Jäger ached in ways that he could not even describe, and he wanted nothing more than to sit down and to meditate on the days events and on his physical progression.  Unfortunately he had been caught up in this fight, and it did not appear to be ending soon, as the beast was becoming stronger and faster the more he beat it and the more enraged he grew.  Adversely, the more that the shark was beaten, the angrier and more tired he got, and less able to actively act upon the rage that grew.  As the two circled each other, trying to think of ways to defeat one another; the Shark began to back up, knowing that he was on the losing side of this fight at this point.  Sensing his weakness, the alligator moved in for the kill and moved at him with such speed and aggression that he was caught flat footed and as the beast pounced at him, he tripped, falling right under its open mouth and was dragged beneath its soft scaly belly.

Although he had compromised his footing, he had accidentally put himself into a very good situation, if only he could stop rolling over the ground as he was dragged underneath the beast.  A sharp pain erupted in the back of his skull as he bounced off a rock and stopped, causing the alligator to lift its rear end up, giving Jäger a beautiful target as its underside was exposed.  From his position, the strike would not be as powerful, but the iron fists of a brawler were nothing to laugh at, and with a powerful strike, he thrust all of his strength into a short jab that lifted the beast even higher and flipped it onto its back.  Both aquatic combatants lay fitfully on their backs, trying to fight the fatigue that plagued them and trying to get upright so they could defeat their opponent and have a delicious, well fought for meal.  Rolling onto his side, the large Hoshgaki crawled towards his opponent, each struggling crawling drag brought him inches closer to the dazed reptile.  It had not yet been able to recover from the strike and was laying prone.

Jäger managed to crawl to his feet and moved towards the dazed reptile, one thought running through his mind constantly.  The practice of the Akimichi technique he had learned was still weighing heavily on his body, and the thought that he needed to get rid of this alligator before it got rid of him was all consuming.  He stumbled his way over to the beast and climbed aboard, jumping on its stomach and sending a strike right down against its ribcage, feeling the satisfying crack of the blow doing its job.  The creature reacted badly though, and it tried to shake the large shark off of its chest, but he was determined to finish this.  Falling to his knees, his sharp teeth shone in the sunlight, glinting madly as he buried his face into the soft flesh of the underbelly of the alligator.  It roared and thrashed, flipping over onto its side while he held on.  Another strike broke the ribs further, and then one more prevented it from getting back onto its feet.  

Wriggling ineffectively; the alligator began to slowly admit defeat.  Jäger did not want to prolong its suffering, and relinquished his teeth, dropping to the floor and walking by the head of the massive creature, looking it in the eyes as he drew his arm back one last time.  It had been a worthy adversary, now it was going to be a worthy lunch.  The strike rang true and the reptilian eyes slowly closed as the life drained from the body of the beast.  He fell back and landed on his backside, letting the breath out of his lungs and sighing a deep, pained sigh.  He was not going to be able to move much tomorrow, or the next day for that matter.  The pain had rushed back as the adrenaline stopped flooding his system, and it felt as though he had just gone a round with a great palaeolithic beast.  He chuckled, then fell backwards and lay down in the wet sand, wondering how he was going to cook the alligator.

Jäger opened his eyes in shock and sat up quickly, which proved to be a mistake.  His body ached immensely, and the memories of what had transpired came to him like a flood of thoughts.  He had been training and then he had fought the alligator, which was now laying in front of him, still dead.  Thankfully.  His right arm ached like nothing he had ever felt before, and he was convinced that he would have to be left handed for a while until the abuse he had put his right arm through had worn off.  Using his left hand to rub his right shoulder, he stood up and walked around the dead reptile, assessing it and wondering how he was going to cook it, especially since he had brought nothing to create a fire with, and he did not currently possesses the strength to lift the beast.  He could always eat it raw, but he did not enjoy that, it always felt as though he truly was not human when he had to resort to that, and the dark days had passed, he no longer needed to do that ever again.  His belly did rumble powerfully though, as he was very hungry from all the training and not eating all day, then falling asleep on an empty stomach.  

Even while trying to discern how to properly feed himself, he could not forget about the pain of his shoulder.  The Tetsu Tekken technique had devastated his shoulder from the powerful impacts of the techniques, and it had certainly taken a toll on his muscles.  The damage it had caused to the great alligator was self explanatory though, as its chest had become concave, and the hole in its skull that had been the finishing blow was very obvious.  When they said that brawlers had fists of iron, they really were not kidding.  Looking down at his right hand, to ogle the weapon that had so brutally destroyed the beast, he saw that he had not come from the battle unscathed, and that his own brash overuse of the technique had come with a rather painful consequence.  The skin on his fingers and knuckles was torn and bloodied, and the blood ran freely from the wounds.  It was nothing deadly, but he would probably have to get it checked out when he made it back to the town centre.  

The ache of his body was probably the reason he had not even noticed his hand was torn up, there was too much pain all over the place to determine what the worst of the damage was.  With his left hand he gave the reptile a shove and rolled it onto its back, letting its tail flop back.  He was going to drag it back whether it killed him or not.  He did not want to eat it raw, and he could not straight up lift it, so with the one good hand he possessed, he was going to drag the monster back.  The iron fist technique had proven itself useful, but he needed to work on not breaking his own arm when using it.  There was more than just the iron fist technique he was pretty sure, but they were more painful for both the recipient and the user when it came to using them, so performing the basics was good enough for now.  Grasping the tail and pulling it over his shoulder, Jäger pulled with all of his might, feeling the heavy reptile start to move against the grip of the sand.  

His steps were small at first, trying to defeat friction in order to drag it, but once the hard part was over, the wet scales proved to be pretty simple to drag over the earth.  As he pulled with his left, his right arm dangled uselessly by his side.  In fact, it was detrimental to his progress, as every time he pulled again, the pain shot through from his knuckles to his shoulder.  It did not help that it was losing blood too, probably leading more predators to come and try and take his meal from him.  If another great beast attacked, then he was going to have to beat them too, and then he would have no arms left to fight things off with.  It was strange that the iron fist technique did not have a head butt equivalent.  That kind of technique certainly would have been useful for someone in his position.  He sighed and swore to himself, if this was not the best damned meal he had ever tried, then he was going to be quite aggravated.

When the user performs their handseals, channeling chakra into the thin layer underneath the skin, the cartilage there begins to act like a sponge, ready to cushion damage. When the user is hit, the sponge-like manner of the cartilage absorbs a portion of the damage, reducing the damage done to the user significantly.
When the user is hit by a "D" Rank attack, the damage is reduced by 40%.
When the user is hit by a "C" Rank attack, the damage is reduced by 30%.
When the user is hit by a "B" Rank attack, the damage is reduced by 20%.
When the user is hit by a "A" Rank attack, the damage is reduced by 10%.
When the user is hit by a "S" Rank attack, the damage is reduced by 0%.
This technique can be re-learned up to four additional times. Each time the technique is re-learned, the duration increases by one turn/one hit, and increases the amount absorbed by the cartilage by 10%.

Roast alligator was quite a treat.  Jäger had managed to drag the great beast back to city where he had shared his spoils with many of the villagers.  He had been left with a considerably large amount of the spoils and he had already made it through quite a portion of it.  After his training of the Akimichi bulking technique had finished, he had noticed that he had lost a considerable amount of weight; as his robe was fitting quite loose!  It had been a few days, and his recovery had been swift, but he still ached from the training of that day.  The day after; he had barely been able to move, he had gotten into bed and been stuck there for quite a while.  Now he was better though, he had been out and about and feeling quite good about getting back to training.  This time he was not going back to the oasis, he had enough alligator left to feed him for another week or so.

The giant shark felt ill at ease today though, and he was unsure why.  The rain weighed heavy on his soul and he walked quietly through the town.  Things were quiet this morning.  The sun had barely peeked above the horizon, but usually there were still quite a few people going about their business.  Jäger found himself to be the only body on the street for the second time in a very short period of time.  The circumstances surrounding this instance could not have been nearly as heavy as the last time he had seen the city as quiet as it was now, but he still felt uneasy about it.  As he walked, he took note of his steps, and of those ones that were not his, but were following quite closely behind him.  There were others too, four pairs of steps that shadowed his own as though he did not know about it.  If it were one, it would have been less of a situation, he would have turned and dealt with it.  

Four unknown individuals following him in an empty street was not a favourable scenario for him, which was why he continued walking as though he was unaware.  As his walk took him around a corner, he leant back and sidestepped around a strike that had been aimed at his chest.  The only thought that rushed through his head was that he had miscounted.  As he tried to react to the first attacker, he was struck in the back by the second.  As he had been walking through the town, he had not brought his weaponry with him, and the kick actually hurt.  Stepping forward to absorb the impact, he was struck again from the side as two of them jumped at him, knocking him over and striking at him.  Jäger was not a small man, and his large frame was very useful for absorbing blows, but he could only shoulder so much before things hurt a little too much.  Rolling over, one of them fell, and the other kept a hold and was squished into the concrete and groaned as five hundred pounds of fish man crushed him.

The natural make-up of his body was able to keep him from being too hurt by the strikes, but he could always defend himself a little better, especially when he was being rounded upon by these maniacs.  Standing back to his feet, he kicked the one man on the ground who had been crushed, who wheezed as the blow knocked the wind from his lungs.  The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end as he felt a surge of adrenaline flow through his body.  These men did not look happy, and the Hoshigaki expected that he was about to receive quite a beating from them.  There was a Hoshigaki technique that he had tampered with as a younger man, but it had been years since he had even thought of it, and he was unsure how he was going to try and use it now, especially with the pressure he was under.  The technique allowed the user to harden the cartilage within the body in order to withstand more strikes.

He cursed himself for having given up on the training earlier and not having it for right now in this specific situation where it would have come in handy.  Maybe there had been more important things to learn at the time, and he could not be angry at himself for not seeing this coming.  It would take more than one technique to get him out of this anyway; but it would have been nice to have it backing him up.  One of the men who had a metal baseball bat in his hands approached, and held it forward, baiting Jäger to react to it.  Instead; the large man backed off, trying to remember the seals for the technique so as to not get his behind tanned by these men.  Slight recollection was coming back to him when a searing pain erupted on the back of his head, and he was sent to his knees by another of the thugs.

The strike in the back of the head was probably not the best way to recollect things, but it seemed to have worked for Jäger this time, and he fell forward with his fingers entwined in the seals needed to perform the technique.  By the time he had hit the ground, Chakra was already running through his body attempting to thicken the cartilage and shark skin in order to prevent the attacks from having quite as much of an effect.  There was not a lot in it at the moment, as his usage of the technique was quite iffy, and the only way he would find out if it was working, was to be beaten up.  Luckily that seemed to be the place he was in right now, and the beating was not too far off.  Pushing himself back to his knees, the surrounding thugs did not advance, as though his hand seals had made them nervous as though he was going to use a technique.  It was good that there was a pause in the attack so that he could at least try and figure out who they were and where they were from, and why they were after him.  They did not seem overly intelligent, so he doubted he would have trouble tricking the information from them.

A deep chuckle escaped him.

"Lads, I think we've gotten off on the wrong foot"

None of them seemed to enjoy him interjecting humour into the situation.

"How about we all just have a drink, it's on me"

"Shut up fish scum, Morgan wants a word"

The blood in his body ran colder than usual, and an icy chill made him shiver as her name was brought up.  That explained what was happening, and how they had known who to go for.  After all, he was a giant Hoshigaki, how many people that looked like him could there be.  This meant he was in a little more trouble than he had expected.  They may have only been simple thugs, but there would always be more.  There could even be more that were already in the village, and then his ill past was endangering the rest of the city.  Thinking of it though, there were some powerful Shinobi in the village, he doubted that people of this skill were going to be capable of causing too much damage in the face of ANBU.  The only reason he had not gone into his multi-size form was because he was still too injured to be able to do so, which left him with so few choices.  No weapons, no physical modifications that would increase his strength, the only thing he had going for him was his ability to try and strengthen his defences, and an incredible natural strength.

Talking had tired them out of him already and they began advancing on him again.  Breathing in deep, he hopped to his feet and brought his guard up, but he was surrounded.  The first man attacked from directly in front.  He possessed no weapon, so Jäger stepped in to the hook and grasped the mans wrist with his left hand, and was in the midst of a powerful uppercut when he was struck in the ribs by a bat.  The sound was different as the weapon impacted his body; and the strike still stung, but it felt nowhere near as painful as it should have done.  Not that it was much consolation, as his attack was interrupted, and he was struck from behind in the back, directly on the spine, which stung immensely, and sent him forward and on top of the man he had been about to hit.  The terrified look on the mans face as the two fell, brought at least a little hope to the Hoshigaki, who pushed a little harder so the attacked would be crushed completely.  While he was laying atop the one crushed man, the strikes rained down on his back.  The first three were not so bad, and then he learned that the capabilities of the technique did not stretch too far.  

With a gigantic roar; he burst from the ground and threw the attackers away.  Pain stung his back as he stood at his full height, teeth barred, snarling at the men around him.  The man who he had just crushed moaned, but Jäger raised a foot and stomped violently on his chest, breaking at least two ribs from the force of the blow.  He was quite close to losing his temper, and that would not be very good for anyone involved, and the thugs looked like they had sensed that.  Eyes bloodshot and fists clenched, he roared again, making a couple of them blanch, and sending the others back a couple of steps.  Descending on his first target; his hands were in the air aiming right for his throat, and he was intending to rip the poor souls head off.  The man turned to run, and in his near rage clouded mind, he did not think of even looking at the others as he began his chase, which lead to his downfall as one attacked his ankles, tripping the Hoshigaki and sending him tumbling once more to the ground, roaring as he went.

As they tried to attack him this time, he reacted a little quicker than he had done so previously, and he freed himself after receiving only a few hits against his body.  It had barely been twenty seconds and he was running on fumes and felt the pain all through his body.  For wimpy thugs, they were certainly doing a number on him.  The man who he had started chasing had been chased off, obviously overwhelmed by the thought of a giant angry fishman tearing his head from his shoulders.  Then there was the fool who he had stomped into the ground, who looked like he was going to be out of it for quite a while.  That left three of these idiots left to deal with, and he could not lie to himself when he thought that it seemed that the odds were in their favour.  His breathing was shallow and laboured, and with the blood dripping from the cuts and broken skin all over his body, it was very obvious to his attackers that he did not have too much more in him.

Baring his teeth he faced them though, and his hands slipped into the seals of the technique one more time as they jumped at him, their weapons and improvised weapons in hand, all aiming to take him out as swiftly as possible.  Whether or not they were going to kill him was another question, but Jäger did not want to get to the point where he was going to find that out.  As they struck at him, the chakra increased the defences of his skin increased and he managed to block what he considered were the two dangerous strikes with his hands, catching the bat aimed at his face in his left hand, and stopping the broken two by four in the other.  The final strike, a kick to his stomach was allowed to go through, as the combination of fat and the defensive cartilage was enough to nullify the blow to practically nothing.  

Defending was about the only thing he could bring his body to do at the moment, so as they retracted their attacks, he continued backing up, trying to get some feeling back in his body that was not pain.  They looked annoyed at his resilience, but their perseverance was no fun for him either.  Limping as he moved, he separated himself far enough that he thought it safe to turn and run, using the last little bit of his stamina to take off into the abandoned buildings of the Rust District.  These abandoned houses and warehouses were his turf.  He could hide out and sneak around if they continued searching for him.  Jäger simply needed to attend to his wounds before continuing the fight, the three of them would not be so bad once he managed to recover from some of the heavy damage he had inflicted from their attacks.  Moving into the shadows of a large abandoned bakery, he leapt the counter and moved through the back door.  Once in the alley, turned left and moved across the road to another abandoned store.  

There were too many stores for these guys to find him easily, and if they got close enough he would either strike or find another hiding spot.  As he closed a door quietly, he looked about the room he had entered, which was small, but dark and smelled rotten.  It was a good enough spot, and he could rest here for a moment.  His back to the door, he slid down and sat on the ground, wincing as he touched his injuries, trying to see what level of damage they had caused.  The skin hardening technique had worked like a charm, but he had quickly used up the time he was capable of holding it for, which had not ended well.  The wounds on his back remained unattended, but definitely noticed.  As they were out of his reach, he trusted that they were fine, as he could not attend to them, he would believe that they were not so bad, it helped settle his mind.

Jäger peered from the crack in the door as he heard the approaching footsteps of his hunters.  They called to each other, spreading around the complex as though they were safer in their hunt apart.  It was probably the best choice they could have made in assisting the Hoshigaki, who would not be able to defeat them alone, but certainly would have no problems taking them individually.  The sounds of their footsteps quieted as they moved away from his position, and he let out a breath he had not realized he had been holding in.  Their positions had been switched, and the blue shark man was about to show them how scary a hunter could really be.  Even if the shark that his body was modelled by happened to be the most peaceful of the sharks in the ocean, they still possessed the strength and hunting prowess of the great sea hunters, and he was going to use those skills.  

Silence had settled once more, and with one aching arm, he opened the door to the room he had been hiding in, and crept around the corner.  Even his great frame hid well in the dark shadows of the decrepit district.  Cradling his left hand in his robe, as the ache could only be satisfied by keeping it close, he moved as swiftly as his beaten frame could handle without being in too much pain.  After turning another corner, he realized that he no longer had the extra buff of the cartilage technique, and that he should probably activate it again.  Carefully brining his left hand from his robe, he gingerly performed the hand seals and allowed the chakra to flow from his core and into his skin and cartilage.  Very quickly he felt the thickening, and he felt a little more confident about the situation.  

With one hand pressed against the wall, he peered around the corner and tried to see if there were any of the thugs around, and though there were none visible, he could hear one searching the area, baring around and breaking the already deteriorated building apart to try and find the Hoshigaki.  Jäger stepped from the shadows and moved with a quickness that belied his heavy appearance.  Unfortunately, his swiftness was not exactly under control after having been beaten by thugs with baseball bats, and his foot caught a piece of rusted metal laying in the dark.  The metal clattered loudly, and he cursed as the thug turned and faced him, a metal beam in hand, threatening the massive Hoshigaki.  The Goliath did not back down though, and he rushed the man, receiving a strike to the face that sent him off to the side, but was barely even felt by the massive fishman.  This fuelled the rage of the Akimichi Shark, and he pounced, sending a powerful iron fist into the chest of the thug, firing him back against the wall.  

Jäger rubbed his cheek and gazed at the unconscious thug who had crumpled into a pile at the base of the wall.  There were two left to find and take out, then he could drag them all back to the police station and get them sorted out.  Once they had been stricken down by one of his strikes, they were not getting up for a while, he did not have to worry too much about keeping an eye on them.  His ears were open, and he was alert of everything around him, he wanted to end this quickly and cleanly, not to send a message to Morgan, but to keep the village safe.  The moment the gates opened back up, he would investigate the slavery ring on his own dime, and if there was anything he could do about it, he could be damned sure that he would do it.  The rain continued its endless assault on the earth and everything on it as Jäger  continued his hunt in the dilapidated buildings.

The rain was falling harder now, and the sky had darkened; none of which hindered the skills of the Hoshigaki whatsoever, as his sight and smell and hearing were all meant for hunting in the darkness of the ocean.  Moving swiftly and silently through the shadows as he continued his hunt, leaving the unconscious thug to soak in the rain until Jäger was ready to collect him.  His cheek still felt a little numb from the strike that had caught him in the face, and he was quite glad that the cartilage thickening technique was as effective as it was, otherwise he would have had his senses knocked out of him.  Although to be fair, if he did not have the back up of that technique, it was unlikely that he would have entered the situation in such a half-haphazard situation and risked his life.  

It allowed him to get near and to really show his enemies his power when their blows glanced harmlessly off of him and he continued his assault.  The duration of the technique was quite useful, and by practicing it more, he was able to increase his defences quite a lot, almost making weaker taijutsu strikes completely useless against his skin.  There were plenty of other defensible techniques he could use on top of this too in order to maximize his physical strength, but those would come in time, and when they did; he would be an unbreakable defensible wall.  Peering around a corner; Jäger could see nothing remarkable, and made his way around.  He had been searching for a while and there had been no sign of tracks or anything that these thugs would have left behind, they were not intelligent enough to cover their tracks.

The roofs of the rust district were metal, which was the reason the rust district was named so, as the metal had oxidized and taken on the orange colour of the rust that stained the dirt and walls as the metallic dust ran in the streams of the rain.  These roofs normally only had the sound of rain, and the banging noise that he could hear was something he definitely did not recognize, and that was either one of the hidden tenants of the district trying to escape something, or it was his targets.  Either way it was worth checking out.  Although he was far too heavy to walk on the rooftops, the walls looked like they may have been strong enough to support his weight, and he could walk around the edges that had support.  Hopefully.  Placing a foot against the wall he gave a short sigh, wishing that he did not have to worry about this every time someone wanted him to scale a tree or walk on rooftops.  

Climbing up, he could see the two remaining villains conversing amongst themselves, and could not hear their words over the torrents of rain that were falling from the sky.  It appeared that they were giving up their search, which was completely okay with Jäger; as he was not going to let them go.  Climbing up one more little bit so he could launch himself into an attack, the wall beneath his foot collapsed and he fell backwards as there was nothing for his chakra to connect his foot to.  Rusty mud splashed up around him as he hit the ground, and showers of bricks and metal beams rained down on him, breaking his technique and bruising him painfully as they fell on him.  The two men who had been on the roof had been made aware of the situation as the building collapsed with them on it, but from the yelling he could hear while buried beneath the rubble. he was fairly certain they now had the jump on him.

The Hoshigaki exploded from the rubble in anger, showering everything around him with bricks and broken metal.  As the two men leapt to attack him, he formed the seals of the technique with his hands and allowed them in close with their bats, as they struck the body of the Shark.  One bat caught him just above the left hip; right where the kidney would be, and the skin rippled around the strike but there was no other reaction from the shark.  The second bat landed home upside his head, which knocked his head sideways much like the last time he had been hit, but there was otherwise no damage done to him.  Jäger was quite angry now, and was bordering on allowing his raging blood to release, but he did not need to lose his temper to deal with these simpletons.  Roaring, he flung his arms out and struck the two men, knocking them backwards and freeing himself from the rest of the rubble that had been surrounding his feet.  

Leaping out from where he was, he descended upon his first target with a furious drop kick that he managed to roll from.  The kick hit the sodden earth and splashed the rusty mud all around, making the man raised his arms to prevent it from splashing into his face.  Seeing his moment, Jäger drew back a fist and aimed for the head of the man, aiming to knock the man out with one strike.  As he neared the strike, he felt another strike tear him from his target, the metal bat held by the second man struck him in the shoulder, sending him slightly sideways, and opening his chest for more strikes as the first man descended upon him with another strike.  Two more strikes broke through his barrier, and he knew he was down to only two more before he needed to recast the technique, and in such close quarters, that would be a hard one to do.  

Leaping backwards he faced off against the two of them, breathing hard and teeth barred as he held his guard up before them, feeling the ache of his muscles and the protesting of his body against his continued fighting.  He was going to turn these two goons back to front; and then he would have a nap, it seemed like a pretty good plan to him.  The thugs had gained a boost of confidence from their ability to send him back; which was a major miscalculation on their part; as if they thought that they were in the middle of driving him away.  This was the first thing that brought a bitter smile to his face, and he welcomed them forward with a loud roar and raising his arms.  The confidence they thought they had moments ago drained from their bodies much like their blood was going to.  His hands were spread open and they moved around each side, trying to pincer him.

Given any other day, this tactic might have worked, but Jäger was not really caring about what was going to happen to him right now, and he leapt at the man on his left before they had been able set up their attack.  His right hand reached for the throat and was batted away as the man flailed the bat in front of him; trying to defend against his certain doom.  The first attack was fended off by the fearful swinging of the bat, but the Hoshigaki was not stopping there.  Diving forward, the shark threw his entire five hundred pound frame into a heavy head butt that smashed the thug in the face, sending him flying backwards into a wall.  The second man looked fearful as the massive Hoshigaki turned to face him with his teeth barred and his eyes red with rage as he surveyed his final opponent.

The user gains the capability of attacking faster using their speed, but at that rate they also loose great accuracy for they are punching somewhat wildly.

Description: The user sacrifices what he knows of Tetsu Tekken (Iron Fist) for this technique and attacks in a Fury of Blows. Normally a person is capable of attacking with their left and right hand within one movement one time. With Fury of Blows the user is capable of attacking two times with their left hand, and two times with their right hand per movement equal to that of the whole round. When the user attacks they are capable of attacking faster, but they attack wildly, their attacks are never precise and they are not very accurate as well. Speed is gained but accuracy drops down dramatically. Some believe it is best to pin the opponent down against the wall, or against the ground before the user is capable of attacking correctly.
Limit: Must know Tetsu Tekken (Iron Fist)

The look of fear in the eyes of the man was pleasing to the Hoshigaki, and his fists tightened as the two faced off.  The difference between their stance was substantial, as he was ready to fight some more, and the man was ready to pee his pants and flee.  The two stared each down for what felt like an hour before the thug let fear override him and he took off sprinting down the alleys.  As a hefty man, he did not take solace in the thrill of the chase as a lot of people said they did, but he knew he had to take care of this anyway.  Groaning, he began to run after the man, the sound of his heavy breathing being a perfect way for Jäger to track him down.  The footprints in the mud helped too, but the rain was falling heavily and the ground was turning into a liquid and erasing any signs of movement.  

Not too far ahead of him, Jäger could see the man slipping as he tried to turn around the corner, and he dove at the chance, his fists raised and ready as he descended upon the falling fool.  Punches were thrown with speed and power, but there was no accuracy behind it, as the man slipped under the strikes and the fists careened into the wall; smashing bricks and showering the two of them with rubble and debris.  In the confusion; the thug took off again, slipping and sliding as he did so.  Because of his weight, he took a little longer to take off, but he was able to keep the assailant in sight as he ran, following the twists and turns that his target took.  As they sprinted along this long alley, the thug tried to squeeze through a gap between the two buildings ahead.

The Hoshigaki would never be able to make such a small squeeze, but he was not going to let the man go; so he did the next best thing.  Raising his fists as he neared, putting his weight behind the attack, his fists struck at the loose bricks of the walls of the building and everything shook and fell apart as he tore through the foundations of the building chasing after the man.  The screams of fear as everything began to collapse around him was music to the ears of Jäger who did not stop punching and breaking everything in front of him to catch this fool.  The buildings collapsed around them and the behemoth stood amongst the rubble breathing heavily as he looked around the piles to find the thug.  A couple of rocks moved and the piles were surveyed.  

Either he had been completely taken out by being crushed by a falling building, or he was biding his time and waiting for the Shark to leave.  Unfortunately, Jäger had no patience for this and kicked at piles of rubble randomly, trying to chase the man away from the piles.  As he came to one pile that rose quite high, he was fairly certain that this was the one where the idiot was trying to hide himself.  He could tell that he had found the right one because it was shaking ever so slightly as he neared it.  Drawing his fast back, growling loudly as he did so in order to give the guy a sign that he knew.  The pile tried to move, but the weight was too great for him to escape, and the fearful scream he released was cut short as the pile was destroyed by a heavy handed blow.

Jäger had dropped the bodies off at the base of the tower with them wrapped in twine.  Given the high stress and level of security in the village at the moment, they would certainly be taken in for questioning and they would more than likely be 'erased'.  That thought had been put behind him, those slavers may be the only people on the planet that he would want dead.  Covered in bandages and bruises from the run in; the Hoshigaki had decided that he was going to go back to his training, but indoor and away from prying eyes.  The preliminary work had been done, but he had not even thought about the technique; so lost he had been in his anger while chasing his foes down.  The Flurry of the Blows technique from the Brawler style, which allowed the user to punch with far more speed than usual, for the sacrifice of accuracy.  The technique and his plans for the usage were fairly simple, as he could simply increase the size of his hitbox in order to strike them.  This technique in combination with an increased size would easily allow him to hit everything with giant fists.  

While chasing the slavers, he had used the technique multiple times in order to knock them out, and with his rage enhanced strength he had seen the damage that the technique could cause and he was impressed.  Even if he had a calm mind while performing the technique; he doubted anyone would walk away from that kind of damage easily.  As he realized where his steps had taken him, it was too late.  Standing before him, in part of the darkest most depraved corner of the Rust District, was his old home.  Dilapidated and worn by years, everything brought memories rushing back, full of pain and sadness and working his fingers to the bone in order to keep himself fed and alive.  It was still here and in his dark thoughts, he had gone to a place he had promised he would never return to.  The door was still dented and rusted, but it was locked with the same crappy lock he had left it to be locked with.  That was a surprise considering the rampant theft and squatting in the area.  

Pulling limply on the chain, he noted that the metal was practically rust and useless, he could probably even snap it with his bare hands.  Getting a good grip; he focussed hard and pulled two links apart, feeling the strain; then satisfying snap as they broke apart.  The door raised a couple of inches, as it had been held down by the chain.  It was a struggle, but he got both hands under the door and lifted with a slight grunt, and light shone upon a place that had not seen the sun in years.  The smell hit him first, then the feeling of emotional pain as he saw the only real home he knew as a child destroyed.  Tears fell slowly on his face as he walked in, basking in the familiarity of it all.  Having lived in housing in the middle of the city for a long time now, he had forgotten how spacious and lonely the place was.  These days it would have made an excellent place for him to live, and the idea was dawning on him.  

At the back of the place, there was his old dilapidated punching bag, where the seams were bursting and the red leather was peeling and discoloured.  His fist struck it half-heartedly, and it swung lamely as though mocking him.  Anger and sadness bubbled from within and he burst forward with another hit, then he just kept striking.  His fists flashed with anger and the bag thudded and more of the stuffing inside was pushed out with every strike.  The Flurry of the Blows technique burst forward and he may as well have been striking a speed bag with the ferocity and speed with which he was pounding the bag.  With one final punch filled with all of his regrets and fears that he had left behind in this room, the punching bag was blown off the chain that held it and it exploded as it struck the wall.  His breath was hitched in his throat as he struggled to repress his memories and to try and figure out what he was going to do with this place.
