A Lukewarm Mess

((Since Talking took place, the second half of Christoff post didn't happen.))


"Working conditions? Pray tell what work have you ever done, other than what suited you? Do please, come chat with this princess. It seems I have spoiled you far too much Zuruel!" Loki said in a rather rash and callous tone, as she called out to Zuruel from the wagon. The nerve of that little shifter piss ant. He thought far too much of himself, while not having a single thought worth having in that little mind of his. She couldn't wait to hear what buffoonery would sprout from his gaping maw when they had their conversation.

Loki let out an annoyed 'hmp' as she turned her attention back towards Sekitan, who was kind enough to answer her question, to get her mind off of her useless familiar. She smiled as he stated his name. A devious smile stretched across Loki's face as said, "Of course I knew your name. At the very least I had an idea. However, I'm sure the others didn't. hehehe" Loki giggled as it was all irrelevant to her. Although giving Sekitan's nature she was sure even just those around him knowing his real name, was at the very least irksome to him, and for some reason Loki got much enjoyment out of it. "You hear stories, but it's seldom you get to put such a handsome face to a name, especially such an old one."

Loki crossed her legs placing her hands into her lap. She then raised her eyebrow when she heard Sekitan's question. She began her response by rolling her eyes . "Such a boring question. Very well, they are friends, family, partners, and acquaintances. Some I'm more fond of than others. Nothing as sinister as you're probably thinking. I'm very popular you know, and yet no one knows me. How vexing." Loki said a smile on her face clearly enjoying the the pleasure of have so many connections without the being bogged down by having a widely recognized name... like Sekitan for instance.

"Speaking of friends. Seeing the way you, and that sneaky little monkey swarm that young lady, and the fact Ace didn't come himself. I assume that's the new Yukikage. I doubt you'd waste your time, otherwise. That means my dear friend Ace as succumb to his... condition. So... how is Gunnr doing?" Loki knew giving Sekitan up beat an open personality, she wasn't going to get much more than a 'fine' out of him, if anything at all. But that wasn't really the point in her asking that question.

As Loki conversed with Sekitan, the Wolves began to slow their movement as the sounds of a other howl came from with the cloud of particle mist. It seemed the Worgs were at least interested in listening to the accuses that these humans were going to make. Though the others couldn't see the face of the alpha, it was contorted the instant that Lady began to speak. "A Moon Dog?! A Moon Dog in this plane?! Tsk!" The Worg alpha was aware of what it meant to have a Moon Dog in the presence of these Humans. It was a creature of sickening good. If it spoke a promise then he could be assured that the promise would be kept. However...

"We do not need anything from you, human." The Worg responded to Shiki, clearly still upset that he drop a storm cloud on them. It then let out an aggravated sigh and continued, "If the Moon Dog says it is so, then it is so. BUT there is an apex predator in your group. One that is nearly unequaled in any realm. I doubt you have any say in his actions. That boy that charged first is NOT human and I can feel his bloodlust from here. Can you speak for that thing?"

"How rude... and accurate!" Jormungandr said with a nearly sinister smile on his face. "I am starving, and I had hoped to make a meal of your pack. Now that such tender meat is ready, I have to stop my hunt?" Jormungandr said without a care in the world. His human eyes began to glint green and go serpentine for a moment, as his a snake like tongue slithered out for a moment. The Worgs closest to him shrunk back a bit. It had never accrued to them that they could be prey for something else. The Alpha could not see the boy, but he did hear him,

"Do you see?! Can you contain that beast or not?! If so, we will let you pass unimpeded, if not we will fight to the last. We will not simply resign ourselves to be a child's snack break!" The Alpha shouted once again. Jormungandr didn't seem interested in conversing with these creatures, whether they could speak or not made no difference, anything with flesh was edible and on the menu as far as Jormungandr was concerned. He hand eaten humans before, so why would he care about eating some pups. Nex could have easily convinced Jormungandr to stand down, but she wasn't his parent, move over both of them were present.

They could deal with this walking natural disaster themselves. Nex just casually switched her gaze over towards Shiki, as Loki seemed to be busy at the moment, and given the way Loki spoiled Jormungandr, she would at least haggle for the Worgs to surrender at least 15 of the Worgs for Jormungandr to eat.

The neko quietly took in the noise and happenings going on around them her ears flicking around as people and beast spoke alike though Loki's declaration made her purr faintly as her shadow-like fur continued to drift like smoke from her position resting content until needed otherwise.

Isamu straightened as the assault halted. The Sadojin looked wary as he let his right hand rest on his katana's sheath. There was no telling whether these talks would succeed and Isamu intended to be ready for the worst case scenario. He regarded the scene carefully taking in the words the others spoke.

The Genin had offered Loki his blade and not his tongue for a good reason. It was not a Genin's place to get involved in such conversations. Isamu did listen with rapt attention. He had never heard of Moon Dogs before and the Worg seemed to be insinuating something strange about the Senri boy. Isamu wondered what the Worg could mean by calling Jormungandr inhuman. His mind flashed to the giant serpent Loki had ridden into Willow Moor. Surely they couldn't be the same being? Isamu resolved to keep a close watch on Jormungandr.

“Indeed – Working conditions!” Zuruel yelled loud enough for Loki to hear and raised a hand high in the air for her to see before he could leave her field of view. “Look at these silky-smooth palms. I haven’t killed or fought anything supernatural in months. Ever since word got out that I’m your familiar, it’s like everything otherworldly has started to avoid me.” Lowering his arm back down, it fell to his side lifelessly and without energy. Now instead of fighting cultists, he was being forced to navigate through this minefield of a conversation with the worgs.

“I’m as surprised as you are about our resident Moon Dog. Nothing interesting seems to want to visit this plane anymore.” Zuruel said with a half-bored shrug. The strange mysteries and phenomena surrounding the towering tree-like structure was the first real taste of otherworldly fun in months. Even with Emi’s ring of calming asserting its influence over him, the Kedoin couldn’t help but feel a sense of restlessness. He didn’t want to be slowed down by these worgs. Not when there were highly capable cultists waiting to be killed.

“You are absolutely correct.” Zuruel spoke with a playful tone that feigned innocence. “Neither Lady, Emi, nor I have any control over the apex you fear. So, think about this carefully. What reason is there to make enemies out of all of us? At the very least, the three of us mean you no harm. If you leave us be, it is three less foes to worry about, while you focus your efforts on the apex predator.” Zuruel mentally plotted the quickest path to the tree that avoided walking through the particle mist storm, while shutting his Grimoire, with a finger wedged between a page that contained another sealed version of the Seven Flowing Water Dragons technique.

“Now then. I am going that way. I highly suggest you invest all your efforts into keeping the apex at bay, rather than wasting precious resources on us. I believe Shiki over there is their father… Somehow?” A puzzled expression possessed Zuruel’s features for a moment, as he wondered how a combination of witch and venator could spawn such a beast, unless Shiki was actually part lizard – which even if true, didn’t explain the other children's oddities. Shaking his head, the Kedoin pushed the strange thoughts out from his head while leading the group around the storm and towards the tree, while all the meanwhile, paying attention to his keen sense of hearing that spanned 70 meters around him. “See? Look at him.” Zuruel paused for a moment to point out Shiki just as he approached to apologise. “There. Him. I have no sway over the apex, but he does. Focus your efforts where they will logically yield a result. Stopping my group’s progress will just add more unneeded chaos to the situation. Surely you agree?”

"I figured Jorgie had a better reason to attack other than hunger... I mean likely would have let him eat you if you didn't start speaking." I'd say with a hopeful tone to my voice. "That's pretty much my only rule on what he hunts. It's wrong to eat things that talk unless you can't solve things peacefully." I'd try to explain quickly realizing how awkward the whole situation was. "Jorgie buddy if you're hungry I packed a few plenty stones if you need to eat. I know you like to hunt but we need to get going. We can go hunt whatever you want after we finish up this task. 

I'd bear witness to all the gesturing and speaking towards me. "Yeah again. Truly sorry." I'd gesture towards the general direction we were heading. "So look. I'd love for all of my group to go that way and put some space between our packs. I'd prefer for that to happen without further violence." I'd take a moment to let the others say there points. It was clear that these creatures respected the legendary creatures of the party quite quickly. Feeling my body still straining from the use of my Jutsu I'd raise my voice a little louder. 

"Let's go bud. We got a rendezvous with destiny."

Opponents receive a Will Save 10 + 2 per Class Level + User's Impeccable Will to negate this effect. User can use this ability once per Combat encounter but it is only considered used if the user successfully convince the opponent to surrender or flee via the use of this technique. If a creature makes a Save that creature is immune to the user's use of this Technique for 24 hours. This is a mind-affecting language dependent Compulsion effect.

The information was…lacking, although that was by design of the question, and not necessarily by omission on Loki’s part. It had been a test to see just how specific he would need to tailor his questions for more definitive answers. None of them were listed specifically under which category they fell, although he had an inkling of an idea for a few of them. Zuruel screaming from outside that he was her familiar, the man in the armor with poor battle skills was her husband, the boy who wished to eat the Worgs was her son, the foxes were some form of friends and coworkers. He would file the information away for later. Zuruel is a talker, it seems, and he’s not shy about information. I’ll need to question him later. Loki then brought up the Yukikage, Juniper, Ace and…Gunnr?

Sekitan quirked an eyebrow at Loki’s proposed question, not because of who she asked about, but because of its mundane nature despite her having just called his own question boring. “I was unaware we were going to sip tea and small talk, or I would have brought some tea,” he would say almost playfully. Contrary to popular belief, Sekitan could make a joke. “Gunnr is well, however.” A smile would creep onto his face then, small and quickly snuffed out. She knew Ace as well, friends even. His eyes narrowed very slightly in thought for just a moment. A lot of ties to many places. “You seem quite powerful as it is, Loki,” he began, looking her up and down appraisingly, “what exactly are you trying to find within the tree? It’s obvious that this Bifrost you mentioned earlier is more of an icing and not the cake itself.” He would lean back casually, allowing his arms to rest on the wooden half wall of the cart that was on the inside of the tarp, his emerald eyes watching her intently.

Sabolian

Sabo descended to his butt, it wasn't that he had grown tired of standing, his legs had undergone training to a great extent, but the battle seemed to have taken quite the turn, they now seemed to be conversing with these worgs or negotiating for their freedom. He dug his hand into his pocket and brought out a sole cigarette, the boy's right pinky would burst into flames, calmed flames that wouldn't spread to any other part of his body.

He lit the cigarette that he had slotted into his mouth and then the flames would vanish. Whilst the negotiations continued, he laid his back on the ground and had his two palms serve as a pillow for the back of his head, with medium length intervals he would blow smoke into the air and get lost in his thoughts, knowing the young man you could probably already guess what he was thinking about, well it was all to strengthen his will of chivalry.

he situation was less hostile than it first had appeared. But as he didnt hold any leverage over the one called the alpha and didnt care for taking the lead, Emi just remained at Zuruels side and allowed him and Shiki to handle the communication. If the wolves would get aggressive again, Emi knew that he would be able to avoid them anyways. The Hoshigaki adjusted the sleeves of his robes so they once again covered his gauntlets.

These creatures were little more than a distraction on their way towards their real goal. If anything fighting them and using such wild scale techniques only risked exposing their movements. As such, from the young Mizukage's perspective, this conflict was quite meaningless: she was all too happy to progress onwards with the terms of a non-aggression truce. For whilst one might have argued that the party had a duty to stop these creatures from causing harm to the inhabitants of the surrounding area. It was ultimately far more pragmatic to allow them to roam about for the time being and instead focus on their real goal of saving the world as we knew it. Perhaps the rest of the party would not share this view. Indeed, Yoko suspected that at least a few people would disagree placing their selfish desires above the greater good; still, until this mist dissipated the wagon was unable to proceed any further.

On to the Tree

"And yet there is a horde of monsters standing there in front of you to kill, but you choose instead to talk peace. This is no one's fault but your own." Loki was rather callous with her words, much like Jormungandr, she didn't really care if they heard her. They were nothing more that a snack that her baby wanted so why not let him have his feel. That was Loki's thoughts, but her eyes immediately rolled when she heard Shiki's piece. He was always such a bleeding heart when it suited him.

Jormungandr, folded his arms with a pout, as he heard Shiki compromise. "Just feed me dirt then!!!" Jormungandr complained as he threw a small tantrum. The food in Plenty stones were so bland, and they didn't have any meat. He'd might as well starve himself if that was the case. "Tsk! Fine! I sure there's better things to eat inside the tree anyway." Jormungandr looked over towards the Worgs, and shouted, "What are you waiting for?! Move before I change my mind!"

The Worgs all growled at the boy, before a howl sounded from inside of the static Cloud. The Alpha didn't say another word to the group as all the Worgs present began to fade into the shadow that Yggdrasil cast and disappeared. Jormungandr's head seemed to turned towards a certain direction, clearly tracking the direction that the group of Worgs a run off to.

"The buffet, ran away to the east. What a waste." Jormungandr once again said with a bit of disdain. He then began to make his way towards Yggdrasil once again, as the particle Mist Cloud began to fade away. As the Worg situation seemed to have ended Loki could focus her attention back on Sekitan.

"But that's the best kind of talk. You learn some much from the little things, and what type of tea one prefers." Loki put on a disappointed face, as she lazily rested her head in her palm, as if she was in fact sad that there was no tea. Loki's look on disappointment, disappeared almost as quickly as it came when Sekitan asked his question, "Finally... you ask. I've been waiting for this since the meeting. To think I even had to make this little game as a pretense." Loki said as she titled her head to the side.

"I am quite powerful, more than you imagine I'd assume. However, there's a saying I'm sure you're familiar with. 'There's always someone better'. To make myself always that someone, I never stop seeking power. And inside that Tree, is the greatest power any of the 9 realms possess. Knowledge!!!" Loki said with a smile on her face.  She leaned back  as she played with her bangs  and continued,

"You're right, the Bifrost is just icing. To be completely honest if Gunnr came with you, her being a Valkyrie, she possesses a myriad of abilities that would render my need for a Bifrost unnecessary in this instance. My cake, as it were, is knowledge. The knowledge on how to make sure a certain someone I want to kill stays dead." Loki smiled as it was clear that she was never against sharing this information. In fact in seemed that this was her intention from the start. She giggled a bit,

"My turn. What's your favorite color? My guess is Black." Loki laughed as she teased the dour man. None of her questions seemed as if she wanted to get any real information from the man. Loki called his previous question boring, because he would have been able to figure it out on his own just by paying attention. She didn't want to waste time on such useless things.

However, how could she possibly truly know what his favorite color was? This was critical information. A mischievous smile stretched across her face. Clearly this was all just a game to her. Playing the mysterious princess from a far. If she really wanted to keep secrets so tightly, she would have come as someone else. She asked these mundane questions as a way to express that the level of caution she held towards them were the equivalent of Sekitan's guarding his favorite color.

Jormungandr relented reluctantly and Isamu allowed himself to relax. As the horde of worgs moved off into the distance Isamu rose off of the ground and flew towards the group landing on their leftmost edge. As the Sadojin landed he looked up assessing the group.

Most of them hadn't even lifted a finger against the worgs, perhaps they had always desired a peaceful solution. Either way Isamu harbored no regrets. Where Shiki committed himself to battle Isamu would follow. Jormungandr began to walk forward towards the gigantic tree.

"Time to press on." Isamu said to no one in particular. It was just as well that the group had emerged from the encounter unscathed. There were hard challenges laying ahead. Isamu took a deep breath, centering himself, and deactivating his shield of sand. The danger had passed for now.

Therakill

[Skulking Shinzu]

Lady’s canine features contorted into an unusual display of anger, as she turned her head to lock her shimmering red eyes onto Shiki. Killing to satiate one’s hunger simply fell into the laws of survival in this realm. However, she could never agree with simply killing those unable to communicate. “Play nice. You’ve got your hands full converting me to the light side. Even if you didn’t sleep, I doubt you have the time to take on two apprentices.” Zuruel snickered while whispering the words to Lady, before focusing on Loki’s words with his enhanced hearing. Snicker shifting to a chuckle, he simply pointed at Jormungandr the moment the gluttonous beast mentioned the fact that there were going to be better prey inside of the tree. “No time for appetisers, right Emi?” He whispered, low enough for Emi and Lady to hear, but not the fleeing Worgs.

“And thus, the race begins!” Zuruel ran for 6 meters to build up momentum, before kicking off the ground abruptly to leap 16 meters high into the air, while clearing just under 64 meters of distance before landing with a unusually soft thud [Jump Good: 135]. “S-Stop! I can’t keep up Zuruel!” Lady warned telepathically, only for her words to fail to reach her companion. Determined to beat Jormungandr to the tree, Zuruel resolved to put as much energy and momentum into his long running jumps as possible in order to reach the tree at a blisteringly fast pace. “If I’m careful and focus, I should be able to enter that weird tree by myself without Loki's help. Then, I’ll kill all these cultists myself.” Snickering sadistically, a dark expression possessed the Kedoin’s features as he snapped his finger to cause the book he was holding to vanish in a puff of smoke. “E-Emi!” Lady blinked as she dashed over to where Zuruel had performed his first jump. Nestled against the dusty ground, lay a single shiny object that had been purposefully discarded. Emi’s ring of calming.

Using my blood limit to quickly retrieve the blades back towards myself. I’d pull them into my palms and back into their respective pouches. I’d do my best to keep up with the rest of my group. I could feel my breathing run a little ragged from casting that Jutsu earlier. I’d feel the chakra still stored in my blood limit running it’s course. I’d still have a few more rounds detecting metal around me.

I took a moment just to take note of all the different armaments and various metallic objects this coalition had on them. I’d keep up moving towards the front of the group. Watching Zuruel sprint forwards I naturally felt my desire to chase him well up inside. Yet I stored it down preferring to try and catch my breath from the previous encounter. Instead I’d keep stride with Loki.

[An'ei Sekitan]

The information that Loki had given to him would be stored away for later on in this game, as it was something he found intriguing. It would seem that the negotiations outside had produced amiable results, considering the sounds of battle and talk had finally ceased. Soon they would be on their way again toward this Yggdrasil and a different world of problems all together. Make sure a certain someone stays dead? Curious. What ability does Gunnr possess to get through this Yggdrasil? Finally, it got to the part where Loki would ask her question, though it was obvious she did not wish to gain any information, at least not quite yet.

A smirk would form as Loki asked her question, taking a guess as to his favorite color, but she was incorrect. She was clearly teasing, but the conversation was pleasant enough. After all, it was not often he was afforded a break in either protecting the Kage or murdering her enemies, so this was rather nice. If only there were some sake to drink. “Actually,” he began, allowing a deep and rich chuckle to escape, “my favorite color happens to be amethyst.” The man in armor was outside of the wagon now, Shiki, Loki’s husband. Was not hard to hear him with all that on. It was time for him to ask his question.

“Who or what is this someone you want to stay dead exactly?”

Sabo raised only his back from the ground, the worgs had gone and some of them seemed to be moving towards the tree. The young man stood up and then dropped his cigarette to the ground subsequently stepping on it, with his hands in his pocket he took a quick look around, if he remembered correctly they were a super tall naked woman, he saw nothing but people and a cat, he shrugged before starting to walk forward towards the tree, the wagon ought to be moving soon if its path was clear.

he negotiations went far easier than Emi had expected, but as he hadn't intended to waste more effort on the wolf anyways it was relieving for him that the fight ended. It concerned him however that the child of Loki seemed far more reckless than even Zuruel, something that usually got people killed. So he decided to keep an eye out on the boy, which was quite easy as he still was able to detect chakras. His mind's eye had been directed towards the direction of the attacking humans, allowing him to get a quite distinct look at all of their signatures.

Well, food is not really a priority this early in the mission.

As the state got concluded, Zuruel had however decided to hurry up. Since there were no real point in rushing it, especially with more possible enemies in between them and the tree, Emi just sighed and jogged next to Lady. While running, Emi made sure to scout the surrounding area and tried to see if there were any tracks that could indicate on recent passerbys.

Don't worry, He won't be able to do that much before we get there anyways.

The Hoshigaki said to Lady as they headed towards the tree.

And so the clown fiesta continued with Zuruel leading the way moving forth with such wanton abandon, such disregard for the potential presence of lookouts that it made the small Mizukage reconsider how competent he was. Still, their encounter with the worgs had been resolved, reaching a peaceful conclusion. And despite their inherently chaotic nature, it seemed probable that the creatures would honour their agreement; their alignment did not mean that they were stupid creatures: engaging the party in a pointless conflict would only lead to casualties on their side.

Still, the exercise had not been for nought, rather several party members had revealed their hands or at least part of them, others like herself had elected to take up a position of inactivity all of these actions helped to give an insight into the mindset of the individual party members. Some seemingly had a thirst for battle, others appeared inexperienced to her eyes, whilst others were seemingly not interested at all in this calibre of opponent, quit the insight into their personalities. An insight that Yoko attempted to capitalise on, using the information so freely offered by the party members to draw her final conclusion on them. She had after all been attempting to gauge their skills since the journey began, plenty of time for her to make a comprehensive assessment of their skills and abilities.

And So it Begins!!!

Jormungandr would race to the base of the Tree against Zuruel and Sprinkles. Given he had already had a substantial head start, he would be the first to arrive at the destination. He looked up at the Tree; from this range, he was not able to accurately see the top of it at all. Then, he could not even make out a single leaf if this thing also had something of the like on it. He turned around to see Zuruel approach, with sprinkles, and Nex was floating lazily behind the group. He smirked at Zuruel and then said,

"Why are you in such a rush? You can't even open a pathway, let alone guide one. what's the point of you getting over here so fast." Nex rolled her eyes at Jormungandr as she landed beside him, he couldn't open a pathway on his own, right now either, what was the point in teasing Zuruel? The boy's pride was growing by the day. Nex sighed and then said,

"That's enough, Jorgie. It's time to prepare." Nex wouldn't ask useless questions about whether the by remembered what to do. She just walked over Yggdrasil with Jormungandr following closely behind. The two of them then placed their hands onto the Tree. As they did so, strange patterns began to appear on the surface of the Tree and began to shine with aquamarine light. Nex and Jormungandr would both started to chant in a peculiar language.

Back in the Wagon.

"Amethyst!!! Like my eyes. Oh, now you're just flirting with me. I don't know what to feel about that." Loki gave a coy grin as she narrowed her Sharingan eyes. She was still teasing Sekitan. Loki began to giggle as Sekitan asked his question. She didn't seem to be opposed to answering his question at all. No, it seemed more as if she was quite pleased with it. Like she was stirring his questions in the direction that she wanted them to go. So far, nothing of what he asked was outside of her expectations. The only real issue was, what she was getting out of this.

"Well, that is quite the question. The person I'm trying to kill is a Demonic Goddess. You should know of her as Echidna, The Mother of Monsters. I know her as the bitch that gave birth to me. It seems everything in my life is quite dramatic. Even something as mundane as matricide requires an epic journey spanning over several realms."

Loki said, rather nonchalantly. It should be oblivious why she was looking for ways to keep her dead. For something like Echidna, there were bound to be countless ways for her to resurrect herself, even if she reduced her soul to nothingness, there was no doubt things in place to bring her back. The more interesting part is that Loki was sure that she could kill a God. So much so, her only concern was making her stay dead. The Wagon would begin to come to a stop in front of Yggdrasil slowly. Loki began to remove herself from the Wagon but not before turning her attention back towards Sekitan and saying,

"I plan on annihilating my mother, and every sibling of mine that stands in my way. Taking all the knowledge and treasures she has amassed over the countless centuries she was roamed this realm. I will swallow her whole before she does the same to this world. It is the payment that she owes me. So Sekitan, would you be interested in helping slaughter a Demon Goddess and all of her progeny?"

Loki didn't wait for the answer, as she floated out of the Wagon. The temptation was already there. Sekitan was well-read on ancient history, he would know that at some point, demons roamed and ruled the land of man. If what Loki was saying was true, then it wouldn't be too long before Echidna would try to bring back the glory days of demons running rampant. Also, the thought of getting one's hands on the knowledge and possessions gathered by a god would be appealing to anyone.

However, that was Loki's story; the Ninja had their own business to pursue today, one far more important at the moment. The threat of Bijuu was far greater than any god could hope to achieve, but again, Loki didn't seem to care much about the Bijuu at all. She was just that selfish, or there was something she was keenly aware of about this cult that she had yet to share. She made her way over to where Jormungandr and Nex were chanting. Without breaking stride, she made several hand motions through the air, than started to chant along with them. Her hands gracefully danced through the air and then she gently placed her hand on the side of the Tree,

"Open." She whispered. There was a great light that shone, and a massive gate of light opened up. Once anyone looked inside, they would see the chaotic winds of creation. The dense, deep blacker than black energy swirled and clashed with radiant golden-white light.

"We will form a barrier. Once you enter, do not under any circumstances exit that barrier. It will be more than likely if you enter the winds of creation for more than a slipt second, prepare to be reduced to nothingness, body, and soul. If you have second thoughts of following me through this storm, then it would be best if you remained here."

After Loki had finished speaking, a translucent barrier appeared. It was large enough for everyone present to enter and walk comfortably. Once everyone was inside the barrier, Loki would begin to walk into the Chaotic winds.

Krystal calmly listened taking in the events around and without the wagon as her pervasive hearing let her know things with the wargs were calmed and they continued on as if nothing had happened, while Loki and Seki continued their back and forth. However when the witch began to move and Krystal had to shift her body to float along with her she took a bit more notice as the opening formed and bright white and consuming black surged like waves making Krystal stare for a moment before the cat matched the same pattern of light and dark energies swirling along its body from Wraith and Scintilliant forms while staying eagerly upon Loki's shoulders watching the energy ebb and flow, to some looking like a cat-shaped silhouette cut in front of the winds.

[Skulking Shinzu]

“Come now. Surely it can’t be that difficult.” Zuruel muttered while eyeing the tree from bottom to top. Strangely, his eyes couldn’t quite capture the very tip of the tree. At this close of a range, it was almost as if the tree just infinitely stretched high into the air and above even the limits of the sky. Curious, Zuruel prepared to touch the so-called tree, only to stop his approaching palm inches away from the supernatural surface. Frozen, he simply observed as Nex performed the action first and began chanting. Somewhat competent in the relevant lore, the Kedoin felt as if he could vaguely follow what Nex was doing, but had trouble memorising the exact chant and wording. “Gah, pointless.” Feeling a tinge of impatience, Zuruel began flicking through his grimoire until at last, landing on a certain page.

Triggering the seal, an explosion of smoke caused the etchings on the page to burn away before conjuring five mundane shadow clones. “What a shame I had to waste that seal so early into this journey.” Now a merry band of sextuplets, the original Zuruel adorned with a blue-eyed gem placed his palm onto the tree first in an action that precisely mirrored Nex’s movements. “Focus.” He told himself as the remainder of the clones joined in on the action. Each one placed a palm flat against the tree, while ensuring at least one finger rested or made contact against the original’s pale skin to form a physical connection as if to symbolise their intent of working together while allowing the original capable of Chakra sight to lead. Having given Nex a head start, Zuruel began reciting the chant he had picked up on word for word, to the best of his abilities, while utilising the knowledge that had been granted by Lady to further guide his actions. A larger group made things more difficult. However, if the clones worked in unison… “Perhaps I can avoid the bad stuff.” He thought to himself, while locked onto Nex and Jorgie’s chanting. Utilising his Bard prowess, the menagerie of Zuruels chanted in eerie unison by carefully taking in the soundwaves of Jorgie’s voice to ensure that their pronunciation and tone were on par with what they were attempting to mimic.

“Is that… All there is to it?” He wondered, while waiting for… something to happen. Cautious of both Loki and Lady’s warning, he knew not to commit to entering the tree unless things looked safe, or at the very least, his attempt at opening a rudimentary pathway looked anything like Nex or Jorgie’s pathway.
