Revealing the darkness

he instance where he began to channel his divine power, the door slam open and revealed a small group. Despite that he hadn't finished the preparations for the technique, he almost released it prematurely. But as the first face he saw was a familiar one that instilled him with a calm sensation, he stopped himself and analyzed the group. The first one was Jasmine, someone he had met at several occasion, all which had given him a positive view o her. But as he looked close upon the ANBU's in her group, he was able to connect two of them to individuals he had investigated. That had him grind his teeth as he began to think of ways he could use the situation to his advantage. When the young lady then spoke, Emi had a chill go down his spine, making him reveal an uncomfortable grin. But he allowed her to finish speaking before he took a deep breath and stopped his chakra manipulation. Emi scratched massaged his temples using his right hand before he had his arms hang on the side while slowly sitting down on the floor. To show even more benevolence, Emi had his bankai vanish before he spoke.

Despite that I have no idea of the circumstances around you becoming kage or who felt had the authority to announce you as such, when the council even seems surprised, there's few I trust to remain true to the village than you. So I am sad to say that I will need for you to comply with 3 demands before I can give you the truth.

Emi kept his eyes move around on the individuals that he knew could stab him any second, and even though he wanted it to happen, it needed to happen after most of the information had been leaked.

The first one is to get two or three ANBU wolves in here to tell out any truths or lies, do however not bring anyone from squad two. The second request is to have the room completely surrounded to avoid anyone escape from here, and finally I need for those two to be removed from this meeting.

He then pointed at the two guards that he knew had been investigated for assisting the council in their preparations and had suspicious outcome from missions. The Hoshigaki then closed his eyes and placed his hands upon his knees, being utterly exposed to anyone wanting to strike him.

Emi had chosen to sit down once I had began speaking. My shoulders sagged slightly, but I still felt tense about the situation. Emi was far from happy and compliant; I could easily see that by the way he observed the occupants in the room. This suggested that he was not ready to surrender without issuing a few demands himself. Firstly he voiced his opinion on how I was elected Amekage before moving on to issuing a few demands. His thoughts mirrored my own on the first part. I mean, was I even qualified for the job? Why did they choose me? “My thoughts exactly. How do we know that you are who you say you are?” Koda spoke up then, obviously thinking the same thing. I shoot the councilman a sour look before taking a deep breath. “I understand your concerns, gentlemen.” I begin, choosing my words carefully. “I know that I am without proof of who I say I am. I had only found out about this the moment I entered the tower this morning,” I say, giving each member a look within the room [leadership]. “The secretary had informed me of this when I had simply come in to see if there were any missions available, so this is as new to me as it is for you. But considering the seriousness of this situation, I would be a fool to lie regarding something as serious as being Amekage.” I said, my voice firm. But as Emi mentioned his demands, I glanced at the two AnBU he had pointed out in his final demand. So there were leaks in the black ops as well? What kind of village was the previous Amekage running exactly? Said AnBU both looked in my direction and from what I saw in their body language, it was apparent that they did not want to be dismissed. I turn to the AnBU cat nearest me. “Bring in three of the most senior wolves from squad seven please.” I give the order. The cat slipped out of the room for a brief moment before returning a few moments later with two female wolves and a male. Said wolves moved to stand around the party in the form of a triangle and began weaving a set of handseals. “Wolves, you are ordered to shock anyone who speaks within this room that you suspect are telling a lie. The bear nearest the door will seal the room to prevent anyone from leaving.” I said. “The tower itself is already on lock down as it is, so any movement coming to and from the tower is being recorded as we speak.” I said directly to Emi. “I may be new to this, but I do take these situations very seriously. Hopefully that serves well for your second demand.” I said. As for the final demand, I jerk my head toward the door. “Send for two replacements from squad four.” I say, opening the door and stepping aside. “But ma’am.. You can’t be serious? You would trust the words of a traitor over your own guards?” One of the two AnBU Emi had pointed out retorted. “I want the truth from everyone and if it means that you two are to be excused from this meeting, then so be it.” I replied. “You can’t be serious. She is obviously on Emi’s side. This is ridiculous!” Koda exclaimed. “Koda, be quiet.” I snapped. “If I am not addressing you directly, then you are to remain silent until I address you. This applies to everyone in the room.” I say hotly, once again giving all occupants within the room a shared glance. “If you speak out of turn again, I will give the wolves the green light in delivering shocks equivalent of an A ranked jutsu. Do I make myself clear?” I said firmly. Daring anyone to open their mouth without permission. “The two AnBU Emi had pointed out please leave and send in two replacements from squad four.” I said again before turning to Emi. The Uchiha moved through the village with grace and fluidity, his steps short and light, quick and swift; it may have looked as if he was in a rush, but this was not the case- he simply moved with the agility of a true shinobi. Heavy rain bombarded the village doing well to coat the boy’s ebony cloak with its’ watery essence. The hood, coupled with the jet black lion’s mane that fell elegantly from his crown protected his face from the onslaught of the downpour. Two blades were fastened across his back , horizontally, both facing different directions, hooked into a black sash that matched the color of the loose-fitted robes he wore unique to those of the Uchiha.

A leap began his descent from the rooftops, his ability to jump good nothing short of masterful, and his ability to manipulate his soul would turn this drop from such a great height into child’s play. He would hit the ground with the softest thud not too far from the front of the tower. Speed of travel and maneuverability was the reason the Uchiha had left his companion Burakku behind. The sabretooth was too large to maneuver as swiftly as he did, and there was something urgent that he need to tell Lady Taliyah Rose concerning his assignment.

Hopefully, she’d understand.

Arriving at the tower doors it was second nature for him to reach out, grasp, and attempt to open the door. To his surprise, the twin doors would not budge even when extra force was applied. Onyx occuli scanned the area surrounding, using his skill in observation to see just what he could gleam. It wasn’t often that the tower was closed, and the lack of guards posted outside created an uneasy suspicion with the Uchiha’s mind. He raised his right hand to knock, while thoughts began to bubble to the surface of his mind.

“What’s going on?”, he thought to himself as his fist slammed into the metal of the door.

One knock… two knocks… three….

Storytime

he demands he had given had been taken surprisingly well, allowing the young Hoshigaki to relax further and even feel a spark of hope. He did however not dare to take anything for granted and remained suspicious of his surroundings. When he had analyzed the new individuals that had joined them, Emi smiled and nodded to Jasmine.

Nothing else is required.

Emi then awaited for the wolves and bears to set things up, so he knew stuff would remain in the status quo. Then he cleared his throat and began his story.

When I first came here, the village was bright and strong, despite that people rarely showed their joy, it was clear it was quite common among most people. The leader was wise and strong while the council covered any and all lacking information needed to govern. It was easy to see why people were drawn into the village for security. But for reasons still not revealed, the leader suddenly became a rogue along with his closest friends. Despite that the council was very competent and was able to continue without him, they had to cover the security threat and therefor send out hunters to retrieve the former leader.

It was intentional of him to make sure to highlight how good the council actually had been, both to make them relax a little, but also to have the betrayal sting all the harder.

The public story was that it was in vain and that the leader had gotten too far, but in truth several of the hunters joined up with the rogues and slaughtered those that joined up. That was hard blow for the nation as a large portion of the strongest had vanished in a couple of weeks. It wasn't long before the criminals noticed the sudden drop in security and began to rise in strength. The council did notice the change and tried to work around it by training individuals through a harsher training protocol and appointed a new leader. That did however not work in their favor as the freshly recruits proved easily corrupted and they were unable to keep the new leader from ruining things they knew were essential.

Since his investigation hadn't revealed much more about that time period and he didn't want to speculate, Emi then just looked up on the council, to see their reaction to his story as he continued.

But as the general public in most hidden villages expect there to be a military leader, I have to assume they knew they had to maintain such a position. So in an attempt to find the potential new leader they could follow, they went through a large amount of short term substitutes. During those chaotic years, the mafia grew and began to get a hold on pretty much the entire village with a large amount of high ranking ninjas at their command. So when the village finally got a capable leader that was able to remain a rolemodel, things started to change. The council along with the leader took assistance from other villages to take back some of the control over corrupted areas and cleansed the sewers from monster experiments.

Sadly, during those times there were a large grey zone of what one could and couldn't do for the sake of the village, so when things became under control, most in the council was leading semi criminal organizations. That lasted for a few years until the public started to get aware of the sudden rise of political power the council had gotten.

Emi took a fairly long breath as a pause, prepared that one of the blade could possibly come at any second at his throat or chest.

A couple of the strongest ninjas in the village then began a coupe to overthrow the leader, which they succeeded with in just a few days. Since the council was believed to just have followed the leader, they were allowed to remain, but with practically no space to move in. The new leader was strong and promoted strength in everyone, forcing the village into a lawful state - The Crimson Rain. There were a lot of blood spilled in a short amount of time and ties with other nations were cut instantly to make the village grow on its own. Despite those dark methods, the village began to get back into its old roots, the criminals drew back into the shadows and the loyalty was all time high.

But as that made everyone previously running the village loose everything they had worked hard for, they gathered their allies and had the leader vanish. That was the start of the civil war with the council on one side trying to rebuild their old nation, and the crimson rain on the other side. The different factions executed, replaced and played the coming leaders away from their position while trying to grow. It comes without saying that the nation immediately suffered along with all the ties we had with several nations before and during those times.

A little over 2 years ago, the council got declared as official villains as most of the village had moved over to the Crimson Rain faction of different reasons, but as the name had faded, they only went by Rain village again. A few members then got captured and was interrogated in the ANBU prison, revealing a plot to destroy the entire village using colossal summonings and their agents within the ANBU task force.

Emi took another breathing pause, still waiting to feel the sting of iron hit his flesh, proving the councils guilt.

The interrogation was however cut short as they managed to escape by the aid from their agents, making us forced to move into the prison that had been taken over by council-allied forces. We did so with the sand village, a nation he had little previous interactions with, but which proved most useful and cooperative.

The council then succeeded in removing another leader just in time for a kage summit. That was harsh, and I knew that it would damage the village in the long run if we were to be missing from such a meeting. So I, as one of the highest ranking members still alive, choose to appoint the most promising candidate we had found while searching for uncorrupted. I then followed her to the meeting as her teacher and counselor, making us regain neutral status with all nations yet again from the previous hostile.

When I then began to search for the council along with their agents and materials, I was able to uncover a few members that was still under cover, but too late as the appointed leader had vanished from our sight. As I realized we once again was leaderless and the actual attack was imminent, I was close to the embassy, which had a large amount of people queuing to get council. So I assisted them while getting some clearer views of the regular peoples suspicions. It was there and then I met with a representative from the village of sand, urging me to meet with their new leader. As I knew we would need them again within short, I then saw it as a perfect opportunity to once again get them as allies.

Since I was off from the village, I told the workers in the embassy to inform the tower about my travels, which didn't appear to have met the right hands. And with the council back in the tower, I believe they have used my absence to reclaim the village from the crimson rain.... any questions?

He then completely went quiet, as he had spoken for a long time and needed to see the reaction of everyone else in there before moving the meeting along.

boredom. Is there a cure?

Driving rain pelted the rooftops, echoing like background music throughout the tower lobby now that the commotion had somewhat died down. What's more, there wasn't much the lady could do now that the room had to some degree gone empty. Only a few people fluttered by, but it was quiet, too quiet. Stepping over the doorway and out of the wet was the first stage but now she didn’t know what to do. Mission? Or go and see what the commotion was really about. She had enough of Anbu bitches to realize that in the event that she did some snooping she would probably get her head chewed off and though half of her was energetic for some activity, the other half simply wished to curl up by a fire with a class of strong sake and watch the time cruise by.

The woman parked herself down on one of the vacant sofas just as the sound of knocking pounding on the door of the tower, much like she had done moments ago. A groan got away from her before she could reign it in and her eyes shut in disturbance. "Just ignore it. Not my concern. The bitch Anbu can do it." But rather she realized that the slamming would proceed on the off chance that somebody won't open the entryway at any point in the near future. Annoyance was a nasty emotion, one she did not like.

On closer examination of her surroundings, since she couldn't do quite a bit of anything other than wait, she noted that the place was soiled. Running a fingertip over the footstool before her, she instantly felt a thin layer of residue. What the heck did the general population here do? Amegakure has definitely gone to the pits...

Both the newly appointed Amekage and the Jounin had made two mistakes.. they believed the corruption within the Anbu units was contained to just two or three members .. they hadn't even considered the situation so serious, and yet as the scene would continue and play out, they would come to know it as a full blown infestation. Those pointed out by Emi to be removed were taken out, but they were easily replaced with operatives rogue to the state.

Irony personified-- Emi had been a well known agent of the Anbu, yet his knowledge of those around him was limited; what he did know was a result of precise manipulation by those in lieu with the corruption. On the opposite hand, the enemy knew him quite well: a taijutsu offensive with a proficiency in the Earth Release, a master crafter, and enhanced by the ritual of the Hoshigaki. With a chakra level that transcended most, perhaps the most dangerous thing about him was his ability to maneuver and relocate within an instant.

Unfortunately for him, his abilities were common knowledge for the village .. and they had contingencies in place for when the jounin had to be removed.

It seemed the day had finally come...

This would come as a result of their second mistake .. believing that Koda Yatsuhiro would stand idly by while the council's crimes were brought to light. Both rude and arrogant, Emi wouldn't make it through his revelation before Koda and his entourage began their assault. It started moments before the Hoshigaki would even notice-- purely invisible threads of chakra stretched from Koda's hands as they rested by his side. He was masterful with his ninjutsu, and so the slightest twitch of his fingers saw to it that his chakra threads stealthily latched onto Emi words continued to spill from his mouth.

The first true hint of the assault the shark man would notice was the self-proclaimed Amekage being grabbed and shocked into unconsciousness by the same ANBU she had spat commands at just minutes before. His grip was one of iron, and with electricity coursing from his palm directly into her cerebral, the red head would fall into a slumber from the sneak attack. No doubt this would catch the jounin's immediate attention, and he knew the face of Hayakawa Motoyuki all too well. With the hand opposite the hand he held Jasmine in, he performed handseals and smirked as both he and the kunoichi faded from view.

The moment he moved he would feel one of two things. Depending on the precise moment he attempted to move, he would either be restricted by the puppet strings Koda had stealthily attached to him, or the Art of the Valentine technique cast forth by Mae Sako, who due to her positioning behind Emi had easily targeted him with her clan technique. When under its curtain, she would be in total control. She too, like Koda, was stealthy in her approach .. And skillfully before applying her mind transfer techniques, she invoked the powers of the venator judgment "Anchoring" upon her allies grieves, which would seal the Hoshigaki jounin to this plane.

Once all of this registered, Emi would be staring directly into the face of Hanazawa Kamyuja-- a hulking, monstrosity of a man who knew no limits thanks to his kekkei genkai. And outstretched hands reached forth to grapple...

Shintenshin no Jutsu (Art of the Valentine)

Effect: The Yamanaka sends his or her mind into his or her opponent’s mind. Once in the opponent’s body they may manipulate it as much as they want.
Special: The Oval Hand seal directed at the opponent.
Drawback: The mind is only projected in a straight line, making it easy to dodge. If the mind transfer is dodged, the user’s body will be left comatose for at least three of the user’s posts. Any damage dealt to the possessed body will be suffered by the user’s body also.
Description: Directing the oval hand seal to their opponent, the Yamanaka is able to propel their mind into their opponent’s body. If the technique is successful the user can they manipulate the victim’s body. If the user has the same Class as the person possessed they may stay within the body for five posts. Description: Affects 2 or more creatures within 55 meters of each other. The user is able to perform this technique at a distance of 120 meters plus 60 meters per class level. The duration of this technique lasts for 5 minutes per class level. Individuals in the group cannot see each other. The Jutsu is broken for any individual who moves more than 55 meters from the nearest member of the group. (If only 2 individuals are affected, the 1 moving away from the other one loses its invisibility. If both are moving away from each other, they both become visible when the distance between them exceeds 55 meters).

Captured!

he quiet surroundings unnerved him and had him open his eyes much sooner than intended. For some reason, he noticed a hint of satisfaction in the bodylanguage of the guards. when he then tried to tirn around to see if hos growing gut feeling was correct, he got it confirmed as he no longer could control his own head. Emi then immediately cursed himself for being naive enough to believe there still uncorrupted ninjas around him. The locked position isolated his mind from his body, making each beat of his heart and breath a distant sensation. Even though it had him get slightly panicked, it was something strangely comforting to live without a physical presence. But as he began to analyze his situation, he noticed that it wasnt just a locked body he was trapped within, he had compqny trying to use it.

His first thought was that he had veen trapped within a very strong genjutsu, which gave him a brief moment of hope until he found himself unable to break free. The reality didnt seem to budge even the slightest, which had him doubt the possible illusion. Because even though he suspected there were persons capable of putting that kind of illusion on him, he doubted that the council carried such strength. So he had to suspect that it was in fact real, making the visage of the massive councilman approaching his entity all the more worrysome. In a rebellous attempt, Emi tried to strengthen his mind and even used his connection to his goddess to clear himself from the mental constriction.

When Emi then finally found himself utterly bound, he couldnt help but feel hopeless. He had never been so imcapable of doing anyyhing, never been a prisoner inside his own flesh and especially had he never had his soul so vulnerable. But after a few seconds of almost giving up, his fiery soul sparked and made him realize that all wasnt lost until he met Nenyana. So he began to construct a plan, to make sure he would be able to get away, and then what would be done afterwards. It wasnt very complex, but it gave him hope. And to start it off, Emi tried to produce a mental idea and image to show the invader of his mind. An image that would appear to be a memory of being created as a clone of the original. He didnt know if the invader saw it, but he hoped.

From within the deepest and darkest depths of his cerebral, the council-woman, Mae Sako, could feel the human shark attempting to release himself from the grip of her jutsu. A shinobi like him .. she knew it would only be a matter of time before he would be able to break free, and so the success of her endeavors would largely depend on both Koda's chakra strings, and the proceeding actions of the monster Hanazawa. He was probably one of the few of them who could stand toe to toe with the Hoshigaki, but if everything went according to plan he wouldn't need to.

While trapped within the confines of his own mind, perhaps he would be able to feel the doubts and worries that plagued Mae Sako's consciousness. She was part of the conspiracy yes, but to say she truly wished to be apart of what her colleagues were doing would be false. Her loyalty and allegiance had always been to Amegakure -- the true Amegakure-- and still to this day she was loyal. She was simply outnumbered when it came to the other six .. and so she simply fell in line. Although powerful on her own, she could do nothing against the other six by herself.

And like he could feel what she was feeling(vaguely), she too had caught a glimpse of the memory he was attempting to show her. Intriguing.. she knew not what to make of it, but would keep it to herself for now.

Her mind prison had worked for the moment, but every second that passed she could feel the hold on Emi slipping. It wouldn't be long before he was able to force her from within..

Fortunately, each one of them were captains of an Anbu division, and as such their teamwork and planning was next to impeccable. On cue, Hanazawa would bring both his hands together, equipped with the anchoring greaves, and cup it around the Hoshigaki's head, giving Mae a split-second to exit his mind before the Kamyuja sent electricity coursing through the Hoshigaki's head. This was a universal technique of the Anbu, one used to paralyze and incapacitate a target. The lightning would course through him as quickly as it could, yet Hanazawa would make sure to cut it off the moment Emi passed out.

Quickly wasting no time, Hanazawa would perform the "Hainawa No Jutsu", another technique of the Anbu, this one used to bind targets. It would see to the creation of a chakra rope, strong as tempered steel, and would find itself wrapping around the Hoshigaki's torso. More would be conjured to secure his hands, feet, legs, and arms for transport.

Before his consciousness was lost, perhaps he would have heard Koda's last order: "Hurry and get him to the prison! Do not be seen!", he barked toward the few operatives that still plagued the room. They showed no hesitation, would grab Emi and be off.

It may have been better to kill him then and there, but the council had their own way of doing things. They would need him alive for the next stage of their plan.

Hainawa no Jutsu ["Crawling Rope Technique"]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates a small rope of chakra that is used to quickly bind either the opponent's legs or arms.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: The rope is made out of chakra, meaning that it is capable of being destroyed by things that drain chakra.
Description: Performing the required handseals, the user creates a rope of chakra that can have a length that varies based upon the user's technique level. This rope is then launched towards the opponent quickly, giving them little reaction time. As the rope strikes the opponent, it quickly encircles either their legs or arms in order to prevent movement. This can be used as both a capturing-type technique or a delaying type technique to give the user more time to strike an opponent in combat. The rope has the strength of tempered steel, making it very difficult to escape from.

he mental struggle was far different than what he was accustomed to as his opponent didn't try to manipulate his mind, but to replace it with her own. It made him both uncomfortable and clumsy in his attempts to break free, which he only made up with by the sheer force of his will and mind. The hoshigaki had little interest or knowledge in how to communicate with his enslaver. But despite that fact, some vague hints of her consciousness seemed to leak into his own. It was almost impossible for him to make anything out of the details being presented, but the small fraction of time that he got curious enough to attempt to decrypt her thoughts, he lost most of his traction to release himself. It was infuriating as he had done so unconsciously and had then only himself to blame for the failure.

During the rest of the encounter in his mind, Emi slowly began to comprehend the brief touch he had had with the woman. Something was amiss, there were not the same kind of loyalty to the others that he had expected and a strong urge connected with a beautiful image of what he believed was a thriving Amegakure. The information didn't make him any wiser, since he didn't know if he truly could trust the things he found, or if it had been a similar plot as his own image. But since he had not been receiving any further connections, Emi had a small hope that it had in fact been genuine and not a part of a larger plan.

The council didn't seem to waste any time with him and just kept on adding things to his already captured body. But when the electrical technique was incoming, Emi was able to feel a brief joyful sensation as his mind was connected back with his body before the jolt hit him. The intense power had his entire being twitch, which got even worse as chakra surged within him from being subjected to pain. It was a dark chakra that could be hinted for a short second as it almost leaked out of his skin from the overload. But Emi was never allowed the opportunity to use it as his brain got fried and the weak signals it normally send was silenced by the massive wave that had hit it. The room disappeared in a mumble and darkness as his limbs and muscles relaxed, spreading themselves out in the embrace of the massive man.

From the safety of her own body, Mae watched the scene unfold through azure oculars-- his arms were the first to go, falling lifeless on either side of his body with his head following shorty after. Everyone would be on edge until the shark's legs gave way and his body slid to the floor with a thud. She watched as two unnamed Anbu operatives collected the bound body of Emi and made their leave from the tower.

They hadn't made too much commotion, not too much of a mess, and so it would be nothing for the remainder of the rogue operatives to clean up what had been damaged, broken, or otherwise destroyed at behest of the Kamyuja captain. Soon after, Hanazawa made his leave .. he made his way toward the prison, intending to make sure his boys got Emi to exactly where they needed him and understood the parameters that had been set.

At this particular time, Emi Hoshigaki was the single, biggest threat to their control over the Hidden Rain.

Mae didn't follow; instead, she made her way down to the lobby floor of the tower. As a medical specialist, and captain of the Frog Division, she was one of the more popular captains among the people. Her job now was damage control-- they needed her kind persona, and her image as protector and healer to repair any public relations that may have resulted from what just occurred.

The only council member not present during all of this was Agano Nomi, captain of the Owl division, which led one to wonder why, and where she was...

The assignment 

Thunder rolled and lightning flashed in a darkened sky as light shot through dark angry clouds that poured rivers of rain across the village of Ame, washing the day's muck from the streets into the sewers below where Celaena moved with cat-like grace through the building of the Tower. She was still clad in leather, however she had long since removed her coat and had that resting in the chair she had long since vacated.
She peered out of the window and stared down at the busy paths, gnawing a nail and pondering with bored fascination at how her life had turned from great to shitty in a matter of days. With a sigh she turned and made her way toward the bulletin board to read over what was needed to be done. Anything to pass the time. When nothing juicy stands out from the rest she aimlessly tears a sheet from its pin and approaches the front desk. The female slaps the paper down and softly speaks:

“I’ll take this slip for the reward of five thousand, six hundred and twenty five ryo. Would I be able to have the document on the detainee?"

The female folded her arms and stared at the character behind the lobby desk. She wasn't sure if she would be getting the convict’s details here and now or later at the Prison. She would prefer some information of her target but if not then she would simply accept that. Either way, she will complete this mission, alone or with an accomplice.

Description: [Amegakure Prison] During its sadistic days, Amegakure forced its shinobi to execute a prisoner as a rite of passage. No longer mandatory, the remnants of the tradition still linger. To prepare shinobi for what they will eventually face out in the field, they are asked to execute a prisoner on death row personally. Though back in the day, one would be recorded doing so, to see if they lacked the empathy, now that is no longer needed. You will simply be asked to execute the prisoner.

It would seem she had entered the lobby at the exact moment she needed to, as there was a woman- a kunouchi- at the desk requesting to take a mission. The usual clerk, the red haired Asaka, had been apart of the corruption coalition and had fled the scene with her accomplices beforehand. Mae Sako would fill in for the moment, and would be the one to approve the mission. She had never encountered this particular ninja before, or if she had in the past she did not remember. The council woman would look through the shinobi files later -- perhaps this kunoichi could aid in the quest of Amegakure's liberation.

Hopeful thinking, but Mae would stamp and approve the mission, instructing the vibrant Celaena that the prisoner she was to execute would be revealed by the warden of the prison upon her arrival. She passed the woman a stamp of approval, which would grant her access to the prison, before explaining to her the payout would be increased to ten thousand ryo.

A friendly gesture if you will, or perhaps a down payment for a loyal ninja .. she was not like the others, but Mae Sako was conniving in her own ways.

TEn thousand?! sweet! 

It would seem that being waited upon was common these days. She felt her arms harden in their overlay against her chest as impatience developed. Her body was ramrod straight however her right foot began tapping out a sporadic beat, the underside of her boot skipping with sound. ‘Tick, tick, tick.’ Could almost be mistaken for step dancing but only with one foot and not both. All the while doing this, her face would remain vacant, an accomplishment essentially to express her building temper should one know her well. When her temper grew too intense for her to bear it any longer, her eyes would close and her lips would tighten to form a disturbing line. If she were an animal she would be growling by now.

The sound of a thump pursued rapidly by the stir of papers made her eyes open. What's more, there stood a lady whom she was not acquainted of. The outsider educated that the data on the detainee would be given by the superintendent, and the Kamyuja was not overly surprised. She gathered this as the likely conclusion but thought to ask beforehand anyway hoping to get some knowledge on the person she was going to kill. She wasn’t disappointed however she felt her face slip anyway.

Her fingers agilely brought the acknowledged slip into her grasp and were about to turn to leave when she heard the reward would be increased to ten thousand. There was no explanation clarifying the reason for the amount but she wasn’t going to turn down a gift horse in the mouth, no matter how strange it appeared. Insidiously, one nod as in agreement if the woman would comprehend, she turned to retrieve her leather coat before leaving the tower with a satisfied smirk.

"Ten thousand to murder some poor bastard. How fulfilling." Would be heard before the sound of the door closing behind her.

he embrace of the nothingness was as usually soothing and calm. No thought or action went through his completely relaxed body. He was out cold, and anyone with a medical degree could see that it was no lie. That allowed for the council to do what they wished, for that moment. Because even as they left the tower, his body had already regenerated large portions of the fried areas in his brain. They were fighting the clock.

Laena's heels clicked on the sidewalk and splashed in puddles as she walked toward her destination: The Tower. She didn't notice the chill and she barely felt the rain. She took the stairs two at a time before pulling the door hoping to be allowed inside. On the off chance that someone needed to give her access, she wasn't waiting to find out. Not this time.

Once inside, she would slip out of her drenched leather jacket and simply allow it to fall to the floor. She appeared in the same clothes as seen in the past day and didn’t care if she looked like hell. Blood was on her as she approached the lobby, and in her right hand, she gripped a bag with the head of the dead prisoner trapped inside. When she reached the desk and dangled the bag over the desk and allowed it to drop. Then she pulled out the slip and handed that over also. With a small smile, she waited without words as none were required.

The kamyujan princess had turned many of heads as she entered through the steel doors of the tower, still drenched in blood from the prisoner she had been tasked with eliminating from this world. She strudded through confidently, making eye contact with none, other than Mae Sako, who was still there filling in for her once comrade Asaka. The ANBU she had assigned to observe the chunin came back with an interesting report. She had displayed many qualities of a fine shinobi, but there was one thing that worried them.. she seemed to be unnaturally sadistic.

Regardless, Mae Sako was pleased, evident on her face as she handed over the money as promised.

"the Hidden Rain will need you again soon...", she said to the Kamyuja. For now, she was free to go about her business. She was, after all, ten thousand dollars richer.

The enduring trickle of water sounded, making a puddle at her feet as she remained at the hall receiving her payment. The interesting lady with no name to recollect appeared to be excessively satisfied, and the emotion seemed catchy. However, too blase in the glory of her overly attuned emotions, she enabled her presumptuous grin to drop. She took the reward and pushed the notes down her corset, between her bosom.

"Hmph. You know where to find me." And with that she turned and left, retrieving her leather coat on her way out.

/ Enter the Amegakure Tower

Today was going to be one of exploration. Izanami for quite some time now has been preoccupied with her thoughts, but now she wishes to make a change. To venture outward beyond the twisted complex of her mind. With very subtle steps her short and curvy frame moved through the opened front foors of the tower. Her crimson eyes, glowed very eerily within the lobby. Her entire figure, although small was imposing visually. But...there wasn't really much besides bad blood on the inside.

With a soft scan of the room, Izanami would quickly take note of all the different details. This place...was changing it seems. Some thing she hasn't seen in years no doubt. But a woman of her age never looks to get too comfortable. With a gentle grace Izanami began to move towards whomever she needed to speak to. Her body clad in a customized outfit that consisted mostly of black leather. A full body suit of some kind, that only added to get gothic appearance as her long white hair flowed behind her back. Her village headband inappropriately acting as a belt or sash around her waist.

With a calm motion her eyes would stare at whoever she was about to speak to. Her left hand, kindly placing a sheet of paper that had a mission posting on it. With a deathly calm voice she would then speak.

"I would like to handle this as soon as possible. I have much that I wish to do..."

The kunoichi would speak to the council woman, Mae Sako, a captain of the ANBU FROG division who was filling in for the current receptionist due to recent actions taken by the corrupt council. This woman, Izanami-- Mae had never come across her before, although it Was The same for most of the genin in the village. Without hesitation she handed the genin her stamp of approval, which would allow her to both take the mission she requested, and allow her entry into the prison.

The ryo payout would be increased to ten thousand, just like the previous shinobi who had taken the mission.

The details as to who she was to execute would be provided once she reached the prison and was given entry. Time was of the essence, and Mae wondered if this kunoichi would be of any use in her upcoming plot to free the village from her corrupted comrades.
