Peace keepers in the Land of Fire! -Travel/Mission

Yukari was firmly placed a short distance away from the gates. Considering the circumstances, the mission had to be resolved and preferably ASAP no less. The news of Yondaime's death after seemingly coming back from the after life, it upset the jounin greatly. Not only that, by their allies in Konoha. What on earth was happening in Konoha to make them invade Mizu no Kuni? Did they have plans to look for the village and attack Kirigakure further? These were questions that needed to be answered. Hopefully renewing peace with Konoha would prevent them from further attacks and clear whatever bad blood occured between the two. At the same time, Kirigakure had done nothing wrong to Konohagakure. How would Leaf compensate them for the loss?

Now Team 2 had to be prepared for the worst. The level of danger for this mission was quite high. If they were not careful, they could be attacked by leaf nin on sight. Something which they were already warned about. Best way to Hi no Kuni and the only way, was by boat. Upon leaving the office, she'd prepared their travel arrangements care of a boat guide in the village named Batto.

Hakuro appeared to be the first to arrive on the scene, quite level headed and calm unlike his first encounter with his sensei. His Blade of Woe was sheathed quite securely at Hakuro's side and gently wrapped in a cloth. His headband remained tied to the outside of his upper left arm while he was wearing something that he wasn't wearing before: A signet ring with the insignia of the Krav Maga School on it on his right ring finger. Other than that, Hakuro looked rather normal, the same clueless expression with a somehow underlying look that he understands.

As Hakuro moved towards the port, he took a seat and addressed his sensei, "Hello. Iname and Raiki told me what happened before I blacked out. Terribly sorry about that, but allow me to introduce myself formally. My name is Hakuro de Killer, proud student of the Krav Maga style."

Ah it would appear Hakuro was the first on scene, ready to go at the docks. Yukari examined him closely as he approached, he certainly looked much calmer now. The blade that he used before seemed to be sheathed. After he formally introduced himself Yukari began to think for a moment. He had mentioned blacking out, which was unusual... well so long as he was in better mental health now...

"It's nice to meet you Hakuro-kun, I'm Hijikata Yukari, your new sensei. I take it Tsuraiki-kun and Iname-kun briefed you about the mission?" She questioned him yet at the same time looked out in the distance, no doubt the others would be around the corner.

Hakuro nodded, rubbed the back of his head, and smiled, "Sorry, Hijikata-sensei, but I don't know everything about the mission, just that we're headed to the Fire Country by boat. Would you care to inform me of the details?"

Considering everyone else was thoroughly briefed on the mission, she would be the one to bring Hakuro up to speed. "This is a peace mission. We're to act as diplomats for mist and renew our peace treaty with Konoha. We'll depart by boat and make our way to the capital. Within the capital we shall establish contact with the leaf and a representative will come to meet us. Hopefully we can resolve the problems between us and become powerful together." Yukari explained. Simple in statement and understanding, but of course it'd be difficult to execute. Leaf could just as easily reject the treaty or kill them like they did Yondaime.

Hakuro nodded in understanding. It appeared as if we were ready to begin a diplomatic mission that seemed too big to be handled by a team of Genin, but it seemed that there was no alternative in the matter. Hakuro then heard the part about hopefully resolving problems. Hopefully...? Hakuro thought to himself. Hopefully didn't seem to be very sure, so Hakuro inquired on the matter, "Please excuse my saying so, Hijikata-sensei, but what is the plan in case something should go wrong? As I recall, the Land of Fire isn't exactly very friendly towards us right now, so they might send an execution squad or something rather than a negotiator. In case of something like that, I would like to be ready."

Hakuro didn't really seem very unnerved about talking about his own potential demise during this mission, which would seem odd to many people. He proceeded to look around the corner to see if his teammates were coming along, but they still hadn't shown up yet.

It would seem as though Iname was the third one to reach the meeting point as he spotted Hakuro and Yukari talking. He was, at the moment, within his human form. He would remain in this state throughout the mission unless the need arose to change into his transitional membrane. Walkig forward, he would smile and nod in greeting to the people before him. "Hello Hijikata-sensei. Hello Hakuro."

Iname would look back for a moment to search for Raiki. When he did not appear in his sights, he merely shrugged. Although, within his mind, he was completely flipping out. He was excited to be on his first mission ever. Especially since it could decide the future of the village in some way. Looking up to the bright warming sun, he sighed. Hakuro looks behind him to see Iname coming towards them, "Hey there! You look like you're ready to go. So, we need a backup plan in case this mission should go horribly wrong. Got any thoughts?" Hakuro looked unnaturally calm and collected as he just found a bench to lay down on until Raiki showed up, his face pointing towards the warm sunlight.

Twas definitely good to see the genin thinking on his feet, this proved he had an understanding of the dangers of this mission. She cleared her throat in order to explain a suitable course of action when Iname arrived on scene. A single glance revealed to the jounin just how eager he was. She admired this trait, though she had not realized the main cause for the enthusiasm: his first mission. As far as Yukari was concerned, it was just the first mission for Team 2, in that regards.

The most important thing was providing positive results in this trip. The boat and their guide was ready to go, it wouldn't be long before they arrived. "Ahem, let's get onboard first and we'll discuss a plan while we wait for Tsuraiki-kun." This was better than having to explain herself again concerning the backup plan.

Hakuro sat up from his position on the bench, moved his legs over to the side, and stood up. He nodded, still smiling slightly, the look on his face making it look like he had no clue what was going on when, in fact, he did all too well. Hakuro slowly made his way to the boat, his left hand in his pocket and his right hand unconsciously bent, his forearm stretched over his chest not unlike a stereotypical butler in a hotel.

As he was walking, he appeared to limp a bit, though he showed no signs of any form of injury other than any kind of injury he may have taken during the skirmish between his other personality and his teammates and sensei, which were mainly on his upper body and nowhere near his legs or spinal column.

Hakuro finally made his way onto the boat and found a place to sit down near the bow. There was a pleasant breeze blowing towards the Fire Country. Whether this was an omen or not was to be determined, but Hakuro was determined to enjoy this relaxing boat ride while discussing tactics. "You know, I have never even been on a boat or left the Water Country," Hakuro mentioned. Fortunately, it looked like Hakuro didn't suffer from seasickness at all.

Facing away from the figurehead of the boat ((if there is one)), Hakuro sat down and waited for the rest of his team to follow suit.

Iname would follow suit as he walked behind Hakuro. He noticed that Hakuro walked with a limp. Pondering what could have happened, he wondered if perhaps they had accidentally injured him during the previous skirmish. If memory served him right, no one had even targeted his legs, let alone any nerve centers on his back. Deciding to ask about it later, Iname sat across from Hakuro and took on a more serious persona.

"I have never left the Water Country either. I hope it wll be quite the experience for us all. Unfortunately, this means that neither of us know the terrain should we somehow become seperated."

How the group could become seperated, he did not know. Perhaps if they encountered enemy ninja, they could split up. Other than that, there was really no situation in which they could become lost. He awaited Hakuro's response as well as Yukari's thoughts on the matter as he looked out to sea. He felt the cool sea breeze upon his face and the sea shone brightly as the sun reflected off of its surface. Once Raiki arrived, they would be set to leave.

Making his way to the boat, after Hakuro and Iname, Tsuraiki would realize that Hakuro was just briefed on what they needed to do. That was good, now they were all caught up. Now it was time to get to the land of fire. Hearing that neither of them had ever been outside of water country, Raiki stated "I was born in the land of thunder, but my parents brought me here when I was 4, but Ive never been to the land of fire." He said as he got into the boat himself.

He then would wait to see how things would turn out. He hoped this mission would go smoothly, and having not done much in terms of training, he knew that he wouldnt have much that he would be capable of doing. His only hope was that he would be capable of assisting his team as much as he can, and hopefully things would turn out for the better later on. He wondered just what the other members of his team were capable of doing, besides what he had already seen.

Hakuro looked at Raiki and nodded to him as he made his way towards the boat. Hearing what Iname had to say, he responded in confirmation, "Yeah, there's that too. Hopefully our sensei has been to the Fire Country before and can give us a proper plan. I would rather not walk into a trap without knowing the terrain properly."

Hakuro sat up a little bit, his hands resting atop his legs, his right arm careful not to get anywhere near the dagger at his waist. His signet ring was easy to see on his left ring finger. Hakuro awaited the response of his teammates and sensei. Hakuro hadn't trained much at all since he became a Genin, but he was confident enough in his abilities. If not, he always had the Blade of Woe in case he was in serious trouble.

"This is everyone's first time to the fire country, some of them haven't even left the country before?" to say Yukari was worried would be an understatement at this point. She closed her eyes for a moment as the boat began to move. Batto was at the head of the boat, carefully guiding there ways to the Land of Fire's shores. Likewise she sat across from her three wonderful students.

"I've been to the fire country, they were our allies after all." she mentioned, her eyelids opening to reveal her emerald green eyes. "So then, the first thing you boys need to know about is Hi no Kuni is covered in forests. We have to be very careful as we make our way to the capital city. The safest way would be to travel from tree branch to tree branch and move around the perimeter, this way we can avoid most dangers head on. I'll travel at the very back to provide a good counter measure for us. Hakuro-kun since you utilize Krav Maga, it's safest for you to be at the front. Tsuraiki-kun you will take the right while Iname-kun shall take the left forming a triangle formation or in this case, an evergreen formation." At the last part, she simply traced a triangle with a dot at the end to show the tree like formation.

"In the event we're stopped by Konoha shinobi, each of you will display your official travel papers and I'll show the treaty in hand. It's the best non-violent defense we have. Since we do not control the hands of the enemy a peaceful resolve is the best offense we have at the moment." She added the last one with a straight face but considering the ranking on this mission, she knew they would become worried all the same. She flashed a warm smile and so the boat would head on in its direction.

Hakuro nodded at all of this, "Okay then. Sounds like a valid plan. So we just jump from tree branch to tree branch? I see, so the trees in Fire must be a lot sturdier than the trees in Water, huh? Anyway, I will remain in the front of the formation and I will not use my dagger unless it is a life or death situation."

Hakuro complied to all of this and adjusted his bag of ninja tools so it concealed his dagger a little and layed back, allowing the radiant warmth of the sun and the cool, summer-like breezes to whisk him away into a state of relaxation.

As the boat continued on, Tsuraiki asked "So, anything you have to expect in case they start to attack us? Might be good to keep that in mind. And I will remain to the right. My iron sand is only going to be used as needed." He then looked ahead and saw that land could slowly be seen as the mist that they were in slowly dissipated. "Is that the land of fire?" He asked as he saw the forests. Hoping that it was he continued to sit in the boat, wishing that he had finished his wing sprout technique before they had left.

Hakuro awoke with a slight start and looked at what Raiki was pointing out. There was no mist surrounding the Land of Fire, which was the first thing he noticed, which since he was used to the mist surrounding the area, kinda got blinded slightly, closed his eyes, and fell over backwards. Luckily, he was facing the Bow at the time, so he merely fell onto the hard wood of the boat. After a few seconds of recovery, he got back up and moved to look at the Fire Country again, "I wasn't expecting such a place to be so bright! Not a trace of mist anywhere! Also, those trees have dark brown trunks, not white like the trees in Mist!"

It was clear that Hakuro was intrigued with the Fire Country's very natural environment, merely because he had never been outside of Mist, much less to Fire Country. He really did sound like some kind of country bumpkin as he said all this.

Iname couldn't help but laugh slightly as Hakuro fell over. He had been completely overtaken by the Fire country, and it was as if he had returned to a younger age. He smiled as he, too, looked to the Land of Fire. The view from the boat was simply amazing. The sea reflected the bright, shining sun. The sky was a clear, beautiful blue. The land ahead of them was as if sculpted by an artist himself. The grass and trees were a healthy green, and Iname spotted a flock of birds above them. How such a beautiful land that seemed so innocent could be murderers, he would never know.

"I'm afraid not Tsuraiki-kun, unlike the days of old were the warning of watching out for Katon jutsu would be obvious, in these times you really need to keep an open mind. The only thing we should expect is a potential attack on either side. We'll watch each other's back all the way through, understood?" The last part was really for all of her students. After that, they were docked and ready to leave the boat. She paid their boatman and he no sooner returned to Mizu no Kuni. Now began the travel, this was when danger would occur if they weren't careful. "Alright, begin formation." she declared awaiting everyone to move into position. Once they did, they would all begin to take to the trees, carefully making way to Otafuku Gai, the capital. It seemed the question on all the mist nins minds would slowly become one. "Why did Leaf attack, did they even attack?"
