Saruka nodded to Haru as he began to leave. He looked at the blonde he had failed to meet and nodded to her. "It's been a pleasure." He said blankly as he followed Haru out of the building. He followed Haru as best he could, however he kept shunshing ever so often to get ahead of him. This was annoying, however Saruka found a good sense in the excersize. As the began to approach the village, Saruka would follow suit and return to the village as prompted by his application of leave.
Just as Maasaa had tried in grass his first destination in the land of rain was the embassy. It was this place where he could learn about the shinobi of the land. It was here he could hope to find out more about himself. Maasaa could only hope that those older and wiser than him could help unravel some of the mysteries of his eyes. Perhaps then he’d be comfortable giving his loyalty to a village. Grass and Stone had both been unable to help though stone offered more opportunities than grass. Perhaps the third time would be the charm.
Maasaa wore a white cloak over his clothing which contained a world map and 5 stun grenades within it. Beneath this Maasaa wore a beige vest and a black t-shirt. Layers were his friend while traveling from land to land. Similar to his shirt Maasaa wears black cargo pants which have several empty pockets on the sides. At his hip is a butt bag with 15 knives and around Maasaa’s waist is a utility belt containing a variety of items. It holds 4 kunai, 30 hira-shuriken, 32 makibishi, 2 frag, 1 smoke, 2 goo, 1 incendiary, 2 stun grenades and 5 thermal capsules. Hidden within his cloak was a stone headband he currently had no use for. Upon Maasaa’s head was a brown cowboy hat.
Black eyes locked on the embassy it was a rather large place. It was several floors and he could hear noise from inside. Approaching the tavern side of the embassy Maasaa peeked through the window and saw many patrons but nothing that seemed like it would help him. Moving away from the tavern Maasaa tapped the top of his katana’s sheath. Although he hoped not to use it, going into an unknown place made him a bit nervous. Maasaa carried many items from past people he’d met it always felt like he had backup despite them no longer being with him. As he made his way into the embassy Maasaa recognized this area as much more serious. Quieter might have been a better word because everything was much mellower here as opposed to the tavern. Glancing around his black eyes landed on a blonde girl behind a desk. Maasaa hoped she could give him some information. Approaching her desk Maasaa’s eyes scanned the desk hoping to learn something about the secretary before speaking. However he wouldn’t stare long, ”Hi, I was hoping to learn about the village in this lands.”

Secretary | Kagami
Much unlike the regularities of the tavern side where noise and fandom were rampant, the side of which the secretary Kagami was stationed, was by far more direct in all manners of the word. Her piercing gaze took him in as he entered, his apparent dress and the like all screamed foreigner to her. However, it wasn't her place to judge such individuals as she leaned back in her seat, folding her arms and speaking quite confidently. "I am Kagami, secretary for the village that is hidden in constant rain. What information exactly are you looking for?" Direct and to the point, as was her custom.

The girl was indeed whom he needed to speak with. What was he looking for? It would be easier to show rather than tell as he truly didn’t know. ”I have traveled from place to place trying to find information. Some have given me pieces of what I need but never the full picture.” Sending a bit of chakra to his eyes they began to change color to a red hue, two black tomoes would swirl around them as well. ”As you can see I can do this…thing. I was abandoned for it at a young age it seems it was something I was born with. However I’m hoping to learn more about what this is, what I am. If someone in your village could give me information I’d happily do work in exchange for it.” Maasaa’s eyes faded back to their regular black color as he deactivated his second tomoe sharingan before continuing. ”Hopefully your village and I can create a mutually beneficial alliance.”

Secretary | Kagami
Kagami blinked, her eyes gazing at the reddening of the pupils followed by transfixing on the tomoe created. She had personally never seen the sharingan, merely small reports and myths but that was indeed what it was. But what was it doing in some random boy, that was the key question and with a tapping of her finger she began to calculate, "I am certain Amegakure can aid with that, however currently it is functioning under the new Amekage who is attempting to stabilize the country. When the Amekage comes out here, I may have him meet up with you to speak on such things. In the meantime however, perhaps you can answer a couple questions I have. First is, where did you learn to gather chakra as in from another village, born with it, etc? Second is, do you share loyalties to another land?" Easy questions by far, simple and direct in nature, much like before.
Everyone always needed their questions answered before he could learn about himself. It was a trend he found from each village he had visited. However if that was the way the world worked Maasaa would need to comply. The first seemed like an odd question; where did he learn to use his chakra? ”I guess I’ve always had it but my parents taught me the basics when I was young. I had to learn the rest on my own. Once my eyes changed they didn’t want to have anything to do with me.” It was a rather frustrating story but it was his past and there was no avoiding it.
The second question was much different from the first. For his exams he had worn the stone headband hidden within his cloak. Did that mean he should stay loyal to them? Maasaa reached into his cloak and pulled out the stone headband placing it on the desk before Kagami. ”Not too long ago I visited the village of stone. I heard talk of the chuunin exams and they let me attend without much questioning. However they also told me to do well and make the village look good. I can’t quite say I kept up my end of the deal. I didn’t think their village would accept someone who failed the exams into the village so I didn’t return and here I am now. We were tasked to escape a maze and the only real accomplishment I found was that the dragon in our starting room was fake, the rest were too scared to explore the dangers. By the time I began to explore the time had expired.

An Owl!
From the North, a snowy owl would arrive, with a letter held, rolled up, and sealed, in its clutches. It would coo several times, tap gently on the door of the embassy, and deposit its note, hoping that the people inside would find the letter. The bird would take flight instantly, probably trying to return to Yukigakure, which any who knew the village well, would know it belonged to. No other village uses such beasts for its messengers.
The letter read:
To the Amekage, Hail, friend. I am Jorik of Ygnrid, the new Yukikage. I have been informed of the growing tensions between our villages, particularly on the treatment of one Yoshinee Yokoburi. You may or may not be aware that the village of Yukigakure has placed a large bounty on the head of that ninja, but this was done by the administration that preceded me. While Yoshinee has clearly committed wrongdoings, I have begun to realise that my predecessors may have committed acts almost as egregious. If the Hidden Rain were to publicly announce Leaf as an enemy, for the Hidden Leaf has long embarrassed my village, or at least enter unto a coalition with us to combat the Hidden Leaf, then I would go about retracting that bounty as soon as possible, and even welcome Yoshinee to return to Yukigakure, and give to her a tour of the Yukikage Castle. May you choose the correct path, Lord Yukikage.

‘Suke entered on into the embassy side of the tavern wearing on him the black shihakushō and hakama outfit he regularly wore while on top of this was the white haori with the village symbol on its back. Upon his head was the kage hat, black lining with four lone stripes marking it. His tall stature walking into the room of calmness as he moved to the embassy woman, the little boy seemed to be speaking to her yet he merely passed him by and looked at the desk. There was mail, probably from one of the outlying villages and not just that but the symbol on the letter, the seal… It was of the Village Hidden in the Snow.
With a light hand atop his Kyuushi blade that was upon his hip, he read the letter. Listening to the assistant who had spoken up to the boy, “Well that is quite unfortunate of an exam for you sir. However perhaps you can address the kage more with your story as I’m certain he’ll be happy to hear you out and perhaps can help you with the um… them eyes of yours.” With a nod she steadily smiled the Amekage, whom wasn’t exactly smiling at the current moment as he finished reading the wretched letter. It was basically blackmail of a sort, requesting he outwardly admonish one to save another.
Further with what he had done not two days ago, this was going to be even worse on his mood. With a bite of his lip he folded the mail and would deal with it later as he looked down at the boy, he himself being well over a foot taller than him yet to amend this he took a seat on one of the couches that lined the walls. “Son, you are more than welcome to sit with me and talk as Miss… Kagami has pointed out. I am Amekage ‘Suke, most call me Ryosuke or Brother ‘Suke. I actually have met the Tsuchikage not too long ago, trained with him a bit this past month or so.” He smiled, kindly as his mood lifted and changed after having seen that headband.
Maasaa frowned despite it being true about the unfortunate outcome of his exam. He certainly had hoped to do much better than he had. Yet his request was being considered and before he knew it the Amekage was here. Turning his eyes scanned the man who was to be leader of this village. Maasaa had never met the kage in stone but this man certainly fit the role. Ryosuke’s hat was quite different when compared to his but everyone had their own style.
When offered a seat Maasaa made his way onto the empty area of the couch as the Amekage introduced himself. It seems Ryosuke knew the Tsuchikage the man from stone whom he’d never met. ”I am Maasaa although I don’t have a title this headband might make others think otherwise. Like I told Kagami their village gave me permission to attend the exams. Upon my failure I didn’t particularly feel like they’d want me back. So I continue my original search that I have been on for quite some time.” Everywhere Maasaa went it felt like he was telling his story to people maybe he should just write a book he mused silently. ”I have been searching to learn what I am and what would cause ones parents to abandon a child when realizing this thing…” It would be easier to show the Amekage rather than just talk about it. With a bit of chaka his eyes regained their red tint as two black tomoes swirled around each eye as his sharingan activated. ”I have told Kagami I happily exchange my services for your village’s information.”
Post by Father 'Suke on Apr 27, 2015 19:39:01 GMT -7
‘Suke was a man that expected many things to happen both small and big, but this was an occurrence of the unexpected variety. His eyes only blinking in dumbstruck awe of the moment as he recomposed himself, thinking what luck it was that he actually just studied the sharingan and its capability no less than half the day ago. His eyes closing and then looked with a steady glimpse with a kindred smile, “I do know of those eyes, the history and powers behind them as well. Though I am not one who possesses those eyes myself, I do hold information that may lead the way to why your parents did such a deed.”
His own parents he had left, so a partial knowledge of knowing what it was like was enough for him. He could definitely empathize with the boy named Maasaa and yet he didn’t seem to want the capability of being a shinobi of stone, and this troubled Suke. The boy was enough to join a village with that man as the kage, so for him to come here must mean something either happened or that kage was newer than he had thought. In any case, he would think on a few subjects and then look at the boy once again before asking, “What do you know of your eyes so far? Anything in and of itself that can peek your mind just so we’re on the same page?”
A look of surprised was quickly replaced with a smile as he learned that the Amekage, Ryosuke, had knowledge of what his eyes held. Maasaa always knew it to be true that he could find someone somewhere that would know more about himself than he did. The next question was odd to him. What did Maasaa know about his eyes? ”To be honest not very much. I understand I can see other people’s chakra I can even perceive yours. Despite my travels I’ve never actually used them in battle the exams were very different from what I imagined they’d be like. Most of what I know is that two years ago on my birthday they came to me. My parents must have noticed because we went on a trip and when I awoke they were gone. What about these eyes could scare someone so much?” There was much Maasaa didn’t know and this was one of the concerns that plagued his mind to the day. How could red eyes be means for abandonment?
Post by Father 'Suke on Apr 27, 2015 20:00:56 GMT -7
So, the abandoned child was without knowledge of the eyes. Capable of seeing chakra so that meant he had the second tomoe at best, with a memory on how they looked the knowledge matched up. Steadily he pieced together information among his mind and then brought it up to the light. “You can copy information from afar and onto one’s self. This isn’t just by the means of reading what people write and mimicking it upon your own pen and paper. No, you are capable of copying entire sequences of techniques. The ability to copy things is one of the reasons your eyes are sought after by most madmen.”
This being among the few reasons ‘Suke needed information. If he were to clear up misunderstandings or even aid the child in front of him more, he had to go about it with a different feel than natural. “Your eyes come from a family sect that have been stained by blood for countless generations. It is the hunters of your eyes and the bloodstained history that cause a family to leave one’s child behind. The cause for alarm though is that to have those eyes one of your parents must have also been of that family. So there may have been a conflict of interests between them and the one directly linked to you could have lost it all instead of the other.”
It was a more child-like way of saying one killed the other, but he didn’t want to add to the child’s worries. The idea of being left behind was enough to scar any child in this day and age after all. So with a further analysis of the situation he pondered and awaited some sort of reaction to all that he had said, refraining from asking questions for the time being and only hoping to answer all that the boy had. He left out a few other abilities that the eyes possess that he knew about, but most of all he just awaited response first and foremost. It was perhaps the easier route to take.
Years of traveling and searching for answers and suddenly Maasaa meets one man named Ryosuke and so many mysteries are revealed. Maasaa stayed quiet as he listened to the Amekage speak about his eyes nodding a few times. They could do much more than simply reveal chakra it seemed; he might even be able to copy other peoples abilities perhaps he could get stronger that way. Yet at the same time his eyes were sought by the evil it seemed. At first Maasaa wondered silently why one would take another person’s eyes but for a time he’d traveled with a mercenary and even been brought on an assassination mission. Money could buy many tasks he learned early on.
It seemed Maasaa’s eyes had a history much older than him. His “family” as the Amekage called it were constantly dealing with hunters who would look to dismantle those with similar eyes as his. Maasaa took note of this in particular and would need to take care to whom he revealed these eyes to in the future. Ryosuke went on to speak about why he may have been abandoned but that seemed to just be guesses. ”I hope to one day find them and find out for myself why they were so afraid of me. However there seem to be many people in this world. Those afraid of my eyes, those who’d hunt me and kill me for them. What about you Ryosuke? What does the Amekage and the Rain village do to people with these eyes?”
Post by Father 'Suke on Apr 27, 2015 20:33:58 GMT -7
‘Suke hoped the child could find a place in the world, more than that he hoped he could get a hold of the family that were holding out on him and had run from him. ‘Suke was surprised by the question to him however, it wasn’t one that he was confronted with very often and in fact the surprise by the question was seen in his own eyes. “What I do with people with your eyes… Well I don’t kill them nor do I sell them out to the highest bidder. I’m certain in some villages there are plenty such as yourself just hiding, however in the Rain you can probably express yourself openly.
"I’m certain there are more than one hosts to those eyes of yours that are in my village afterall.” With a rub of his chin in thought he smiled, “How about this, I am about to send a shinobi team to do some missions outside the village. I’ll let the leader of said team know the minimum details of our exchange and you can tag along with him. He’ll assess you and the like but overall this can be a trial run to see if you can enter my village or not, how does that sound?” He was curious if the boy was accepting of this kind of trial idea, and it would knock quite a few birds with as few stones as possible which made it that much better.
It put Maasaa at ease to hear Ryosuke’s reply, though if he had intended to take Maasaa’s eyes the attempt would have likely already occurred. Yet the Rain village seemed like a place where he might not need to hide. Did Maasaa want to have the title of a shinobi from the rain village? It wasn’t a question he’d thought about answers had been Maasaa’s goal and now that he’d gotten a large portion he was put in an odd situation. Unsure of what to do next it seemed Ryosuke had something in mind.
A mission with a team from the village? ”It does sound interesting and I did say I would work for the information. What kind of mission are you sending them on? It isn’t to escape out of a maze I hope, I don’t seem to be very good at that.” Maasaa grinned trying to make light of his failed attempts at the Chuunin exams. ”If your village accepts people with my eyes the least I can do is help you with this mission for helping me learn more about myself.”
Post by Father 'Suke on Apr 28, 2015 5:31:40 GMT -7
‘Suke smiled, holding a hand out for a shake and a knowing gaze to his eyes. “The mission will be a little test for the leader of your group. I’m testing to see if he is capable of becoming a true leader and no the mission as far as I know won’t be escaping a maze to my knowledge.” With that said he awaiting the shaking of his hand as they now had an accord and with that much noted he would only nod at those final remarks to bring his hand to his lap, only after it was either shaken or not recognized. “When the mission comes about, I will have the leader of the mission replace the headband.
“You may choose to either to keep the stone headband or give it to the leader of the mission. This mission is to be viewed only as a Rain Shinobi affair, so therefore it is merely a form of formality. I do not wish to restrict you and your rights so the choice is always there.” With that he began to stand, popping in his left knee as though he were an old man, “I will keep in touch Maasaa-kun, and I certainly hope you do as well. For the time being you can train around the embassy and the like, I only ask that you do not damage it or this fine lady may have qualms bigger than I. For now do you have anything else that I may be of assistance with?”
The mission although vague peaked Maasaa’s interest it was a test of sorts for the leader. It could also be a chance to prove what he had trained during his travels. Ryosuke extended a hand for a shake which Maasaa reached out and shook happily. ”I will join him but I think I will hang onto this headband, that village might not like it if I simply threw it away. I did say I would try to represent them in the exams.” Maasaa wanted to learn more about his copying eyes but it seemed that the Amekage had other business to attend to. Did he have any other questions however? There was one thought in his mind. ”I appreciate you coming out to meet with me. Would you mind if I came back with you into the village? I’d like to see the place you lead and call home.”
Post by Father 'Suke on Apr 30, 2015 23:36:31 GMT -7
Brother ‘Suke listened to his words, and commended him for his choice, it would be hard for anyone to give up their first headband, it was quite reasonable to understand. ‘Suke was pleased he’d join in with the mission though, and with a helping nod he smiled while looking to the door. The next questions were off the chart but it was negotiable and appeared not to phase ‘Suke. “You have a choice then Maasaa. Either stay around the embassy area in wait for the team to pick you up, or if you do want to come with me I will have to blind you. I’m a medic and can restore blindness and deafness, however the blindness will be quite painful.”
His abilities to blind someone only ranged in barbaric methods. It wouldn’t be anything life threatening, but he had to make certain that all sense of time and space were out of the picture. The constant rain would mask sound, and ‘Suke planned to carry him, which only left the eyes and a simple blindfold wouldn’t do the trick in this case. So that is why he brought up the possible choices for the dear boy, hoping he was either used to pain in some degree, or wasn’t that forthright to coming to the village with ‘Suke. “Whatever the choice you choose, you are more than welcome to rent one of the upper bedrooms of this embassy during your stay in Ame on my own personal credit.”
Maasaa had a choice to stay in the embassy and train, eat, wait and rest until it was time to head out or he could enter the village. To enter the village came with some crazy requirements as he was quickly informed. Eyes and ears gone for a time as they traveled into the village. The stone village had been easy to enter but the villages were called “Hidden” for a reason. Not everyone would be as easy to enter it seemed. What would he do Maasaa pondered the choices. He very much so wanted to visit the village.
Curiosity had a large impact on Maasaa’s decision. He wanted to travel and see how others lived. The rain village when describe by their Amekage sounded like a very interesting place. The kage was a medic whom could restore his lost senses. Curiosity made him wonder what life would be like if one of the hunters Ryo had mentioned ever got control of his eyes. It was a scary thought that he would fight against from happening but Maasaa would accept. The rain village was a place where his eyes were accepted and Maasaa was confident that they wouldn’t try to steal his own after all of this. ”I will do it. I want to see the village you’d blind and deafen a newcomer to protect. How long will I lose my senses for?”
Post by Father 'Suke on May 2, 2015 12:43:10 GMT -7
‘Suke waited for a response, with a calm dread lining his face he looked to the embassy woman and nodded her to turn, she did not need to see what ‘Suke was going to do. However he answered the question subtle even, “For security reasons, I cannot say how long it will be, but it will feel as though it has been days. When you lose senses, your body has difficulty recuperating and the passage of time generally falls away. A minute can feel like an hour, a day can feel like a month, etc. I will be ridding your sight, nature will render you deaf, and then I will carry you to the village. You will be disoriented through the ordeal, not only that but you will also find yourself in a position of helplessness throughout such a time. However, that will pass once I restore your senses.” He assured the boy, wanting him not to worry over the pain of the ordeal that was to come to pass.
Once what was said that needed to be done had passed he gripped his sword and entered a small stance of the drawing blade stance. His hand gripping the sheath and the other gripping the hilt. Akin to a flash, the blade swiped fast and strong, cutting the eyes from the boy as ‘Suke’s aim was to destroy the sense of sight. There would be pain, but all passages in life had to come from pain and for this ‘Suke did what he had to. Immediately following that pain however, there was to be a rushing coolness over the eyes, as Suke already was sending a healing palm over them to seal the wounds, but blindness was to remain.
With things going as planned and smoothing, depending on the situational choices made by Maasaa and his decisions with reaction timing, the two were to now be setting out the door with ‘Suke carrying the boy in his arms. Before the heavy rained poured with harder intensity ‘Suke was whispering into his ear like that of a father cooing a young infant, “Everything will be fine, you have nothing to fear.” With such words he was to be gone, out of the embassy and heading towards the gateway that led to the village of the rain, which was the intended purpose if there ever was one.
