mind in focus onto the mission objectives, and then the individual assignments were handed out, the ninja's gathered separated into two-man cells.

Kininata had been assigned to Terato Yohiko, someone whom he had little information about beside old blurred sentences from the last reports he read off the Amekage's desk some time ago. However, from his appearance he seemed to be a capable individual. Terato passed over the scroll with the description of the man, and he took the scroll to read over it, skimming over to read key details of the description as Terato spoke; "Sandaime-sama, I have no intensions of waiting in this room. With all due respect, I will start moving towards the Red Lights District, with or without you, yours to say. I do not wish to interfere in any business you have to settle before heading out to start the mission. We'll meet each other just before the point of entering the Red Lights District, Sandaime-sama." A moment later Terato made his way towards the exit, and it was only seconds later that Kininata himself rose from his seat.

'Good luck Kamitsuke-san!' He said with a cheerful tone, giving him a thumbs up as he turned towards the exit to head out with his temporary team mate. The confidence he showed was marred with a degree of concern however. If Seion says this man is hard to follow, then he must be fairly skilled and dangerous. With that thought fresh in his mind, he took his leave to the streets.

With everyone in place the briefing would begin, with a few words said, an array of images are to be shown, some stranger than other

After a short description, teams are stated and everyone is given their first orders, it would appear he was alone for now so as the others conversed, he quickly got up and headed for the cathedral

After the short briefing of the situation details and the plethora of images displayed, Kamitsuke would turn to Saitoshi who had already began to speak. He absorbed his words respectfully, and retrieved the scroll once offered to him. Those onyx pools scanned over the details; it revealed eye witness accounts, specific locations, and records on the damage that was done.

"Whoa Whoa, Saitoshi-kun ! Slow down. I need to retrieve a few things first ; meet me at the Hit Zone in exactly an hour."

His words were laced with the persona of a joker, and with a quick wink of his right eye, he would make his leave from the cathedral.

Saitoshi nodded to Kamitsuke as his partner turned to leave.

"Agreed. I will meet you in one hour at the park that was set alight." Kamitsuke made his way from the room and Saitoshi turned back to to Seion. "If you will excuse me Seion-sama, I will make my way to the Hit Zone."

With that Saitoshi left the room and remembering the lay out of the city from a map he had studied made his way towards the area he had been assigned to.
