Greetings Everyone and welcome to the 2014 Advent Calender. Today is December 15th, which means Day 15 of the Advent Calender and the theme for today (If you couldn't see the big letters above) Is Gift Giver! Yes, the theme for today is myself! Why? Because I've taken over Santa's Workshop at the North Pole ever since his unfortunate demise. As such, letters that's come in from all the lovely people of the shinobi world have come to me. And with that being the case, I'm here to answer YOUR Letters!

It's another everyone wins event. After receiving Coal for all the thievery you've done, rewriting the lyrics to the Twelve Days of Christmas, Sending out all sorts of Holiday Cards, and participating in the most awesome Onsite Snowball fight ever, this one is going to make things easy. Now... On day 10, you wrote a letter to Santa from the roll of the RPer. Today, you're writing a letter to me, but as your character. Can you tell me what you want for the Holidays?

Now for the fun part... The prize! The prizes for Day 15's event are... Dependent on YOUR LETTERS! That's right. I'm going to be reading through the letters and determining what to get based off of that. But there's a catch in this. If you ask for only a 100,000 Ryo item, you're likely not going to get it. So I'd suggest asking for a high priced item, a medium priced item, and a low priced item. Only a small handful will get their highest priced item (Or at least some Ryo to go toward it), but that will be determined by die roll. Don't be greedy here, but don't be modest. We all want something to better our characters. Chances to find don't matter here. I'm the Gift Giver! I give what I want! But I can't give out Questable items. Now BFSs, no scrolls with summons to go with it, nothing like that. If you ask for it... You'll get lumps of Coal. And no one wants that.

The reason I ask that you post these submissions on the account you want them on is because if I give you Ryo, I'm going to give it before you even claim it. That and these letters are from the Character themselves. Why wouldn't they be posted from that account? As Always, All entries also enter you into a chance to win the five prize packages at the end. To the graces of he who reads this,
    My name is Hikaru Suke... It is an odd name and no one knows me by it except for you now. Ultimately, I would like to ask for a great many items but I will only pardon your time with items and knowledge that can better aid me in protecting my home or that of aiding my village personally. Of the few things I know for certain will take a good while to use to the fullest regard but if anything else I hope for the graces and divines you host to grant me what I need/want for the aid of my village's growth.

    These things are as follow from least valuable to most, but generally not in the order of importance. Kyuushi (50K), Collection of all the botany books (72K), Training Area Combat Component (100K), another medical unit (125K), or the knowledge for me to be the finest and best medic my village has ever seen. Now, even if knowledge can't be keyed or coined into this, it is still something I would desire as to only better provide to my kin of the Rain village.

    Certainly, all of these are quite pricey so therefore I will put in a couple small wants to this mixture as well to even things out. A new cloak of the type 4 variety (2.1K) or even a large scroll (17K). Any of these items will do me justice in the works of what I wish to accomplish. Dear Almighty Gift Giver,

I am writing you today to ask for a few things that would really help in furthering my dreams. To begin with I would like to state that my dream is to become the most powerful shinobi to ever live. I am willing to do anything to be able to accomplish that dream. I would sacrifice everything from my family, my friends, and just about anything else around me. That being said, I believe that the most powerful beings to ever exist are the dragons and feel with my dragon’s blood and dragon’s eyes that I have the ability to become as close to a dragon as any being has. While there are limits to my ability to do so, there are a few things I would like done to me that would allow me to be closer to that level. If I was able to have my way, I would like a pair of wings, a Prehensile Tail, and Scaly Skin, because with these three things I would be able to become much closer to the form of a dragon. If that is not possible I would still like the wings, because those are the most important things to me. If that is not possible, then I will settle for the Prehensile Tail, as this is the second most important thing to me. I believe that with any of these gifts I would truly be able to start my transformation into that of a dragon and gain the power that I am searching for.

Description: Takes up 4 Augmentation Points. A prehensile tail grants the user the ability to grasp and manipulate a simple object up to 1 size category smaller than the user's size category. A prehensile tail cannot be used to operate a piece of equipment that requires opposable digits or fine motor control (such as Lock Picking). A creature can "hang" from its prehensile tail indefinitely by wrapping it around a larger object, thereby freeing up its other limbs. The prehensile tail is not dexterous or strong enough to fire ranged weapons or make melee attacks, however.

Hey You up North,

Heard old Saint Nick bit it, and someone else was running the show out there. Meaning you. I don't ask for a lot out of people. Mostly I just take it, or rather convince others they want to give it to me. I can see why that might label me as "naughty" to you. Fact of the matter is that's just one definition of the term that I meet on a daily basis. You have no idea just how naughty I can be.

Still, I was convinced by a couple delicious new friends that I should give this a try, see if the new management was okay with me now that I'm trying to keep my untamed nature under wraps. It ain't easy, let me tell ya. So I'm just gonna put this out there - I want a P.I.P.-Boy [300,000 Ryo]. Those things look rad as hell. And they can store info on all my maps. I like maps. I have a bunch of 'em. Little hobby I picked up from running around so much when I was younger. I can tell you that right? These radishes all think I'm only 16. And a definitely human definitely female. But you already know things are more complicated than that. You guys are the world's foremost pros at Scrying, after all, no?

If the gadget doohickey is more than I'm worth though, I wouldn't mind a bit of fresh Saddilia [105,000 Ryo per herb, 808 Ryo per dosage; requesting anywhere from 50 to 100 doses]. It's an herb, grows around my new home from time to time. Annoying to find for myself though, even though I can, so you'd be saving me a load of hassle on that deal.

And hey, if that doesn't work out either could you at least ship me an owner's manual for this motorcycle [Book: Reference Book (Rideback) - 3,500 Ryo] I picked up? It's kind of a pain to make the blasted thing work when I don't actually know what everything does, yanno?

Greetings and Good Tidings good Gift Giver,

As you may remember I am Katsu Kazeraikou, of the Lightning Country. You might also recall my love of learning things and acquiring knowledge. Last year I did enjoy the books that I was given, and this year I similarly wish for texts. These ones however are rare to find in the shops, and even know I've the Ryo to obtain many of these texts the chance to actually find one in a shop is frustratingly small.

If I didn't know that as Santa's replacement you can't be bribed (as what use is material wealth to a being that can create things from magic?) I would implore you to rather than gift me a single book to take the market value of Ryo for the books I want in return for all of those books. However I know that I should be grateful for the gifts that you give and not complain about what I get.

So, I suppose in short, I want to ask for all the following books, willing to give up the Ryo for them all if possible. If that is not possible I would instead ask for these books to all be in stock at the Yurei-to Book shop in the Land of Fang during the coming week, where I would purchase the books from there. If neither of these is possible then I would ask for any one of the books. Which one does not matter; I will eventually acquire them all, but I thank you for anything I get, no matter what it is Gift Giver. Have a Merry Christmas, and consider going out sometime besides the Holiday season, maybe we can talk over a drink together rather than me only asking for things from you.

Characters of CG or CN alignment can understand the concepts, but do not necessarily grasp the finer points. Dear Giver of gifts,

I would like a DNA library for starters. With those that I know and give me vials of DNA samples. Yes I have acquired a way to brew their blood, though it may not provide me sustenance, I would like a catalog of flavors to taste. If you would please place them in vials, that would be most efficient. If this is not possible, I would like an Emyreal Net, as I have found flying to be a tactic used by some, and thus I need a method of countering this. And finally if I have been too much of a trouble this year, as I may have sucked dry too many victims, I would settle upon a Melody arm.

Empyreal Net

Effect: A net created wings of cloth to reduce descend and negate fall damage.

Description: An Empyreal Net is a lightweight vest containing a light coil of alchemically-strengthened fabric. When released, the net spreads out into ultra light cloth wings along the user's back, instantly reducing the rate at which they fall to a maximum of a mere 18 meters per round. User takes no damage upon landing while the device is deployed, regardless of the height user fell from. An empyreal net also grants an average maneuverability, though user always descends at a rate of at least 10 meters per round. As long as the user is wearing the empyreal net and have set it up to deploy properly, it requires only a movement to use this device; otherwise it takes 1-full round to put the device on and situate it on the user's back. The Empyreal Net automatically repacks itself when the user lands, and the user need not spend a movement to untangle themselves from the net or to prepare it for later use. This is also an Apparel Enhancement and may be applied to apparel objects attached to the user's torso.

Melody Arm

Effect: The Melody Arm is a porous metal gauntlet that is worn on the arm.

Drawback: May only be used in close-range.
Description: Picture The Melody Arm, a porous metal device located worn on the user's arm, is used to amplify the sound waves from arm movements to attack their opponent. By generating enough sound, the user can redirect the waves in mid-air to their intended target. Giant holes are attached to the sides of the gauntlet to release the sound. How the opponent is affected by the sound is dependent on where the opponent is hit or how the user directs the sound with their chakra.

By damaging the victim's inner ear, the victim is rendered deafened, confused, and nauseous for 2 rounds. This attack may be used once per round. The gauntlet releases enough sound energy capable of "C" rank worth of damage against chakra defenses.
By directing through water weight of the victim's body (center of body), the victim is rendered dazed, and paralyzed for 1d4+2 rounds. This attack may be used once per round. The gauntlet releases enough sound energy capable of "B" rank worth of damage against chakra defenses.


It can also act as a defense by blocking kunai and shuriken as well as other weapons since this item is considered as a Gauntlet as well.

To Gift Giver,

I was skeptical at first to if you existed or not, someone who gives out gifts across the entire ninja world just doesn't seem logical to me. Although I am writing this letter in good spirit for the sake of everyone in Sunagakure. Everybody else seems to be doing this for some reason, I like the feeling behind all of this; so that's why I am writing to you.

As for what I want I am not sure, I heard that the Sunagakure hospitals are low on supplies so a medical unit(125k) would be nice. Apart from that the only other thing I want is to be strong enough to protect the citizens of my village. Though I don't suppose you could simply put that knowledge in my head, I'm still skeptical about this whole thing but if anyone could do that I'm sure you could.

If you could somehow gift me that knowledge it would be perfect, though I doubt that is gonna happen. If all else fails I could use some extra zooming vision for my sniper goggles(1k per extra x1 zoom, max x100). Anyway, good luck delivering your gifts!

I was told I had to write a letter to you Mr gift giver. I'm not sure if you're real or not and I hope I'll be able to get a confirmation letter back. There has been dark times, or that's just the world, but I've began to doubt the spoken word. So send me a letter, a token or just a sign.
These are empty words aren't they? Well, since I know that you cannot give me what I actually want, a peaceful amegakure in which I can live with my happy family I'd just test your existence by asking you for some real gifts. I'm not sure of how powerful you are and what items you have at your disposal, but a full body corsette certainly would assist me in my coming goals. And despite my poor ability to read, a few books or a teacher wouldn't be something I'd say no to. So once again, if you're actually there and wants me to believe in you, send me a sign.

I normally don't do these kinds of things. I don't like asking for help or stuff, but I feel like this could help me better protect my home, especially in the coming war. My name is Raika, a shinobi of Kumogakure. I heard that the previous giver of gifts, Santa Claus, passed away, and I was saddened. However, I then find out you took his place, so now my pleas go to you.

I wish first for a blade that I have been unable to find anywhere. Its name is the Kyuushi, a powerful sword that would be of great assistance in the coming fight. There are not many like it, and there are few other things I would like. However, should that be impossible, I will ask for other, smaller things as well. I would like a Pouch Projector: Dual Release, to go along with pouch bombs I have recently acquired. I would also like Pouches of lightning, flash, and/or smoke, any number would be good.   Effect: The Kyuushi is mainly used to slash or pierce a target of the users choosing.
  Special: It utilizes and amplifies the lightning release element. Paralysis-based weapon.
  Drawback: Must train different sessions to master the use for this weapon. Must have Mastered Lightning Style to use in battle else the user will be shocked with an A rank amount of electricity.
  Description: Picture. The katana is about a two inches longer than a regular katana as well as its thickness. Its main colours are gold and somewhat beige and as for the use of the blade, the sword was crafted for the use of lightning release for it being possible for paralyzing a target with a slash. The Kyuushi is heavier than it looks due to its high craftsmanship, which makes the sword about 50lbs heavy. The blade is made out of pure steel which is rare in some cases and extremely hard to find. Due to its rareness, it is extremely hard and difficult to break, bend or destroy. Long ago there was a sword smith fabled for his crafting prowess as he made swords many believed to be worthy of the gods though this was not enough for him and he looked to make even better swords, swords that made other swords look like toys in comparison. To this end he collected up a variety of other swords that themselves were considered legend and studied them to see what made them so great however he found nothing special as the swords were old, over one-hundred years old, and so to discover what truly made them so special he restored them as best he could and the result was amazing. After existing for over one-hundred years the blades had gained souls, consciousness’s, in short, the swords have an inner spirit where (only) the user can contact and speak with during any time and upon their restoration their true power was then released as the blades took on the power of lightning. With their consciousness, the user finds it more understandable to understand techniques for the sword, how to use it, and the sword itself. The sword Smith was marveled by this and tried to wield one of the blades however he was stricken down upon swinging the blade as lightning coursed through his body burning him alive from the inside out. The blades only allow select individuals wield them.
  Limit: The blades are very rare and as such a Die roll is a must. There is only a ten percent (10%) chance of finding the blade (can only roll once per Item shop).

  Description: A device that fits as a backpack that attaches tubes to either a hand held release device, or on the a Wrist device. The Tubes range in size depending on the size of the user, and the type of release device is being used. The Release device also ranges in size. Some have release devices that is the size of Pistol Crossbows, while others are in the size of Rifle Crossbows, and some are small enough to attach on Gauntlets. The backpack is outfitted with 6 Cylinders (3 per Release Device). Each Cylinder can carry 1 Slot of Pouches. When a cylinder is locked and loaded, it will chamber a pouch. When the Release Device is triggered, specialized gadgets will siphon the components from inside the Pouch, release it through the tube, then exit the Release Device. The Release device is outfitted with 2 dials. 1 Dial controls a mechanism that can switch from cylinder to cylinder, while the 2nd Dial controls how the component of the pouch will be released (Line, or Cone). Only 1 Cylinder may be locked at a time. Switching between cylinders takes 1 second worth of time. Cylinders may be hand reloaded. The Projector releases the contents in a Cone of 19 meters, or in a Line of 38 meters per trigger action. I ask that you please ignore my... Horrifying hand writing. I've never really written a letter before you see... I've never had anyone to write one for! So I don't have the best of hand writing... But I was told I should write you a letter with my wish list for the holidays, so I guess I'll just have to try. This is completely new to me, and I don't really ask anyone for anything, so I'm not sure what to ask for. There has to be something that I want that can help me... Oh I'm writing that down?! That was meant to be in my head!! Why did I write that too?! Oh no the eraser isn't working!

Dear Gift Giver,

I'm not entirely used to writing letters so I ask you to forgive me if I do something wrong. I heard that I should write you my wish list, and I've compiled a list of items that I feel would better help me accomplish my goals so I can become stronger and better aid my village.

The first of these items would be some textbooks. You see I'm quite the avid reader. I'd be happy with just about any that could help me in different skills, but if I must list a certain kind, I'll include a list at the bottom of my letter. These would help me improve my botany and herbalism skills so that I can put them to use. They would also help me learn a different kind if skill that may one day help me craft items for the village.

The next item, and really the only thing other than some books, would be one of those PIP-Boy items. That would be all the things I want.
