Greetings Everyone and welcome to the 2017 Advent Calendar. Today is December 13th, which means Days 13 and 14 of the Advent Calendar and the theme for today (If you couldn't see the big letters above) Is Gift Giver! Yes, the theme for today is myself! Why? Because I've taken over Santa's Workshop at the North Pole ever since his unfortunate demise. As such, letters that's come in from all the lovely people of the shinobi world have come to me. And with that being the case, I'm here to answer YOUR Letters!

It's another everyone wins event. This marks the halfway point for the 2017 Advent Calendar! Let's do a quick recap, shall we? On Days 1 and 2, you told me about what you did for the holidays, whether you celebrated them or not. On Days 3 and 4, you came up with a lovely bunch of Christmas Cards that can be hung up proudly for all to see! On Days 5 and 6, we decided the mix up the Twelve Days of Christmas (Or whatever Holiday you chose) in rather funny ways. On Days 7 and 8, you embraced your evil side and decided to steal some things that didn't belong to you (Finders keepers much?) On Days 9 and 10, you took a picture of two Snowmen and tried to determine what it was they were doing! And on Days 11 and 12, you described a picture to me in your own words, showing off the writing abilities that we all know and love.

Today, you're going to write me letters! Santa used to take letters from people all around the world, but now that's my job. In this event, you'll write me an IC letter, something that your character wants. (Preferably a few somethings) Depending on what you send me in a letter, you might get what you asked for!

Here are the rules for this event!

Now for the fun part... The prize! The prizes for Day 13/14's event are... Dependent on YOUR LETTERS! That's right. I'm going to be reading through the letters and determining what to get based off of that. But there's a catch in this. If you ask for only a 100,000 Ryo item, you're likely not going to get it. So I'd suggest asking for a high priced item, a medium priced item, and a low priced item. Only a small handful will get their highest priced item (Or at least some Ryo to go toward it), but that will be determined by die roll. Don't be greedy here, but don't be modest. We all want something to better our characters. Chances to find don't matter here. I'm the Gift Giver! I give what I want! But I can't give out Questable items. Now BFSs, no scrolls with summons to go with it, nothing like that. If you ask for it... You'll get lumps of Coal. And no one wants that.

The reason I ask that you post these submissions on the account you want them on is because if I give you Ryo, I'm going to give it before you even claim it. That and these letters are from the Character themselves. Why wouldn't they be posted from that account? As Always, All entries also enter you into a chance to win the five prize packages at the end. Deer Gift Giver,

I have heard stories of your intricacies and your gift giving miracles. I'm not sure if you are real or not but I would like to believe in higher powers greater than the Old Ones. I figured why not write to you and ask for something this season of merry.

First I would like the chance to have lived through some of the worlds greatest histories and battles (event credits?). I lived a fairly short life so far and have missed out on so many opportunities that being able to feel as though I stood side by side with fellow shinboi at great events would be marvelous.

Another thing on my wish list dear Gift Giver is an ritual that I heard of before known as the Psionic Shield ritual? It seems like it would be quite useful but also a bitch to go find. It would be nice to just have that before me as well as some ryo to perform it on myself! That would be a marvelous treat!

I guess since you wouldn't be able to give me total control and domination of everyone I could also settle for an Alchemical Laboratory. I'm not picky or anything about it just yet. Just looking for anything that will get me started on my quest of ... well I can't tell you or you might put me on your naughty list.

Hiho Gift Giver,

This will be the first letter that I actually send to you, sorry about that; where I was before didn't exactly allow many letters to get out. So for this first time, Happy Holidays, I hope you're well. Do try to eat correctly and drink plenty of water, your health is a very important aspect of how long you shall live. Sleep well, and do try to take a break when you can. Find people you can spend time with and who know you for who you are; and like you for it.

I guess this is the part where I ask for gifts? That's a little tough for me, as I don't particularly have any wants or needs at this time. I did make a friend recently; you probably know her as Chizu Moemasu. If I were to ask for anything big, I'd ask for you to get that girl something nice and will make her smile. She doesn't quite smile on the outside, but she has this radiance when she's happy that makes you want to continue trying. Then there's Harue, she's rather cute but I have no chance with her. I want both of their wishes to come true; oh, and Errmanno, he's a funny guy. He has flowers on his arms, I bet his bees really enjoy those.

Something for myself though, I don't have any particular wants or desires in my life; I just want to remain free. Though I have heard of this thing called Sanin; who are able to leave and travel as they please. I need to become rather strong for that, so perhaps if you had any texts or such for some styles; like Busosen or Burēdono Kenseijin. Those would help me immensely since I can't quite leave my village. Actually, quite a few books of many subjects would be nice; I want to learn about this world as much as possible.

Just between you and me; I do have one selfish desire within me. I have plans in my head for what I wish to call my perfect home. It's gonna be a two floored caravan, big enough for all the things I need to get on in life; and to travel around the world to see the sights. But all I know is that it's gonna cost a lot of money in materials and build costs; from my estimates, around five hundred thousand ryo. I have two hundred thousand saved up, and plans on how to make the rest. Don't take this as me asking you for a hand in any of this, but if you so happen to have a caravan shell you're not using; I will gladly take it off your hands.

Hey Gift Giver, I am not even sure if you'll actually receive this letter but I sure hope you do.
This year I have done such wonderful things, for example I travelled to the land of fang and met 2 highly skilled shinobi named Ryutatsu and Shiki who are both really nice to me and trained at their dojo, I also blew up a barn in a hunt that I am currently in.

Anyways the main reason I am writing to you today is because I heard of your great ability to give gifts of wonder to shinobi all across the world so here is what I ask of you, I wish to have a death's tear to help me in times of need so I do not die in the future do to whatever cause it may be.

The second item I wish to have is a lesser tome of experience(50 tp) I hear it would allow me to train a technique a lot faster than I would usually. the final item I wish to have is 100,000 ryo so I can use it to buy a mansion in the near future.

     Hello! I've never written a letter like this before, it feels so greedy to tell you exactly what I want and expect to get it in return. I hope your hands are not too full with all of the responsibilities you find yourself juggling. And if you cannot offer me what it is I want, I understand! I'll just be happy you got to read my letter to you. : )

     Anyways! What I want this year is... good times! I'm not a very materialistic girl, so simply good times would be so much to me. I met a lot of great people this year, and already they're all really important to me. Especially Chizu! And her red-eyed friend, Zeriq? I like him too! I also met a girl named Aranea, and a bug-lover named Errmanno... I hope the best to them! Oh, also, um.. I met a hunk named Vlad... he works in the Kusa tower. I think he's related to the Kage? I hope he continues to prosper, as well as treat me so kindly... I think I might even want to.. well, I think I may ask Chizu and Zeriq to form some sort of team? Maybe Errmano too..  Oh! And I met a beautiful, pink-furred lion. I named him Ōmo! Is there anything you could give me, for him? I don't know what he likes... a giant slab of meat would do! I think he likes zebra?

     Uh! Anyways! I think if I were to ask for something more materialstic, I think I'd be looking for.. a bedroom? A luxury one! Don't get me wrong, I love my grandparents and I am so grateful for them and their letting me live with them still. But I'm almost 20! I'd like a place of my own. Thanks to the graces of some higher powers, maybe the same as your own kind, I already have a perfected alchemy lab and a garden! A greenhouse, I think? All I need now is a bedroom, a kitchen, um... a wash room! I'd also get a training area and stuff like that, too, but you don't need to worry about that! I'm just interested in the bedroom..

Dear Gift Giver,

I’m usually not the type to bother writing letters if it has nothing to do with business, but Mama told me that writing to you is a special thing that can only happen very rarely. Since she wanted me to, I’ll go ahead and tell you about my holiday season. Just don’t expect anything grand, I didn’t have many things planned anyways.

Firstly, I usually have many goals during the holidays, such as training myself until I was guaranteed to be able to clobber me from a year ago. I also strive to become a better craftsman, its my family's legacy to become great Artisans across the many arts, and even if I spend a lot of my time training my fighting skills, I’m not exempt from becoming a renown Artisan. I can safely say that I have meet my strength goal, but I feel like I haven't gotten to where I want it with my crafts…

I’m sure to improve later, but not meeting my goal is quite frustrating.

Besides my goals, I actually had a lot of fun this season. I got to actively participate and help with various different festivals, traveling out of Kusa more often than I was used too. I also meet quite a few new people, like Harue, she’s a little weird with her emotions, but she’s got a great vibe too her. I also finally got to see Red-eyes and Bug guy again, I haven't gotten to hand with either of them for a while this year. It was nice to see that they was doing well walking their own paths. I wonder whose path will cross with mine next?

I’m quite curious to know.

Besides that, I’ve finally found that instruction booklet for my Hoverboard, and now that I know how to ride the damn thing, I’ve been having a fricking blast! Hovering is definitely one of my favorite sensations, I wonder what it would be like to truly fly though… Maybe I’ll find out one day, who knows? Hmm, this letter is getting pretty long, and I’m doing nothing but drag it out with fluff. So why don’t I just get to the point of this thing know, eh?

Something that I want for the Holidays, is something that would further my progress in training. I know that there are various special books out there that well help me learn how to be a better crafter, and better fighter, or just better in general. I possess one of these for Haggling, but I feel that I can use something to help with my other skills. So I would request these;

The Book of War and Valor, a legendary book that contains many incredible battle tactics. I feel that this would be a great help to further myself, and maybe increase my understanding of...Honor, Chivalry, and Valor. I’m afraid I don’t really have a grasp on these strange concepts.

Book: Textbook: Volume XXIII: Survival, a book that should detail many ways to identify plants, animals, and teach my many ways to survive with the least trouble to my person. If I had a book like this earlier, I’d feel much more confident, maybe confident enough to join the Grand Hunt. 

Book: Textbook: Volume VI: Craftworks: Fabrics, this is the book that I want the most. It is said to teach incredible ways to speed up crafting, special techniques I could uses to make my clothes look finished in record time. As a Seamstress, I strive to grow to a level that even the richest aristocrats would want to buy my designs, I can only imagine how proud my family will be if I could truly become world renown…

On a lesser note, I would greatly appreciate obtaining a Experience Tome(Minor or Major), much like the ones the Gods gave me during the Harvest Festival. Those tomes help me grow stronger in a blink of an eye, I usually prefer to learn things for myself, but using those tomes could help improve my skills that I don’t have an easy way of training.

And if all else fails, 100,000 ryo would still be a great gift. I could use ryo like that to truly contribute to my families’ grand ideas, maybe even be able to help out my friends a little more, even if they usually don’t accept ryo from me.

This is about everything I could want, If you see fit to give me any of these gifts, I would be very grateful.

Dear Gift Giver,

I am the hunter of the evil dead and I am asking for donations to a stronghold I am building to give a place for all to fight the evil that comes every two years. It is for my village of Takigakure I ask for the workers and funds to build the components so those that study the arts of the soul have a place to go. I heard of the Senri dojo but people like myself are less combat inclined. A good library with the book lots to study with would help an entire generation learn. Also a Ritual circle or a Training Area would help those same people practice their skills. These would be my desires for my community and my people.

For myself I would ask Onimusha no Taiyoushin rituals would be performed on me so I can grow greater in my powers to face the evil dead. Otherwise I need to toughen up which Armor Plates and/or Skeletal Reinforcement Augmentations would evolve me further. There was also techniques from a rival water nation that reflects my fighting style so well, Nijuu Dageki or Kouu Bunshin No Jutsu. The mists and shadows is where I fight my foes. aster of gifts and plenty.
A couple of years has passed since my last attempt to get some clarifications if the persona actually exist or not. There has been several occasions in which I have seen clear signs of something with the urge to grant people gifts of all its kind, but I have yet to have you confirm your existence. I do however have to admit that I no longer seek your reveal, there has been so many hidden entities in my life that I have realized that there's more behind a meaning than behind a face.

But as I have another few things that would make my life easier, I would once again like to test the existence of a gift giver. The first thing is something I've wanted for quite some time, another friend. Zetsubô has been a loyal companion and I've trusted him with my life. But I've recently felt like I would need another equal, and as Zetsubô would need company of his own race I'd like to ask to be given a young Xenarth Bulette, preferably a female.

My second and third gifts are less important for me personally, but would make a good addition to my professional life. The second gift would be a recipe of how to make a gem called Troll stone. It has long evaded my searches and I wish to know if it truly exist. The last and final wish for me is a covert activities book. It's something I've hard to be useful and I wish to learn more.

If I haven't met you in a few years, expect another letter.

Dear Gift Giver,

It is fabled, in the lands of shinobi, that there is a greater power out there that comes around once in a blue moon. This miraculous power grants a multitude of miracles to those who seek it. Therefore, I am hoping this reaches you, wherever you may be for a have a couple wonders that I seek and would appreciate.

First, I would like the experience of events that have taken place before and during my time, that I was unable to attend (event credits). History repeats itself and it would be foolish not to brush up on some facts that led the shinobi world to where it is today!

Secondly, I would like the strength to overcome any obstacles that stand in my way and be able to deal with them easily (training points). In this life of a shinobi, everyone is trying to get stronger for strength is power and power is needed to overcome any enemies.

Thirdly, I would like the knowledge of a technique that I heard of from the lands of lightning (village scrolls). The technique is called Hikitsuri no Jutsu but it requires Jisei and Gekitai, therefore I would need all thread in order to learn the technique I want. This technique would be beneficial in my battles to become the best shinobi and help my village progress.

Lastly, I would like the wealth to be my financial foundation when exploring particular endeavors (ryo). Everyone knows that everything comes with a price, and when it is my time to pay, I want to be able to pay my dues in full. I do not want to live with the thought of being unable to pursue an adventure because I do not have to funds.

Well Gift Giver, I hope this letter reaches you well and that I did not ask for too much as I just listed what I wanted in order of importance. If you are not just a tall tale, and I do receive what I asked for, I greatly appreciate it! And if there is ever anything you need from me, feel free to write me back as I wrote you.

I normally wouldn't write a letter like this, such a childish thing to do if you know what I mean, but I've heard of the things you do, the wishes you have granted, if you exist and why you do this is still a mystery to me, however if the tales I've heard of you are indeed true, then this letter won't have been for naught, I suppose when doing such a greedy thing such as asking another to just give you something all one can really do is hope.

Let's see then...first off I'd like to wish you a merry Christmas, for it isn't right that you would let these requests get in the way of your own Holliday cheer, I don't know just what sort of supernatural abilities it is that you have that allow you to deliver these gifts to so many people in such little time, but if you can do that I would not doubt that you can grant me what I seek, at the moment I must say that I wish for nothing more then wealth at the moment, 70,00 or 80,00 Ryo should do quite nicely, as I am rather poor at the moment, it is hard to go on missions because the ANBU at the leaf tower are normally quite busy and I find it hard to get approved to go on missions without waiting quite the while, I know they work hard with leaf being the large village it is, but it would be nice to have a little extra Ryo.

I'm not into anything fancy such as alchemy at the moment, so there really isn't much I'd like to ask, but there is one thing I've had my eye on, the Shobatsu shield, it's a rare thing and I haven't seen many people wield it, so I would not be surprised if you are not able to fulfill this request, I don't really know what else to ask for other then the chance to go on more adventures, I'm a bit of a thrill seeker if you know what I mean (desperate for event credits) other then that I don't know what else to say so I suppose this concludes my letter to thee.

Hello gift giver.

I hope you are doing well. After doing some research, I decided to write you a letter. You seem to be a kind person from what I have found out. I would be very grateful if I received one or more of these items on this list.

My first item is something that can benefit many people. It can heal injuries and make people healthy. The item - or herb - I'm talking about is a laishaberry bush. I will personally take care of in order to make it grow.

The second item I want is rather boring. It's a book about gymnastics. The saying "a healthy body, a healthy mind" rings more true than you think. I think other people may benefit from this book as well.

Last but not least is a girl's best friend. Or close to. My boyfriend gave me a turquoise necklace for my birthday a couple years ago. Turquoise is my birthstone, hence why it is so special to me. I recently found out that his birthstone is alexandrite. Therefore, I want my third item to be an alexandrite. I will ask a gem cutter to make a piece of jewellry with that stone in it.

Dear Mr. Giftgiver

It has been terribly cold this year, and I hope it is a lot warmer wherever you are (thought it's probably not...) this year I have been a good little ninja and wish that you're mightiness might judge me worthy of receiving some gifts. I have trained super hard, and hope that you too have been training hard, enjoying the winter time of youth. My first gift request is to help in that goal, new equipment to train with, a combat training component if you will.

My second request is a lot simpler. To carry thing is a burden, but gi pants do not come with pockets sadly. This year I wish to make my second request and assault pack with lots of bitter snacks inside so that I can carry my things around with relative ease! No more dragging all my stuff around. What a blessing that would be! I may be blind, but even I can see the good in having one!

My third request is even easier to acquire! I would like 1 complete outfit that is completely different than my current attire! I want to mix up the new year with a new style, and seeing as i can't see, I was hoping you could help me out with being stylish. A guitar would also be nice to complete the whole new band blind guy look. Those are my deepest wishes! I hope you hear my requests and happy holidays!

Description: Bonewood is a thin tree, with trunk diameters of only 12 to 18 inches, and stands about 50 to 100 feet tall. The tree has a pale white bark and red leaves. Bonewood grows in areas where there are many buried corpses in the ground and can be commonly found in large graveyards, the sites of ancient battles, and mass graves. The bonewood tree is prized for the many items that can be made from the tree. The bonewood tree provides not only wood, but also a bright red sap and spongy, yellowcolored heartwood at the center of the tree often simply referred to as marrow. Your name carries plenty of weight, and as I'm sure you know, there are very few reasons I could possibly be writing a letter to you. How does it feel to be so generous? It must be an experience to be so famous for your one grand duty that everyone who celebrates the winter knows you.

Well, I'm not sure if you have the time for a formal reply, since you'll have many letters to deal with. To put it simply, I desire to travel more easily in the coming days, and I hope you'd be able to help me with that.

Do you know of rituals? I am thinking of the rituals that bend space in particular. I am fond of this world, but I wouldn't mind being able to go someplace new—I seek ritual that let me visit other realms. I'd appreciate a book with a ritual that leads me to one of those realms: Feywild, Astral Sea, or Shadowfell. I know there's ways into one of the hells, but I'm sure you understand that I would not want to visit there.

If you don't want disruptions in the other realms, I understand. Other than the passage into new worlds, I am deeply in tune with light, and appreciate anything that can allow more of it. In this regard, blacklight gem would also be a wonderful thing. Its very presence sheds no light, but removes all shadows. How wonderful is that?

That's about all I'd want. Well, there is one more request, but it's so unreasonable that I almost don't feel comfortable asking. It's worth a chance on, though. The most significant aspect of my life is my religion. I follow the deity of fortune—Listral. I want to be able to carry out miracles in her name. So, my final request is a torso armour piece—a small one I can wear under my clothes—made of celestial mithral and blessed with pious path III.

The query of why I even choose to write this letter constantly evades my mind's grasp. My name is not important, all you need to know is that I am a person who seeks you this very moment. For you see, I am a mere ghost to others around me, burdened my the pain and horror of this world, scorned for reasons for reasons beyond my comprehension. I have regrets. So you see, even as I talk to you now, all I ask for is a bit of your time.

This world is tainted by unbalance and prejudice so great that even a child such as myself is able to see it. I myself have lost what cannot be recovered yet when I heard of you, an ancient, wandering spirit said to carry the threshold of all that is true upon your very shoulders, I couldn't help myself but seek you out. It is said you can grant wishes, I thought I would choose not to delude myself with such inane speculation but it seems I am in dire need of it.

My goal of righting the wrongs of this world is a foolish one albeit, yet I simply request that you aid me by granting me the items that I desire to do such. I desire knowledge and wisdom, the ability to swiftly put to justice the simpletons who claim their minds are as sharp as their blades. Though it wouldn't benefit you in any way, I simply wish that consider my request as it wouldn't truly take anything from you if you did.

One could only assume the writer got into a argument, stopped writing and only continued hours later as a mountain of pressure and guilt piled up on him. “Let’s see…” The writer appeared more focus at this point.

“If you truly exist, hand me an Immortality Stone (201,000 Ryo).” Having been warned beforehand that the fabled gift giver only conjured gifts worth certain Ryo, Zuruel decided to make it easier on him by listing the value of his requested item. Furthermore – he decided to write about several backup options in case that was impossible. “Dreamfoil (93,000 Ryo)… A good second option. My countryman! They say you hail from the frozen north and come to all the world to celebrate the light within darkness, the joy within sorrow that is the winter season! You celebrate the coming of new light after the solstice, and for that I will forever revere you. Treat well the denizens of Yuki no Kuni in this holiday season, they have far greater need and for your gifts and far greater respect for your import than any other people on this planet.
Oh Gift Giver, if there was one thing I would want, it would be a Gem of Telekinesis. I have great powers to move things with my mind as is, but to do so with alchemy would increase my options immensely. I could untie knots and do other feats of magical glory, with your aid! imagine how this would help your contrymen in their affairs, both domestic and abroad.
I would also like the Crown of the Negotiator. It seems a useful prize. To better interact with the people of this world, and those creatures from outside this world would be quite useful, as I see it. It would be a great honor, if I could gain either of these things from you, oh generous giver of gifts.
If you wish to impart only a small token on me, I ask for this, the ability to create a teleportation circle. Such a gift would be of tremendous use to me, so I could cross this vast would with relative ease.

I hope this finds you well. I have no idea how this works but I'm rather hesitant to believe you exist. I've not sensed a sled of flying reindeer and in fact if I have to be pefexrly candid I've never heard of a reindeer that could fly. Today I'm afraid I'm going to abandon my better sensibilities and indulge in my curiosity. I'd like to ask for three cloaks. 2 perfected cloaks of protection one for me and one for my wife. I'd also like one lightning cloak of whatever quality you think would be fair.
