Team Chimera Zero (PM to Enter)

"Yeah that was really cool" he said, looking at Phy as they all stopped their assaults. Hiro even dropped the Sakurai technique that had still been floating around him. The blue-white lightning petals flickered out of sight. He turned to look at Shigure. "Your jutsu were really cool too" he complimented.

"I just don't think attacking each other with whatever is the best way to figure out how to work as a team. We should be like...training together or something like that, you know?"

The boy rambled on slightly more about not being like a team but quickly tapered off. He looked between the other two team members and smiled a huge smile. The issues he had when Shigure first found him today had been pushed back and seemed non-important. He gave the two of them a thumbs up.

"We should do a mission or something."

Phy being the brute of offensive and very inexperienced in battles, had no idea how to switch off her fire. She remained quiet for awhile even after the two said her jutsu was good. "Only did one....don't even know how to stop it..." she said seeing the grass still lit on fire. She still was unsure of herself and clearly did not understand Hiroki. 'First he's yelling about his name....then hes shooting Sugar Ray...then its yelling about fighting....now hes freaking smiling...' she thought clearly confused on how he thought.

"I really don't understand people..." she muttered. Hearing Hiroki mention about a mission. She rubbed her head abit. "I don't...know...Hickory....last one didn't end all that well...and don't see how that is gonna help this....whatchmacallit word....team?" she would say still not knowing what she was doing. She started to rub her left eye a bit as the smoke was really irritating the injured one. And of course the girl didn't call Hiroki right even after he yelled it at her.

Shigure scoffed at Hiroki about his techniques being cool. Of course they were, the young genin was awesome to begin with, techniques were only icing on the cake. But he wouldn't allow affection from Hiroki about them. "Yours we're... good too I guess." He'd state, in a rather monotonous voice. Even though they had gotten closer, there were people around, and he couldn't lose his status as the hard ass.

Turning his head back to watch the rings of fire now somewhat dissipating, he'd reach up with both hands to massage his temples. "Well we'll figure it out sooner or later Phyre, even if we have to bring buckets of water with us on missions."

Taking a small breath, he'd turn to face both of them, and respond as only he knew best. To throw a rachet into their plans.

"Well we are a team, that has been settled from the start. Missions are nice, but we kinda need to find a name for ourselves. Each one of us is completely different from the other two.. what should we name our selves?"

This was strange comming from Shigure, but he was one who liked to have things figured out before anything happened. They needed to feel like a team before attempting another mission. "Hiroki your good at the whole 'togetherness' thing, what would you say?"

"It's okay Phyre, I mean..." It took him a moment to realize what the female member of the team meant by not ending well, but Hiro didn't do anything in response. "It might...you never know."

Only...good? Wait, Shigure is Shigure...awesome!

Hiroki took a moment to process what it was that Shigure told him. The boy knew that his cousin was a bit of a... Well he wasn't exactly a people person. That meant that Shigure said it as a compliment. Hiro grinned and nodded.

The rest of his cousin's statements threw Hiro off, he blinked at the comment of togetherness and needing a name. In fact, he didn't even speak since he was thinking so hard. It showed on his face too, he looked puzzled as if this was a difficult math problem. He started talking out loud.

"Okay so we need a name...but...I dunno, uh, numbers are too easy and don't sound cool. We're all really cool and I don't think we use the same elements in our techniques...hm...what about...oh! I think I got it you guys! What about Chimera or something? Each part of it's completely different but it's still one creature!"

It looked like the young genin's imagination had gone the fantastical creature route of naming their team.

Phyre raised a slight eye-brow. 'They are actually talking to me? And giving me...whatever that word is...' Phy thought to the compliments she knew not what to call it of. She stood still with her arms crossed as Shigure motioned for Hiroki who only seemed to be getting more excited by the minute to come up with a name. Phy was never one for talking, hell this was most she said to these guys since she met them.

"Misfits...." is what Phy blurted out right before Hiroki came up with Chimera in which Phy tried to keep her interest in the mythology on the down low. Her sister always had a running imagination and loved to tell fantasy stories, of creatures, goddesses, and princesses awaiting to meet their prince charmings. Deep down Phy was as excited as Hiroki was, the name Chimera sparked a slight feeling in the girl, but she attempted to keep her own and remain calm, and quiet again.

"Alright....so since I guess I'm stuck with you two....where am I to expect I'll get dragged off to next?" she would say as if she was still not thrilled with the idea. The inner her was zyked but it was incredibly difficult on a girl who got used to being alone, and a life filled with tragedy.

Shigure;'s eyes went wide at the name Hiroki shot out -his cousin may have brains after-all-, then closed themselves with ease at Phyre's mentioning of Misfits. The girl still seemed a bit stand-offish, but what could you do. At least she had shown them that she was capable of maintaining her stealth within the tree during the entire spar. Something Hiroki and Shigure had not done. She may very well be a better ninja than both of them, though Shigure wouldn't dare tell her that.

"Chimera sounds good. But im assuming we may have to follow suit with Rosalie and her team. Though they aren't a team anymore, I'd like to pay omage to them. Since they did give me the opporotunity to join their team before we formed this one."

With this, Shigure pondered a minute about Team phoenix Zero, and its memebers.

"Lets call it Team Chimera Zero."

Hiro's eyes flashed with excitement at the prospect of having a name for their team. When Shigure said 'team chimera zero' he jumped up and threw his arm up into the air.

"Alright!"

Obviously, he liked it. A huge smile was plastered across his face since as the seconds passed by they were becoming more and more like a team than they had at the beginning of the day. In fact, Hiro was much less depressed than he was at the start of the day.

"So now...we should go on a mission. Like...definitely."

He was excited. So excited in fact, that after he said that he took off in the general direction of the Takikage's tower.

Phy kept her head down low, and arms crossed. Looking a bit off to the side only to look up when it seemed Hiroki got even more excited. 'I miss something?' she thought as the boy went running off.

Phy would look over briefly to Shigure. "He's never gonna be not like this huh?" she would say seeing as the kid for the most part was always happy till he killed that one guy. She sighed. "Guess I'm stuck with you guys....see you at the tower...Sugar Ray." she would say as she casually waved once and walked in the direction that Hiroki had been.

As Shigure watched his overly excited cousin run off to the village, the shinobi knew with Hiroki's one track mind that he would be heading to the Takikage Tower, to place them in a mission right away. They Needed Hiroki's optimism though, for if it was just he and Phyre within the team, Shigure doubted anything would ever get done.

Shigure couldn't help but laugh at Phyre's remark, one of the very few words she spoke directly to the young genin and they were on the same wavelength. He knew he liked this girl for a reason. One step forward was all it took to be in sync with phyre, both heading off to follow their "leader".

Phyre was bored, bored as can be. She would just be walking about with her bird perched on her shoulder, who would every now and then flap its wings and smack Phy in the back of the head. "One of these times....you will learn I don't appreciate you doing that to me...." she muttered scolding her bird for what seemed like the 100th time. She wondered if her team mates had been at the base at all. It was quite lonely without them. Phy had grown accustomed to these two, they might as well be considered her family. Course she would have yet to actually admit this to their faces.

Then again her actions of protection to these guys would always speak very loud of her intentions/feelings for them. "Anyone home? I'm bored..." she would say out loud looking for the others. Sanji had also picked on her for the last time...he said something about she needed more training in something maybe one of her team mates knew best. 'We shall see what Sanji wants me to work on next I suppose...' she thought.

Seemed none of her teammates were home yet....No one seemed to know where they were anyway....This didn't sit well with Phy as she began to think the worst had happened. Once more she was the lone wolf of this world. 'Go figure...just when I was thinking I was happy with myself about having friends and the like....' she would think as she decided to go do some shopping before going to see if Sanji was at their usual meeting place. She would sigh, 'I'll miss those two....'

Home. Finally home. Hiroki walked up the path that, since the last time he was here, had gotten overgrown since no one had really taken care of the house. Not that it was anyone's blame. The three members of Chimera Zero had just been... busy. Truthfully, he had been thinking of home every day for the past year while he had been away. He'd failed in both of his missions that Rosie had given, only to come back to find that she stepped down and a new Kage was sitting in the Takikage's chair.

"Some leader I am," he muttered, thinking that he'd abandoned his team. Sure, they didn't really get along most days but he sure as hell cared about them. Hiro also felt that in a way he failed the village, being away so long. He had to get caught up. Somehow.

With a sigh, he stepped up to the wooden steps of the home and sat down. With any luck someone would be around.

Some ninja he had turned out to be.

Shigure sat in the grand house's Sun room, staring out at the pond that sat just in front of his team's base. He had been away from Takigakure for over a year. getting his mind right and priorities settled. He hadn't mentioned to anyone that he was leaving, nor did he keep track of the on-goings of the village. Just complete solitude.

Two Chuunin exams. Two. He had failed to of these exams, where each of his teammates has flourished in. Hiroki at the first, Phyre at the second. For all his big talk and showboating, his capability as a Ninja hadn't proved his mouth correct. This is why he had left. At his current state back then he was a hindrance, a nuisance.

As he heard the door open, He'd stay put. Shigure wanted to speak to whomever it was that had entered, but he didn't want to go see who exactly it was. At his mind's state back before the previous Chuunin exams, Shigure was cocky and listened to no one, but that has changed. He was a different person. Or so he would think.

Not bothering to move out of his own seat, the enin had made his mind, and finally spoke. "Hello?"

"Huh?" he wondered, glancing back behind him toward the door of the house. "Guess that settles that" he said softly, standing up almost as quickly as he had sat down. The teenage leader slid the door open and walked in, removing his sandals out of respect and habit. There would definitely need to be some cleaning in the near future. Hiroki moved quickly, though the voice sounded like it came from the sun room.

It was mildly amusing that he still remembered where all the rooms were.

Stepping through the door, he stopped just past the threshold to look at the person already there. A smile came to his face and he took a few more paces closer before moving to sit on his knees.

"Hey Shigure..." he paused awkwardly, and let out a sigh. "Been a while."

Of the things that Shigure would notice, Hiroki's voice and bearing would probably be the first. He no longer had the semi-cracking voice, and it had deepened to a medium-low pitch. Hiro also carried himself more confidently. There had been plenty of time for reflection while he was away.

Glancing over towards the entrance to the room once more, a smirk would appear on the Shinobi's face. His cousin and the leader of their rowdy team had grow, a lot. His voice deepened to a manly bellow rather than the squeaky childish voice he used to carry. It no longer demanded respect, but was given it. He had gotten taller now too, almost on par with that of himself. It had only been a little over a year, but it seemed like ages ago.

"It sure has, hasn't it?

As he stood, Shigure stretched his arms over his head. He had apparently been sitting there for quite a while. while stretching, the man moved towards his Cousin, swinging his right arm nonchalantly down and extended his hand for the quintessential man to man affection gesture. A simple handshake. "So, how's things been? Everything okay here at the village?"

Hiro stood once more and smiled the whole way through it. The smile was almost a sad one as well, though he looked at Shigure's hand before grabbing it with his own. He held the grip for a few seconds before looking right at his cousin.

"I wouldn't know."

That said, he took the step forward and put his opposite arm around Shigure in a hug. He was shaking a bit, it had just been too long. He wasn't crying really, but he was very glad to be back with his family and team.

"Man I've missed you Shigure..."

As he was embraced it couldn't help but smile. It only lasted for a few moments though, and he would attempt to wiggle out of his younger cousin's hold, frowning. "Hey man, you may have gotten more mature but you still act like a kid sometimes!" He'd yell, even though he wasn't fighting 'that' hard to get his cousin off. "I've missed yah too buddy."

As they simmered down, while apparently still being embraced, he'd look around for the squirrely member of their team, only to remember that she never really stayed in the house anyways.

"Hey... You seen Phyre?"

It was alot to take back in. From a year of soul searching, to being reunited with one of the only family members he had left. All that was missing though was the Fire-headed girl that completed the trio.

"Hm? Nah..."

Hiroki took a step back and let go of his cousin with a smile.

"I just got back to the village too... basically. Other than the guards at the gate I haven't seen anyone but you."

His hands crossed in front of him and he sighed again. The kid comments didn't even really do much. Shigure wasn't wrong, so Hiro could not say anything against it. Though, he figured it might be the best. No need to get completely sour about the world. His optimistic view of the world had just become more real over time.

"She's probably around somewhere."

As Shigure looked around, it does seem that Hiroki was telling the truth. The place looked somewhat abandoned. A year kinda took its toll on the place as the dust had finally won its battle and covered the house with its powerful presence. It would take a while to clean the place back up.

"I wonder what has changed in the year we've been gone... Oh and im sure you know i forfeited the exams last year. I couldn't wrap my head around the whole thing.... couldn't even get out of one stupid room."

The shinobi said this with a smile on his face, though a deep rooted dissapointed tone eased its way out of Shigure. It did suck losing yet another exam, but it seemed to the boy like it was a distant memory.

"While I was gone I finally managed to understand what my old Sensei was saying. He noticed that i didn't have much potential for fighting. That's why he taught me so many supportive techniques. I shouldn't try to be stronger than you or Phyre... I Can do more good in a fight by helping you two."

It would have hurt the old Shigure to say this, but he had finally come to terms that it wasn't his role in the team nor in the village to be in the front lines. This is what had cost him the chuunin exams both times. In the next one he will do what he can with what he has. Nothing more, nothing less.

"I'm sure she's fine."

Hiroki thought about his cousin's statements. Truth be told he had heard little about the previous year's exams. He'd been gone before they finished. It was nice to hear Shigure being open about his abilities, to which Hiro nodded.

"Well, yeah. There's no point in trying to do the same stuff as each other... that's why we're a team. We cover each others' weaknesses."

He smiled again, putting his hands up behind his head. "You going to try again this year?"
