To he who had taken the path of Dian Xue Shu there were of course many ways to disable a person without killing them. He inspected the dummy which stood in front of him carefully, each one of the meridian points he learned displaying a bolded red point upon it's body. While each individual point he learned to manipulate was chosen for it's deadliness, such didn't mean that one couldn't hold their blows in such a way to not kill - incapacitation was possible.
"Summit's Spring."
A hand swiftly pushed past the air as it hooked toward the armpit of the dummy, the forefingers digging into surface. However, upon contact there was hesitation and dampening, a great strength bulging out from the arm's muscles to dampen the blow. Even with the blow held a great explosion of power rang forth, forcing the weighted dummy to slide back a few feet. It was a fatal blow.
"Youthful Spirit."
A single powerful step was taken forward to close the gap caused by the previous blow before the formerly unused hand straightened out in flight, forming an open palm with the forefingers aimed directly at the 'short head' of the bicep where the next meridian point was located. Again his arm flexed before the blow landed, his body leaning into the action less than it did before, his legs accepting a degree of force by slightly bending at the knee and pushing back during connection. Again a fatal blow.
"Lesser Sea."
Instead of adopting proper positioning, he took a few steps before a straightened hand went for the final meridian. If his learned behaviors resulted in powerful blows, then all he needed to do was do less. While a proper posture with follow through strained his ability to hold back like this he didn't need to. There was still considerable power behind the move, but there was a clear difference upon impact. The audible 'thud' of flesh against synthetic gelatin was much less pronounced, the dummy merely rocked back and forth and there were next to no markings.
"While on the surface it seems as if this would be useless an aimed strike like this would still result in something near-fatal. . . probably."
