The male lifted her hands off the table before he kissed them. "You saved the man that stopped the bloody rainstorm so he could do just that. I'm helping you spread that knowledge and the burden its putting on your shoulders. You and me, together... we both represent the endless sky. The lightning; sharp, decisive, enlightening. The rain; enduring, cleansing, relentless. Together we are the storm of change; clearing the old and stoic history that makes our people stymied, and bringing together a better, brighter, cleaner future." told Kininata.
"We both need each other to make balance in our lives. If we can find that perfect place, then there is nothing we can't do. That is what it means to be in a real relationship. More than lovers, more than friends - soul mates. Through and through. Unbreakable" stated the young man after he had kissed her hands again.
What he said made the female blink in wonder. She was not the type to believe in things like 'true love' or 'soulmates'. But the connection between her parents, her grandparents plus her married family members was undeniable.
'Maybe Kininata is the person I share such a connection with' pondered Marii as he crouched down in front of her. His jade green eyes were looking right into hers.
"You are the guiding light in the storm to help me see the path to the new dawn, to help stop the blood flowing again. I am the storm that will support you every step of the way to make the future brighter, to share that burden. This is what love is" stated the Amegakure shinobi.
He leaned a little closer and kissed her on the lips. It took about a second for the young woman to respond since her mind was taking in what he had said.
Her arms wrapped around his neck while trying to not intensify the kiss too much.
'Hm? Why does my cheeks feel - oh. I must be crying' realized the Raikage as she felt something trinkle down her face.
She pulled away a little later in order to get her breath back. "Don't worry - these are happy tears" laughed the female as she wiped her cheeks.
"So...do you want to continue this?" inquired the brunette with a wry smile on her face. She was comfortable with him deciding what to do next. The young woman knew that he would not force her to do something she did not wanted.
Besides, they were both adults now. They were responsible people who were comfortable with one another by now.
