Isamu kept pace alongside the caravan as it continued. He kept a watchful eye on the horizon the worgs had disappeared over. He could not rightly say that he understood everything that had transpired and that made him uneasy. Every time he met the Princess, some new mystery of the world was revealed and this mission had already been proven to not be an exception. Isamu kept quiet during the walk to the tree. Listening to the conversation around him. Soaking up every piece of information that he could glean.

Into the tree

espite that they had seen the tree for quite some time at that point, Emi couldn't help but feel impressed by how massive it was as he got closer to it. His steps slowed down as his eyes wandered across the body of the tree and the minds eye looking at the chakra aura revealed to him. As he caught up to the rest, he began to wonder if it would be possible to replicate the creation in front of himself. But despite that he had quite a lot of knowledge of chakra, religions, plants and general creations, he felt doubtful. So while the others made sure to open up their path into the tree, Emi used the opportunity to analyze the exterior.

His hands wandered the surface of the tree and followed its cracks and crannies until he finally found a chunk that was loose. Emi then pulled it off and tried to compare it to the bark of any of the normal trees that he had studied. But there were far too much to check in such a short amount of time, so he just put the piece along with a small stick into his pocket before walking back to the rest of the group. Since he had gained the information on how to do that himself, he made sure to confirm that the ending of the ritual matched what had been written in the scroll, just to be safe. When the tree then revealed the dark insides, Emi felt some hesitation. It wasn't very often that Emi felt insecure about scenarios, but the darkness had him halt his steps while his mind gave him frightful possible futures for the group. So he awaited the rest of the group before he would force happier thoughts into his mind and convince himself that it was essential to stop any possible doomsday.

At last they had arrived at the tree, the first leg of their journey appeared to be over. And with it seemingly any semblance of being on guard with the party members engaging in all manner of idle activities from simple conversation to inspecting the tree itself. Yoko and her companions, however, maintained their state of vigilance, carefully observing the others to again draw a conclusion about their skill levels and expertise in certain areas. When the allotted time came the gang moved forth under the protection of this magical barrier.

I'd give a small whistle when I heard Loki speak about what the nature of this assignment was. "Dang. I didn't realize we were this far ahead on this timeline." I'd look around and take a moment to listen to Loki speak. The movement over to the location of the ritual was seemingly uneventful at the moment. I would falter a few steps behind as I slowly started taking place a little bit further back in the pack. I'd use the last few moments to thoroughly try to familiarize each of the magnetic structures of the people in the group. Taking specific notes to the arrangements of their items on their bodies respectively. 

As we traveled I'd take a moment to walk across the path each of them left in the ground. Keeping track of their scents, associating each scent to a person's prints and each person prints to their magnetic spectrum. That task alone took a familiarity with tracking but by simply spending the time to do the task required next thing I knew we were nearing the ritual site. 

 I noticed Emi seemed rather reflective. I'd move near his right flank a good 5 meters off as we approached. "Could you hold onto this for me?" I'd ask my familiar friend as I extended out a Kunai knife. The blade would have a single hirashin tag along the hilt. 

[An'ei Sekitan]

Echidna. He played with the name in his mind for a moment, mulling over her proposal, but it was not one that he could not accept. Not without proper payment at least and a more…formal offering through the proper channels. “An interesting proposal,” he would say to himself softly as she floated away, stepping down the wagon, as he lacked the ability to float. A few quick steps would bring him to the place he needed to be, within the circle of people that would soon be entering the Tree, Yggdrasil. It did seem that their game was done for the time being, however.

Sekitan would eye the people that were there, the number had dwindled. No matter, they were deadweight as far as he was concerned, regardless of their affiliation or station. Those who did come would be powerful, at least decently so, enough to protect their own bodies hopefully. This was not a collection of shinobi that would be big on teamwork. He watched them all, acutely aware of their actions so close. The barrier formed, translucent, but still visible, like a bubble made from dirty water, slightly grey in color. Taking Loki’s explanation as fact for the time being, he would follow her into those chaotic winds so as not to fall out of the barrier into oblivion. It was time to see a new world.
