To redirect the nuclei is to stagger it, and to shift the range, not too hard too understand =_= This is true, the jutsu does not state whether the user is vulnerable to his own jutsu, but is it not safe to assume that you would not create a jutsu of radial proximity that would strike down themselves down? Seems pointless to me, I mean you have your drawbacks, but that would make it completely useless, if not stupid to use 0_0

50 meters, if a lightning bolt is about to hit the a 6 foot tree, you are suggesting its going to fly off that 50 meters to connect with some metal barely a few feet taler then its original target? Not so much. Some will hit it, some will not. (I'm not going to bring up you constructed a tower of metal in split seconds as LIGHTNING comes crashing down, oh yea, and with "chakra" that makes it logical =_=) I'll talk to toka however to see if I'm in any danger, but really its makes zero sense I would be. <sub>Ok you shifted the range. How does that make marri out of range when we were all basically within 30 feet of each other the moment the battle started. The only move marri made was the leap into the air from the trees so she could fire off the housenka jutsu. Then she states she landed 20 feet away from me and kasai, still in range of your technique.

Then after the post where you fire off your technique she states she "runs" 40 meters into the forest chasing after kasai's water clone from the spot where she landed in her last post. Still in range, how can i not flicker away and avoid being hit, but she can run into the forest and avoid being hit. You even state she could be hit if not careful.

Im not suggesting the lightning would fly of its course from hitting a tree 50 meters away just to hit my little lightning rod. Im saying the local lightning would most likely hit it instead of me if im in the rods local vicinity. The foot tall makes alot of difference when it comes to lightning. People holding umbrellas get struck over the people walking right next to them with no umbrella. But that really dosent matter.

You can go ahead and accuse me of constructing a "tower of metal" in mere seconds as if it was completely unrealistic, but this is not true. The moment you begin to perform the one handed hand signs is the same moment i begin to abort the metal weapons on my person and construct the tower. I have B rank control of the technique. Meaning i can control the metal up to speeds of 40 mph. Which is pretty fast. So it wouldnt take too long for the metal to assemble. Not to mention the fact it only took one hand sign to do it, or the fact that i have the technique that must be performed before the use of that A-rank jutsu. Sounds pretty logical to me =.=, but thats just me.

Once again the jutsu seems flawed, and personally it seems as if your trying to kill 2 birds with one stone without accepting the consequences.</sub>

I'll go off and edit......I knew I was in the range anyways, but I tried to state that a lightning hitted a tree nearby instead of me.
Besides....If I ran into the forest, the lightning would have a smaller chance to hit me. Also, nobody stated exactly how far away the forest was from us. I begun my post when Kasai had made the clones, which should have given me a few seconds. As Yajuu stated, a lightning would have probably hitted the tallest thing in range, so it would be more likely to hit a tree instead of me.
But I'm still in danger. I'm in a burning forest, which will burn more thanks to my eagles Dai Kamatachi. If I don't get out soon, I might get suffocated because of the smoke, and I think I stated that in my post. Also, I can also get hit by branches falling down on me, even if I use the eagle to escape. Plus, I'm still in the range for the jutsu.

<sub>Looking around Kasai noticed the buring forest as it began to spread along the cloud country. The smoke began to rise as it began to lure its stinch in Kasai's nose. Coughing once then twice, Kasai knew what he had to do to get out of such danger. He needed a stradegy in order to give him enough space to get out of range of the attack. Thinking in his head as the smoke began to filter around him, he knew he had to use the fire and smoke to his advantage. Suddenly the loud sound of a tree rumbled through his ears, as he noticed it had fell against the ground. The bruning flames corrupted through the ground itself, as it began to spread through the grass and minerals below the young foes feet. Thinking in his head Kasai said, theres no more time I need to get out of here quickly. As Kasai turned back to look where he was going, he noticed a light sound of a voice. As he thought, he came to a conclusion that it oculd only be one person, Marii. How crazy is she coming into these burnigng woods she must be really mad. Kasai thought out loud. He couldnt spot the young gurl which seemed to be his cousin, but he knew she was near. Which meant bad things to come for Kasai if he was caught.

Thinking fast Kasai noticed Marii was talking to another object, because if she was talking to him then her voice would be louder and directed to him. Only one conclusion for such a thing, the summon of a bird, everything was coming itno perspective now. She had to be sending him up into the air, because if not then the bird would sufficate from the arousing smell of smoke and burning flames around it. Thinking fast, Kasai would create a set of handseals as he would then begin to push into the greound itself forcefully. Putting all his strength into the pushfusing his chakara, Kasai began to sink slowly but surely. As he looked up all he could see was a cloud of smoke and the burning rays of flames arouns him, but up in the sky was a giant bird which seemed to be an eagle or falcon of some sort. This was bad, but Kasai kept his cool as he continued with his justu craeting a path below the earths surface for a perfect escape. His waist was now into the ground as he began to sink faster at a greater speed. He listened as he heard the ground rumble from the forcefull impact of the lighting hitting the trees setting the outside of the gates to the hidden cloud village on fire. Kasai knew that the hidden cloud village would have to move to another area nearby, seeing that what would be left was ash from the forest of greenery.

Kasai would then create his last set of handseals and then wait for a second to gather his chakara and energy for his escape. He would then push against the ground, as he felt himself starting to move through earths minerals and soil. After a while Kasai was moving forward to an area out of range of such an attack. But beforer he began moving Kasai had to fill such a large whole, at which he had sunk through. The young foe would then create a set of handseals as he would then stick his hands into the ground beside him and wait for all the minerals to gather, taking only a minute Kasai created a boulder. As he pushed the boulder up to hole he noticed another tree falling as a light flash of fire was shown while coming down with pure force. As Kasai thought he knew it only two things could have done that, Marii's justu or talo's lightining justu, at which he created. A smile rose upon Kasai's face as he would then turn around and drop the boulder loosing complete control of the justu. He then begin to swim north until he felt a slight change in the earths atmosphere.Kasai would then continue toward an area where the ground below him didn't feel so hot. Moving quickly Kasai would fuse more chakara toward his hands so he could move the chakara in front of him easier instead of straining.

After a while kasai felt pains roaring all over his body as he began to use up more and more chakara and energy just to escape from such a justu. He felt like he was training, but he had more things on his mind as he continued on, but first he would have to take a rest and gather his energy and chakara by meditating where he stood or in other words lied. Closing his eyes he visualized himself moving faster as he began to feel his chakara rising from th medititaion. His energy was now rising and his chakara was rising up to a maximum. This was good as he would start to continue his voyage to an unknown area. Suddenly the temperature of the ground would begin to change drastically as he felt the gorund cooling down as if it were a stream of water nearby, But this was probably just an illusion of some thought in his brain as he continued and paid no attetnion to the cool feeling of the ground and minerals. Moving faster it didn't take him much longer to get out of this hell hole (literally).Maybe that feeling wasn't an illusion, he noticed the ground was cool, this was a good sign as he continued to dig from such a deep area in the ground. After a while, Kasai was on the outside of the earths surface as he looked around to observe the objects and how they looked. Kasai would then find himself back underground still crawling through the bottom of the earths suface. Moving faster and faster sooner or later Kasai was out of the a-rank justu, which to him seemed very powerful.</sub>

OOC: The cloud country forest is obliviated if i spelled that right because of all the justus we did eveything is lit on fire and it is so much smoke and fire that no one can see anyone. And the fire is continuously burning and raging. And there isnt that much water near so it will continue to rage until put out. The lightining is still striking trees around 20 acres are lit on fire from the spreading of it i think.

When an opponent is right under the user reaches up to take the opponent and drag them back down to the ground in one fell swoop without movement or notice. The opponent is unable to move for one post and the user is capable of slamming out of the ground with one movement.

Doton - Dochuu Eigyo (Underground Fish Projection)

Description: The user uses the basic Doton - Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique) as they slam down into the ground. Doing so the user is capable of moving about within the ground capable of rising, singing and capable of pushing through the very ground in multiple types of ways. This type of attack may be used so then the user may move away from the very opponent and attack at the moment's notice.

Kasai...your time line is off, Marii summoned after my jutsu was cast. The lightning would be coming down far before you "heard" her speaking to her summon (to which she specifically stated was done quietly and not possible for you to hear 0_0)

I'd also say you'd have no way to analyze the attack, decide on best coarse of action, and dive underground before the bolts came down, Yajuu probably, but you would be caught completely off guard. I would like a mod to step in and decide if the metal rod would absorb all the lightning, or several but a few would be bound to hit him like I said. Also, I would like a judgment on Kasai's post to see what damage he endures if any.

Alright, no one post. I shall review this and issue a ruling. Until then, I don't want to see any more argument.

Alright, alright, lemme take a look here. Now, the main issue appears to be the direction of the lightning cables created by this technique. So, I have a number of things to say.

First off, naturally, the controller and director of a technique, especially a Cloud Shinobi manipulating Raiton, would not be harmed by his own technique. Unless stated in the technique that it is a danger to the user as well, the rule is that generally you cannot be harmed by your own techniques.

Ruling: Talo is unharmed.

Yajuu. Now, your logic in that a metallic structure being used to attract the bolts of lightning to it, due to having a more conductive path to the ground, is logical, therefore several cables in the vicinity would shock the construction. However, you construction is: a. fifteen feet away from you and b. only a foot in circumference. Thus, despite the lightning bolts drawn to it, the technique has a radius of fifty meters and you are still struck by a number of volts not drawn to the metal. Also, a single five-six meter flicker is not enough to take you out of a fifty meter radius, even if you did not start in the center.

Ruling: Yajuu suffers from several strikes of lightning. Exit denied.

Now, as for the case of Marii, despite that you have control enough to prevent yourself from being shocked, you as a C rank shinobi do not have enough ability to control A Ranked Raiton to hit only your foes. Also, it would be highly difficult to exclude her from the circle while still hitting your foes. Also, 40 meters in six seconds is quite a grand distance to make, so she would still be within the radius of the lightning.

Ruling: Marii suffers from a scant amount of lightning strikes, less due to the active direction of the technique away from her.

Now as for Kasai, his strategy is mostly effective, however there are a few things I can compelled to point out: Moving out of the radius, which would be 30-40 meters to make your way through, is nigh impossible, especially when underground. Therefore, upon coming out of the ground you too were subject to the strikes of lightning. However, being underground would help you avoid the wind blast. However once again, leaving such a widely expansive battlefield (over 50 meters) Is simply not possible in a single post without the excessive use of motion that none of you yet have access to.

Or, all that would have happened if you had been on the correct timing. Talo is right, the timing of the techniques was such that when she summoned the lightning was already beginning to crash down.

Ruling: Kasai is struck by several lightning bolts. Exit denied.

I am reading the thread, and I will make a ruling when I am finished.

First and foremost: Talo is not harmed. The technique is his to control-- if the user was in specific danger of harming his or herself, then it would've been stated in the technique as a significant drawback. To go beyond that, I personally talked through the Byouga series with Hotoka upon its' creation, and it is not meant to cause harm to the user, but rather create a long range attack that is almost impossible to escape from.

Yajuu, I agree with Masakuni. A single flicker of six meters is not enough to remove you from the radius of the attack. The creation of a metal "lightning rod", one might think, is a smart defense, but as the attack covers the large radius that it does, you'll still suffer damages. I don't think that you'll suffer a damage equivalent to what everyone else hit by the technique will do, however, so the damage that you'll take has been reduced, in my opinion, down to two "C" Ranks instead of a singular "B" Rank's.

Marii does have her Ryuugan to protect her from the attack. I do not think that she can escape, but she has her technique. That being said, once again Masakuni is correct, and a "C" Rank shinobi cannot hope to direct an "A" rank attack completely away from her. She will suffer some small amount of damage, but that will be that.

Finally, Kasai, I've through your defense. I personally believe that you were underground for the entire duration of the lightning strikes. That being said, I believe that you would've not taken damage from the attack at all, honestly. The technique itself explicably states that it doesn't touch the ground, but rather ranging about a centimeter from the ground. Since you stated in your post that you stayed underground for the duration of the lightning strikes, I'm willing to allow that to be your defense and say that you were unscathed. However, you wouldn't have been able to sink slowly into the ground or throw the exploding tag. You would only be able to sink into the ground fast enough to avoid damage from the attack, since it is an "A" rank Lightning Jutsu.

My ruling is that Kasai is under the ground for long enough to dodge the attack(s), but is incapable of performing any other action due to the time frame of the battle rules (six seconds, maybe a little longer depending on the situation). Your exit is denied, as you're still underground. You will have to come up next turn.

You may choose that option, Kasai, or else take the damage and not be able to escape at all.

The opposition possessed eyes that could pierce through his simple works of illusion, an annoying advantage indeed. Any thoughts of secrecy in this battle were placed to the side, as it would seem force was necessary to bring in the deserter. The silver swirling eyes of the hunter surveyed the damage, much of the surrounding foliage now aflame. Hmph. A small surge of chakra entered his optic nerve, traveling directly to the retina. On close observation, the eyes of Hakari would shift, the normal triangles that dominated the pupil turn a brilliant red. The large flash that staggered from the explosion of lighting was ignored, normal visible light registry was no longer needed. His resistance to the flash was both due to the unique eyes he possessed, and the already diverted attention in finding the prey. The brilliant crimson triangles disappeared for but a moment as yet another precautionary tracking procedure was performed. A wave of thermal sonar would escape the body of the chuunin, quickly finding all sources of foreign heat.

The strong forces of heat that entered his mind were almost over-powering, the large levels of heat in the area created large patches of undetectable presences. However, the key fact of the matter was that his adversary would not be hiding in burning foliage, less of course he truly was an idiot. The larger patches of red and yellow were firmly ignored, now only paying heed to the cool ground and the non aflame greenery. Finding the escapee proved more difficult then expected, yet still quite hastily done. The large spike in the human shaped aura of heat was what gave him away, obviously blazing hot surges of electricity passing through the victims body. The jump stood out from the scenery, and he locked in with keen eyes. Hands firing away at seals, he would gather chakra to the arms and and hands. Collection of wind was not hard at all, the influx of shifting air from the flow of heat made formation simple.

The pinpoint shot of air would strike at silent, deadly speeds. The similar crimson eyes of the Uchiha would find it neigh possible to detect the shot of air, for the technique would rip through his heart the moment the lightning surged through his body. The detection of the heart was child's play to the hunter, abruptly interrupted organ that shown itself clearly with the electrical surge. The nervous system tended to have a rough time reacting after electricity has passed through it, numbing the victims ability to function properly. This factor would also play against the Uchiha, whom even if found some way to detect the incredibly fast shot, would find it beyond difficult to evade. The Sankukagan was an off spring of the Sharingan, hence the Sakurai knew well of the Uchiha's abilities. Hiding was useless to this clansmen, for his victim could spot him with ease. Deception would have to play to his favor, but clones were completely ineffective in the eyes of the Sharingan. Thus, the hunter performed several hand seals before unsheathing his favored katana, prepared for anything in this blazing environment.

Effect: The user becomes capable of viewing the residual flow of chakra more accurately, to the point where the type of elemental chakra being utilized can be determined. The user also gains the ability to distinguish clone techniques from the actual ninja by their chakra trails, like the Sharingan. The Kage Bunshin is likewise immune to this. The user’s ability to perceive detail is likewise increased, to the point where the user could track via a disruption through leaves or shifted sand in a desert. Those having mastered the Nikaku can perform the Chidori technique, though still requiring 500 TP of Lightning Techniques, at the same level as an Uchiha can. Upon achieving the activation of the Nikaku, whenever the user activates their Sankakugan it will automatically be in the Nikaku state.
Special: Kekkai Genkai
Drawback: Even though the user can perceive the flow of chakra through ninjutsu, the user does not have the capability of copying or gaining knowledge of the technique. The user of the Nikaku can not perceive the flow of chakra through genjutsu and thus, not pierce it. Maintaining an activated Nikaku requires a small amount of chakra to be flowed constantly to the eye, much like the Sharingan.
Description: The user’s eyes swirl as three triangles of white form from the edges of the iris, tapering to points as they touch the pupil, much like crosshairs. The triangles are arranged in the same pattern as the tomoe of the Sharingan, similar to a biohazard symbol. At the Nikaku level, the bottom two triangles are active, and this can be seen by a brighter shade of white in this triangle, whereas the last triangle will be dim and somewhat grayish.
Limit: Sakurai Clan Kekkai Genkai. The user cannot learn this technique via accidental trauma. Similar to the Sharingan, the Nikaku and Sankaku seem to only emerge when the user is outmatched and requires in increase in perceptive ability. However, unlike the Sharingan, it seems that the Sankakugan will only evolve if the user enters such combat with the intent of training the eye.

Effect: The user can use the Nikaku to perceive heat signatures. The user will be able to see the heat radiating from all things, as a form of sight. This technique is not affected by the visible spectrum of light, and thus can see through walls and other obstructions at the heat behind them. This technique does not perceive the distance between objects, only the difference in heat.
Special: Focus Chakra to the Nikaku
Drawback: This ability requires three times as much chakra to maintain as the regular Sankakugan. This ability can not perceive anything beyond heat signatures. This ability must be manually activated and deactivated.
Description: The user’s Nikaku swirls, and the triangles turn red. The user is then able to perceive heat signatures around him.
Limit: Sakurai Clan Kekkai Genkai. Must possess the Nikaku..

Description: Closing their eyes and using a few handseals, the Clan member sends out a wave of chakra from the pits in their nose. This thermal wave is like sonar and picks up any heat readings in the area, including humans.
Limit: Must be of the Tokagekuran, Must be of Lizardman rank, Must have had the ritual preformed.

Effect: The user projects a straight line of sharpened wind at the target.
Special: Dog, Tiger, Dog, Bird
Drawback: May only be used twice per thread, consumes a large amount of chakra.
Description: The user forms the hand seals, thrusting their arms out. A line of wind chakra will shot forth from their hands, moving in a straight line at high speeds for forty meters. It will dissipate after it pierces two objects or exceeds its range. Used primarily as an assassination technique.
Limit: Wind Release, Sakurai Clan only

<sub>Cautiously like a hawk the uchiha sat in the tree scoping out his surroundings, planning what he was to do next. A small shift of the body would allow the shinobi to peer around the foilage, granting him a quick preview of the rather anxious looking cloud shinobi that remained on the ground. It would seem as the light bomb had not effected him by the slightest bit, for he appeared to be viciously searching for the uchihas hidden presence. It most likely wouldnt be too long before the shinobi was spotted, the tree which he stooped in wasnt the best cover around, a factor that further urged him to swallow the pain and continue on a course of action. Who knew what would be in store for the uchiha that most likely appeared to be deserting his village. What ever it was he would make sure it was determined by his actions, and not something to be cast upon him at another's will.

Still watching he would quickly notice the shinobi shut his eyes, for what was unknown, but the motion would seem to serve as a good opportunity to act. The previous handseals had been set into action sending out two simple clones to divert the shinobi's attention from the true matter. Now maneuvering from the leaves as swift as possible the uchiha would quickly inhale fillings his lungs with the surrounding air that had been slightly tainted by the lingering smoke, while simultaneously forming handseals. Only to instantly release the assault towards the shinobi's direction. Slightly maneuvering the neck and arm to fan out the attack's range. In hopes of increasing the chances of the shinobi being hit.

The clones had ventured off in opposite directions,with one unleashing a drone like tone from its vocals, around the same point the wind assault was performed. The sentence could probably be made out as "over here!" or something similar. Mere juvenile antics in hopes of serving a small distraction. While the true shinobi finished releasing the visually undetectable assault. Unless granted otherwise by a special aspect such as a bloodlimit. Standing firmly on the ground, eyes locked upon the shinobi. Another handseal would be formed at the hand of the uchiha as one of the clones spoke once more.

"I dont know about you but im planning on heading back to the village alive, apprehended or not." Whether the sentence was to be heard or not, he really didnt care but the uchiha meant every word. Have he not, his lips would have remained sealed.</sub>

# Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Skill)

This is a basic technique known to most Genin. Bunshin no Jutsu creates a clone of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. Like Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these clones will simply disappear if come into contact, but unlike Kage Bunshin, they are substanceless, and thus cannot do any damage. Bunshin no Jutsus have no Shadows what so ever


Name: Dogou hari no jutsu (Roar of Needles)
Rank: C
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: This attack is a cone area affect type attack. The user inhales air while forming the three seals. (It basically looks like they are going to preform Sauskes Katon no jutsu.) The user then exhales by roaring aloud in the direction they wish to attack in, damaging that area with a thousand or more needles.
Special: Tiger; Snake; Ox
Drawback: Multiple uses (such as 3-6 times of use) of this jutsu could cause the user to pass out from an irregular breathing pathern.
Description: The jutsu looks alomost like Temari's gust of wind done with her fan, only its done with the users mouth. A huge blast of air shoots out of the users mouth with a thousand or less chakra needles flying within it and fans out in a cone-like shape.
