Victoria was not afraid that discussing her Kazekage's illness would make their nation look weak in front of this man, firstly as he seemed a friend and secondly Shiki was more than capable on hiw own. Why not let others believe that they were beaten down? They'd have a rude awakening at the village gates. The man would ask her if she knew about the illness. "I'm sorry but I do not," Victoria said, "Although a Sand ninja for years, I don't get the privilege of spending much time in my homeland -- as you may have noted by my being here." She smiled, trying to display that it was quite alright. She didn't mind being the traveler. "No one has sent any messages about the illness, so I'm afraid I don't know. But perhaps if you were there you could do something to help her?" Vicotria didn't know if this were true, but felt it'd be an opportune thing to say. She often went with her gut.
As the man talked about himself, Victoria would heed the information -- clearly he had loved ones here that he wanted to protect. It was funny all man was like this, except for herself. After this Emi would suddenly say that he needed a half hour to prepare himself. Victoria would continue eating for a short time, but would stand up soon (ready to be on with her mission) and said, "That is fine. Would you mind if I waited her in the lobby or close by? If you are truly interested in coming back to the Land of Wind, then I would be of invaluable assistance. Our current leader intended for me to protect you on your voyage back to the village, where the risk and time will be greatly reduced do to our powers, and I can make sure that no harms you on our way. I can be quite... intimidating when I want to be."
Victoria gave Emi a smile, not looking very intimidating at all with her false intentions technique. She stood up, ready to go somewhere and wait if he would allow. If not, then she susposed that they would have to make other arrangements. She wasn't too broken up about it, as long as Emi attended at the Sand Village. Although, of course, she would not bring him by land. If he did not already know the village's location, that could be disastrous. No. She had much better plans of travel in store for Emi the master craftsman. She was glad that he seemed willing to accompany her -- it was her first big scouting mission for Shiki and felt that she had done rather well. As she got to stand up, Victoria would grab her polearm and move to sit and relax for a while.
