Amegakure Embassy

Maasaa saw the Amekage nod towards the secretary and it was then that everything he’d agreed to was beginning to catch up. Worry filled his mind but Maasaa was too close to back out in his own mind. Nodding Maasaa listened to the warnings that Ryosuke gave him. Loss of senses was nothing he’d experience perhaps it might make him better in the future though it was certainly frightening. How long would the travel feel like to him? The time change was intriguing.

What Maasaa hadn’t thought of was how Ryosuke would blind him. This concern was quickly answered as he watched his hand reach for his sword. Instinctively Maasaa tried to reach for his own but had to stop himself. Before he knew it blade had swiped in front of his face. It took another moment but Maasaa dropped to his knees as he cried out in agony. He tried to bring his hands up to his eyes but the would be stopped by Ryosuke’s own which were currently performing an unknown technique. Although his eyes may have been getting healing it didn’t stop the pain he was feeling. Was all of this really worth seeing the village he wondered? ”Holy crap this hurts. Why didn’t you tell me you were going to use a sword.” Maasaa’s fate and travel were literally in Ryosuke’s hands as he was lifted and carried by the man. Although he tried to calm him as they approached the village it the stinging persisted giving his brain something to focus on. ”I hope this village is spectacular.” Just to see the village he'd given up his own sight and possibly sharingan.

This particular embassy was indeed very interesting. Much different than the government building within the Land of Fire and much different than the heavily fortified building that served as the Land of Earth's embassy, the Land of Rain's embassy for the Rain Village was off sorts. A most relaxed environment, a tavern or inn served as the official communication point. Having been directed to this place from a local Amarante was hit with the strong scent of beer and alcohol as she entered the place. Was this truly a connection point for a government agency? It seemed to surreal for it to be true though there was only one way to find out she supposed. Moving to one of the waitresses Amarante asked them, Ruri to be specific, about the embassy official to which point she pointed out Kagami as the official contact. A stern looking woman Amarante was reminded of her own assistants back when she was Hokage. Urk.

Approaching the woman Amarante of course introduced herself and stated her purpose as any good person would. "I am Amarante of the Leaf Village, Chief of the Military Police. I am here to negotiate diplomatic ties with the Rain Village." Kagami would of all course have all right to disbelieve her statement however as Amarante attire was lack luster at best. A black crop top that barely contained her bosoms was all she wore across her upper torso, her stomach and shoulders completely exposed which actually showing off her abs. Her pants were a pair of matching black short shorts so short they almost looked like underwear, held to her waist needlessly by a brown belt with no buckle. Her legs themselves however were covered almost completely however as her boots were long enough to cover the limbs up above the knee and partway up her thigh, golden in colour.

Among the items she had with her were the Kyuushi blade which she wore on her left hip, a wakizashi blade she wore on her right hip, and her gourd of water that she carried on her back. Wearing a buttbag she also carried a kunai, three shuriken, a slot of flash pouches, her world map, and a grenade.

Secretary | Kagami

The hidden leaf? First a snow owl bringing a message, then a stone shinobi, and now a hidden leaf claiming to be chief of their military police. Truly was an interesting week this had shaped out to be. For the most part it was not believable yet Kagami had but to take the word for it, since frankly anyone daring enough to dress like that in the rain had enough problems as it were. “My name is Kagami, and sadly the Amekage just recently stepped out but I can always just send a message on out to him and he can get with you as soon as he can.” Of course the Amekage didn’t look too pleased with that letter earlier, wondering perhaps if there was reason behind that.

She jotted down some necessary information with underlined parts for the woman to fill in. The sheet itself was a standard “urgent notice” mail and the underlines were for name and reason for urgent meeting. Once that was filled out, Kagami can send it on out, “I’ll just need you to fill this out and hand it back to me once you are done. The Amekage is quite busy but this way I’m certain it can gather his attention.” With that in mind she stayed standing for the letter to be complete. Overall this woman was an interesting individual just by dress code alone, however Kagami did make mention something.

“Now, the Amekage is of the priesthood, so it may be in best interest to cover the goods but that is just my own suggestion. If you wish to be taken seriously then that is what the covering up is for. We have blankets and towels in many of that rack over there, since it rains constantly it is a good thing to have after all.” Once all was complete and done, letter shipped out upon completion, Kagami went back to take her seat and waited, wondering what questions there were to answer at the current time as it stood. This was by far going to be an interesting day after all.

It was a government agency, only the government could have someone fill out paperwork so tediously. So boring. When she was Kage she just had people keep it short and sweet, that way things moved easier though she supposed she couldn't force her way onto others. Her way was easier though. Filling out the paper work Amarante handed it back to the stern looking woman, taking a small note that something seemed off but she wasn't sure just what it was. She was then asked to cover up her boobies, was that why the woman seemed displaced? Was she into girls? At any rate she didn't feel much like covering up, she liked dressing this way. "If he's so concerned about them then he wouldn't be in the priesthood. I'll be fine." Or so she hoped. With all said and done, Amarante would wait for some correspondance from the Amekage. If it were a longer wait she would move to the bartender and attempt to order a drink, if it wasn't she would merely just wait around, nothing better to do at any rate.

First time using the technique to travel to a place as this, yet he had only been hear just a few days ago. With that much in mind his multicolored body appeared, mostly taking the haze of purple and cyan hues as he came along and appeared behind the assistant of the embassy with a smile to his off color face. Walking around he spotted the only individual in the room… dressed in a form that reminded him of this non-ninja individual he trained in controlling chakra. She too was quite apparent in the love of… undergarment shaped clothing, yet his facial expressions and the like just as before showed no emotion towards it.

Though multicolored the clothing of choice was at most noticeable for what he wore. Shihakusho robe and hakama pants, his giant body of six foot eight still just as apparent as well. Atop his head was the Amekage hat with rain’s symbol atop of it and that was accompanied by the kage haori draped around his body as well. “Hello I am Amekage ‘Suke, what might I do for you today?” His voice coming out clear, among the only actually visual weapons for his spirit form was the Kyuushi he possessed, granted just a representation of a sword in this form that looked akin to many others due to the multicolor feature.

The Amegakure Embassy individual on the other hand was at a loss of words, stammering over herself as it would be lead to only a drop mouth look. Indeed Kagami was not expecting such a quick response when the letter was just sent out. Instead she was also quite unfamiliar with the Kage’s jutsu set and therefore this also surprised her much. She remained though, watching the two, yet still only stammering at the same instance as before.

Well this was a familiar sight. Amarante herself had relied on the Astral Projection just moments before arriving at this embassy so she was kind of impressed. This technique was considered forbidden, to use it so freely meant that this man could be interesting. Of note, she would also notice the sword at his hip though due to the nature of the jutsu he was utilising she was not able to discern that it was a blade like her own, the Kyuushi. She only assumed it was a standard sword. Giving the Amekage a short, polite bow, she spoke her piece. "I am Amarante of the Leaf Village, Chief of Military Police and former Hokage of the Leaf Village. Thank you for meeting me today via astral projection. I've come seeking to repair the relationship between our countries and restore the alliance our two nations once held." Her tone was calm, commanding, yet respectful. She knew all to well that she was an outsider in this village, she didn't act superior to the Amekage.

"It's the leaf's whole hearted belief that it would be beneficial for both parties. Are you open to negotiations?"

The Amekage enjoyed the politeness of her, it showed something he had not expected yet in total it was also quite interesting nonetheless. However, she had noted the name of the technique, and that meant she either knew to perform or had studied in depth the very technique he was using, most intriguing. However, she spoke of repairing the relationship, something of which he planned to do with other nations as well. “My predecessor had left me quite the mess to clean up having ruined every alliance we had in a matter of minutes, making things right is an essential step towards peace for my village.”

He’d only been named Amekage a month ago at best, it was most intriguing that he had been capable of heading through all of this with much familiarity as possible. Especially given the mess he had arrived in, and of course now leaf was here, and that made it ever stranger to be honest. There was an awkward feeling, a presence was near his body back in the village but the guard was told no one held permission to enter which only left one person, Yoshi. With some relief he nodded lightly, “I am open to negotiations however, I ask for the name of the current Hokage that you are doing this for so that my letters or speaking can be appropriate…”

He paused for a second, thinking up what was best to say about the next one, “And what the present status of Yukigakure is. I only recently had received a letter from them to attempt to name your village openly as an enemy or extradite one of our citizens to them. Neither was an optional risk I’d take so Yuki is an enemy no less than twenty four hours ago. If possible, I just need a current status of things for the most part as it is critical to prepare my people for anything.” As the only reason snow would ask another to name leaf an enemy is in fact if snow was already enemies with them. This was plausible reasoning no less at the least.

She felt a twinge of excitement. She had left the Amekage a crumb that she to knew the forbidden jutsu and had some sense that he may or may not have picked up on that. She did enjoy playing games. After having mentioned the previous Amekage and their mess she bowed slightly and spoke of reassurance. "The Leaf Village would be more than happy to assist you in such endeavors. With alliances with both the Village Hidden in the Stone of the Land of Earth and the Village Hidden in the Cloud of the Land of Lightning, we would be more than happy to act as a mediator between village's." she did not return to her original position and opted to stay bowed while she listened to further requests from the Amekage. She found him to be a thoughtful and thorough man, he wanted to know all of the details of any arrangement, he wanted all the background history. She had no reason not to tell him, in fact she had every reason to tell him but why the interest in the Snow Village?

Were they an enemy of the Rain Village as well? Her suspicions were confirmed as it appeared as he admitted the declaration he had only momentarily made. "The current Hokage's name Is Andromeda Omega. As for the status of the Leaf and the Snow, we are enemies at the verge of possible war after they had attempted to enter the village without permission." she spoke without hesitation, she spoke with clarity. She had nothing to hide in this matter.

‘Suke focused on her words, the knowledge of which had twinkled his inner light of thought and sparked something in them as well. Certainly the lands of Earth and Cloud would be interesting places to ally with, yet he wasn’t going to be friends with everyone. Just like snow, it wasn’t possible and to keep some alliances, others were to be broken. Currently however there was much to be learned while she continued to speak to answer his questions as they came from him. The hokage’s name currently is Andromeda Omega and they too were enemies but only for the attempted entrance to the village.

That wasn’t a critical criminal offense but knowing the location of any village was difficult as well. However, he blanked for a second, coughing as well in this vaporish form. “Andromeda? Little apothecary?” He knew that name and of course his little nickname for her. He hadn’t expected her to be a leaf shinobi, and he’d met her nearly eleven months ago. Curious if she even remembered him from that terrible temple of a crow creature. With a clearance of his throat, returning to thought whether she answered or questioned him knowing would be unknown to him presently.

Granted, he’d definitely answer a question honestly with earnest here. There was no need not to afterall and with the possibility of her asking how he’d come by the Hokage in the past he’d merely speak lightly of the subject. “I believe the apothecary I met nearly a year ago was this apothecary whom carried the name Andromeda. Given how unfamiliar that name is in any case, I am guessing your Hokage and her are the same person. Give her my congratulations for that accomplishment. Though perhaps back to business. What of the negotiations, I’d appreciate knowing Leaf’s terms for them?”

Well now she had managed to get some form of interest at least, that was promising, but in the end this need for details that Ryosuke held was probably going to be a thorn in her side when it came down the actual agreement. She didn't realise that he already knew Andromeda, that could be a second thorn though if she were to discover more of the relationship between the two she may be able to make some use of this previous relationship. Rising to speak face to face she informed him of the bullet points of this proposed deal. "I ask merely for an outline of something to this effect: A mutual agreement of defence, if you're attacked we will be compelled by the agreement to assist you in defence and vice versa. In terms of when one of the parties is involved in the initial offensive actions against another village I propose we leave that up to choice of involvement. Further more I propose a freedom of travel between nations for trade purposes and the sharing of information between our two nations. If there is anything else you'd wish to include in this agreement then please feel free to make it known."

Well now that was out of the way, she always found things such as details trivial despite how necessary they were. She hoped Ryo found the proposal agreeable, she didn't want this trip to be for nothing after all. Curiosity was getting the better of her however and she just had to ask. "May I enquire about the meeting between both you and Andromeda? I'll admit to not knowing that she even spent any time in the Land of Rain."

These terms, though most were agreeable they had some flaws. Most urgently was the matter of mutual defense and then also the freedom to travel for trades. That was something he had issue with currently given Rain’s chaotic state. It was more difficult than necessary to begin with and he didn’t like that part at all. So with an itching of his hair, granted it was a hand going into the vaporish motion of going into the hat and itching it, he sighed lightly. “Our meeting was a short one, as I was traversing through the Land of Fire at the time and happened upon her while at some crow god’s temple. It wasn’t much of a visit to be fair.”

Then he moved to business, “Now, there is a large flaw in these plans I imagine will probably cause problems in the future. The defense and offense of this mutual agreement. Certainly the initial offensive action of choice, but there are no words on the other amounts of fighting. When you add the defense, what if by way of chance Rain were to fight against an opposing force, defend as put, but that attacking force against us were an ally to you. Would your village still come to our aid? The point is moot as it appears this agreement is more so about free travel and trading of information. If that is the only point to the discussion I have to respectably decline.”

He was to protect his village, but the lands were just as dangerous so he can also by way of chance protect the outsiders as well. Especially with growing conflicts out there he had to look out to the different parties that were among the land so to speak. He thought the reverse of his points were also true as if Leaf were to be attacked by a future ally of Rain, then that’d prove to only increase the conflict between everyone. This was no different for it in fact seemed to justify the actions he spoke that much more in such fashion. “Is there anything I am missing on this matter?”

Crow god? AMarante knew that person, she had met him once. "Ah yes, I know him. That's all she wanted to say about that guy, she didn't really want to have much to do with him anymore. He was weird though she did wonder what he had done with himself lately. "If that's your reason for declining I must disagree with you for I see that as the exact reason you would want us as allies. How foolish to overlook something so obvious. His reasoning was misguided. "If you were to go to war with one of the Leaf Village's allies then whom would you turn to? I imagine the Leaf, for one reason and one reason alone. If you were to be our ally then we would be a final option before war can grip your nation, we could and would act as a mediator between the nations to prevent something I'm sure neither side would want. All you would have to do would to be willing to hear negotiations to prevent loss of life.

That would be all you would have to do. Even if negotiations were to fail and we would not assist either side then you would still want us to have tried, right? We would not be able to do that if you were to not agree to allying yourself with us. At the very least your alliance with us would serve as a final safety measure against war while at most, we would help defend your village though only if we find that our alternate ally was being unreasonable with their requests. We would be duty bound to assist you in that case, the Leaf Village carries a high sense of moral servitude in that regard. So long as you yourself can be reasonable within those circumstances we, the Leaf Village as a whole, promise that you would have nothing to fear from us. We would even in that instance allow for a flow of refugees to take refuge within the Land of Fire. The benefits for you would be great.

All while she spoke he felt the feeling of being backed into a corner, the very influence of which his point was being torn apart yet at the same time she spoke of the very reason he did not like to begin with. The factor of which was the Leaf were trying to give any benefit for what they wanted but they couldn’t do anything at all in the long run. It was deluded thinking to be frank, something ‘Suke wanted no part of. “My point still stands for my disagreement. If all the leaf is capable of doing is negotiations themselves, then the administrations of whatever side is at fault for starters.”

With a deeply troubled sigh he continued, “A negotiation is to only be capable by the parties of war, to have a third party need to step in merely for the negotiations that were to have failed for war to start, is only a false-hood and uncertainty. You have only strengthened my reasoning for the denial of this pact. However, I do not wish to deem Leaf an enemy, but an ally is not one thing I would name your village as either given the terms of the pact.” He had said his piece but at the same time waited for some more blunders of speaking or the like. It wasn’t going to be sweet words, this was the certainty that has arisen to his mind already.

Well not everything could go your way now could it? Perhaps in the near future she would be able to persuade Ryosuke to start this alliance though in the end it was just not meant to be. An alliance was just to much, smaller steps maybe? It would of course be better to draw some sort of history and allow something to come of that though in the end there was merely one thing she sought. "Unfortunate that we can not come to terms. Perhaps instead I pose two alternatives to alliance?" If agreed to she would go one though if there was not even a chance of that in Ryosuke's opinion she would leave at this point, leaving the Amekage to go about his business. If permitted she would continue.

"Perhaps to build a manner of trust and good will for and from both parties a simple non aggression pact and a basic information sharing network between both my Military Police and the Rain Village? This would allow us to go on existing as we do without hostile intentions toward one another. The information shared would be at your leisure as Amekage though I promise to provide any and all information on missing shinobi, criminal activity, and possible terrorist plots that would affect the Land of Rain that my organisation learns of. Small steps toward a greater aim." If this still was not enough to convince the Amekage she would leave, bidding him farewell and moving on to do her thing elsewhere.

‘Suke shook his head, these terms were still not delightful and he wasn’t going to undergo and follow with such a thing on his own end. It just wasn’t like him nor was it his style to begin with. In a sweeping gaze he spoke, “My apologies but I still cannot accept such terms. If I wished for information on certain things, I’ll happily pay the price by those specifically trained to do so. There’s an organization already out there, and for a price you can garnish most any information you wish. I happily can pay this price without the risk of being in a position to give information even if it is at my leisure.”

So with a fluid bow of his head he spoke calmly, “So with much regard to you and the Hokage, I respectfully decline such terms. Perhaps in the future but for now, this is not something I can specifically agree upon.” Thus he gave his answer, calm and fluid words spilling from him as he said such things before looking back at the individual, “Please have a good day, if you wish to have some dining and such the next room offers that. There’s a room above to sleep before you make your next journey to wherever you be heading. Consider them free of charge.” With that his vaporish appearance disappeared leaving only the Embassy assistant and the Leaf in the room.

A small feline would swiftly patter its way inside the embassy out of the pouring rain. The little drenched cat held an obvious look of discontent as it climbed up onto the clerks desk. It would sit and slowly awaited the opening of the message tube that housed the letter upon it's back. Once opened, the letter would read as follows.

Dear Amegakure no Sato embassy,

I now write this formal letter to inform the village of the arrival of three shinobi. This list of people consists of Myself and two others who will be acting as my envoy. We bring with us support to help deal with the issue previously mentioned and also visit in good faith of our alliance. Thank you for your humble invitations and we will be sure to take care and not over step the boundaries of our visit. You can be expecting us in the embassy by tomorrow,

As the lady Kazekage entered the quaint little embassy, messenger cat that had been lingering upon the table would quickly jump up and climb up onto it's Kage's shoulder. "Hey there little one, so it seems you've delivered my letter." Amira said with a smile as she approached the front desk that was surely where she would be able to gain permission to enter the village for herself and her squad. "Hello there." She would state happily as she approached. "I'm lady Amira Nara, Kazekage of the sand," she informed as she allowed the cat to climb back down to the ground and circle around her legs. "I assume you got our letter of arrival, so if you would be so kind as to direct us to the village, we would be ever so grateful." Amira said stately as she made sure to have carried all her gear from previously.

"that being said, last I spoke with the Amekage, there seemed to be a tone of urgency for our meeting, so if you could hurry thing along, I'm sure the Amekage and myself would be much more pleased." Amira affirmed as she awaited the possible entrance of her companions. If they wanted to stay outside that was perfectly alright. This encounter shouldn't take too long

Isamu didn't go inside the embassy instead he lingered outside under the sky walk and rechecked his equipment. It seemed nothing had been lost during his travel. Sitting down on a crate he took out his katana and began sharpening it. Isamu found the rhythmic rasp of his whetstone against the blade a relaxing sound. He knew he wasn't likely to need the blade on a peace mission in an allied country but he wanted to be prepared. When the blade was sharpened to a fine edge he took out his knife. The knife had a curved edge which made it more difficult to sharpen but Isamu had practice. Isamu thought about the day he had received the knife. The clerk who had intended to open his own throat with the knife had been shattered but was believed to be recovering. Isamu didn't know if he would ever trust that clerk again. Once a mind had been breached could it ever be repaired? Once the knife was finished he slid it back into its sheath on his tactical vest. He glanced over at the door the Kazekage should be out soon this was not supposed to be a long stop.

Masao followed Amira inside of the embassy however he did not do so immediately. His eyes scanned the place and he weighed up his options for escape if need be. His gaze shifted momentarily to the Genin sharpening his sword, the blade seemed to be nothing special and unstained from blood. This indicated to him that either that Isamu either cared about his appearance or that his blade had never cut into flesh before. Judging by the lack of backbone he showed to Masao when he hold him to be quiet he assumed it was the latter.

Outstretching his bandaged hand he would push the door open and begin sizing up the interior. Masao might have seemed overly cautious to some but this was a job and to let his Kage be harmed in any way would mean failure to him. He noticed the cat and noticed that the species was native to the land of wind, his Kage's apparent familiarity with the animal indicated that it may have been her pet or a messenger. The man positioned himself so that he was only a meter from Amira. Underneath his cloak his hands firmly gripping his right sword so that he may perform a Busosen technique to defend the small girl if need be. While the people of Rain are allies to Sand Masao believed it to be unwise to trust them.
