A Hot Mess

"Tsk!" Jormungandr grunted as he stopped his assault 40 meters short of the Shadow Worgs area, pulling back of Sprinkles as he did so. He looked away as his father dropped a lightning bolt down on the gathered Worgs. Jormungandr didn't understand this train of thought. Mother said these things would be enhanced by the energies from the tree, something this simple while it covered a large area, wasn't very powerful. It was block the worgs vision for a while sure, but it would also block their own. Unless his father planned on not fighting them at all. Jormungandr shook his head as she tried to piece together what he was thinking.

As he was in thought he looked up to see the one flying above, firing blindly into the cloud of lightning. Even if the Ryuugan could see through the lightning, it the cloud itself allowed for enough cover for the wolves to remain stealth. Kimi's subpar Observation would not be able to pierce through. His shots would miss. Isamu wasn't much better off, as it seemed her used Loki's words to make a rough estimate of where the creatures were. This was enough to get him the general area but the attack would ultimately, miss the group of wolves all together.

He Alpha of the group looked on at this humans from the back of the pack. His eyes scanning carefully over the approaching Human. They knew they were there, that was unexpected. However, it seemed the lot of them didn't have a fix on their exact location. He glared as he looked up at the tin man appear in the sky above them,

"Prepare yourselves!!" The Alpha commanded as the lightning fell from the sky. As the lightning and thunder cracked, the wolves let out a howl. As the lightning struck the ground in their center. This was not a howl of pain, or panic, but a battle cry. Their coats became even more densed in shadow. However, with the attack causing the wolves and Shiki's allies alike to be blinded for a moment(Yes even the allies, by virtue of having to shield their eyes to avoided getting blinded), they would not see the transformation in the beasts, even if they could see them to begin with.

"Hunt!!!" The Alpha called out again, his voice echoing out from the cloud. On his call, their were snickers as the ground began to rumble. 3 groups of wolves dashed out of the mist and as soon as they did so, those 15 wolves, grew to 75, as each wolf summoned shadow wolves. As they cam out a few would meet resistance from the wall of force, but they quickly changed course and a spread out around the wall. On group went towards the left the other towards the right, while the last hurdled over the wall. The initial three groups of Wolves where already rapidly closing in on the group.

Back on the inside of the cloud of mist, shadowy fangs flew out of the mist heading straight towards Kimi in the air. There were a total of 28 of them. The boy would find that these shadowy fangs would strike unerringly, following his every motion until he was struck or something impeded their route. It seemed the wolves where going to use the cover provided so gratefully by Shiki. There was no panic, their was no bestial flight or fight response. They acted as a unit, and attacked with purpose.

"Tsk... we've lost the initiative. The fact that we had an early scout on them was wasted. Now this could develop into a drawn out fight, and they have the advantage in numbers." Jormungandr looked over his shoulder and stared at his father, that was a poor decision. He must still be out of it after his long slumber. Loki was thinking much of the same thing, as she simply shook her head, "He should've stayed home and rested. It's not just his body that's out of sorts."

She thought to herself as she looked at the mess developing in front of her. Loki had warned them that these creatures would be a different breed than their normal counterparts. And Shadow Worgs were already intelligent crafty things. Giving them room to breath and plot would make things far more drawn out.

"There's no need. At the rate things are going, the mist will clear before we have need to pass through. It would be better to just park ourselves here." Loki responded to Yoko, with a bored expression on her face. She stared at the Army of Shadow Worgs, as the hurdled and wrapped around the invisible wall. It was a sea of shadows heading their way. She wondered how they would respond, after such a poor start. She folded her arms and then looked over at Sekitan's location. He didn't seem to have the intention of making any moves. It was clear at the moment he didn't have any intention of doing anything unless that woman was in immediate danger.

"Mr. Ninja... I'm rather bored, and I find you interesting. Do you want to play a game? We both ask each other questions. Each must answer honestly. The game goes on until one is unwillingly to answer the other's question. Are you interested?" Loki said not poking her head out of the wagon. She had only refereed to one person as Mr. Ninja. Loki wasn't at all concerned about the Worgs. The people gathered here should be able to handle them. If not, she'd just have to do it herself.

The wolves poured out of the mist on the left flank. One group leaped directly out in front of him and the other came from his left skirting what he knew to be the boundary of his wall. The others must have found a way above or below his wall. Still he hoped he had slowed them down some. Isamu braced himself readying his chakra for a charge, but it did not come. The wolves were ignoring Isamu and charging down towards the rest of the group. The entire horde seemed to be streamed out in front of him charging down towards the main party, perfectly primed for flanking fire.

Isamu formed his handseals and fierce line of wind cut across the horde for 105 meters. Isamu angled the line to cut across the horde and terminate twenty meters to the left of the main party. For anyone in the main party facing the electric mist it would terminate to their right. As soon as the the burst of wind reached its terminus it dissipated into nothing. Anything hit by the line of wind would take 75 AP of damage and have to make a DC 30 Fortitude save or be knocked prone.

Isamu was not content to wait and see how the wolves reacted and he immediately formed another set of handseals. Wind screamed out from Isamu in a 37 meter long cone hitting any worgs in its path. The cone was angled towards the main party so that it could encapsulate as many of the worgs as possible. Isamu was 34 meters from the left flank of the fog so his technique wouldn't threaten the group or disperse the mist. Any worgs in the cone would take 55 AP of damage, half of which was sonic, and need to pass a DC 30 fortitude save or be deafened for 1d4+1 rounds.

Isamu set his feet, forming one last set of handseals with his left hand. Isamu held the last technique, ready to release it at a moment's notice. Hopefully his attacks would draw off some of the horde, if not it was time for the rest of the party to show what they could do.

Description: Range of this technique is 7 meters + 6 meters per Class Level. Duration of this technique is instantaneous. Area of effect is cone-shaped burst. The user sends an ear-splitting blast of wind that deafens and damage creatures in its path. Any creature within the area of effect must make a Fortitude save to avoid being deafened for 1d4+1 rounds and suffers 11 Armour Points of damage per Class Level, half of which is sonic, the other half bludgeoning. Any exposed brittle or crystalline object takes 30 Armour Points of damage per Class Level of the user.

Wings of Flurry prepped

Kimi hadn’t had a chance to activate his Ice Mirrors, which through off his plans a bit. Now he had a group of words headed straight for him. It wasn’t that bad he could handle a few and it was time he stepped up and showed what he could do. This wouldn’t change his plans overly much, he just had to adjust them. So he would prepare two Jutsu, well one but cast with both hands so it was double casting.

He quickly made the Handseals for the Snow Globe Jutsu, though he would release them straight away. He would actually wait until they were about to strike him and he would release the first one. This would create three seconds of complete invulnerability for himself. He would then fly straight up and activate the second one, again providing him three seconds of invulnerability. He would stay inside this new Globe and would cast another Jutsu.

This would be the Black Dragon Snowstorm Jutsu. Since they were centered on him he would be able to target all of them or at least most of them with this Jutsu. It would be able to cover 37 meters from his point. He would let it reach down to the ground and stop there, this would hopefully catch any running through the area. He knew this wouldn’t do a lot of damage but he would have them slowed and hurt.

He would need to do more than just slow and hurt them, he needed to end them. If he had the time the would actually cast his Demon Ice mirrors around the group. He knew that they could fly out so he cast a wall of wood from his left hand at the same time. He would use the sphere version of the wall and he would anchor it to the bottom of the Dome. This would allow him to completely surround the Mirror some, as he was sealing the sphere he would drop into the mirrors and appear to be in all of them. Since his Sphere was actually an Orchid it would allow a little light through so he could see.

Snow Globe

Description: Area of effect of this technique is 6 meter radius centered on the user. Duration of this technique is until discharged. User creates a protective globe of ice with a 6 meter radius burst centered on the user that protects the user with a 5 hardness and 60 Armour Points per Class Level. Upon Activation, the globe is invulnerable for 1 second per Class Level (Maximum 3 seconds). Incoming damage that is absorbed during the invulnerability period is converted into Armour Points and added to the globe's health. Upon activation, with a failed Fortitude save, Snow Globe freezes enemies within its radius over a duration of 1 round while violently pushing them out of the range of the globe. Enemies and allies can enter and leave the globe freely. Enemies that enter the globe will have their movements and attack damage reduced by 40% + 5% per Class Level. All physical damaging attacks are blocked by the globe. Multiple Snow Globes may be performed, however a maximum of 4 separate Snow Globes can be performed at any given time. Performing Snow Globe after reaching the maximum will remove the oldest globe. Performing Snow Globe while inside an existing Snow Globe will remove the older Globe and combine the total remaining Armour Points value of both Globes for the newer one. The invulnerability is reactivated for each performing. User may destroy Snow Globe, doing so triggers an icy explosion that deals 1/2 of the total Armour Points of Snow Globe health in cold Damage.

Description: Range of this technique is 30 meters + 15 meters per Class Level. User creates an anchored plane of wood up to 15 meter square per Class Level, or spherical of wood with the radius of up to 7 meters per Class Level. Duration of this technique is 5 minutes per Class Level. This Jutsu creates an anchored plane of wood or a sphere of wood, depending on the version selected. A wall of wood cannot form in an area occupied by physical objects or creatures. Its surface must be smooth and unbroken when created. Fire, including a fireball Jutsu and Fire breath, can burn a wall of wood, and it deals full damage to the wall. Suddenly burning a wall of wood creates a great cloud of ash that lasts for 10 minutes.
Wood Plane: A sheet of strong, hard wood appears. The wall is 5 inches thick per Class Level. The plane can be oriented in any fashion as long as it is anchored. A vertical wall need only be anchored on the floor, while a horizontal or slanting wall must be anchored on two opposite sides. The wall is primarily defensive in nature and is used to stop pursuers from following the user and the like. Each 3-meter square of wall has 10 Armour Points per inch of thickness. A section of wall whose Armour Points drop to 0 is breached.
Sphere: The hemisphere is as hard to break through as the wood plane form, but it does not deal damage to those who go through a breach.

Ryuugan (Dragon Eye)

Effect: The power of the Ryuugan Doujutsu is unleashed, allowing the user to see the elements of Lightning, Air, and Water up to a certain distance and increase general seeing distance of one's eyes.

Drawback: Cannot see out of natural line of sight, takes a negligible amount of Chakra to maintain. Cannot pierce Genjutsu
Description: The second stage of the Kazeraikou Doujutsu forces a temporary change of the user's eyes. The iris and pupil of the eye become one and change to a color decided at the first awakening depending on their mood. The color is like a cloud and swirls around the user's eye when looking around. Small lines of white will flash across the eyes like lightning bolts and continually do so as long as the eye is active. Also a slight glow of the eyes illuminate in the dark at this point. With the second stage of the Ryuugan Doujutsu unleashed, it allows the user to see the elements of Lightning, Air, and Water up to one's viewing parameters. One's natural sight is also enhanced giving the capability of 4x zoom capabilities. The user sees the elements as three new, vibrant, and opaque colors that mesh perfectly with their normal vision, giving the user the ability to see the three elements without hindering their normal vision in the slightest. Of course normal vision can hinder this special sight, as the user cannot see through walls or other things as normal.

Effect: A multi-purpose technique. User creates dragon like wings to fly that can then be used as an attack, or to block view.

Description: Duration of this technique is 5 rounds per Class Level or until expended. Hazy wings of mist form at the user's sides, bearing the user aloft. At the user's command, the wings transform into a great blast of wind or a cloud of fog. When the user performs this Jutsu a large set of mist wings—resembling those of a dragon of the user's choice—form on their back. The user can fly with good maneuverability. As a Weaving movement, the user can choose to transform the wings into 1 of the 2 effects given below. In either case, doing this immediately ends the Jutsu's duration (if the user is flying when this occurs, the user will fall).

Skulking Shinzu

[Skulking Shinzu]

“You’re rather observant, Sekitan.” Zuruel paused to glance over the silver-haired man. Much like himself, Sekitan seemed to have a habit of studying others with his emerald eyes. Though unlike himself, Sekitan’s analytical gaze seemed to linger over members of the group with much more intensity and curiosity. The man was clearly studying everyone. However, the reason as to why completely eluded the Kedoin. Either way, there wouldn’t be much time to ponder over the matter any further. Not when Emi was so skilful at stealing away his attention. “You’re not wrong Emi. Let’s hang back. I don’t want to run ahead, only for a certain emerald-eyed fiend to size up our asses from behind.” Zuruel didn’t bother glancing towards Sekitan after uttering the comment. However, a mischievous grin did stretch itself across his pale face after the final few words to show that he had spoken in nothing more than innocent jest.

“As for you fools… Are you just going to sit on that wagon all day?” Zuruel’s mismatched eyes fell upon the merry band of weirdos that had chosen to remain on the contraption instead of leaping into a battle-ready stance. Unlike with Sekitan, Zuruel’s tone carried no sense of amusement or playfulness this time. Partly because their laziness disgusted him, but also partly because his feet ached from the long walk, which had left him a tad jealous of their foresight to not travel all this distance by foot. Sighing sharply, he attempted to exhale the animosity he felt before focusing his attention back on the large cloud of electrified dust and smoke whilst gripping his Grimoire tightly. Hunt. Hopefully the loud command was detected by Zuruel’s enhanced sense of hearing that spanned a 70m radius. Focusing, he attempted to pinpoint the origin of the sound despite the distance between him and the wolves, and then subsequently, the heartbeat signature of the creature that had yelled the word if at all possible from this range.

From his knowledge of the creatures, Zuruel knew that Shadow Worgs were capable of conjuring shadowy clones of themselves into existence. If any such beings wandered into clear range of his hearing, then he’d attempt to analyse their sound signatures. He wondered if the clones breathed or even possessed a heartbeat. If not and they were essentially lifeless, then perhaps identifying the originals would be a simple feat. Of course, if hearing failed him, then Zuruel still had other tricks up his sleeve, including his azure eye which was actually a Blue Eyed Gem. Shutting his mundane crimson eye, the Kedoin attempted to peer into any approaching Worgs while utilising the eye’s ability of Chakra Detection to see if he could differentiate between creatures possessing a Chakra network, and clones comprised entirely of Chakra itself.

Description: Bards are around sounds constantly and all their training in the musical arts hones their hearing. They are capable of further training their ability to hear to allow them to listen and precisely pinpoint the location a sound is coming from as long as it is within ten meters of themselves. They can continue to train their ability to pinpoint the location of a sound to increase the distance it can be pinpointed from by ten meters each time, capping off at fifty meters.

Description: The user interprets sound waves emitted by opponent. By understand the sound waves created by walking, breathing, heartbeat, etc. The user is able to gauge their enemy’s bodily specification, such as their height, weight, muscle mass, etc. until they have literally gathered an extremely accurate ‘picture’ of the person with sound. This also allows them to sense fluctuations within breathing, heart rate, pulse which can help the bard know how tired or ill a specific person is. This is extremely useful in gathering information on opponents before ever encountering them. This jutsu can also be used to retrieve information on multiple opponents as well, when first learned they can discern the information of ten opponents, this can be retrained for an additional ten people each time with the maximum of one hundred. Each time this skill is learned it also gives a 3% chance of discerning if an opponent is telling a lie, with a maximum of thirty percent.

Description: Equipment Type: Slotless. The star sapphire is a rare and beautiful gemstone. Many people have been fascinated by the star pattern on the gems, and many alchemists attempted to unlock the alchemy within the stone. They knew that the stones alchemy would only be harnessed if the star pattern was preserved, but all attempts failed to harness any alchemy. Inspiration finally came to one alchemist whose name has been lost to history. This alchemist realized that the full potential of the gem could not be harnessed until a sacrifice was made. With excruciating pain, the alchemist removed one of his eyes and placed the cut star sapphire in the still bleeding socket. The gem settled into place and the blood stopped flowing while the skin settled around the gem, holding it in place. At first the alchemist had no vision out of the new eye, but after a while his vision returned, though slightly changed, as he was now able to discern Chakra auras around people and objects. To harness the alchemy of the star sapphire, a high quality gem must be cut into a slightly elongated sphere about the shape of an eye. Once cut, the gem must be placed into an unoccupied eye socket of a living creature. The person is blinded in the new eye for 10 minutes, but thereafter the person is able to see normally as if he had two eyes. In addition, the new eye is able to see Chakra auras. This ability acts as Detect Chakra, and the user must activate the technique Detect Chakra. With concentration to activate the eye the person is able to discern chakra auras within sight, knowing the strength and location of the aura. User gains a +25 Alchemical Bonus to Jutsu Lore when identifying Jutsus and Effects. User is not able to identify any Chakra items. There are two side effects to the gem. One is seeing the world with a slight blue tint. This does not affect any vision other than causing everything to look slightly blue. Second, both of the user's eyes constantly glow with a blue light, whether the blue eyed gem is active or not. This can be disconcerting to some people, so you receive a +10 equipment bonus to Intimidate skill checks.

"Heyyyy they can talk! Das pre' neat."

The wine was starting to go to my head already, despite how little time had passed. Damn that was the good stuff. But even then I was at least able to differentiate the voice of the talking warg versus everyone else I'd chatted with today.

I poked my head out of carriage and looked around. Shiki Senri looked a bit worse for wear for some reason. I frowned at that, I didn't like seeing my friend diminished like that. I'd have to talk to him later and see what was wrong. Everyone else seemed basically okay, but the jester was asking for backup. Well, it was only good manners to comply so I climbed out to join him, my mirror orbiting passively around me. I rotated my shoulder and stretched out my legs as I walked, flexing the kinks out of my body. His presence still put me wierdly on edge, which I tried not to show too much. At least it helped clear the fog from my mind. I stood about two meters from the jester, so that I wouldn't need to invade his space or risk bonking him with my mirror.

"M' helpin'. HEYYYY!! YA C'N TALK!! YA WANNA TALK INSTEAD'A FIGHTIN'?"

Diplomacy was my job, so obviously that would be how I started with any intelligent creature. If that wasn't going to be an option though...well, I could deal with that too. I may not be particularly powerful, but I had methods of defending myself.

My Spirit Origin Core warmed up, raising my body temperature as I took in just a fraction of the excessive amounts of Od in the air and processed it with my Prana, flooding my Magic Circuits with usable Mana.

Sekitan heard the words uttered from Zuruel to him, over one shoulder, having noticed him even from behind. Quite formidable indeed. Sekitan merely offered the jester a shrug however, although a little grin did play on his lips, an appreciation for someone who also possessed power. As the Jester turned to the Hoshigaki, Emi was the name, Sekitan noticed that this Zuruel was easily pulled from anything he was doing by the boy. Even making talk with a potential friend or foe. The comment brought on a short bark of a laugh however, the one from Zuruel and not the obvious information from Emi, the Hoshigake. “Indeed. It would be uncouth of you to allow my eyes to linger.” Juniper spoke to him, relaying information that Kahimi was too far ahead and he certainly agreed. “Juniper,” he began in a lower voice, “please assist the Kage in survival.”

He had heard the words of their guide from the wagon, which meant that it had been a bit of shout, considering the distance he was from the wagon and the tarp that was between them. Regardless, he had heard the words and his curiosity began to build. Not a bad bit of sport. Perhaps I should indulge her, if only to get some more information for myself as well. Knowing that he was leaving Kahimi in good hands with Juniper, he would make his way to the wagon, mentioning that he had some business to accomplish before he could strike at the beasts he could not even see. With ease, his booted left found purchase on the tail of the wagon, lifting him up and bringing him inside, wary of the large blue bird that was upon the tarp frequently relieving itself, without it having eaten since the last. A strange thing.

Making his way to the seat that was now empty across from Loki, as the drunken fox had left the wagon, he would make himself as comfortable as he could on the bench. Cold eyes fell upon the guide, studying her for a moment, assessing if anything was different. Nothing was. “Hello again, Guide,” he began, watching her intently for the moment, “I believe you get to begin this game by asking a question of me, since you asked me over.”

Sabo yawned, his journey was mildly long. He had enough stamina to make it there before everyone actually left him. From the sound of fighting he heard, he was sure to at least know they wouldn't be going there that quickly. Some time of walking had past and he had eventually made it to where all the participants of this mission was at, many meters off the worgs of course. He began to scratch his head in somewhat of frustration as he asked himself 'What's going on here?' The one who was flying earlier was now being troubled by those worgs, Sabo was at the back of everyone so he got a good view of his surroundings.

He watched as the boy would perform ice release Jutsu 'Fluent' He muttered, as he didn't know that much ninjutsu himself, the red-haired boy seemed to be very efficient. 'What else was going on?' He wondered as he lighted a cigarette in quick succession and blowing off at medium length intervals. [Assuming the wagon wasn't covered] He would turn his attention over to the wagon, the white-haired man had got in there and now engaged in conversation with the guide.

Sabo stood in his spot, wondering if any worgs were going to target him. 'Scary' He murmured  as he watched the fights go on before him.

Increased threat

A

s the Hoshigaki had been looking into the same direction of the wolfs with his inner eye for a few seconds, he had started to feel a distinct difference in between the individuals of the pack. So when they suddenly grew explosively in numbers, Emi immediately suspected some kind of illusion. More chakra wouldn't simply just appear out of nowhere. What had him concerned however was the fact that they could still have the ability to injure the humans and that so many of the humans were inactive. The lazyness annoyed him, and when the observer also hid in the wagon, Emi just sighed. He hadn't joined the mission to be the fifty percent that did all the work.

Why do we even bother fighting this group when we just as well could've went past it?

To be a group of ninjas it was strange that they even had created such a ruckus. But as some of them were already in trouble, he felt that he couldn't just abandon them, especially since their chances of success increased the more people they brought.

Let's not put too much into this battle, but I'll see if I can slow down the ones to the right.

Emi said and immediately began to perform a rapid series of seals before placing his hands on the ground and sending some of his chakra into it. There were still quite a few meters to the nearest wolves, so they had the opportunity to do some long ranged tactical maneuvers. As he had decided upon the right group, Emi focused his technique to the front most wolf in that pack. Luckily they were all running tightly in the group, making him believe that he could hit all of them.

Description: Range of this technique is 120 meters + 60 meters per Class Level. Area of effect is 6 meter radius spread. Duration of this technique is 10 rounds. This technique requires a huge source of earth nearby. The ground within 10 meters of the point the user designates turns to a filthy and slippery muck, drawing all those in the area down into a watery death. Creatures within the area all gain the entangled condition. Entangled creatures can attempt to break free as a move movement, making a Break Check. The entire area of effect is difficult terrain while the effect lasts, and all creatures within it are flat-footed. The depth of the muck grows deeper each round, and some creatures may find it impossible to escape. In round 1, creatures within the area of effect sink to about 1 meter deep unless they leave the area of the Jutsu. In round 2, the earthen maw draws all Small creatures under the surface, possibly drowning them. In round 3, the maw pulls all Medium or larger creatures under, possibly drowning them. In round 4, all Large creatures are pulled under the surface of the muck, possible drowning them. This continues until Titan Size. Creatures still stuck in the earthen maw at the end of round 10 are sealed in as the ground returns to solid form—however, creatures sunken into the ground do not take direct damage. Escaping from the earth, stone, forest roots, or other material requires digging or help from others, and creatures trapped this way are often easy prey.

Still, events continued to unfold around her, the ever-present mist negatively impacted her vision, but this likely held-true for the worgs as well. If this was the case then their fore-planning was likely inhibited as well. Still, it seemed that there was a variety of ways that she could approach this combat encounter, the first and her preferred method of sneaking past the creatures or peacefully talking to them was seemingly off the table on account of this pre-emptive strike; still, that did not seem to stop the coven member from attempting some form of dialogue? An interesting approach, that seemed unlikely to work, still, this was the role that the fox specialised in so there was always a chance.

For the time being, however, Yoko elected to take some form of defensive action herself, standing to her feet and adjusting herself so that she held a position on the centre line of the wagon, standing at the back hidden from view by the shadows. From this position she readied an action with her bow, nocking two arrows that she intended to fire at anything that advanced through the mist after a short period to confirm the target, such an action allowed her to strike up to two targets if they presented themselves.

An Even Hotter Mess

As seemingly 75 wolves came out of the left side of the smoke around Isamu's wall, 75 more came out of the right side, each side was curving around the surround the party. As the wind blasted the wolves that were exiting from the left. The power of the wind, instantly destroyed 60 of the worgs, revealing the to be nothing more than shadow summon copies. The of the worgs themselves, they took the brunt of the winds attacks, not seeming to surfer much from the damage that it inflicted.

Of the 15 present even 6 of them managed to bare the power of the wind, and continue their charge. Giving out a faint howl as they continued, on their path to surround the main group. The other 11, tumbled to the ground being knocked prone, but were able to quickly gather themselves and quickly spring back into action. The sounds of annoyed snarls and growls, were the only real reaction that Isamu would receive from them. As Isamu sent out his second attack, it would not connect with the worgs, but instead with a wall of earth that erected itself, in front of him.

The one in the air seemed to use his ice to encase some imaginary group of monsters he had seen, since none of the worgs had taken flight, or were heading towards Kimi. It seem the thrill of battle had caused him to see things. He wasted a good amount of chakra to en-capsule the air. The 75 wolves that sprang from the right side of the mist, looked up at him, and let out a confused sounding howl, not really knowing what to make of what they were seeing.

The right group were given a start as the ground in front of them began to quickly change to a muck filled nightmare, several of the shadowy worgs copies went into the much before disappearing, while the 2 real ones where trapped within. The other sprang over the muck, as one of them gave out a series of wailing howls. After those howls were sound, the ground that was mucked filled, began to move, as the earth itself was displaced, and the worgs trapped inside were ejected. After landing on their feet, wood began to grow over the much making a platform, fro the other Worgs that followed behind, to easily traverse.

"Yes!!! You got a problem with it you sack of crap?! Then come tell this Princess to her face!" Loki shouted out of the wagon, in response to Zuruel's question. What was the purpose of having him as a familiar, if not for this exact reason? Why would she and her sisters fight, if they had familiars to do it for them? Ridiculous. Loki then rolled her eyes as she saw the drunk Kurama, stumbling out of the wagon.

She raised an eyebrow as she wondered if the Wolves would even be able to hear her from this distance, even if they did she wondered if they would even care to listen.

"YOU ATTACKED US FIRST!!! NOW YOU WISH TO TALK?! WHAT DO YOU POSSIBLY HAVE TO SAY?!" A voice shouted out from still within the particle mist. As Loki heard this voice, her eyes widened a bit, and then she grind, as she seem to have realized something,

"So that's how it is. Very interesting... very, smart." Once she was sure that the wolves could hear clearly, even though Kurama was shouting, while they were in that particle mist. She was able to piece a few things together. However, it really didn't concern her, she wasn't the one fighting. Loki then turned her attention towards the large man that had made his way into the wagon. She crossed her legs and smiled teasingly, "Hello, Mr. Ninja. I'll start with something simple. What's your full real name?"

Krystal tilted her head as Zuruel and Loki had a little spat but closed her eyes resuming her rest nestled into the witch's collar since she had nothing significant to do her tail flicking as she heard Shiki yell as the drunk foxes made comments about the wolves speaking.

Isamu allowed the chakra he had gathered within himself to subside as a wall of earth rose to meet his blast of wind. The Genin noted that many of the worgs had dispersed easily. He suspected they had only been illusions. If that was true, more worgs lay in wait within the mist.

One of the party members stumbled out of the wagon and called out drunkenly and shouted out to the worg's asking if they wanted to parlay. The Worg's response echoed out from the mist, "YOU ATTACKED US FIRST!!! NOW YOU WISH TO TALK?! WHAT DO YOU POSSIBLY HAVE TO SAY?!" Isamu listened for an answer from the party. If he heard none the Genin assumed this encounter was following to its logical conclusion.

The worgs that remained were now split with six still charging on and nine sheltering behind the wall. That was something at least. The princess had warned the party that the worgs would be extraordinary, and so far that certainly the case. If the Worgs or one of their allies had an affinity for the earth it was time to change the battlefield.

Isamu reached up to his tactical vest with his right hand and pulled a paper tag covered in black symbols. The symbols glowed and faded from the tag. All around Isamu's feet the earth dried and cracked before crumbling into sand. The desiccation flowed out from him like a wave, spreading rapidly over the area. In three seconds the entire landscape within 100 meters of Isamu would dissolve into to a fine desert sand. The ground the main party stood on would be converted but the technique would end only a few meters past them

The Sadojin's left hand moved again forming the seals for another technique. The remaining worg's didn't seem to be badly scathed. Isamu knew he needed to learn more about these creatures if he was going to defeat them. Thirty identical copies of Isamu rose from the sand 10 meters in front of him. The clones charged forward dividing into two groups of fifteen. One group broke left and the other broke right to flow around the wall and envelop the worgs on the other side of the earth wall

As the clones charged Isamu floated up from the center of his newly made desert until he could see behind the wall. He was watching the worgs and how they reacted to the sand clones. If anything Loki had said was true they should make quick work of his clones but it was not such a bad idea to let his opponents to grow used to slaughtering them. If the clones were allowed to close the distance completely they would begin trying to tackle and restrain the worgs.

Drawback: The technique cannot be used on top of water, or extremely wet ground. Can be used in rain, just as long as the ground is not to wet.
Description: User will complete a string of hand seals, focusing chakra into their hands as they do so. Then, they slam their hands into the ground immediately after doing so, pushing their chakra down into the earth, and spreading it out all around in a 100 Meter radius. In a rather quickly (3 Seconds) manner, the earth in a 100 meter radius is turned into sand. This technique utilizes the users knowledge in Soil Conversion turning all soil, solid rock, and even small vegetation (Grass, plants, flowers and etc.) into a mass of sand, virtually creating a small desert at the users disposal.

Drawback: For D Ranks The Clones that are created are basically useless, only used as a distraction, only used to stand/move and can not be used to attack. One meter of sand is needed per clone.
Description: If the user has an abundant amount of sand along the ground the user is capable of focusing their chakra along the sand to where they are capable of controlling the sand's structure to create a vast amount of clones if capable. When first learned the user is capable of creating up to five Clones, this is for the D Rank Version. If the user learns the C Rank version they are capable of creating ten clones. At C rank the clones are capable of attacking and using sand techniques. The C rank of this may be learned an additional four times to create a maximum of thirty clones.
Limit: Must have the Sand Release.

“Are you… Intoxicated?” Was it really wise for a diplomat to be intoxicated? Whatever the case, the spark of creativity yielded from whatever the fox girl was drinking seemed to have the desired effect and struck up a conversation with the wolves. Sighing, Zuruel shut his book tightly in a rather exaggerated manner to help release the agitation he was feeling. “Many problems, princess. I had my suspicions, but Familiars are just the grunts, aren’t they?” Balancing his custom grimoire on his index finger, he began tilting the finger at various angles to help the book work up a spin. “I’ll come over later. We need to discuss these working conditions in great depth, and a promotion after this nonsense is over.”

Sighing again, Zuruel’s shadowy gauntlet suddenly began to transform with strange metallic creaking, before suddenly begining to sound more organic the moment it sprouted legs to leap away from his arm and onto the dusty ground. “Looks like diplomacy is on the table.” He thought to himself. Connected mentally, the ‘gauntlet’ which was actually Lady – the shadowy Moon Dog – understood clearly what needed to be done as she began walking towards the chaos. “Coming Emi? And you fox-ears?” Said the Kedoin, as he walked side-by-side with his shadowy companion that boasted a height almost as comparable to his despite Lady walking on all fours.

Attempting to make himself appear as non-threatening as possible, Zuruel continued spinning his grimoire playfully while Lady telepathically reached out to the wolves as early as she could. “We didn’t attack… It was…” Lady glanced at Zuruel, as if wondering if she should go through with this. In response, Zuruel simply snickered and nodded. “It was… Just one of us.” She said rather vaguely while rolling her eyes at Zuruel’s attempted betrayal. “By accident too mind you. He is rather trigger happy, but a good soul. Look - Shiki has stopped fighting.” Lady hoped the words of a Moon Dog would be enough to convince the wolves to forgive Shiki for his transgressions. “Meanwhile, Zuruel and I have done nothing to you except observe. All we wish for is peace and safe passage to the tree.” Lady paused for an answer, before Zuruel interrupted. “And if anyone attacks you again along the way, the three of us will personally join sides with you and turn them into dust.” The group continued approaching the wolves as closely as they deemed reasonable, without making them feel threatened. 

“One moment.” Despite turning his back on the wolves to walk towards the left where Isamu was, and seemingly letting his guard down in a show of peace, Zuruel kept a careful watch over his surroundings. Constantly taking in sensory information via his enhanced hearing, scent, and even through a mental relay of what Lady was seeing, the Kedoin wouldn’t be left in the dark for even a moment as he felt the rough ground below shift into soft sand. A familiar sensation from the Chunin exams. “I’ll prove it. We are not your enemy. Just a simple group, with a misguided few, whose actions unfortunately speak louder than the rest of us.” Abruptly stopping the spin of his grimoire, the book flung up to a random page before the seal etched onto the paper suddenly lit up. Twenty-one beams of water ending in dragon heads suddenly exploded out from the book and whizzed high into the air before curving back down. The trajectory was purposeful and delayed, to clearly reveal that Zuruel hadn’t targeted any of the wolves with his make-shift water hydra. Instead, as each individual head rained down, they struck Isamu’s sand clones – 10 in the group on the left and 11 from the group on the right before they could spread to thinly and begin to circle any of the worgs. With any luck, act of crashing into any of the clones would also spray the remainder in a torrent of water to slow down the movements of even those that had avoided or dodged the strike [144 AP Bludgeoning Damage on hit, Fortitude Save 31 or Stun]. “There. Now no one is attacking you. If you can’t forgive the group, at the very least, may the three... Er, four of us pass in peace?” He said, while turning back to see if fox-ears had been brave enough to follow them into the fray.

"I'm sorry. Didn't realize you guys were sentient." I'd call out over to the group my breath a little strained from spending all that chakra. "I will take full responsibility for that attack. I'm willing to heal anyone damaged by my actions or bring back to life any of the fallen. Although, that wasn't a very strong attack. Please do not attack the group for my actions alone." 

I'd try my best to calm the group down. I'd walk myself over to the point where most of the party and the gathered wolves would be able to see me. "I think it would be best if everyone would just relax." (Persuasion 155/125) I'd hold my hands up and put my sword away so everyone could see my gauntlets were not holding a weapon.

It would seem that these beasts possessed an intelligence, at least one of them was speaking the common tongue, yelling it at the drunken fox that had stepped from the wagon earlier; she had been the first to yell. Diplomacy after an attack? A steep hill indeed. Sekitan found himself to be peering out of the hole at the front of the tarp, easily looking over the driver’s bench and out to the once battlefield. What would these wolves do exactly? This time he did not have the opportunity to watch the others, his own battlefield awaited him within the wagon, and he could not afford to divert his attentions for too long. Loki began to speak to him, asking him a simple question, although things were never simple with a witch. His name.

I do not know what she hopes to gain from my name, but it seems I have no choice. They would learn it sooner or later. He could not sense the woman hidden in the shadows, an arrow notched to her bow, nor did he know what the large cat was that nestled up against Loki, but it had to be done. Emerald eyes narrowed just a fraction. “You should already know my name, Loki,” he began, his deep baritone filling the wagon unintentionally, a voice used to command, “My first name is Sekitan. My last is An’ei. It should be etched into your history scrolls quite a few times if I recall.” His hand rose to scratch his chin, a gesture from his past, although one he was willing to allow to surface for just such a situation.

“I believe it is my turn.” That same index finger, his right-hand index, tapped his chin thoughtfully as he looked at Loki. He could not jump straight to the important questions immediately, instead looking to gain a bit more knowledge for himself on this group of people. He had enough on Loki for the moment. “You seem to have many followers here in this group. What are they to you?”

Time for diplomacy

is attack had only barely been successful, but as it had revealed both an ability among the wolves and removed the fakes, it wasn't really a waste. But as the worgs displayed a greater intellect than the group had anticipated by starting to talk, their strategy seemed to have shifted. As Emi didn't really mind the new way to deal with the problem, he just shrugged and took a passive stance while following Zuruel. He doubted that it would be that easily handled, especially after they had been so aggressive towards them. But any peaceful solution would just make their mission so much easier. It was also allowing him to analyze their chakra signatures further, which was quite interesting thing to see in animals that normally weren't capable of using jutsus.

Alas it seemed that the fox's initial attempt of negotiating with the worgs had left her in a somewhat dazed state, seemingly taking her time to consider her reply. Still, other members of the party elected to fill the void, deferring to their own diplomatic skills. It had, of course, occurred to Yoko that she could have spoken to the creatures in the fox's sted, her own skill sufficient for such matters. However, with the others already taking the initiative it seemed ill-advised to muddy the water by speaking up. Instead, she held her position carefully observing the proceedings aware that this truce could fall by the wayside.
