(Post 2 mental acumen)
As he opened it up, nothing happened, which was by far the most positive outcome he could imagine. Reading that the book was called the Mental Acumen, and that it was the fourteenth book out of what felt like a series, he could only imagine how many other books were out in the world aside from the other thirteen that came before the one he had laying on the table in front of him. That was when he noticed the name Linus Winterguest, which did not really feel like a name he had ever heard in his life. To him, it sounded like some sort of made up name, used by someone who did not want people knowing his actual name. It simply couldn't have been a real name, he simply could not believe that it was due to the way it sounded in his head.
Still, there was yet one other thing bothered him about it, the fact that this Linus also had a title going for him. Loremaster. While Hamura could put two and two together and figure out what it meant, he wondered if there could actually be any Loremasters, as it was a name that implied an equal knowledge over all things. Only adding to the mystery that surrounded the strange book, the thought of there being more than one of them out in the world made him interested in acquiring more of them, which was likely not as easily done as he might hope. Given the fact that this particular one had come to him entirely by surprise during an event that seemed to break the very fabric of reality, hunting down the thirteen parts that came before it, as well as any that came after it was likely a fool's errand.
It was likely not going to happen, meaning he should probably give up on obtaining the others. With that, he put his desire to obtain the others into the back of his head, hoping to look into it in the not too distant future, but not now. Now, it was time to see what he could figure out from the book, which was likely going to be worth his while. Turning the page, there was a short summary, or rather an explanation as to why this particular book had come into creation in the first place. Apparently, this Linus person had spent his life gathering all the knowledge he could, binding them into various books that could be used to educate the masses, not just the wealthy. While this was something Hamura could respect, he knew that knowledge was not meant for just about everyone.
