Name: Rage Forever, Beast of Death
Rank: S
Plot:
Life fled from body. Soul from breast. I gazed into oblivion. Death creeps slowly for you all. Beware the Beast of Death…
A letter will arrive by black raven, carried on the winds, and within will be a mission of utmost import. Each village will need to send ninja; to save a man, to save a village, to recover an item, to kill a man, to capture. None of them will ever meet, few of them may yet survive. These missions will not call for their best, seemingly mediocre work that any can participate within, but they will soon see the truth. A hand stirs from the darkness, long forgotten, to tug upon the puppet strings of the world once again from the shadows. Those that survive may come to see this man’s face in the later years, or perhaps they will only see their death.
Note: Consider all missions C-ranking
Leaf:
A letter arrives through tower window, a raven black as death carrying message on the stale wind of the day, and within the parchment is the orders upon which you are to follow. A task. You are to enter the Forest of Death, deep within the heart, to stop a man who is claimed to have the power to crush your village; but they say he is merely insane. C is the ranking this mission is given, allowing even the lowly of genin to participate. Within the letter is described a hut where this man resides, he has attacked several ninja that have entered the forest, injuring them severely, but none have died. A nuisance. Strike him down. The one that strikes the killing blow may take his weapon, a blade made from dragon bone and metal unknown, possessing a power of darkness.
Sand:
Upon the wings of the blackened bird a letter does arrive, given forthwith to the shadow of the village, so that his eyes alone may discern direction. Here lies a mission. You are to strike out course for a village to the south of Sunagakure no Sato, beset by raiders daily, fear driven and dying. Defeat these raiders and save this village, receive your reward, as well as the glory. Be wary, they say that their leader possesses deadly skill akin to the ninja, the soul of a demon, and the immortality of the undead. His axe holds the power of death, to be passed to the one that deals the killing blow, and spills his blood upon the sweeping sands.
Stone:
From open window does raven enter, landing upon your very desk, discarding a letter of great import. High atop the mountain peak does a deadly beast await, one that threatens to destroy the very villages of the land, breathing fire and ice and death. The mission. You must scale the mountain and strike the beast down, with blade and spirit, in order to save your lands from their fate. Rumor tells of a great treasure that the beast holds, a blade that possesses its very power, enough to strike fear into the other villages, enough to strike fear into the world.
Lightning:
Down from the heavens does black bird descend, a letter written in blood, a message of dire urgency. Your quest. Several ninja have been kidnapped while traveling back to their home village of Kumogakure no Sato. They demand ransom for your ninja, too hefty for your village to pay, but if you have pride then you do not plan on that route regardless. Within the letter they speak of the hideout, as well as an entrance to the south that will lead you beneath the terrain into their ‘alleged’ impenetrable fortress. Rescue these ninja.
Water:
Your note is left upon your desk, the black carrion bird ascending before your eyes, and soon the letter draws your attention. Call to action. Ninja of another country invade your soils, search with haste for your village, and threaten to strike you when most opportune. A scout has spotted these men, sent word to you, and now you hold the means to deal with this. They land upon the eastern shore, within a small fishing community, taking refuge for the night before they attack in the day. Strike them first before they awaken.
Snow:
The black raven gazes at your for a moment, dropping the letter before you, and rising to heavens unreached upon winds that stink of death. Peril. Plague and famine most unnatural strike your lands, the cause unknown, yet one has seen what others have not and sent you word. Chakra resides behind the sickly plants and people, behind the death, behind the pain. A trail leads to the caverns near the bay, but are lost within the darkness. You are to find the one or those responsible and crush them beneath your heel, to free the grip of death locked upon the throat of your lands.
Waterfall:
The cry of the raven draws you from your work, a letter at your fingertips, and soon it flies away into the sun. Disaster. Waterfalls have begun to dry unnaturally, as these lands are lush with liquid, more than any drought could tame. Reports show the work of saboteurs, using chakra to drain the waters, to kill the lands. Such tragedy has yet to hit Takigakure no Sato, yet you can not sit idly by if you have any sense of honor. Rise and defend your lands, strike down those who ruin them.
Grass:
Out darts the dark form of the raven, letter resting within your seat, the morning sun hiding the bird from view after only a moment. Tragedy. The lush green lands are dying, the animals are said to have death in their eyes and your people suffer. Ninja of unknown origin drain the life from your land, use it to power their machines, and spit in your face as they do so. Are you willing to accept such treatment? I would think you better, and so you must rise up and devour this foe, so that you may return your lands to what they once were.
Rain:
A raven watches you from the window seal for but a moment, fluttering into the rain, leaving a message upon your desk. Death. Blood has begun to rain from the very heavens, contaminating the drinking water, as well as killing what little agricultural commerce that existed. Your machinery begins to rust as well beneath this unnatural rain, and soon there will be no livelihood within the land, only pain and suffering. Ninja are behind this, their lands unknown, their plan equally hidden in shadow. Drive them back into the pits from which they were belched, end this madness, and save your lands.
Sound
Black wings flutter around the room for but a moment, dropping the letter upon the desk, and gracing the window seal for but a moment. Tormoil. A beast is loose, freed upon the lands of your fathers and children, and all it wishes is to taste the blood of your flock; to devour your people. You must slay it, you must let it never drink again the blood of your women, your men, your children. End this monstrosity and free your lands once more, show them the might that Oto once possessed. Prove you are not forgotten.
